Always peaceful, yummy food and friendly staff.
Just a cup of coffee, a pleasant talk with a friend. Good choice!
very nostalgic atmosphere. the croissants are delicious they have almonds on top of them. very good place very clean and it smells delicious every time I go in there keep up the great work thank you
We always love this place. Have been coming to La Madeleine for years. The only time we ever had an issue was recently and management was very swift is resolving the issue. I appreciated the professionalism and demeanor of the manager and will always continue to enjoy the food and amazing bakery items here. Highly recommended.
The manager, catering team and delivery driver went above and beyond! I enjoy their food but was honestly impressed by the amazing customer service by all the personnel I encountered. Wish I had gotten their names!
I ordered through Uber Eats and there was an issue with the delivery. Jackie, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure I received what I ordered. It was my first time ordering from this place, and thanks to her exceptional service, I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.
They have renovated the inside so it's lost its old French tavern charm.
I am there 7 days a week for breakfast.. friendly staff, clean and great people and service
Not quite as much the country French Bistro experience; they have recently remodeled and took some of that away...
Come in for a late dinner five minutes before close, the gentleman at the front door was super friendly and welcoming. I didn’t have a chance to get his name. We chit chat for a bit but feel very long. This is what I expect after a long day at work. Have been to their other location but I might start coming here more often. He also mentioned that the company are considering to do a remodel at this location. Can’t wait to see what it turns out. Super satisfied. Best of luck in business.
The service was excellent in this store around Katy area
Although a franchise restaurant, the ambiance, service, and selection is nothing like the usual. You'll find a selection of tasteful salads, soups, culinary sandwiches, and pasta that is amazing. Dessert? Viennes, pastries, and a multitude of gourmet items like tarts that are fresh and available daily. This place is for groups (private room available with a movie screen), family, and couples. You will find this restaurant a place worth experiencing and revisiting.
Very nice restaurant. Great place for pastries and coffee. Good lunch options.
Haven’t been here in years. I was so impressed by their staff at how nice and helpful they were. They even went out of their way to make more mango tea after it had run out and brought it to our table when it was ready. They were all so friendly and felt like they enjoy working there. Just overall nice experience. I definitely plan on going back again.
Incredible French toast. Great free bread. Great coffee. Omelettes are amazing! And the croissants are so soft and moist.
La Madeleine never fails. The food is excellent, specially the "Green Beans Almondine". The employees are the best asset the Restaurant can have. They can work under a lot of pressure"
The reason I love coming here is there’s really no other place like it that I know of. There’s food choices inspired by French cuisine, VERY good coffee, and great desserts. The chicken salad croissant sandwich is an awesome lunch choice, and of course you can’t go wrong with their renowned tomato bisque. Add a cozy, inviting atmosphere to all of that and what you get is a really good restaurant experience.
Cute place to have coffee, pastries, or lunch. Here around 5pm on a Friday, not too busy. Friendly service. Got the Crème brûlée and plain croissant, both were fresh and perfect to the palate. Nice that they have utensils all wrapped up for CoVid. The bar has different flavors of berries jams. Nice and quiet environment. Reasonable price. Yes will come back again.
Ordered to go for a coworker and I through their online ordering and was very easy. I ordered the chicken riviera sandwich and it was very delicious and not too heavy. Coworker ordered creamy pesto pasta with chicken. Also ordered the crème brûlée which was very yummy! Highly recommend.
This spot is classic. Love their Chicken Friand and they'll make a fresh baguette for me if there are none in the case. Can't beat that kind of customer service.
The mushroom and Swiss cheese crepe was exceptional and the service was very friendly. Will definitely be back!
We eat here once or twice a week - one of our favorite places - food is always great and lots of yummy choices. Service is excellent - Balkys makes sure everything runs smoothly in dining room. Managers are always there and so friendly - Jackie and Leony are awesome - they make sure all the customers feel welcome and are happy. It’s a very well run restaurant, Highly recommend!
So we ordered through DoorDash and they made mistakes on our order that we didn’t realize but Miss Jackie The manager on duty was amazing no hassle no questions. She told me that wasn’t on the order for DoorDash, but she still gave us the soup in the bread and everything. I will definitely be recommending this location because their food is amazing and they are staff will always go above and beyond to make sure the customers are happy thank you so much Miss Jackie and the La Madeleine crew
My fav is a trio where you can try any three salads or a soup. Food is great and service is great. I order amazing spinach salad w bacon pecans feta chicken and strawberries to go often and they are prompt. Earn points to get free baked goods like chocolate croissants and linzer cookies!
Great breakfast, always fresh, with hot, flavorful coffee. The service really stands out, GM Patty and the team do an excellent job greeting guests and making sure every order is correct. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in. Consistently a great experience.
Service was great!! Employees greeted me immediately when I came in. My coffee came out really fast, like right after I ordered fast. Would recommend to anyone!
This is our favorite location. We have been eating here for over 16+ years. We have visited several different locations like The Woodlands, Cypress, Houston and Sugarland but this is by far the best. The staff is super friendly and we always get a huge welcome and smile. I have several allergies and they're always very accommodating to my needs. The manager Jacquie is amazing. Love her, she always puts a few minutes aside to give us a personal thank you. Our food is always made fast and so delicious. We've pretty much had all the menu...including the limited items. From crepes, french toast, baked potato soup to their delicious turkey bistro, fresh fruit, quiche and the cafe. We always leave with a sweet treat because the bakery is so yummy! Drooling...My favorites are the lemon tarts and anything chocolate. My hubby loves their chocolate chip cookies. Their last Holiday limited drink the Parisien Hot Chocolate with the Chantilly cream, croissant and strawberry was by far the best experience (I hope they bring it back). The atmosphere is a most, the fireplace is my favorite place to sit at. So cozy with French music playing. We feel at home here. It's like visiting our extended family. This location even has a room you can have parties at. We highly recommend it. Don't wait, stop on by!
It’s a place I visit often. The staff always look happy, and their warm attitude makes even customers like me feel good. The prices are reasonable for dining, and they also offer complimentary bread before the meal. The food is excellent, and the cakes and breads are delicious as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
La Madeleine was such a comforting stop for me. I ordered the chicken pesto pasta, potato soup, and a Caesar salad, and everything tasted so fresh and warm that I felt myself relaxing after the first few bites. The potato soup especially hit the spot, it’s one of those soups that makes you slow down because it’s just that good. The vibe inside was calm and cozy like always, and it felt like the perfect place to take a break and enjoy a meal without rushing. I’d definitely go back for the same combo.
La Madeleine never disappoints! The cozy, French-inspired ambiance makes it the perfect spot for a casual meal or a quiet coffee break. The food is consistently fresh and delicious—whether it’s their savory quiches, hearty soups, or perfectly baked pastries. Their Tomato Basil soup and Chicken Caesar sandwich are personal favorites. The staff is always friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I also love their attention to detail, from the beautifully plated dishes to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a slice of France right here in town. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality food and a relaxing experience!
A Culinary Delight in Every Bite! I recently had the pleasure of dining at La madeleine , and it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. The ambiance is charming, evoking the warmth and sophistication of French culture. From the moment we were seated, the attentive staff made us feel like valued guests. The menu boasted a delightful array of French classics, with American touch each dish prepared with precision and artistry. The flavors were nothing short of spectacular , nice and true experience!

I give la Madeline a 5 star because the manager gave me a new salad after I spilled mine, she also gave me a gift card I thought that was very kind of her, The food was amazing.
Good, reliable-quality food with good service.
Overall positive, good fresh food.
The food was almost great. The problem was way too much sugar in the bakery products, especially the blueberry muffins and the bran muffins. I've been to France many, many times. They do not use this much sugar. Cut back by half, and no one will even notice. The atmosphere was almost great. The problem was that the tables were sticky and slimely. It's like every table gets wiped down by the same wet rag, spreading the sticky slime from table to table. I'm sure that rag gets changed out every week or so, whether it needs it or not. Ask the Sugar Land location how they clean their tables and follow their advice. Also, while you've got them on the phone, tell them to cut way back on the amount of sugar they use in their muffins, too. It's still my favorite breakfast place.
Came for my first time. The food was great and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was flavorful. The bakery section however the team member was rude and unfriendly which turned my experience a little differently. Regardless will still be back.
first time dining at this location but not my first time at LA Madeleine. it's been awhile that I find at a LA Madeleine especially since before the pandemic and this Katy location does a good job cleaning and disinfecting the take after customers leave. good taste great as before, as well as service well they were friendly
If you are looking for some good baked goods, this is a must try place. I love their crème brûlée (they have 4 different types and flavors and all of them were amazing) they have a great staff, who loves baking.
The service has been hit or miss, but the food is consistent and good, when you have a hankerin' for La Madeleine and nothing else will do!
My wife and I enjoy La Mad. We always get the same thing. My go to is the Duet Chicken Parisian with pasta and a cup of tomato basil soup. The chocolate torte is a must.
The food quality is quite good given the price. Ordered quiche Lorraine, Croque Monsieur, potato soup, tomato soup, and chicken La Madeleine and sacher cake. The total price was less than $40. The Sacher cake is commendable. The chocolate was rich. If you asked me to choose between Panera and La Madeleine, I would definitely go for the latter.
I came in for a quick lunch. I went with the pick three of the salad, soup and side...sometimes I don't make the best decision and this plate is proof of combinations gone wrong. While everything tasted great, nothing I chose went together. They should have warned me...suggested something else...not their problem I know. You should always find a place to park here. The reason I went with a four star is because its freezing inside when it should be La Madeleine cozy.
We stop to get some late breakfast on Indigenous People’s Day (Monday) and we were pleasantly surprised to see they have remodeled the entire building. It’s bright & more modern. Even the chairs, tables & menus are new. We love it! I believe management is also new. Everyone was very helpful & friendly. Even the staff cleaning the tables walked around smiling & greeting everyone. I like the update & would certainly consider it for small lunch meetings.
They have changed the way you order and made more inefficient. Food not quite as good as earlier this year.

I really wanted to love their food, but unfortunately, their egg dishes were disappointing. I hated my turkey croissant sandwich; the eggs were smelly. My friend’s omelette was smelly, too. Their croissants are perfect, the chai latte is the best I’ve ever had, the mushroom soup is WOW, but the egg dishes are a big NO
Fine , but not the best La Madeline. Easy on-off from the freeway, but some problems off the bat with broken drink machines and less-than-optimal selection of items. Had better luck at other options.
Used to be a nice place. However, the last 2 times we stopped here to drink some coffee, they gave us chocolate cakes which were far from the nice cakes on their display (see the photo). Do they play soccer with them before serving? Not enjoyable to eat for the price we paid for it. We will try some other place next time.
The French toast was unappetizing. Spinach quiche had no flavor. This place needs to be more clean , I saw a spider web at the window
Food has changed a lot from how it used to be. Cleanliness is definitely questionable. And the service was slow and pretty bad. They messed up our order, even after we confirmed it a few times. Our food also had a piece of ham on it, in the kids' fruit salad. The only highlight of our visit was the coconut cake and chocolate sacher.
Nice place to have snacks. We love their snack and dessert section. They have a nice vegetarian option too. Love the atmosphere. So warm and french like vibe. I wish they would include what ingredients they have to see if they are using any alcohol in it. That is why i rarely come here now. Customer service is very weird. While you think to select what snack or dessert to choose from the cashier has a stone face which has an unwelcoming look. Food is ok. Not anything special.
+Customer service was nice.\n+Loyalty rewards program.\n\n-Limited seating for large groups of 6+\n-Would like to see more menu offerings.
Came in spoke to ladu behind the register noticed she was on the phone and waited patiently roughly 7 minutes passed she was no longer attendiamo the phone another customer came by quickly she responded to them while i was waiting, finally she got to me no apology i placed order for chocolate croissant paid and left when I reached my destination to partake of my croissant it was not like the pittura on the website and seem to be substancially smaller and for the price not worth it don't claim to be French cuisene when it looks like you took the item from starbucks
⭐️⭐️ Good food, but serious health concerns at this location I’ve always enjoyed the food at La Madeleine, but unfortunately, I won’t be dining in again at this location. The moment you walk in, there’s a strong mildew smell, and visible mold on the ceiling makes the environment feel unhealthy and unclean. Out of concern, I brought this to the manager’s attention, but his response was very disappointing. He said upper management hasn’t responded to their requests, so he simply doesn’t care because “it’s out of his hands.” That lack of urgency over potential health risks is unacceptable in a place where people eat. Until this is properly addressed, I would caution anyone against dining in here. I hope upper management takes this seriously—for the safety of both customers and staff.
Today after church we decided to order food for lunch. My husband went inside and made order “to go” I was waiting in a car with 3 months baby. After 15 min my husband asked a worker about the order, she told him to look on the table. There are wasn’t the order with his name. After 20 min I started to walk around parking lot because baby was crying and I already couldn’t calm her down inside. When he went to ask about the order after 25 min they found that on our order is wrong name. It took 30 min!!! We like La Madeline but was very stressful picked up food today. I’ll add picture. My husband’s name is Wesley and he should figure out that Savannah West’s order it for him.
We ordered a to go order for dinner and we spent almost a hundred dollars for four of us. The ham on my Croque monsieur was literally burnt, we also had a french dip that had zero flavor, the au ju tasted like sodium free beef broth straight out of a can. The rest of our food just tasted bland with a lot of bread it wasn't bad but we've been here before and it was nowhere near as bland or bad prior. The only saving grace was the creme brulee that was pretty good, oh and the tomato soup was also good. I was surprised since all the food is not cheap. Overall I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon unfortunately. I used to really like this place. Food quality must have really gone down.
The cashiers must be trainedi to improve costumer service, they are rude and not welcoming at all. The drinks came after we finished our food. Not a pleasant experience at all.
My first question was where is the bread.... Well... You have to ask for it. Guess what you get? Bagged, stale bread. Two pieces to be exact. I miss the old preserves, they now have syrupy weird tasting stuff to put on your stale bread here. Then they changed the points program to where you need to take a photo of your receipt or give a corporation your credit card info. Bring back the old la Madeline's. I used to eat at la Madeleine every weekend but they have taken away what made them special. It's been really sad to watch this company become cold like the rest.
What happened to the ambiance in this place?! Looks like I walked into a garage with fluorescent lighting! 😖 Been coming to LaMadeline restaurants for 30 years. Wonderful Warm Bistro coffee shop turned into a school lunchroom. Sad to see it go 🥺
No one really greeted us when we walked in, didn’t know where to go, and the food took longer than expected to come out. “If you can’t do the little things right you can do the big things right” which was proven. My sandwich was actually very good until I realized they accidentally got chocolate syrup on one end, I thought it was balsamic until I tasted it. Then my wife told me they didn’t put the bacon she ordered in her omelette.
I hadn’t had La Madeleine in a while and was craving their Caesar salad and tomato soup, so I placed a takeout order, even though it’s a 20-minute drive each way (40 minutes total). When we got home and sat down to eat, I realized the Caesar salad was missing its dressing. I called the restaurant, and their only solution was for me to drive all the way back, another 40 minutes roundtrip, for a completely new salad. I ended up eating the original salad with ranch from my fridge, not what I wanted. Since we were hungry and did not want to wait another 40 minutes. Husband went back for the replacement. I told him it was pointless. Mistakes happen, but it only takes a few seconds to double-check an order before handing it off. People are spending their time, gas, and money to support a business, and it’s frustrating when the burden to fix errors falls entirely on the customer. So now I have a soggy replacement salad sitting in my fridge, and I had to eat the original one with ranch from home, not what I paid for or wanted. No offer for a refund, no accountability, just a shrug and more wasted time on my part. It’s not just about a missing dressing, it’s the complete disregard for the customer’s time, gas, and experience. If restaurants want people to keep coming back, they need to treat accuracy and service as a priority, not an afterthought.
The coffee taste like just plain old warm milk, I’m sorry. I love this restaurant but you need to fix this. You would think you would get a decent cup of coffee here but it tastes like there is no coffee in the cappuccino. And this is not the first time it happened. This time I just had to review it. There are too many options available now that people can take their business to get a decent cup of coffee such as Kona coffee etc than to put up with this from Le Madeline
I have not been here in a while - seems the changes made have degraded the resturant. First the ordering for dine in has changed in order to share the checkout with the pastry area - likely to run with less people and it shows - if you go for lunch don't do so after the peak unless you want room temp dried out food - no idea how long the bread had been out but what was once good is now a dried out hard pass - we sure will not hurry back far too many better options in the area.

Please do not eat here, I went in for slices of cake and the person who took my money didn't even change his gloves when getting mt slices of cake, major cross contamination
So today I had to most rude clerk that I believe I have ever endured in any retail situation. I only went to pick up a cake that had been pre-ordered and pre-paid. Cassandra was slumped down behind the counter eating fruit; namely strawberries. She just looked at me; absolutely no words. I said "Hi" and that I was there to pick up a cake. She proceeded to reach into her cup and stuff another strawberry in her mouth. She mumbled something and I said "pardoned me?" She walked even farther away and with her back to me, once again said something that I was not able to hear. I said, "I'm sorry, but I cannot hear you." She then said loudly" I've said it two times. That time she was looking at me. What.a.joke. I believe Cassandra needs to be in a different line of employment. Never again. This is not the first complaint you've had on her, but clearly she's still employed with you. Unfortunate.
This place is robbery now. The prices went up and the portions got smaller. Many many years ago I actually worked at this restaurant (different location) and back then the chicken friand was about $6 and considered an appetizer item. They now sell the exact same chicken friand for $10 and consider it an entrée, even though the size of it is clearly not enough for an actual meal! I really hope that consumers start fighting back against the price gouging. Leave bad reviews or simply boycott it, it’s not worth the money anymore to eat at places like this.
We waited over an hour for our food, only to find out that our order was never even sent to the kitchen. No one checked in with us during that entire time, and it wasn’t until I asked about our food that they realized the mistake. Completely unacceptable service. We left hungry and disappointed. Won’t be coming back. They also have lied about our order saying that it will be out shortly even though they never checked our order.
Where do I start?, …Well, the first impression is …..we don’t like the French, we just work here”, is an ashamed to French Cuisine, just because we are in Texas does not mean it has to be a avocado dish, is Supposed to be a French place, with the French look and the French food, the lady’s who in charge of delivering the food where prey efficient, don’t know what product where use to clean the tables but if you feel the top sticky mean is not clean, the floor is dirty the features are cover on dust, are you saying French people are dirty?, moving on and this is for the owner of the franchise witch are the one to be more affected with this, you are about to face a lawsuit for damages, the vents on the AC system witch is nasty , are about to fall in someone’s head( pic )in general I could be writing here the whole day, wonder what state inspectors need to say about this ?, at the end of the day all I trying to say is this is a close, clean and restore the place, be proud of the French Cuisine by sailing only French Dishes( no avocado), train your employees to smile at all time and at least know about little bit about the products they selling, I came here hungry for breakfast and walk out with a stomach ache.
Love the food but it’s a shame management and staff are incompetent!!!!!!! Was charged twice for the same meal and the associate said it would fall off my credit card but after a week it’s still sitting there pending. I called the manager and she told me that it was my problem and I had to take the time and call the bank to get it removed. SERIOUSLY
I’m sick with the flu and didn’t want to risk exposing anyone, so my mom went to La Madeleine to pick up my food while I stayed on the phone with her. When went back to the counter to ask a simple clarification about whether the soup was a bowl or cup, the manager who took her order snapped at her and even shut down another employee who tried to help saying my mom had already ordered. My mom waited in line once more just to make sure she had the right size (she’s never been here before and didn’t get a receipt yet), and the manager snapped again, talking down to her and saying, “You got what you ordered,” with a really nasty tone. Meanwhile, this same manager continued to openly speak to her staff in a condescending and belittling way. I’ve worked in hospitality for almost 10 years, and this was honestly shocking to hear. There is no reason for a manager to speak to guests or employees like that. This location seriously needs to reevaluate its management. The behavior was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. If this is how leadership behaves, it’s no surprise if customers or staff choose not to come back.
I'm writing to express my strong disappointment regarding the service I encountered during my recent food purchase off the shelf. The "rough" treatment I received felt incredibly unwelcoming and left a very poor impression. Customers deserve to be treated with minimum respect.
Sadly the delicious looking fruit tart was probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. This is not what it used to be. We bought 2 of these for my brother in law’s birthday yesterday and was so disappointed. The crust was as hard as a crust could get and the custard smelled bad and tasted fake with a terrible aftertaste. We didn’t even eat the second one and everyone threw theirs away. I regret spending my money on these.
I came here with my family to eat some Lent friendly food, and we didn’t even end up eating there because of how bad the service was. We had two separate orders because I was going to pay for my own food, but my mom wanted to stay with me in that register because she does not speak English, and I need to help her order. The way the cashier asked my mom to move to the other register was very rude and belittling, and when I explained why she had to stay with me because of the language barrier, she made a face at us. I nicely asked twice if anyone spoke Spanish so that it could be easier, and everyone ignored me, I felt so belittled. I truly believe this was a degrading encounter, and it ruined my mom’s confidence and day. They were not welcoming at all, and I’m very disappointed. Being racist as a customer service worker, and as a minority yourself is beyond my comprehension.
Bright cold white light. Is this a funeral home or interrogation room? Will never step into another La Madeleine. The ambience is so low class with the bright white light. No more cozy and warm bistro ambience. Food was also disappointing. My tea tasted stale. Croissants that came with pesto pasta smelled funky.
I bought a Napoleon pastry from this La Madeleine location on Monday evening, and it was a very disappointing experience. The pastry was not fresh at all — the top layer was hard and rubbery, almost like plastic, and the rest was completely smashed and soggy. It looked and tasted like something that had been left out for too long. I expected a Napoleon to be crispy, light, and creamy, but this one was the opposite. I called the store the next day to explain what happened. The manager told me that if I wanted a refund, I would have to bring the receipt and come back to the location in person. I found that response unhelpful and disappointing. Instead of offering a sincere apology or even a small store credit for the inconvenience, I was asked to make another trip just to get my money back for something that should never have been sold in the first place. It’s very frustrating to buy a dessert at the end of the day and realize they are selling items that should have been thrown away. I hope the management improves their quality control and shows more respect for their customers’ time and experience.
Unfortunately, today's review won't be good. I've been to La Madeleine before, and my previous visits have been very good. I found out from a friend that they had remodeled it, and I decided to come for breakfast. I was served by the manager, Jackie, who took my order at the register, and I truly felt humiliated. She assumed I didn't know why I didn't speak English. Maybe because I look Latina, she shouldn't assume anything. I speak perfect English, so I told her. She continued trying to say a few words in Spanish. What I felt wasn't pleasant. Aside from that bad experience, I ordered my breakfast, and it was cold inside. Of course, I returned it and asked for a refund because I was no longer hungry. As a manager, she should have refunded the entire ticket, but she only returned my food. As a food service worker, I was trained differently. Aside from the apology I received, she should have refunded the entire bill. Based on my experience today, I'm giving it less than one star. That doesn't mean it's always like this, but they should review some things in management.
