Best Applebee's in the area , used to go to the Farmingville one and it was terrible. They messed the food up all the time, but at Lake Grove they always cook our food to perfection and the staff is wonderful.

I have been going to Applesbees for over 20 years. I (and now my husband and daughter) always request to have Gracie as or waitress. She is a wonderful, kind and all around great hospitable person. She is always so friendly and kind to us and everyone around her.

This was probably the best experience I have ever had at any Applebee’s. Our waitress Melanie was very attentive and kind, and Gregg is the most hands on manager I have ever seen. They went above and beyond to attend to our needs, and the food was fantastic. All the food came out fresh and hot. 10 out of 10, come again!

The food was standard for applebees. Our server was not very attentive, nor did he care to provide any good service, yet is a "closer", which means that's the best they have to offer. The manager walks around clueless. What else to expect from an applebees I guess.

Applebee's has stepped up its game the service was terrific we were not rushed at all the drinks were much better than they used to be the food also more improved than the past. Kudos to Applebee's for stepping up their game

Just wanted to share That today was a very busy day at Applebee’s in Lake Grove. I couldn’t believe how fast I got in and out everything prepared the way I ordered it and the manager himself Greg was running around the restaurant backing up his servers and making sure operations went smoothly. I couldn’t possibly go on the rest of my night without giving that man his flowers. Love to see managers hands on and providing excellent customer service, great job Greg!

We took our grandchildren for lunch and our server Hazel was very helpful. She handled our difficult order with a smile and everything was perfect.

I stopped by for happy hour after meeting some friends. 2 drinks and two huge orders of wings only $22 bucks. Amazing deal. Ms.Grace helped me out and she checked for ID WHICH I LOVE. She's making sure there's no underaged drinking and she made me feel young lol. her customer service was phenomenal and her overall spirit and personality top notch. We should get Ms.Grace a raise or let her be i charged if your training department. She treated us like family and that goes a very very very long way.

I have not been to an Applebee’s since 2017 at the Garden City location. I have to say I came only because someone was talking about all the promotions Applebee’s was running such as all you can eat boneless wings five dollar drinks and two for menus. I got the two for $32 bourbon chicken and shrimp, It is just as good as I remembered. Spinach and artichoke dip which was a large portion. Two Oktoberfest beers, dessert and a kids meal. Everything was fresh and tasty and inexpensive for me, compared to other chain restaurants. The menu had plenty of options to choose from. The waitress was also very pleasant and friendly service was great. I am very happy that I visited Applebees I will definitely return!

Our little co-worker get together in lake grove was a good experience. We sat at the bar figuring we didn't want formal. Our daily grind at work, we see ourselves in a different perspective. We went to relax and not feel the pressure of our tasks. Jon was our bartender and he is definitely skilled in his field. We all felt to pay it forward and tip generously. Thank you Jon. In a nutshell our job life takes its toll mentally and physically and suppressing the drawl with some good food great atmosphere and a few laughs is always a win in my opinion !

This was my first time to this location, but the service, food, and accommodations were phenomenal. Crystal was my server. Her service was exemplary. Her kindness, professionalism, attentiveness, and skill were befitting of management quality. The manager John was also very friendly as well. Helping to do everything he could to help maintain an atmosphere of friendliness and cleanliness. I ordered the Neighborhood Loaded Nachos with chicken: some of the best loaded nachos I've had in a long time. Everything was perfect. 5/5 stars, highly recommended. I go out to dinner here often and I have Russell as my waiter and he is amazing. He goes out of his way to make sure we have everything we need and when something is not right he does his best to rectify the issue. HE makes the whole process seamless, easy and quick which is what I look for in a waiter. He is always there to help and does not disappear on his tables which is important

Our family fun night wouldn’t have been complete without our server, Russell. He gave impeccable service and was kind and attentive. He even sent us home with a doggy bag for our dogs Tilly & Roo because we said they love French onion soup. Please seat us again in Russell’s section. I love your fiesta lime chicken. Thank you.

Wow, Veterans had a separated section, & several tables bonded. Great service, treated like royalty & Mgrs gave us discount cards for next visit. The 6 oz sirloin was too small if I was to order it in the future, however; with the potatoes, & cole slaw, it was a huge gesture to give us s free meal altogether! What a great time! Stayed for happy hour, & enjoyed mai tai's.

This bar is like none other! If you’re lucky enough to come to this location while Brenda is bartending, you’re in for a treat. First of all, she is beautiful and on top of that she is the kindest and most welcoming person I’ve ever met. I know this sounds crazy but if you visit the bar and are blessed to be served by Brenda, you will know what I mean. She makes me feel like the most important person ever with her sparking eyes and smile that’s like a ray of sunshine in this weary world. Her drinks are top tier and you can just tell that she is highly intelligent. Stop in and say hi to Brenda and order a pina colada’s, her speciality!!!

Went to meet my family for lunch. I ordered a shrimp bowl and soda from the lunch menu. Pleasantly surprised, it was very good. Pico de gallo, guacamole, crisps, rice, greens, and of course shrimp. Very tasty. Staff was also quite attentive, friendly, and prompt. I don’t always patron Applebees, but this visit at the location on Middle Country Road was wonderful.

Great food, nice and quick service, and amazing attention to detail despite it being a busy night. The manager, Mark, checked on me not once but twice as he made his rounds, and even took the time out of his busy schedule to get me a side of sauce and make sure everything was to my liking. John, the manager, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—his kindness, humor, and hilarious dad jokes truly made our night! The staff was incredibly accommodating, letting us switch tables with no hassle, and our food came out lightning-fast. The atmosphere was warm, fun, and inviting. I’m already planning my next visit with my family! 10/10 recommend!

Food good. Service good. But as a former corporate training years ago for the company. Did hit the selling points they had when I worked for the company. Also when I give them a gift card, it will change the tip suggestion on the bottom of the receipt, The server should be tipped on the full amount not included the gift card. Someone should take a look at that.

The happy hour here is great. Half off apps after 10? Classic. Just went here though and they had taken sweet potato fries off the menu! Have no clue why, they were my favorite! Service here is usually pretty good though. Very personable and available wait staff.

Great place tried the berry merry colada, makers mark and coke with a couple steak bowls and a chicken quesadilla. I took home a couple blondies 🤪. Blondie is the ice cream with apple caramel sauce and a bread pudding.

There was no wait at all. We were able to get a table right away. Going on a Sunday during a rainy day probably helped a lot. The food as always was really delicious! I had the Oriental salad and it was fantastic. Staff was friendly and polite. It appeared our server was the only one in our section, so the opportunity for a second drink or coffee was nonexistent. I would blame the management more than the server for this oversight.

Like always, their food is good, but what stood out to me was the bartender/ waiter. He was excellent. It was just him, and he delivered like a champ with no worries and lots of patience. He knew how to talk to each and every one of us, I mean all the customers in the place. I would love to have him be my waiter anytime.

Had a delivery order and it was left at the base of my stairs with no knock on the door and no honking of the horn and no way of knowing it was delivered. 20 minutes outside in 30 degree weather. And this supervisor just ummed and aww'd because apparently Door dash did the delivery and they have no idea who did it. Ridiculous.

Went to dinner on Saturday night with my Wife and Daughter. My food was good. Daughter got a cheeseburger with a green foreign substance in it. WIfe's pasta was firm and dry. Waitress was told and she aplogized. Unfortunately, she didn't bring over the Manager or ask if I wanted to see him or her. Everyone's experience will be different. We've had good experiences in the past and will probably try one more time. Sadly, it seems that good customer service is hard to find in many businesses these days.

Food is alright. Service is decent but slow

Overall, a satisfactory experience at this Applebee's location. My family and I went on a Sunday evening and the service was quite good. Everything was quickly prepared and served hot and as ordered. While the kitchen ran out of some items, that faux pas is not the fault of the the server and the management must take the blame for that.

Eek. Food wasn't horrible (for them anyway) the service was. To be fair the waitperson was very apologetic, but despite apologizing over and over again, certain items took forever to come to the table. One was a dessert. A scoop of ice cream and a corner of a brownie. And there was an expectation to pay the bill before all the food arrived. Well I guess it's hard to find waitstaff these days....

The service was good. But I ordered the Chinese chicken salad and it was awful. Got the crispy chicken (not the grilled) and it was so dry and hard I could only eat a few pieces from the middle. And there was hardly any chicken at all. Also there was no lettuce only shredded cabbage. And a few crispy noodles. I eat salads out alot and the only reason we went to Applebee's was because my friend had a gift card. Never again 😒

I ordered boneless wings but no way what I got was wings was more chicken nuggets with ranch sauce was supposed to be dipped in garlic parmesean sauce didn't finish it was very disappointing told manager and he did nothing not even offer a 5 buck coupon waste of money won't be going back anytime soon

Ordered from the two for 22 menu chicken fingers for my granddaughter an a grilled chicken salad for me. My granddaughter loves her chicken fingers but would not eat them, she said they tasted funny, my grilled chicken tasted like shoe leather. The service s....d it seems like everyone new at there jobs. Had to wait 5 minutes to be seated in a place that was 2/3 empty. The chocolate melt down was good but had to wait 10 minutes to get it. My granddaughter is nine so I was not going to get up and leave if I was alone it would have been an other story. It's always been a good place to take the kids. 37$ not well spent.

Somewhat tasteless, highly processed, highly inflammatory fast food alternative. My four-year-old granddaughter loves this place, so we frequent it because of her. Hope her taste buds evolve as she becomes older.

Ahhh, the fond memories of visiting Applebee's. Although it's been about 3 years since my last visit, this brought back memories as to why I stopped going. If it was not for the grandkids visiting, it would've probably never of happened. I don't know where to start. It started out ok, pleasantries....no silverware. No salt and pepper shakers. Unfilled ketchup. Maybe it was when they delivered 2 small plates with 7 dirty forks and 1 knife to pass around the table. Maybe it was the mustard surprise where when I went to pass out the 2 plates to 7 people there was wet mustard sandwiched in between. I didn't mind the football player passing out the food. I did mind the long wait between the end of the meal and the 20 plus minutes to bring out the birthday surprise. What no candle? Food was ok, but no honey mustard until requested for 3 kids meals. Yes, it brought back fond memories. And so they will remain until maybe 3 x 5 years from now when I absentmindedly return for another visit.

Ordered the bourbon steak med and got it well done .Did not bother saying anything since I was hungry by the time we got our dinners. Shortly after my entre' was brought to the table we received the appetizer we ordered which was so backwards. Overall experience was a 3 . May or May not go back there if invited by a friend to go but will not voluntarily go back.

Been meaning to make this review. But a couple of months ago me and gf. Go to this Applebee’s for dinner. We thought it was going to be a good night but then our server Shyla was rude and seemed to rush us with our Order. I may have saw her touching my food not fully sure but it looked like it before they brought it out to us. Then while eating not once did she come up to us.

I went here to dine with my friend I haven’t seen in months. We sat down and asked for the $5 seltzer pint. Server kept trying to upsell us on margaritas and we declined. Did not ID either of us and we were both of age. 10 minutes later, still do not have our drinks and he asked us if we wanted food. We put in a food order and then he walked away. Server comes back 10 minutes later AGAIN with no food or drinks and says “sorry, we can’t serve you alcohol.” I asked why we could not get served alcohol and he stated “my manager said we can’t serve you guys alcohol. When I asked why again I was stared at and not told. I just got off of work at my shop. I didn’t have an alcoholic drink and I was denied alcohol. We asked for the manager to come over and manager Greg came over. Smirked at me and asked how I was doing. I said “good, I’m wondering why I can’t get a drink when I didn’t have 1 drink tonight?” Greg stated “you’ve both had one too many to drink, we cannot serve you.” I said once again, I did not have anything to drink and that I just got off of work after a 13 hour shift. Greg could not give me a reason why we could not be served alcohol. Neither did either of them put in our food order. We were waiting for 30 minutes for nothing. This happened in front of other tables around the bar and I am MORTIFIED! I was publicly embarrassed and manager Greg and staff were extremely unprofessional. I will never be coming back to this Applebees again. I have never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant in my life. If I could give this 0 stars, I would.

Arrived with a group at 11:45pm. Was told by the greeter that it would be a 30 mins wait (conveniently right before they close) and that the Millers down street was open later (tried they closed already.) Almost all the tables on the floor were open and available but seemed like the employee didn't want to seat another group so they could leave. Ended up not being able to get food with my group after a long day work. If you are going there late in the day I highly recommend you do not try here lest you waste your time like we ended up doing. I will no longer be going to this location and will always recommend others don't as well.

Not the best food, I ordered the fire grilled pork chop I've had this before at the Shirley location and loved it but not this time. The taste of my appetizer was off the meat in my nachos was gray in color the chips were stale. My waiter nick was really amazing he tried his best awesome energy he offered different options to try ultimately I ended up leaving hungry and dissatisfied. If I was rating only customer service he gets 5 stars but overall food 1 star.

Terrible! Was seated and waited for a waiter or waitress to take our order and waited over 25 minutes never greeted and not once did anyone come over to ask our order. Meanwhile other people were seated and right away approached! We waited soo long we ended up leaving. Even asked a hostess and no one came over. Definitely will think twice about ever going back there again! Not sure how waiters and and waitresses can serve surrounding tables and not even acknowledge us . Management definitely not doing their jobs!!!

I sat at the bar Thursday night And the bartender seemed like she just didn’t even wanna be there anytime I needed something. I had to ask her stop her. Horrible service not sure who our server was but she was tiny and thin long black hair. Long nails. I believe her name started with a S. Very ghetto looking. She was not nice. She barely spoke to us or came up to us. It was slow but steady no reason she could ask how our food was. Plus when we tried to look for her for the check we saw her she was on her phone instead sitting at the corner high top table in the bar area closest to the kitchen. Smh very disappointed

I would only come to eat here if I was starving. The quality is right next to dumpster level. The staff seems to know the franchises bad rep and is slow and I saw a staff member touching the food while bringing it out. I made sure to leave zero tip and pay. The soup was lukewarm and low quality, the dessert could hardly be eaten with the small spoon given (you had to be there, it was not a dessert spoon), and the entree was low quality. McDonald’s is way better. Anywhere is. Many years ago even my dad said he found a big piece of hair in his entree in the year 2002. Now I see why, as I thought maybe it was a freak accident. It’s a regular thing with Applebees.

I wish there was a way to just rate my server… he was professional courteous and very accommodating…he deserves 5 stars. The food…. I ordered a bourbon street steak dish…. Medium rare… well the center of my steak was raw… that dish comes with onions and mushrooms… sounds petty but I received a dish of onions with 3 mushrooms. We ordered spinach and artichoke appetizer… the chips were completely stale!!! Ketchup bottle was empty… The restaurant was fairly empty as we went after dinner… the hostess was less then friendly and sat us in an area where my visibly injured boyfriend could not get to a rest room without wheeling himself completely around the mostly empty restaurant. She was not a happy friendly neighborhood person!! Could have been sat quicker at a busier place. Very disappointed… Applebee’s has really let us down!!

Seating was easy,my fiancé and I went for dinner on August 2nd after work, we were waiting for more than 30minutes waiters, waitresses walked by our table nobody stopped to take our order worse part was when another couple walked in they got service before us,we were hungry and angry of course so we got up and left went somewhere else. I use to come here for lunch every other day as this was my go to lunch spot I even use to bring my co workers after work and have drinks. I use to like it because it was never crowded during lunch so I can be in and out in less then an hour. I recently went for lunch just like any other day I usually order the same thing each time I go however this last time the bartender tells me that I can no longer order the meal I always get because the manager said so I was alittle confused because I go to another applebees and have no issues anytime I order my meal from there I did not want to turn it into an escalation and disrupt anyone who may have been eating so I left it alone. The manager then comes over and was talking to me with a loud tone of voice as if i did something wrong which I didn't understand because the restaurant is very quiet and not many people were present and just walks away before I can say anything he mentioned to me that yes the button is their for what I order however I have to order it a certain way which is going to cost me more money. So feeling uncomfortable I paid whatever I owed and I didn't order any food and walked out while I was sitting there I hear him having a personal conversation with the bartender and a server about another customer that was present an how they were complaining about the way the food was cooked I will never go back to this location every time I drive past this applebees it's never crowded hmm I wonder whyyy.

Ordered online, received a text with a link to use when I got there. I pulled into a car side to go spot and clicked "I'm here" and the link didn't work. So I called the number on the sign in front of me and pressed option 3 and I get a recoding that I cannot be connected and it hangs up on me. I finally get thru on the order line and these people aren't even in the restaurant! I had to have them call the store to get my order. And of course, when I get home, my buffalo wings have BBQ sauce all over it and the chicken wonton tacos were a soggy mess, but we can eat them with spoons. Really? Not even any napkins. Don't waste your time here.
