As an initial warning, sushi is only on Friday night- Sunday. That out of the way, Kiseki goes a long way to a perfect izakaya experience. The menu is fully featured with ramen, don, soba, curry, katsu, and every other Japanese staples. You won't find extremely specialized flavors here, more of the general version of everything, but they do it all very well. I tried it as a date night, plenty of comfortable seating, quite casual. It really was a great experience. We went on a night where sushi was available and it was some of the best we've had in the bay. We will be back often!
Food.... Amazing! They didn't have Spider-Roll on the menu but went ahead and made it for us anyway...... DELICIOUS! Had previously doordashed from here and had been really happy but now we will go to the restaurant. Servers were very helpful and sushi chef was extremely good! A must visit... if you are in Livermore and looking for Japanese cuisine..... Don't go anywhere else! Sidenote: we watched the owner bring all the fresh seafood.....that made us feel very confident we were eating fresh healthy food.
Took my wife to this restaurant for the first time. Amazing experience with one of the most attentive staff. I enjoyed the education on each dish when it was presented. Price is right and the sashimi was so fresh. The selection of sake is top notch. Look forward to to coming back to try their other dishes!
My husband and I found this place after traveling from Sacramento on business, and we were intrigued by the menu options. So much so that we made it a point to go before we continued on our journey. I will say Kiseki has some of the most authentic Japanese cuisine I've had in quite some time. We have a favorite in the Sacramento area, but Kiseki offered a variety we unfortunatelynotve not experienced yet in Sacramento. We have been to japane on holiday, and Kiseki definitely screams authentic. Every item was carefully crafted and fresh and crisp. All I can say is this is a new favorite, and when we visit Livermore California, we will certainly come again.
Great ramen and my new favorite dish—Khao Soi ( Northern Thailand noodle dish).Service is attentive and super friendly. Update:awesome, super fresh sushi on weekends
I went here with a friend during their soft opening. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, chashu rice, oyster mushroom skewer, bacon wrapped enoki skewer, and vegetable tempura. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the mushroom skewers. I would definitely come back again.
Wow! My husband and I were very impressed. Everything we tried was great. The miso soup was delicious. The edemame came out steaming and perfectly salted. Our food was beautifully plated. Best chicken katsu I’ve ever had! I wasn’t a huge fan of the katsu sauce, but the sweet chili sauce more than made up for it (not spicy, so good). Even their salad dressing was awesome, and I’m the type to usually ignore the salad on my plate. I highly recommend this place based on the food alone, but the service was outstanding as well. We will definitely be eating here again.
Very nice place! We enjoyed the food a lot and the owners are wonderful and a super nice couple. The vegan Ramen was super savory. It had a rich mushroom broth.
Best sushi and Japanese food in town, high quality, fresh, tasty with a sophisticated presentation. Chef and the owner are such wonderful people. Happy that we found this little gem in Livermore. Recommended!

The food here surpassed both mine and my husband’s expectations. Service was very good, and this is a very kid friendly restaurant. They had booster seats, child-specific utensils, and they gave us a little bento box for my baby to eat from, it was soooo cute! I think the restaurant looks basic from the outside so we usually don’t come here, but dang, the food is so darn good. Sushi super fresh, all their fried foods are crispy and delicious without being greasy, and the sauces are bomb. I don’t like tuna but loved even their tuna sashimi. Their purple lemonade was great too. Came for Tri-Valley restaurant week deal but 10/10 would come back even without the discount.

Had a nice dinner at Kiseki while in town for sports with my son. We ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, mixed Tempura, and two sushi rolls (Kiseki Roll and another similar one). There was plenty of food, and overall, it was a good experience. The ramen had great flavor, though the chashu wasn’t the most appetizing. The tempura was a bit on the soggy side, but still tasty. The sushi, however, was excellent—beautifully presented and fresh, with no complaints. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was nice, though surprisingly empty for a Saturday night.
I saw a $12 promotion on a 2-piece bluefin otoro nigiri. I was in the mood for otoro so I decided to visit. I wanted to try more than just otoro. That’s where things got interesting as they had a lot of choices. Normally, abundance of choices does not faze me. This time, I was a little stumped. Ramen, donburi, sushi, yakitori, curry… they got it all. How can a place offer so many different things and still excel. Let’s find out. 4.5/5 Bluefin otoro (tuna belly) - undoubtedly the star of the show as it just melted in my mouth. If I had not ordered so many items, I would have ordered another one. I contemplated… twice, and decided wisely not to order another one. 4/5 Negi hamachi - I love hamachi (yellow tail) so these simple sushi rolls were great. I would have preferred bigger pieces, but I should have ordered hamachi sashimi instead. 3/5 Grilled skewers - the best one was the shrimp. With so much sauce on chicken thigh and shishito peppers, I couldn’t taste the natural flavors of those items. 3.5/5 Curry over rice - Someone had said this was a great value. I agree, at $7, although no meat, the curry had enough flavor. Although the rice was not particularly outstanding, the curry was the star. Oh yeah, they got their beer license so there was draft beer and bottled beer. I would have gotten a draft beer, but I decided I wanted to try more items so I skipped beer. I found out that sushi was new and only offered on weekends. I believe this was only the second weekend that they had sushi. The sushi chef was knowledgeable, friendly and generous. He made me a fruit dessert that was elegant and refreshing. He also informed me that their fish special would change every weekend depending on what they get. I asked if I should call to find out first before coming in for sushi and he agreed. And that’s exactly what I’ll do next time. ——— 5/30/2024 Updated review ——— Saw Kiseki was listed #71 on Yelp’s top 100 ramen in CA. I remember having ramen there years ago, but didn’t remember much. Thus, came back to try again. This time I finally couldn’t resist and ordered the Asahi draft beer. Really difficult for me to pass up draft beer with Japanese food. They just pair so well together. lol My friend and I shared a sashimi bowl. It was beautifully arranged. Good to have avocado slices in there. Oh, and the salmon pieces were on the orange slices which imparted a hint of orange. I thought that was great. Sashimi pieces were fresh - no complaints about this item. I had Black Garlic years ago, but it wasn’t listed on the menu this time. I decided to get Shoyu Ramen with an Onsen Egg (Poached Egg). I really wanted an aji egg (soft boiled egg), but I wanted to try something different. The broth was a bit weak. I was a bit disappointed. I tasted my friend’s shio ramen broth, it had even less flavor. The noodles had a good chewiness to it. The poached egg was a little runny, which was to my liking, but overall, this was probably a 2.5 out of 5. I must say that the sashimi was much better than the ramen. In my previous experience, I greatly enjoyed their sashimi and sushi as well. I would come back for those items, but as ramen snobs, my friend and I would not order ramen there again. Sounds harsh, but that’s our opinion. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 because the service was great, sashimi was enjoyable and they had Japanese draft beer.
I personally love their ramen that is not too oily and not too salty compared to the authentic ramen. 5/5 for spicy miso ramen. Yakitori thigh also yummy. Premium sushi set is slightly over priced. But the fresh wasabi was hidden joy! Also Good service. Definitely come back again.

This place was a great experience. I ordered a Katsu Curry because on the day I visited they weren't serving sushi. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that the curry had a bit too much carrot in it for my liking. Other than that the taste, texture, and presentation were great. The staff here was very friendly and id gladly eat here again! I'd definitely like to try their ramen the next time I go.
We went for lunch with some colleagues to celebrate a work anniversary. When we were ordering, my colleague asked about the veggie udon and the server asked if he wanted chicken broth. I don't think chicken broth is vegetarian. The food came out in way different times. The curry came out in 5 minutes but the sashimi plate took over 25 minutes. The service was not very good and I had to flag the servers down for everything, they didn't come by once on their own to see if we wanted or needed anything. The mixed tempura was good, and the curry seemed like it was from a can. The sashimi was presented nicely, and portions of fish were generous. Not bad, but also not great.
Never been a huge fan of Japanese cuisine but very much enjoyed the beef and rice platter I got. Service seemed a little slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty but otherwise it was a pleasant experience. Very peaceful and the waitress was very nice.

Sushi and side salad were delicious but the service was sub par. Dined there on a weekday evening and it wasn’t busy at all yet it took approximately 10minutes for the server to even come back to our table with waters after we were provided with menus.
Service was good and quick but I’m thinking Livermore, California is not the place to get good ramen. Orenchi in Santa Clara is probably my favorite ramen. I may consider other food here but I’m thinking there are better picks for food in Livermore.

Came on a Thursday afternoon around 12 pm. Got the chicken Karaage curry plate. Did not enjoy the food, tasted store bought, would not come again. Check out the photos. About $20/entree.

Service is a bit slow; they are not prepared to handle larger crowds of customers. We had to wait awhile to even obtain menus and it took 30 minutes to receive an order for two of the simpler rolls. Also, there was definitely some cross contamination going on. I’m allergic to shellfish and I could tell my unagi roll was contaminated since I had a bit of an allergic reaction.
