We met here for a little family reunion. The food was excellent as was the service. The atmosphere is quaint and it was the perfect place to get together with family and friends.

Been a long time since we had been here and it still has the quirky charm it always has. Everything was great, and the server was super friendly. The only issue was that the hen was super dry but they made it right ASAP, everything else was perfect. Will be going back.
Growing up in Laguna I have been to Dizz’s for dinner and special occasions since the 80’s. Everything from the cocktails to the food to the ambiance is fantastic! I have known Dominic Pitz since we’re in high school and official Vic Beach (literally across the highway from Dizz’s) bums. This last weekend my family went in to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I wish I could have been there but I live on the opposite side of the country. Dominic came out of the kitchen to greet my family and after dinner brought out strawberry cake for the b-day celebration! Dom, you and Dizz’s rock, can’t wait to come in when I’m back in town! If you’re curious about Dizz’s and haven’t been, go, you’ll be happy you did!
The staff was so attentive and kind. The food was absolutely incredible! The veal piccata was on point! The surf and turf was cooked perfectly to order. Every plate was presented like a masterpiece. This place is certainly a hidden gem that you will never forget once you find it!
Best service we've had in a long time. The wait staff at Dizz's is top notch in every regard. When we arrived, we were greeted with a complimentary cocktail and appetizer to get us started, then given first-class treatment through the entire time we spent there. The atmosphere was funky and unique. The food was great. The prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend Dizz's for anyone wanting a fun and unique dining experience with first-class service.
This is my favorite place for a romantic date with my wife. I'm not able to make it here very often, but been coming here since the late 80's. It has a cozy and romantic setting with great food and very friendly service. It has all the benefits of a high end restaurant, such as exceptional food and service, but with a casual comfort feel rather than a pretentious setting.
A very down to earth and homey feeling restaurant. The food was great and the prices very good. The service was exceptional and our waiter was super nice. Our party had three generations (from teens to older adults) and we were all happy and satisfied. We were there for dinner. Thank you for a lovely experience.
Love this place and it’s a great place to enjoy a lingering evening on the patio. Overlooking PCH and the ocean, the staff and food were excellent. It’s been 30 years since my last visit and so glad they are still there. Needs more customers, so give it a try.
Came here for the first time yesterday after driving past it for over a decade. I am in love! So cute and inviting with a fire pit on the patio, heaters and an ocean view. Our server (I think Andres) and assistant Ricardo were attentive and made my birthday special and memorable. Food was great and drinks were perfect. See you guys again soon!
I think a rare gem would best describe my night here. My wife's birthday and I decided to go off the beaten path. From the candlelight by the fireplace to the greenery and ocean views; this place was everything I'd hoped it would be. The evening was magic thanks to the friendly staff, good drinks, ambiance, and most of all the food. The dishes felt prepared and the flavor is there when everywhere else dares to be boring. Try the lamb and scallops. The escagot was such a good start to the evening. 10/10 would go again. Highly recommended.
Great old pub! It’s a must stop anytime in Laguna! The food is great and it’s like stepping back in time. Great outdoor patio as well. Hidden Gem
Walking into this historical restaurant is like discovering a culinary treasure! From the patè to the escargot to the entrees, each described on their own individual menu page, everything is delicious! Worth the drive from San Diego!
Shame they are closing their doors soon. We had the chicken cordon bleu and veal marsala...... excellent! With all the high dining prices at various restaurants these days, I felt this meal was worth it.

We found them right before closing. The server was attentive. The chef made our scallops and beef stroganoff better than any we'd ever had before. Everything about our dining experience was above par. It was a Sunday night.

Great quirky place in Laguna Beach. Great food and service. Pate, onion soup, escargot and veal shank were amazing.

Fun in your parents kind of way or those who like the feel of a 60s/70s kind of way. Everyone gets a small vermouth with lemon peel, pate and toast points when you are seated. This is not a place to be on a diet. The menu was great but not light but I feel they would work with you. Lamb was excellent, chicken Marsala fabulous...nice wine list. I totally enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere of unmatched China, silver, tablecloths and really amazing art on the walls. It was a fun time and our server Derek was excellent!
Cute Restaurant with very friendly service. The portions are huge and tasty so you definitely get fed up. We loved the charming 50 year style interior. The only tiny negative point are the toilettes which are in need of renovation.

Overall, the experience was medicore at best. All the bread up to the warmed sour dough was stale. Some of the menu items didn't make sense (bbq chicken wings at a french restaurant?) and it was really disappointing for such a pricey restaurant to give the menu in 5 parts split amongst the entire party. There seemed to be very few people in the restaurant and service was so slow. I asked for water and I watched the waiter talk to a guy for almost 10 minutes. I sent my partner to get me water from the bar. We stared the waiters down for minutes before they took our orders. In their defense, some of their food was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my raspberry duck, the scallops were buttery and perfectly cooked, and my party members were impressived with the size of the steaks. Definitely American portions of French food. They were also very accomodating in changes to the dishes. The atmosphere was overall nice. The murals were done by a famous painter who died in the early 60's which gives some perspective on the decore. It is definitely quirky, vintage. My qualms were the odd pink lighting that felt minimizing against the hot pink walls, the random flatscreen playing sports outside, and the stink of mildew (reasonable for an old house on the coast). I would not go here again. It was $50 a person for a mediocre experience that could have been much better spent at a better put together restaurant.
Very cozy and homey, with old school finesse and style in both the food and the ambiance. The complimentary vermouths were a welcome surprise, and the cornish hen felt like a blast to the past, like something my grandma would make. Definitely overpriced, but the owner was kind, and overall it was a lovely experience.

I’m not sure how or why this place has gotten worse every time we go, but it has gotten to the point where we won’t be going back. We have done lunch there many times and it’s always a ghost town on weekends, so we end up there to skip the crowds elsewhere. Their food has always been mediocre, but I usually get tacos and she’s fine with a salad. This time we noticed a change in the outdoor seating area and a new menu (with a few misspelled words, which is never a good sign). No more tacos, so I made the mistake of getting the only other thing that sounded good, fish and chips. My wife got a salad as usual. Before the meals arrived we were served 2 nearly flat Cokes with minimal ice. My fish and chips arrived quickly, probably too quickly, and consisted of 3 tiny frozen breaded fish triangles that were barely warm inside and the consistency was “mushy”. I’m guessing they didn’t microwave them long enough. The fries were marginal at best. My wife’s wedge salad showed up nearly 15 minutes later, which I’m guessing was probably the server forgetting that there were patrons at the restaurant. The wedge looked like they threw it together in 5 seconds and flooded the plate with dressing to make it look fancy. The dressing was dripping off the plate on all sides. It wasn’t great! We were never offered water, soda refills or asked how our meal was. Needless to say, after going there for years, the time has come to call it quits.
