Double Dave's Pizza

This was my first time ordering DoubleDave’s. My daughter’s school was having a fundraiser and 20% of our order went to them so I thought I would try it out. I ordered two pizzas and a salad online for delivery and the food arrived pretty fast, however, only the pizza arrived. Honestly, I didn’t feel like calling the restaurant to complain that we didn’t get our small salad so we just ate the pizza and said all well. Then I got a text that our salad would be arriving asap and not even 5 min later the delivery driver was at our door apologizing. Now we order food for delivery at least twice a week from various restaurants and we understand things get forgotten, but NEVER have I had a delivery driver actually return to the store to get the item and bring it to us after it was forgotten ESPECIALLY without me even complaining about it. This act alone will bring us back to DoubleDaves in the future because customer service is key. But also the food was spectacular!

The monthly pizza is always so good!!! The birthday pizza is also surprisingly amazing!!!! The staff has always been great both on the phone & in person as well!!

Great place, good prices. Get the Big Dave when you get a Pizza, you'll thank yourself. It's enough to feed at least 5 to 8 people. It's worth the price too, love it.

I walked in place to order I was out within 10 minutes. I ordered the Philly cheese steak stromboli. Absolutely delicious. I thought it would be enough for one it's definitely enough for two. Prices are definitely affordable should stop by. The staff was amazing, polite and very friendly. Shout out to them, I'll definitely be back.

We did not dine in we had delivery. We put very specific instructions in our delivery notes for our resort and the delivery driver was amazing! Did the speed limit found our camper and food was hot and enjoyable.

Very tasty Pizza. I love their sauce and you know a good pizza has to do with good sauce and they have wonderful sauce on their Pizza and plenty of toppings. Love the pizza rolls! Tuesday pizza rolls are cheaper and you can earn points towards free pizza rolls. Ill give the atmosphere a 3 because there's not a lot of room to sit and you'll walk out smelling like pizza. Awesome service, 👌

Pretty quick getting our call in order ready for pick up. Friendly employees. Said hello when I walked in the door. Was confused at first because I walked in and saw this sign up that read "Attention face mask or covering is required upon entry" I was like seriously. Wondering if I had a face mask in my car somewhere. Then the employees turned around and I knew I was all good. Lol My son really likes the pepperoni rolls. My husband and I really enjoyed the deep pan pizzas we ordered. Will go back. Worth trying if you haven't. Good food.

This is good food. The prices are a little high on pies (the pepperoni rolls are cheap and awesome), but it is worth it. The main reason we don't order from them more often is because the delivery is very slow. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars.

Good variety of pizza and sandwich options. I really like the Philly cheesesteak Stromboli. The pepperoni rolls are also outstanding.

Delivery is always hot & fast, but they ALWAYS forget our extra pizza rolls that we use reward points to pay for. They’ve left them off at least 2 orders now, and a note was specifically left on the 2nd order to please not forget our free pizza rolls, but that didn’t work. We’ll continue ordering here because we LOVE the rolls & the kids love the pizza. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Otherwise we love this place!

The only seating is a short bar stretched around a couple walls in a very small lobby. So if you’re coming here to get takeout, no problem, but if you’re coming here to eat, and there’s more than one or two of you, forget it

The pizza is usually good, but only if you pickup, delivery is usually not good as you can tell the pizzas were sitting around a long time before being delivered. The last time I did pick up was quite ridiculous. I placed a pick up order with an estimated time of 30 min. I arrived after only 20 min knowing I may have to wait. After sitting around for another 30 min (50 min after placing the order) I finally see my pizzas go in the oven. All while watching box after box of delivery get piled up waiting. It took over an hour to get the pizzas for pickup. I have worked previously in all rolls of a pizza joint and know it does not take that long, even with a lot of orders. It seems as though they make them as the order comes in instead of prioritizing pick up and deliveries taking into account current delivery load and driver availability, they just pump them all in the oven and let them sit for 30min till the driver gets back. The Hutto location is pickup/delivery only. There were at one point 10 employees in the kitchen (2 were drivers), yet they still were struggling to make pizzas.

The deep dish was very good, but for 18 bucks it better be. The kitchen was very dirty with soiled towels wadded up on the floor at the base of the stations, food, and sauce on the floor everywhere I could see from the front desk. The walk in order must be pretty rare and a majority of the orders are delivery I'm guessing.

I've only tried their pizza rolls, which were alright, so I can't really give more or less stars without trying more food. The service was fast and friendly though. Only complaint inhaled about pizza rolls is that the stuffing was a bit scant and I think they would benefit from adding marinara sauce inside.

The food was delicious, always enjoy the pepperoni rolls. Tried the bbq chicken deep dish pizza for the first time and it didn't disappoint us either. The service, however, was disappointing. I waited 10 minutes before a worker even acknowledged my presence. There were at least 8 people behind the counter and it appeared very chaotic. Ordering online was a very simple process. I'm going to hope my second visit is much better than my first.

Food is always great, just took over an hour to get it delivered. Plus the pizza is now getting more expensive.

I love double Dave’s and I order from here frequently. Tonight, it took over an hour for my order to arrive. Also, the Stromboli that we received looked cooked but felt really doughy and squishy on the inside, even though I ordered it “well done.” Hoping we have a better experience in the future.

To put it simply over priced, mediocre quality of food as well as portions, long wait, lack of a sense of urgency from the staff once issues were brought to their attention. To dive into it a bit more yesterday the Hutto location was not too busy order wise. From my observation they had about 8 orders and 7 employees with two of those being drivers. I placed an online order and showed up 30 minutes after I got the email saying my meal is being worked on, which I'd like to do add of you do an on line order there is no way to know when your food will be ready other than calling. I showed up and nothing had been started. Then instead of putting a rush on it the lady making the pizza weighed out each ingredient. Are you kidding me? Between the extra time and cross contamination I was annoyed. It took them an additional 20 minutes from my time of arrival to "finish" making my meal. Then I noticed they forgot to make the second salad. 55 minutes from the time the "started working on my order" for a medium pizza with two toppings, two orders of wings (total of 16 wings) and two salads. A total of 69 minutes (1 hour 10 minutes) form the time I placed the order on a relatively slow night for a pizza joint. The quality of the food is not worth the price ($50 no to mention this was to pick it up my self with all the inconveniences for such a small amount of food). The bacon is great, the wings were mediocre because they are extremely stingy with sauce on them, do yourself a favor and buy the $0.75 side of sauce, and the salads were pretty good due to the side of chicken being generous. I could have had my pizza quicker, delivered, and same quality from Papa John's or Pizza Hut for less money. Extremely disappointing experience. Unlikely they will get a second chance.

I ordered one of the daily specials on a Thursday and an order of wings for my family of 4. Although the food tasted good, I believe that it was not either cooked or handled properly. My husband and I have been up all night with bad stomach pain and diarrhea. I hate to be explicit in my description but I feel like people should know about this. My husband is still feeling sick. I will not order here ever again!

We ordered delivery from here last night and it took an hour and a half to arrive. I called the store to inquire about the order and was told the drive had left the store 45 minutes ago and should arrive at any moment. The rolls arrived barely warm and the salad was open and seemed to be missing part of it. When I called the store the person that said they were the manager didn’t seem to care about the complaint or problems.

I gave up on this location long ago, but my wife continued to order from here because of the pizza rolls. Our last delivery order was almost 2 hour overdue so we called the store and were informed it just left the store. My wife expressed concern about the order being cold, but we were assured it would be hot. It showed up 30 minutes later and was cold. Not just got cold, but the cheese was hard like the order was lost somewhere for a couple hours. My wife contacted corporate via the website, but never heard back. She's finally onboard with my Double Dave's boycott.

Ordered a Buffalo Chicken pizza with extra sauce because we really like the sauce on it. It came to us with virtually no sauce. Call the store, one of the drivers answers and is very understanding. I ask if they can run some over in a container when someone goes on a delivery. He goes an extra step and says that he'll just run right over with some. Wait a little bit, get a call from the GM. He says that he made the pizza and it was "to spec". That he's sorry if we received more sauce in the past. Starts talking about how they are "tightening the screws" at this location now and that we should be buying extra sauce. So apparently we are supposed to magically know exactly how much sauce they are supposed to put on the pizza and pay for extra on the side for them to add at the store for us if we don't think it's enough to even taste.

This place SUUUUUUUCKS. I ordered my pizza at 6:59 and it said it would be delivered by 7:44. Well 8:20 comes by and I call the restaurant to check the status and the young lady who answered couldn't have been more useless. When she was checking on my order I could hear her talking to another employee and asking "does this mean it has left the restaurant yet? And the other employee says "I don't know" and she immediately hops back on the phone with me and says "were showing it is out for delivery" and I confirmed that it had already left the restaurant and she lied and said it had. Well at 8:47 I get a text update saying my order was ready and that it was FINALLY leaving the restaurant. So this means the girl had lied to me, and the real answer was they hadn't even made my order and that when I called is when they decided to do their job. The order finally arrived at 9pm, and the delivery driver knocked and ran, likely so he wouldn't have to get roasted by angry customers. There is better pizza places out there, give them your hard earned money, not a place that will disrespect you and your time.

We have ordered a lot from DD in the past & only had a couple bad experiences. Tonight was the worst. It's been nearly an hour & a half since we ordered & over 30 minutes since the email saying it was out for delivery. Had to cancel the order & figure out something else for dinner. Definitely not happy.

Ordered at 6:41 and it's now 8:20 an still no pizza. This is the 2nd time we hag issues with Double Dave's. The 1st time was a couple of months ago when it took them 3 attempts to get our order correct. We also promised a $100 credit on our account which we never received.

Terrible! Just had it for the first time. Cheap cheese that didn’t even melt. I had “the works” and my son had a small pepperoni pie. Just terrible! My sons pepperoni had a really weird smell to it as well.

Their prices are absolutely ridiculous. $12 for a child's size pizza that wouldn't even fill up a kid. I could go pretty much anywhere else in Hutto or Austin area to get a decent pizza and spend way less. Their specials are ok, but they seriously upcharge you for everything.
