Definitely the most delicious and authentic pasta I’ve had in London. The spaghetti alle vongole is extraordinary - everything on their menu is specialty pasta from Bologna. The two types of tiramisu are so creative and unique too. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is extremely professional. We had a wonderful time and would certainly visit again.
Wow what an excellent dinner. The place is tiny, you for sure need a reservation. They have cocktails and wine. The focaccia bread was out of this world, hand made pasta. The chef even came out to check how we liked everything and was joking around, you can tell he puts love into everything. The staff was amazing. Plenty of vegetarian options, clear list of allergies on the menu. Perfect spot for date night
Possibly the best Lasagna I’ve ever had last night at Fadiga. It tastes like a great lasagna but the edges are deliberately crispy, giving a lovely texture. The picture doesn’t do it any favours but you can see it’s a different approach to the typical lasagna in a dish or a solid square. Delicious! Had a lovely meal. Snacky starters were good. Lovely wine and good service - they’re clearly passionate about their food and wine - and it shows. Expect Soho prices but it’s not too prohibitive and the taste and quality is worth it.
I've eaten here twice now and this is real authentic Italian cuisine. On both occasions I had the "Spaghetti Neri allo Scoglio" which was full of flavor. Seafood spaghetti cooked in squid ink. Accompanied with a Chianti red wine, this felt like I'd been teleported to Italy. The staff were polite and accommodating. The restaurant itself was very clean and tidy with a very relaxed atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this place for quality dining.
i met a friend for lunch there. it’s my first time there. not difficult to find. we order the clam and salad. it’s really delicious. and the squid ink spaghetti is very good too. very well seasoned. we ordered two different types of tiramisu and it was good. staffs are very friendly. the only problem is that they don’t do cappuccinos anymore. 🥲otherwise, everything is good.
Absolutely loved the owner/waiter; greeted us so kindly and have an excellent wine recommendation. Also loved the food. Focaccia, lasagne al ragu, and champagne tiramisu were our favourites. Squid ink spaghetti was also very good. It was a little expensive but worth it. Menu on Google maps was from three years ago so does not reflect inflation prices. For example, focaccia was £5 but now £7. Sitting at the window to people watch was also very nice!
As two Italians living abroad, we can confidently say that Fadiga is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is elegant and refined, with beautiful and stylish decor. The food is simply fantastic, authentic flavors, perfectly prepared, with attention to every detail. We had meatballs and Polenta with mushrooms as starter, to die for. Then the tortellini with ragù and the tortelloni with pumpkin—both were absolutely delicious. We felt we were in Bologna for a second. To finish, the Tiramisu was an out of this world experience. To make it even better, the chef, Enrico and his wife are absolutely lovely—so warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. You can truly feel the heart they put into everything. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!
We visited Fadiga as a group of four and tried their £30 deal (3 pastas, wine, and dessert). It was an incredible experience! ✅ Amazing Pasta: All three dishes were phenomenal—perfectly balanced in flavor, creaminess, and taste. We chose the meat option, but there’s a vegetarian version available too. Portion sizes were generous. ✅ Excellent Wine: The wine included in the deal was top-notch, usually £10 a glass on its own. ✅ Unforgettable Tiramisu: The tiramisu was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The chef personally explained how it’s made, and you can see his passion and pride in every detail. ✅ Excellent All-Italian Service: The chef and staff were warm, funny, and attentive. The chef’s charismatic, authentically Italian personality made the experience unforgettable. 💡 Things to Note: - Booking time is limited to 1.5 hours due to the restaurant’s small size—totally reasonable. - The deal must be ordered before 6:45 p.m., so plan accordingly. Overall, this place is a true gem in Soho, where restaurants are often overpriced and average. Fadiga offers excellent food, high-quality service, and unbeatable value. Highly recommend!
Lovely Italian restaurant, pasta is delicious, staff are nice. A little bit pricy but tasted good.
Everything was excellent. Really great food and drink. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly.
Amazing food and very friendly chef and staff. Enjoy every moment in the restaurant!! Recommend for everyone love Italian food.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing! The food was so good. I had the lasagne, which was delicious, but you have to try the tiramisu—it's the best! Loved it!
The best Tiramisu I have ever had 👍 The crispy shell complements it perfectly.
This is hands down the best restaurant to eat authentic italian food. The owner is so kind and always cooks something for my dogs anytime we come! Grazie, we love eating at your restaurant!!
I've been wanting to dine here for a while and finally ended up here spontaneously with a friend. It's a lovely small and intimate restaurant, cosy and modern. The menu is just perfect, small and interesting. Enough antipasti to choose from and a pasta choice to die for. We had the vegetarian starter to share, which was delicious and a lasagne and gramigna salsiccia to share. Both YUMMMMY! We had each two small glasses of wine and the bill came up to £130, so it's not cheap but definitely value for money. I, however think the service could improve a little. We had no check backs, I had to ask for another glass of wine, no fresh pepper was offered and only a tiny spoon of parmesan with our pasta. The coffee machine was broken and no grappa or such offered at the end. I would come back but would hope that the service will match the kitchen next time
Food was really nice! Love the black ink seafood spaghetti. Spaghetti was Al Dante and the seafood were fresh as well! Definitely recommend the truffle pasta as well. Nice staff too.
Everyone from the waitress to the owner was so kind and eager to help. They made our dinner a fantastic experience - and that's not even considering the mouth watering food! This place was recommended by a friend and I will surely continue the trend by recommending it to everyone I know 😍
This is possibly the best pasta spot in london, the starters and desserts are also spot on, make sure you don't miss the meatballs, gramigna and their zuppa inglese 10 out of 10
We heard the pasta at Fadiga is super nice, so came over to try out, Tiny but cute restaurant with not so many tables. It was popular (but not super busy) on a Friday afternoon/evening. Ordered both the Ragu and the Squid ink seafood pasta. Pasta are among the top five that I have tried out in the UK. Seafood are especially fresh and tasty, you can feel the”family run” style from the dishes. Tried out a traditional Italian dessert too(forgot about the name but this is in the description). It had many layers therefore was full of flavours. The chef came up and introduced the ingredients in there too. 2 pasta dishes and 1 dessert came to around £51. Hidden, cozy, authentic and delicious. One thing to mention is that their online booking system required us £20pp booking fee upon reservation. It wasn’t explained well if that fee will be deducted from the final bill(it was at the end!), or if we will be charged if we choose to cancel the reservation. Sent an Instagrams message as well as an email request to get it clarified but heard no response. Hope Fadiga can improve on their reservation process.
Thank you for letting us in early. At 5pm we were still having a late lunch, and you were starting dinner. Hospitable, with love for each guest. Great pasta, beautiful presentation. We had a good rest and ate deliciously.
Such authentic Bolognese restaurant. I enjoyed ragu and zuppa inglese. The chef and waiters are very friendly and enjoy the time being there ✨Grazie .
Marco and Chef Enrico make each dish original and special. Thanks 👌
We dined here tonight, had their signature salad, focaccia bread, ravioli and tagliatelle pasta. The staff is amazingly attentive and alert to your wishes. I can’t highly recommend this cosy place enough.
Wow!!! Absolutely delicious.. we went here tonight for dinner after seeing Fadiga on Tik tok and were so so impressed. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff who were attentive and fun, even speaking Italian with us. We went for the tasting plate at £30 which included a glass of wine and dessert. As someone who has spent a lot of time all over Italy i was curious if the food would be as good as shown on Tik Tok and wow... the tasting plate was absolutely delicious, better than pasta I've eaten on Italy. The dept of flavours and texture was 1st class. All 3 of us gobbled up our mains quickly followed by a yummy but not over powering tiramisu for dessert. Can not recommend this place enough. We will be back and it will be very soon. Thank you and keep up the great food and service..
Stopped in while walking soho. It’s very small so easy to miss! Tiny place with warm lovely service and really delicious food! I sat at the bar as I was alone and had the best tomato butter pasta. It sounds basic but it was super rich and flavorful, deep tomato flavor and perfect noodles. The staff chatters in Italian and are super on top of everything. Highly recommend!
Had dinner with friends and we were both enjoyed our pasta. Staffs were really friendly and I loved the pasta she recommended to me. The restaurant only has few tables so better book it before you go.
My white truffle raviolis is just amazing! Tiramisu is not the typical traditional kind you usually get, but I do like this quirky one mixed with champagne! In addition to their service, it’s so laid back and genuine, will come back for sure!
One of the best Italian restaurants in the area! The food is wonderful and very delicious. Nice vibe, lovely staff and great service. I will be definitely going there again
This is really surprising me! Highly recommended for anyone who is interested in pasta and strawberries 🍓🤍 Four of us ordered 3 pasta to share 1 antipasti and 3 desserts 🍨 and they are all very good! The restaurant is not very big and you may seat a bit closer to other’s customers but it is totally fine. People who’s work in there are very friendly and helpful. If you have no idea what you’re going to order I recommend you can ask them and they will willing to introduce to you.
My favorite Italian place in London! We got the truffle pasta and squid ink pasta. Both are very good. The strawberry tiramisu is also very unique. Ambiance is elegant and cute.
6 out of 5 stars, if I only could! I’ve been there tonight and I wasn’t expecting much since I’ve been to Bologna in December and I’ve hit a good chunk of restaurants there. Tagliatelle were truly spectacular, perhaps one of the best ragù sauce I’ve ever had and also the pasta tasted delicious. Tortellini with Parmesan cream were also pretty good, that was the choice of my partner. The taste of the past was delicious and I found the sauce pretty balanced as the cream was not over the top (some restaurants overkill the dish with too much Parmesan). The other surprise was the dessert- zuppa inglese was really flavourful. Tagliere of salumi is always a certainty when it comes to Emilia-Romagna. Lastly, staff is really nice and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more.
If you want to die happy, you must try their passatelli with Parmesan sauce and truffle. Without exaggeration, it’s the best Italian dish I’ve had in the UK in the past 18 years! Every bite was pure comfort and indulgence. My husband ordered the handmade tortellini, and he was just as thrilled perfectly crafted and full of flavor. Sadly, I didn’t manage to take any photos of the desserts, but trust me, they were absolutely worth every single calorie. All homemade, incredibly satisfying, and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
Everything was absolutely excellent. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor—especially the charcuterie selection, which was perfectly balanced and high quality. The atmosphere was warm and stylish, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. Our waiter Marco was so kind and polite and service was attentive, professional, and friendly without being intrusive. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommended .
Sensational food, probably the best pasta I have ever eaten, paired with delicious wines. Still smiling & salivating two days later. Already planning a return visit.
Been last week and we loved the friendly service by Marco and the rest of the team. Would highly recommend, the food was great also. We walked randomly but will be back!
I am really obsessed and impressed with the food quality of Fadiga ristorante . Distingtively awosome food and attentive service by our waiter Marco . Here has Such a lovely and cozy , comfy , also briliant atmosphere . Every time we come here it's really delightful . Highly recommend to everybody ! Thanks to Fadiga team , Keep up the great work .
Very authentic Italian! So rare to find! Absolutely delicious and generous portions! Great atmosphere and friendly service. Also nice that the owner/chef comes out to talk to customers! Highly recommend!
Popped in yesterday after a London walk. We were early so didn’t need booking. Food was amazing I recommend the linguini with truffle my friend enjoyed the squid ink spaghetti with seafood. Lovely Italian white wine. Cute inside with great service.
I've been to Fadiga a few times and it's become a post-theatre favourite for me. On the whole the food is great; the vibe and hospitality are even better. It's a gem as well for my gluten-free friends, as if you ask nicely they'll make gluten free pasta! Highly recommend!
Food was great, especially the squid ink spaghetti, its a MUST. Appertizer was tasty we had the meatballs with cured meat in a cheese sauce. Service-wise, one of the waitress wasn’t too great at it. She take dishes away while hitting my friend’s drinks couple times, even though she kind of apologize the first time but every time she took plates away she still hits my friend's drink which is kind of annoying. She also took away my unfinished drink without asking, until I stopped her from it. She looked at my drink on her hand and said 'oh sorry'really unapologetically. it's actually minor issue however as this restaurant is kind of pricey, we would hope the service should be relative to the price range if this restaurant.
We came here for an evening meal after hearing good things. Fantastic pasta with lots of flavour and satisfying textures. Staff were all friendly and atmosphere felt relaxed and cosy.
Our friend suggested we visit Fadiga based on a recommendation. We received a lovely welcome from the team on arrival. The restaurant is small which we assumed was the reason for us being seated at a table with stools instead of chairs. We asked for and were given chairs. We shared the selection of cheeses with honey - very good. For our friend and I, both the tortellini with traditional ragu bolognese and tortellini with cream of parmigiano were beautifully cooked covered by sauces which were unctuous and simply delicious. My partner said the seafood in his black squid spaghetti was overcooked. Overall, the food was definitely the highlight of our visit.
Authentic regional Italian, good tenerina cake dessert. Pricing is a bit weird: a main course with truffle costs £24, whereas you can get meatballs as starter for £18. Switching to half portions or a tapas menu would be more profitable and ideal to try 2-3 plates per person. Being a popular tiny restaurant, meals won't be long, up to 1 hr; walk-ins accepted but you should make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
I enjoyed the food and I would recommend it. 4 stars because as an Italian I know what I ate is definitely not worth £110 ( one appetiser , 2 pasta and 500ml carafe of wine ), had the price been less extortionate this would be a 5star review. Service does not stand out as it’s inconsistent - some waitresses are pretty nice some are not up for it.
Best tortellini in town! This restaurant is a gem in the heart of Soho. The location is the only downside as the restaurant is split over 2 floors and is pretty small sized. I would recommend moving into a larger place. Also being closed on Mondays is not an issue but Sundays closing is unacceptable. The quality of food is unmatched, I couldn't find a restaurant offering better Italian food than this one, not even places with Michelin Star(s). Wine selection is a bit limited, but ok considering the size of the restaurant. This is a real traditional Italian restaurant, owned and managed by the family, the entire team is Italian and focused on delivering a great experience to customers. Strong recommendation for whoever is looking for a traditional and high quality Italian restaurant. You should definitely try the "Tortellini San Petronio"
We had a lovely evening at Fadiga. Great food, especially the mushroom pasta and the bolognese. However, probably one of the more expensive pasta restaurants we have visited. Around £25 for a pasta dish. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Hit and Miss. We went there with a couple of friends and got a table with high chairs. The chairs were quite uncomfortable. It was pretty hot downstairs and cold ish upstairs. They should get a dehumidifier or something because condensation is bad. Food was hit and miss. We really liked the 2 starters we took, polenta with ragu and meatballs with potatoes in creamy sauce (I really liked this one). I had mushroom pasta and I liked it. It was pretty heavy. I wouldn’t recommend getting a dessert. We didn’t like them at all. We took the tiramisu and another one that is pink and like a sponge cake. Service was lovely.
All the dishes were way too salty—even the salad was salty. I waited an hour and a half for my main course, and the restaurant was only half full at the time. I repeatedly followed up with the waiter and the owner, only to be told that we just had a bad temper and that everyone else was waiting, so why couldn’t we?—which is honestly ridiculous. My friend couldn’t even finish their main course because it was just unbearably salty. I’m never coming back. Extremely disappointing—and on top of that, it’s pricey. The menu prices look okay at first, but once you add the overpriced water and the service charge (for service that made us wait forever and then blamed us), it’s just outrageous. Four of us spent over £160. Each person just had one pasta, plus we shared one salad and one scallop (yes, literally just a single scallop)—and that alone cost us over £160.
One of the most intolerable things, rushing people to check out!!!! My friend and I were seated at 18:15, and at 18:50 we were asked if we could check out in 15 minutes, they had subsequent arrangements. Haven't seen any restaurant that would ask a table of reserved guests to finish their meal within an hour at dinner time. Taste was average, homemade sausage sauce was salty and smelled like pig slop... Sitting in B1, next to the kitchen, the smell of grease is very strong, two tables are very close to each other, you can hear the next table talking clearly, there is no service staff downstairs, so there is no service at all.
Horrible service. We just missed one minute to request the cancellation and were asked for 25 pounds for no show. We apologised thousands times but did not receive any wave. We finally made in half an hour and ordered the pasta. We were waiting for 40minutes for just pasta. And even the black ink pasta we ordered are bloody fishy and cold. It was totally ridiculous experience. Will never come back. Cannot be more terrible.
