Perfect spot to relax and enjoy reasonable Happy Hour food and drinks with generous portions. Immediately seated with courteous servers and staff. The Big Easy and Comfort Trio entrees did not disappoint. Perfect vibes to wind down on a Friday afternoon.
This is the best restaurant. Do not waste your time going to any of the others. Café Rían always service the food fresh and hot, just amazing. Never short of service and is always provides great server service. They were willing to meet every request we had. 5 stars are not enough. 11 STARS.
We love this place. I ordered the Mardi Gras potato. I could not finish it but i really wanted to. The flavor was amazing and it made good leftovers. My husbands favorite is the pasta. It has the same ingredients as the potato but he liked it better on pasta we also really like the entou dish which is on rice. The bouden balls are good also.
This was my first time and it was really good. I got the Trio because I wanted a little of everything and the TRIO did not disappoint. I enjoyed the Red Beans and Rice the best. I had a pick up order so I only saw the restaurant it was nice and clean and I was pleasantly surprised to see a bar. I will be going back to dine in and try other items. I definitely recommend.
the food & the service was amazing 10/10 definitely coming back with my mom
Came after church with my family and I was pleased from the moment I walked in. Full restaurant but we were seated immediately. Lemon drop was 10/10. Chicken & waffles was great, fish and grits were awesome, loaded oysters were ok-too much spinach. kids tenders were good. Yes- I ate off everyone’s plate. Jazz-were a 10/10.
Best dang cajun food I've had in a long time. Got a coke, an order of boudain balls as an appetizer, and the red fish pontchartrain over cheese grits for the main course. Total was 44$. Portion sizes were good, quality was excellent, and I left satisfied. Service was also great as well. They take cash and cards.
I can't express how awesome this place is. Delicious, authentic food with some personal touches that will keep us coming back. Very friendly staff, great music, amazing food. Parking lot and dining area are small, so keep your group to 4 or less for best results. Get the Shrimp & Grits!
This place is beyond amazing 👏 Rodney is very attentive with his guest and helps make sure that you feel like you are at home. The food is to die for. My favorite is the big easy with shrimp and crawfish etouffe along with the shrimp and grits. They season there food with just the right amount of spice were you can truly enjoys the food.
My 2nd time coming here and It is a great place to dine alone or with friends or family great atmosphere and very clean. Great hospitality feel very welcomed when entering and receiving my order fast not like most restaurants where you have to sit for almost a hour to get your food ordered. Highly recommend coming here oh yeah and the food is magnificent seasoned to perfection !!!!
I've been to the first location a few years ago and I really wasn't impressed. I love this new location, really nice and open. The food was so much better! The staff was friendlier and made sure we were ok several times. I had a shrimp pistolette which didn't come out like I expected..the fried version. But still very good, I'd definitely buy it again. I ordered the fried fish with crawfish etuoffee on top with corn maq choux, which is what I really wanted. Both exceeded my expectations the corn was very good taste homemade like out of my grannies kitchen! Loved it...will be back to try other dishes!
Very packed on a Saturday afternoon, so be mindful of that. Every table has a sign for a street in New Orleans, which I found to be cute. We had the Big Easy and the Creole Pasta. Deeeelish! Tastes just like New Orleans, which I can say since we were there a few weeks ago. This will be my go to spot for catfish, creole, and cajun cravings. Only complaint is the sweet tea didn't do it for me.
Delicious food, great service! I got the comfort trio that comes with gumbo, etoufee and red beans and rice. *chefs kiss* I only took off a point for atmosphere because we went on a very rare cold day in Houston, and it got cold every time the door opened. Other than that, I'd say 5. They had good music playing. Seems like they treat their employees well, it was the bartender's birthday, and they gave her a cake at closing. I thought that was sweet.
This place is amazing every time we come. The spinach dip is by far the best dip I have ever had. So creamy and rich and served with thick soft pita like chips. The grits And shrimp are my go to and the fish basket is top notch as well. Sometimes they have live music which adds a good vibe to the atmosphere. One of our favorite places to eat around the area!
I have to say visiting Riatn Cajun Cafe’ he food was excellent, the service outstanding, and the atmosphere absolutely perfect. The owner personally came to our table and, even though what I wanted wasn’t on the menu, she assured me they would prepare it anyway. That level of hospitality is rare. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, and you can bet I’ll be back the next time I’m in Humble, TX.
Thankfully, the food is on point so I don't have to lie cause they from my home state! Southern hospitality matching the cuisine this is easily a place worth making a detour after work or treating the family out. The appetizers like the boudin balls (THEY MAKE EM HOT & FRESH SO WAIT BEFORE BITING IN) or the pasta plates or etouffe I have yet to be disappointed and seems like they don't plan on it. Get some now and try one of the rotating specials or the wings, my GOD the wings! Such a humble place should brag more because not only is the creole mouth watering but I am willing to tackle a linebacker for a tray of their wings! So yes. This is a great place to go eat.
I was looking for a flavorful Cajun seafood spot so I read thro the reviews where it convinced me to try this place out. I was not disappointed, absolutely delicious!! Food came out hot and delicious. I had their Mac n cheese & shrimp/grits. Any restaurant that masters a good Mac n Cheese you don’t even have to worry about the rest of the menu. I also had the chocolate martini and it was also made to perfection. Definitely would recommend this restaurant
OMG, it was my first time on Sunday and we will definitely be back on Sundays. The vibe and food was so good to the and for the soul. Thanks for making our Sunday Funday a true Funday.
This is my second time here. It was as good as it was the first time. With Covid19 still hanging around, Cafe Rian was working off a modified menu. All of the choice are still wonderful. I ordered all the items below but I also got the Big Easy w/shrimp. Wow this food was awesome. I will be going back again. Cafe Rian was much closer to me. Even if it wasn't, I would still make the trip. The staff was great. They were all polite and helpful. Never left us wondering where our waitress was. The owner even came out and spoke to us. The atmosphere gave you and comfort feel. I recommend Cafe Rian to everyone. They do offer carry out as well.
Café Rian Cajun Restaurant in Humble, Texas is an absolute gem. We had the Oyster Rockefeller and the Smothered Boudin topped with Crawfish Étouffée, and both dishes were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The seasoning was spot on, and the portions were generous. It's easily the best place for boudin in Humble—no question. While everything we ordered was fantastic, I do hope they consider expanding their non-alcoholic beverage options in the future. It would be great to see them carry the Ritual brand to create non-alcoholic martinis and other craft mocktails for guests who don’t drink but still want to enjoy a well-crafted beverage. Overall, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend 👌🏾
Highly Recommended...This is my New favorite stop for lunch..I Have to try the whole menu I enjoyed the Shrimp and Fish Combo PoBoy with Fries.. Fries done perfectly, and definitely among the best I've had in comparison to Cheeckers or similar restaurants they were Seasoned just right in my opinion.. The PoBoy was perfect I wouldn't change anything, personally I would have been ok with a few extra Shrimp but that's just me. Now as for Maya, she was not only georgios but very positive and upbeat for how busy this place seemed. She greeted with a Smile and a great attitude, definitely a great person to be accompanied by. Overall inside seemed small but well placed very clean and organized.. sorry for lack of pictures food was to good to put dwn
Amazing dinner service. The executive chef was making his acquaintance with the customers and answered our questions. Manager provided outstanding support to serving staff. Our server was very attentative. All while they were very busy. Delicious food. We ate boudin balls to start, then ordered the comfort trio, which included gumbo, etouffe, and red beans and rice, and the grilled catfish Ponchartrain. Fantastic flavor and adequate portions without overplating. I hope this plays stays around for a long time!
What an experience. Stopped in during a visit from out of town and I'm so glad I did. My daughter and I both had the Mardi Gras Stuffed Potatoe, it was absolutely delicious. The potato was perfectly cooked, the flavors were amazing, no salt, pepper, or hot sauce needed. Destiny provided us excellent customer service. The environment was nice with a constant flow of guest. I am so glad I took a chance and visited your location.
Wow first time here. And i love the food here. I ordered more that i can eat it was so good. But now and some dinner. And all the people that work here was very nice. Make sure i have everything in need to enjoy my food. And i did. And i was told there is a nothing place like this one i. Summer WOOD.
Greeted by the owner. Really made me feel at home but u know what they say about family. All kidding aside I really enjoyed this spot.Small but quint had the Thursday night game on.very crowded. The service was outstanding. The young lady that waited our table was very nice. The meal was great. Also escorted out by the owner. Really enjoyed myself. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I stopped in at Cafe Rian in Humble and had such a great experience! I sat at the bar Star was my server and ordered the Mardi Gras Potatoes ($22). They were incredible—topped with shrimp, crawfish, spinach, sausage, cheese, and a flavorful creole cream sauce that tied everything together perfectly. The portion was generous and packed with flavor. The service was quick, and everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming. My beer was served ice cold, which was the perfect complement to the dish. This place has such a warm and inviting vibe, and the food quality really stood out. I’ll definitely be returning soon and bringing along family and friends so they can enjoy it too. Highly recommend!
Love a great local place that serves great food from across the state line. The ambiance is light and busy, but the bar and outside patio looks fresh and inviting. The haul: Boudin balls, spicy boudin link, comfort trio, Mardi Gras Potato, Mai Tai, Ménage A Trois, pound cake. Boudin balls and link was fresh to order. The comfort trio was interesting. The gumbo and red beans and rice was fire. The etoufee was a bit buttery, but not bad. Both bar drinks were stronger they I though they were going to be and that was alright by me. The pound cake was dry so should have had it heated up. If you’re in Summerwood area you have to stop by and try this one out.
This was the absolute best food, hands down I've ever had and I'm PICKY. Seriously if your looking for a dish to compare all other food to for the rest of your life this is the place. I had the Mardi Gras potato with chicken. My God. The sauce is LIFE. The boudin balls were Fantastic
The food was really good. Had the smothered boudain, oyster Rockefeller with crayfish , pasta and drink from the bar. Jayla was a good waitress smiled, friendly and helpful. Check them out great food.
The ambiance was great, immediate seating at 445pm. Zyedeco music was on point and the food was exceptional. Just one note for sauce (either thicken it up or give extra french bread for soaking it up. And the French bread was buttered and toasted perfectly. I will be back again. Food prices are reasonable and plenty of food and the drinks are strong. I didn't take any pictures because I was starving and this was my first meal of the day.
This place serves tasty and authentic Cajun cuisine! Lots of flavor and great portions when you order. We got there right before their lunch rush, which was great because this place gets busy real quick! Food aside, you can definitely taste the alcohol in your drinks - I really appreciate that!
I have been here a number of times. The flavor is great, and the service is friendly. The oysters are a favorite. I don’t usually eat them, but theirs are so good!
First time and this place was highly recommended. We were pleasantly greeted and seated in 2 minutes. There was a live performer playing some good tunes on that horn. The place is not huge but cozy and spacious enough not to be uncomfortable. We ordered boudain balls, boudain egg rolls, The Big Easy, and Trio (seafood gumbo, red beans and rice, and shrimp etoufee. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS, hot and fresh and exceptionally good. The boudain balls were so different then most as they were not heavy but so tasty. My date is from Breaux Bridge La, and he is STILL talking about how delicious the food was, he ordered a Mardi Gras baked potato to go, and his review was the same. I can't wait to go back, I've shared on my social media apps and telling everyone I know about this hidden gem of a place. Lastly the staff was EXCEPTIONAL.
A hidden gem in the summer wood subdivision near humble. Authentic Cajun cuisine served fresh plus a full bar and theme music. I found this Cafe years ago.
Tried many local establishments in the Atascocita/Humble area seeking a flavorful gumbo. This is by far the BEST CHOICE. Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else! Every bite was flavorful, the ingredients was plentiful and the serving size was exactly what I was seeking for the price. Quaint place that I am pleased to support and recommend.
This restaurant is a hidden gem that didn’t disappoint. We went for Sunday Funday and their oxtails special with greens and mac n cheese hit the spot. Event though they ran out of collard greens the substitute of the cabbage was still a great side with a little kick and great flavor. We also had the Big Easy which was two catfish fillets with crawfish and shrimp étouffée on top over white rice. No crumbs were left behind on that plate. The star of the show for us was the boudin egg rolls with this fire Cajun sweet and sour sauce. Overall 10/10 we will be back for sure.
Wow. This place changed my life. I thought I was coming in for a casual bite, not a life altering revelation. I ordered the smothered boudain link with crawfish and a small Mac and cheese with crawfish. I cut into the link, get some on my fork, sauce it up nice and saucy and eat it... I saw the face of God. And she's beautiful. By the time I stopped crying because I truly understood the meaning of life, I looked down and realized I'D ONLY TAKEN ONE BITE!! I thought this had to be a mistake, so I took another bite. This time, I flew up in space among the stars. Surprised the heck out of some astronauts too. Then I looked to my left and my heart almost stopped. I FORGOT ABOUT THE MAC AND CHEESE!!! I tell you what, it was so good, I slapped my table so hard the neighbors thought I was knocking at the door! This place is 25 miles away and the only reason I found it is because the government shutdown got my dentist appt cancelled and I figured I might as well get some lunch. I have never been more thankful for the government wasting my time. This restaurant is my new favorite and I will absolutely be back. I have never recommended a place more than this spot
Decided to have lunch here this week. Our server was pleasant and did such a great job with taking care of us. I had red fish over spinach served with signature Cajun sauce and shrimp. The flavors were delicious and presentation beautiful. Also enjoyed the crawfish Mac and cheese spinach Parmesan oysters and beignets.
Me and my fiancé had the best experience this past Sunday we can’t stop talking/thinking about it. We went during a busy time but it was SO worth the wait. We started off with the boudin balls and they were so flavorful and moist! The sauce it comes with makes it even better! We didn’t get a picture because we basically inhaled them. Our mains were also full of flavor and perfectly cooked!! The drinks were well balanced and we can’t wait to try more of the drink menu! The beignets were so fresh and hot one of the best desserts we’ve had! We live in the area and kick ourselves for not coming sooner! If you’re interested GO! The food, service , ambiance! We even got to hear amazing live Jazz music.
Revised review: the first time I came I gave 5 Stars! But unfortunately, I have to edit this review down to a 3. Last time, about 6 months ago, I ordered my boyfriend the Big East and he loved it. Dirty rice, 2 large pieces of catfish, crawfish etoufee, and garlic bread. It was worth the money. But today! Things have change. White rice instead of dirty rice, still two large pieces of catfish topped with etoufee, but no Cajun corn and no garlic bread! $27 should have been what we got before. He is disappointed- I drove to Dallas to bring it to him and he said if we were closer he would have me take it back. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL BIG EASY! The pictures show the old way and the black container is the new way. Great food and service. Will definitely be back. Big Easy, lemon drop, fish and shrimp, boudin balls: delicious! Owner and wife are very nice and inviting as well.
Yummeaux! This right here is like stepping into Nawlins & eating the good Lord’s food from these fine people. Nothing compares to my Mama’s Cajun cooking AND this was just as good as Mama’s! Do yourself a favor and grab yourself a bite and be whisked away to New Orleans. You won’t regret. Can’t wait to try the whole menu!
Food was so delicious. The spicy Crawfish Mac N Cheese was absolutely DELICIOUS!Fish & Shrimp we’re seasoned very well and perfectly fried. Cajun Zing Wings were delicious as well. They are a perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. My only suggestion..The waitress should give the guest a heads up about being charged $0.50, for a rim of sugar or salt around the glass when ordering alcoholic beverages. Let the customer decide if they want to pay the additional $0.50 charge. Other than that no complaints. Would definitely come again!
I had never been to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The restaurant space was cozy and our server was attentive. My group and I ordered appetizers of spinach dip and fries. The chips included with the dip we’re awesome, but the dip itself was a little salty, but it was okay. The fries were wonderful and I could have eaten just those. Our entrees came out in a reasonable amount of time and we’re HOT (which was a very pleasant surprise). This restaurant epitomizes southern comfort (now I need one closer to where I live).😊
Had a really good experience at Cafe Rian! Everyone was really nice! I loved how the place was decorated, the music was on point. We went on a Tuesday night, it wasn’t too busy! We had the Iberia Boudin Balls Spicy Crawfish Mac n Cheese Shrimp N Grits Creole Chicken Pasta Shrimp Basket would come again!

The food was just ok. The server may have been new. One drink didn’t come out until we were ready to pay the bill. The manager brought it and when my daughter said never mind we are done with our food, the manager started drinking it at our table. A little awkward.
Sorry for the delay in this review, but I had to comment. It was an early evening quick stop. We wanted to try this establishment and were really not hungry so we didn’t eat a ton. I was in search of a happy hour special and I was not disappointed with the shrimp. It was a decent experience. The flavors were authentically spicy and rich. The shrimp were incredibly tasty and a definite standout (4 was NOT enough). They were not cheap (even with happy hour prices) and I honestly could have ate 2 dozen! The shrimp were bursting with the perfect blend of seasonings of sweet and spicy. They did accommodate not putting rice in my gumbo. The gumbo was okay but the shrimp were over the moon delicious. 😋 The young lady was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy which added to the overall experience. The drinks were really delicious too. I only gave them 4 stars because I thought the prices were a bit more than I expected (I’m super frugal) so maybe it’s just me 😆
The lunch specials are why I went. Good selection from the menu. Quick service and friendly staff.
First time here! There were so many entrances, so I picked one, walked in, and beelined to the first counter I saw. Being that it was my first time, I wasn’t aware that I was at the wrong counter and the employees behind the counter stared at me like, clearly you’re lost. I was. I felt silly and I wish they had been kind enough to direct me where I should have been to place a to-go order. The hostess spots me and pulls my attention to the front to be seated. I inform her I’m interested in placing a to go order so she walks away to grab me a menu and tells me I need to speak with the bartender. I’m standing awkwardly on the side of the bar because once again I’m not clear on where I should be. So the bartender was kind and asked if I it was my first time. He suggested some popular dishes and told me about some of his favs. I ordered, paid, and sat while my food was prepared. The music was nice and the wait wasn’t very long. I received my food and left the restaurant. I live pretty close so my food was still piping hot when I got home to eat. The little plastic containers my sides were in were so hot to the touch that I couldn’t get to my food. I appreciate having hot/fresh food, but it took a while for me to pry open the container to get to my food. With all of that being said, the food was delicious!! I ordered (forgot the name of the dish) grilled fish/shrimp with white rice and green beans. Very flavorful. I also ordered a cup of crawfish etouffe. It was also pretty good. I will definitely return to try other menu items.
The food, service, and atmosphere were great, and my drink was not bad. Food: (salmon Pontchartrain) presentation and taste, are not too bad, but I wish the sauces were slightly thicker and I tasted cheese in what was supposed to be cheese grits. My friend had Cajan pasta, which I tasted, it too was tasty with a nice cajan kick, but once again, I prefer thicker sauce a little less soupy. The same goes for the crawfish queso appetizer, with the fried flour tortillas, the queso should not be that soupy. Drink: Mardi Gras punch- Perfect!! Service: Perfect, they patiently answer questions and make suggestions. Atmosphere: the outside patio was a nice relaxing area with a good view. Overall I will be back and definitely want to try a couple of other menu items and drinks.
Good service, set at the bar for happy hour. Had a peach Bellini frozen and also a frozen hurricane. The gumbo and boudin egg rolls were really good as well, seasoned. Lemon pepper chicken good, don't like the fact they separate the wing part of the chicken and count that as one, kind of deceiving. The oyster Rockefeller was really different, had more of a spinach dip taste to it along with very spicy jalapeños, which I've never had an oyster Rockefeller like that however, everything was pretty good and I would definitely come back when I'm in humble. The ambience was pretty good as well just a chill, everyday atmosphere.
I was enjoying this spot with a few co-workers who wanted some authentic Cajun food....they didn't disappoint in my opinion. I love their lil happy hour special they have here....them shrimp was delicious 7.5/10 with right amount of heat. I also had the Hennessy crunch wings 👌😛 9.5/10. Now mis Bar tender did it up on my lil happy hour drinks definitely enjoy my liquor 🥃 cheer's hunnie. But stop and give em a go.. I think not one of my co workers had any complaints.
I decided to order the spicy crawfish Mac and cheese and it was good but it wasn’t spicy to me. I also ordered the lunch special which had different options but I chose the cup of gumbo and fried fish and grits. The gumbo was good to say it’s served in a restaurant and the fish and grits needed more seasoning for my liking. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
The food is great but the service is super slow! Be prepared to wait but eat good. They are busy though. Thank you Sierra and crew. The crawfish etoufee, boudain, every dang thang pasta, and crawfish poboy with Cajun fries was delicious! We really enjoyed the live saxophone player too!
You know I’m from Louisiana and it’s tough sometimes to find a restaurant here in Houston that has the Louisiana taste. Came across this hidden Gem🙌🏾 this place met just about all my expectations as far as taste in food. I chose the shrimp and grits, and the sauce was so rich and tasteful. They gave you plenty to eat for the cost. My boyfriend did Louisiana shrimp Poboy and seafood was very fresh. This is a cozy little spot, with great music and good vibes. The only hangup was the alcohol, it was a little bit pricey. With the cost of everything going up I honestly understand. I had a Peach Bellini And it was great, but it was $14👀 nevertheless, I will definitely come back to this place, and recommend this place if you want some Louisiana taste💛

I love the ambiance...the table settings with all the New Orleans street names were the coolest. I had the Mardi Gras Potato with a cup of crawfish etouffee which was pretty good. My daughter's order was messed up as they only gave her half the order of wings without the fries and she didn't get her appetizer. My son had the Bam Bam shrimp appetizer and the shrimp poboy which was good. I give 3 stars because I think there's room for improvement and they can make it. Being from New Orleans myself knowing the flavors of the city, I know they've got potential and I will definitely be back.
Good food, but small portions and slow service. Nice location, and indoor and outdoor dining.
I’ve visited the restaurant on several occasions and the food is always great. However, the service is terrible especially during my visit today. The servers are non attentive and unfriendly. During our experience, the waitress went on break and stated to us that one of the 4 waitresses would wait on us in her absence. That did not occur. Where we were seated, multiple staff members passed us multiple times and did not attend us. This was extremely disappointing. I hope the service can be improved in the future and no else has this experience.
I used to come a lot after Covid but then the prices kept going up and the amount of food started to decrease so I started to come less. I hadn’t come for years until my coworkers suggested to come in December and it was about 12 of us and we had a great time! I came back recently during Happy Hour around 5:37pm. I ordered and after receiving my drink l, I requested a second drink around 5:50 because HH would soon be over at 6. I was told I couldn’t order another drink until I finished the drink I just received and if HH was over by the time I’d finish I have to buy at regular price. I have never heard of these type of rules before and as a patron I’d think they’d want to accommodate their customers but I guess not. I do not like to go spend my money where my service reflects such and I’m not satisfied properly. These types of minute issues that cannot be resolved show what kind of service you will have when you go to spend your hard earned money. I was disappointed
I placed a call in order and expected to wait due to what I ordered. After checking on the status of my order multiple times finally Ms. Kim the manager told me she would check on my order. This wa…
The menu looks to good although not exactly cheap .. we drove from kingwood late last Friday afternoon...\n\nWhen we arrived there was only a couple waiting for their takeaway order ... we waited…
$30 Rian Pontchartrain Catfish was one piece of fish over a plate filled with rice with sauce! No cajun flavor! Even the shrimp and grits was not appealing! The service was better this time, but the food was not!
Poor customer service. I called to place an order and was told they were closed. Since they weren't supposed to be closed I decided to visit in person. THEY WERE NOT CLOSED! I WAS LIED TO. They pretend to close early and lock thier doors. If they're an hr from closing they'll stop taking orders. They'll say there's a "private event" but its not, they won't even do togo orders. People exiting the store was NOT part of a private party(I asked multiple people) they pick and choose which customers to unlock the door for. I sat outside the restaurant and watched as they unlocked the door for certain people and finally when more people started coming they just kept the door unlocked. I feel very discriminated against. You can't place an order online(doesn't work), you can't call(they don't answer) and when you go there, the door is locked. This is why people don't support small businesses. Laziness! I plan on calling Monday morning to inform the manager. DO NOT LIE TO CUSTOMERS PATRONIZING YOU!
So I stopped by Café Rian today cause I was craving a catfish poboy and I knew I could find one here. (Currently here) My waitress took my order and did a great job trying to upsell me. I like that cause that means she knows how to get her numbers up. BUT then I waited and waited for my silverware. Then my drink and I'm currently still awaiting my check. I've watched several people come in and wait....and wait. The table across from me had their food delivered in spurts. Another waited for anyone to approach them for at least 10 minutes. I've got a lady sitting next to me who has yet to get a menu. The food was just ok so I won't be back for this although the sunset view was awesome! I came to enjoy a nice meal and a cocktail since it's Friday and the weather is lovely and I am above the dirt!
I ordered takeout from Cafe Ryan today and was really disappointed. They claim to have a new menu, but the online ordering menu has not been updated, which caused multiple issues with my order. I ordered popcorn shrimp for my toddler and was given regular shrimp with the tails removed. When I called to ask about it, the manager (Kim) insisted that this is popcorn shrimp, which is not true. I’ve ordered popcorn shrimp here several times before, and anyone knows popcorn shrimp are small, round, nugget-like pieces not full shrimp with the tails cut off. On top of that, the Big Easy no longer comes with dirty rice and corn, yet this change is not reflected online, and the price hasn’t changed either. If you’re going to change the menu, it needs to be updated everywhere customers are ordering from. The food was also cold, and instead of acknowledging the issues, the manager insisted on going back and forth with me and dismissed my concerns. Typically Black owned businesses behavior. I used to come here often, but after this experience, I won’t be back.
Too expensive!!!! Paid 30.00 for 1 piece of fish floating in a grease souse with spinach. A extra side would have been great or a side salad; or even a drink. The fish was GOOD. I was looking for a Cajun home to eat from being from Louisiana. Ordered the wings they are good as well. Overall experience I can do without; but if I was to try it again. I would dine in verse take out. My total was around 53.00.
