This has been our go to coffee shop for years. No joke the coffee is among the best in the city (evident by the line that goes out the door). Their pastries are just as good and the ambience inside of the store makes it feel like a plant store. They also do nighttime events and have a kitchenette area where you can have special tastings. Perfect place to study. The outdoor patio is a huge plus as well!
Had a cortadito decaf and an Americano at Tenfold Coffee and both were excellent. The flavor was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — even the decaf had depth and character. The atmosphere is cozy and ideal for working or catching up with friends. Truly great coffee.
Tenfold Coffee Heights location was apart of the Caffeine Crawl on February 21. Drea did an exceptional job of showcasing several of their drinks, informing attendees about the coffee farm and beans of one of the coffees that was featured, as well as sharing about their special brown sugar syrup they make using brown sugar from Okinawa, Japan.
I would rank Tenfold in my top 5 specialty coffee spots in Houston. In terms of the physical space, I'd rank it #1. The design is open, there's lots of light, there is plenty of seating, plenty of parking, a comfortable, shaded outdoor space, and they roast on-site. The lines can be a bit long in the morning.
Very good coffee. This is becoming one of my favorite coffee spots in Houston. There’s a reason why it is often busy. I often buy a bag of beans when I go, and this place doesn’t give you as many beans as other coffee shops for the same price, but their beans tend to be slightly better than some of the other coffee shops in the area.
BANGER. Loved their espresso tonic and huckleberry latte! The espresso is delicious and environment is lively with tons of open space for remote work, albeit very cold inside, so do bring a jacket if you plan on being there for a while. They also have a section inside for their coffee classes, which seem very cool!
Tenfold Coffee is what happens when an indie café decides to be genuinely cosmopolitan rather than merely pretend. Step inside and you’ll find a wonderfully mixed crowd: tech people typing furiously, students contemplating existential dread over a flat white, fashion-forward creatives in boots so white they defy known urban physics — and yes, that includes me. One corner of the room is charmingly not quite tidy, as if the café itself were whispering: “Relax. Real life happens here.” Industrial ducts snake overhead, large windows flood the space with natural light, and sociability seems to circulate as freely as the air. Now, the coffee: a revelation. The espresso is concentrated civilization — exactly as it should be — and the cappuccino is an elegant balance of foam and depth, not one of those half-liter dairy-fatigue exercises from anonymous multi-national chains-that-shall-not-be-named. The staff? Friendly, knowledgeable, and disarmingly competent — the sort of people who know precisely why this bean tastes like citrus and chocolate instead of simply shrugging at the universe. In sum: Tenfold isn’t just a café; it’s a microcosm of a city that thrives on difference. A place where everyone, no matter their background, finds caffeine, community, and a seat at the table. For all of that — the atmosphere, the humanity, the coffee artistry — five stars, unequivocally.
Was visiting Houston and was looking for another coffee place other than Starbucks since I find Starbucks coffee to be terrible. I was staying with my cousin who lives across the street from a Starbucks and I went there for a quick cup of coffee. They somehow overfilled it with milk and the coffee taste like mud. So I looked up some good coffee around where I was staying and found Ten Fold. Do yourself a favor and make the trip there. Ten Fold's coffee is like having a prime rib at a 5 star restaurant vs Starbucks having an overdone chewy piece of round beef at some diner. Ten Fold's staff is bright and articulate. I ended up buying 4 bags to take home with me. Will stop by every time I go to Houston.
The quick hits, it’s a top level coffee shop. They roast their own beans and do it well. The space feels open and inviting. Food options are decent for a coffee shop. It was busy when I went there and there was a line but it moves and the quality of the coffee is worth the wait if there is one.
Landed here by coincidence and I am glad I did. The spacious parking lot, outside patio, inside natural decor and fast service made it all worth it. The chai was delicious and felt super comfortable and relax sipping on my drink. The staff were friendly and the space smelled clean. They have some construction happening but it didn’t take from the relaxing experience. We got to sit at the bar where we could see a couple doing a coffee class. We were there long enough that we had to get a second drink after the first one. I will definitely be coming back.
Overall a pretty good experience 😌 Coffee was yummy, syrup selection is a little limited. They have lots of seating indoors as well as a nice covered patio. The wifi signal was very poor, so not great for working. It was very busy when we came around 1 pm, almost all of the seating was filled. Very large parking lot. They also do coffee classes and roast their own beans! The pastries looked very good too! - Pet friendly patio - Chairs are not the most comfy for staying a while - If you have a low car, you have to park in the street or you will scrape your bumper
They roast their beans open in store and the smell is refreshing. Their outdoor seating now has shade which is helpful in Houston. The cortado was the right size. They also had a strawberry syrup that was not too sweet and just perfect balance. Agree that the parking entrance is steep and you need to do it very slowly if you drive a low car.
Love this place. Great atmosphere, great coffee and great service. Order a Cappuccino and it was a bit strong for me so they kindly add more milk. Great indoor and outdoor seating. It was perfect! Will be coming back. There was taco truck outside if you want breakfast. Parking can be a little tricky. We had to wait less than 5 mins to find a parking spot. It was worth it.
Great service the people were so nice the cappuccino was a little too strong for my mom’s taste and they added more milk no extra charge. It was greatly appreciated. The coffee I had was so good, one of the best ice lattes I’ve had in a while. I will definitely be coming back. It is really busy and parking is limited but for sure worth it.
Tiramisu was nice. Vibe was depressing and service (especially the manager) was sad. Hopefully it was just today but all the employees seemed to hate being there. I went on a Monday afternoon. It was quiet. The beans are nothing special. Would not come again.
If you’re looking for a Matcha that tastes like Starbucks, then this might be the place for you but if you are a matcha connoisseur like me then this is not the place for you. Great spot to get coffee. It looks like, great space indoor and outdoor. They offer a wide selection of coffee. The Matcha was watered down and very plain just like milk. I will come back to try their coffee though.
Ok I know this review is way lower than most and I have to say it is not because of the staff. They know what they do and they are very friendly. But the place itself is not very cosy, very cold, not many seats or tables. The pour over coffee again is well made but the roast as well as the bean was rather underwhelming. Small roasting delta, rather dark roast and nothing special to be honest. Maybe it was just a bad pick on the beans but I expected more
If you look at my history you can see I visit a lot of coffee places. I decided to try this one based on reviews and unfortunately left without an impactful experience. Overall it was very underwhelming. First the coffee: it was strong and had a really good taste but unfortunately was not very hot. I’m not a super hot coffee type of person but this was basically room temperature. Something I also found really odd was that they didn’t have sugar. Just syrups. ???? I have never been to a coffee shop that didn’t have sugar. Pastries: we got two pastries, a chocolate croissant and a chicken pie. We asked both to be warmed up and while they were warm, much like the coffee, it was not very warm at all. Also, the chocolate croissant might as well be a regular croissant because the chocolate was basically nonexistent (see picture). I would advise them to add some sort of chocolate spread over their croissants. Overall the service was nice and the coffee place itself is a nice spot to catch up with a friend or do some studying but I wouldn’t recommend going on the food alone. I probably won’t be visiting this location again.
