yum yum and yum !! we sat outside — food was hot and made to order excellent! portions were large to be honest- i could only finish half and took the rest to go! very nice staff! try it out! I’ll be back for sureee
Pita Paradise is easily one of the best spots in the city for Mediterranean food. The menu has something for everyone, the portions are huge, and the service is top-notch. Located right on Freret Street, it’s a great place to grab a satisfying meal in Uptown New Orleans. Highly recommend checking it out—you won’t be disappointed!
We ordered the Beef and Chicken Shawarma Beef was amazing 10/10 Chicken was very good too but missing a little bit of sauce but still a 7/10 Fries 10/10 Baklava for dessert is a must, so many flavors🤩 we ate so much!! Will be comming back for sure!
We came checked out this newly opened restaurant off of freret st around lunch time, the spot had good amount of people but the service was speedy. The decorations look beautiful and the staff were amazing. I tired a lot of Mediterranean spots around the city and I can confidently say the taste and authenticity of the food is one of the tops I had ever tried. Definitely coming back and telling my colleagues about it. If you love Mediterranean cuisines then GO AND GIVE THIS CUISINE A TRY, YOUR WELCOME!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pita Paradise that left a lasting impression with its vibrant flavors, generous portions, and welcoming ambiance. From the moment the food arrived at our table, it was clear that this place takes pride in both authenticity and quality. The lamb chops were the highlight of the meal—perfectly grilled with a beautiful char, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was rich, juicy, and flavorful, enhanced by the light smokiness from the grill. Accompanying the lamb was a generous serving of yellow rice that was aromatic and fluffy, along with a creamy, smooth hummus topped with olive oil and served with warm flatbread. To end the meal on a sweet note, we had kunafeh, a traditional dessert made of shredded phyllo dough layered with sweet cheese, soaked in syrup, and topped with crushed pistachios. It was warm, gooey, and satisfyingly sweet—an absolutely perfect finish to the meal. I also recommend the Lebanese Tea is super delicious and refreshing, perfect for summer. This place had outside sitting and was super peaceful
So SO happy this place finally opened! The food was so yummy, perfectly seasoned, and still hot by the time we got home. They give you very generous portions (I’ll have leftovers for days—YAY) so it is well worth the price. The staff is also super friendly. Excited to see them grow and will definitely be back soon! I got the chicken shawarma plate, which comes with rice, a salad, and hummus. And I also got fries with what I’m assuming was toum?? I still don’t really know what it was but it was delicous and I’m obsessed. 10/10
Food is priced in accordance with portions and location. We really enjoyed the food. There is room for sitting inside but this design is not a traditional restaurant. The service is great. The employees are patient, friendly and helpful.
Stopped by on a Thursday night a little after 9pm. I got the gyro plate. The salad is lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and green bell peppers. Gyro meat with tzatziki sauce, and hummus, rice and pita ( I skipped the rice and got double hummus). They had bottled water, sprite and coke available. I got my order to go, and thought it was a larger serving especially the salad. I picked out the bell pepper from the salad but every thing was delicious. With tax it was around $22

Hands down the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in years. Everything tasted homemade—from the hummus to the lamb kabobs. The staff treated us like family. I’ll definitely be back
LOVE IT. this is my 1st time visiting Nola & I’ve gone to many restaurants.. This is 100% the best food I’ve had since being here. Greek is my favorite food & I can be a bit picky, but this place knocked it out of the park. Friendly service, homemade/authentic food, & they got it out quick! Very happy to have made this choice :) They even gave us free baklava! Please go here👍🏼

The menu features well-executed Mediterranean dishes, with standout items such as their tender, perfectly seasoned meats and exceptionally smooth hummus. Ingredients are clearly fresh, and the balance of flavors reflects careful preparation. The restaurant maintains a clean, organized environment, and the staff demonstrates professionalism, efficiency, and genuine hospitality. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, service is prompt and reliable. Pita Paradise is an excellent choice for anyone seeking authentic Mediterranean cuisine presented with quality and care. Highly recommended for both casual diners and those looking for a dependable, well-run establishment.
We ordered takeout from Pita Paradise - for four, including our 8-year old son. There was something for everyone and we all really enjoyed our food. The chicken and gyro were perfectly cooked, the hummus had just the right amount of tahini, and the pitas were fresh. My husband has the Adana kebab wrap and it was gone in three minutes! Will definitely order from Pita Paradise again soon, and hopefully to dine in! They have a gorgeous coffee service that I’m excited to use!
One of the best Mediterranean food in the town. Their Lamb Chops are delicious. Trust me. I have had lamb chops in big cities like Houston. When i compare it, it is so good. This was my second time eating from them. No change in the taste.
Super tasty and reasonably priced! I got the falafel as a wrap, fries and the baklava! My falafel was super yummy, the fries were crispy and had good seasoning. My baklava was good, kinda served as a baklava roll rather than a slice. My friend got a meet wrap and also said it was really good! The server was sweet.
One of the best places to have authentic Mediterranean food in New Orleans. Our family really loved having food, even at 9 pm they took our order with gr8 smile that made our experience memorable. Definitely recommend this place, has sitting space outside to enjoy the weather n calm streets.
Excellent and clean restaurant, and the food is delicious. The best shawarma I've ever had, and their service is very nice. Thank you.

The chicken shawarma was so amazing! I’m going back just for that and that side salad. My mother in law got the vegan option and she was in love. She ate all of her hummus and mine lol.

The falafel was delicious, the pita bread was soft and playable and the hummus had a relish out of this world! They have separate cooking areas for the meat. Great for vegetarian as well as carnivores. No cross contamination... The service was excellent
Visited with my friends on 2/17. We placed our orders and waited 55 minutes to get our food. They were not terribly busy and the staff did not seem to care that we had waited for so long. I understand that it was Mardi Gras day so maybe they were understaffed. However, I really enjoyed the food!
The ambience isn’t so bad. Gives the Mediterranean vibes. The restaurant is small and in a good location. I had the chicken shawarma plate….i didn’t care for the rice. The chicken wasn’t so bad. I had to take the left overs home to doctor it up. On a good note, I did enjoy the baklava. Service was good.

Want this place to succeed because the neighborhood needs more variety…. However we got the chicken shawarma and gyro wrap and they were both bland. The dips all tasted the same. Fries were soggy and over seasoned. Best things were the Lebanese ice tea and the falafel plate. Not sure if it was an off day for them but it’s hard to want to spend $50+ on mediocre food.

Went to Pita Paradise tonight with three friends and ordered takeout. For not being busy, the service was slow. Waited one hour for pre-prepared food, and the staff did not apologize or address the inconvenience. The food could easily be replicated using ingredients from the Rouses frozen aisle. Overall, I'd come back if nothing else was open, including Rouses.
I didn't even want to give them one star reasoning because; This is a new place of business and this is New Orleans ... Not only did We NOT get our double order of falafel, which was substituted with FRENCH FRIES & Labneh. Which cost .50cents more. We didn't want fries . No Phone call or notification stating this item was unavailable to be subsituted. This is Mediterranean food, not a traditional franchise like, Mc Donalds. (At least they let you know the fries are cooking). Also, ordered the chicken schwarma It came in a pita bread with no veggies after the option was given for a side with rice salad, hummus. Needless to say, the chicken was dry and wasn't very tasty. Great location. Overall customer service lacks in communication. If you want returning customers , you'd treat them as if you'd wanted to be treated, especially on substituting an item requstedThat's 10.00 an order. Not disappointed. Will not return. 🥵
