Love love love this place, nice little place in Soho, had dinner with friends on a Thursday night, even though we hadn’t booked and they were busy, they managed to get us a table which was great. lovely atmosphere, great service, food was tasty, flavoursome and appetising. Highly recommend and we will definately be going again.
Excellent service Italian restaurant in Soho To celebrate hitting the target, my team decided to have a great Italian lunch and of course with nice wine🎉🍷😍 Little Italy WHAT WE GOT 🥓Artesian Italian Salumi 🦑Deep Fried Squid 🍿Popcorn Cauliflower 🥟Ravioli Spinach & Ricotta 🦐Gamberoni ‘Tony Style’ King Prawn 🥩Tagliata Di Filetto 🐟Branzino Seabass We shared the starters included Salumi, deep fried squid and popcorn cauliflower. Salumi were tasty. Squid was deep fried perfectly with light crispy coating and tender inside. Popcorn cauliflower with spicy dressing was flavourful. All the starters were delizioso😋😋😋 The complimentary bread basket was actually very delicious (sorry that I forgot to take picture😅). After finishing a whole basket, I still wanted more. The lovely staff might read my mind and kindly asked me if I want another one. I didn’t answer but he said ‘I will bring as much as you want’. He was so nice😊😊😊 The most impressive main dish should go to Branzino seabass. Seabass, tomatoes, olives and courgette were wrapped with baking paper. The lovely staff helped to open it skilfully and beautifully. The seabass and vegetables were moist and colourful. My colleague did enjoy it so much. I will definitely try it next time🤤🤤🤤 How’s my Ravioli? See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for details 🤗 The staffs were so friendly and funny. The vibe and foods were excellent with reasonable price. Highly recommend for gathering or dating😁😁😁
A very special Italian restaurant, lovely atmosphere, great service, I wanted a dish not on the menu and they made it for me. Great selection of wines. The Staff we great, Neil the owner bought a round of drinks, utterly charming.
I woke up and just knew I had to have some pasta. Thankfully I stumbled on this excellent place. The service was very attentive. The staff were a delight and very pleasant and the meal was excellent. The portion sizes are substantial. I recommend the Primitivo. I visited again in the evening (Saturday) when the vibe was very different, a late night party atmosphere with DJ until 3 and I was amazed at how hard the staff work. Anthony and Luigi the owners were very friendly and hospitable. I shall return when I am back in London.
Had an enjoyable pre theatre meal there last night. Explained to the waiter we needed to be served quickly as we were a little late getting into London. Drinks soon arrived, the food was freshly cooked and tasty.
Having been going to Bar Italia since 1977 and know Anthony the owner . I took my lady for a quick Pizza and Lasagna. Superp atmosphere and Brilliant service. Great wine list and beer. Highly recommended. Many of my friends eat here including The Soho Hobo Brian a close and dear friend. Derek
Impeccable in every way! We had lasagna 10/10, Carbonara 10/10, Pasta la vodka 10/10, Arancini with truffle 11/10, tiramisu 10/10, cheesecake 8/10. They prepared dinner for us at 10:30 on a Sunday and they were extremely polite and proffesional. The prices were absolutely ok for a place of this scale - our group of 8 people paid 350£ with their service fee included.
Outstanding food and service from Lucy and Meryem at little Italy. A fantastic late night dinner in Soho. Just so happy to find it.
Very tasty takeaway pizza, good dough and quality ingredients used for the Quattro formargi…definitely will be back when in the area.
Very nice and friendly restaurant. I was with my friends have nice lunch and dinner many times. Strongly recommend the seafood. And the latte is amazing. Me and my friends very enjoy the atmosphere as well.
Hey Little Italy, Dined with you as part of the 4 Company Dinner Club and just wanted to say a huge thank you for the fantastic evening! The hosting was spot on, the food was absolutely amazing—every dish a winner—and the service was nothing short of sublime. We all loved the vibe of the venue, and as the night evolved, it was brilliant to have the space to throw some shapes on the dance floor to work off the dinner (which I definitely overindulged in... no regrets!). You've got outstanding taste in music and created such a great atmosphere—it really made the night. Already looking forward to the next visit. Grazie mille! — Ian
It was a wonderful experience! We were warmly welcomed and felt well taken care of at all times. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We can only recommend this place. We honestly don’t understand the negative reviews.
Wow!!! I went to this restaurant with my friends and family after a theatre outing. We all had such a fantastic time. The food, drinks and service were amazing. We all loved the lively atmosphere and great choice of music to which everyone in the whole restaurant was dancing to. A truly memorable experience and a real gem in Soho!
Well what can I say ,its the first time we had been to little italy restaurant in london soho ,its one of the best places i have been for a long time . We went for my sons 41st birthday, there were 8 of us. Food was to die for 👌,staff very friendly, had working couldn't do enough for you, the music was playing all through the meal, After we had eaten the tables were moved and the party began, dancing the night away . We all had the best night out , thank you , we will be back ,that's for defo .
Great atmosphere! Everyone dancing, nice people, attentive staff. The pizza was just like in Italy! We had a great night at Little Italy.
Little Italy is the best place in London for delicious food, an amazing atmosphere, and great music. You can stay all night; after dinner is served, all the tables are pushed aside to create the best dance floor in the city! I can’t thank everyone at Little Italy enough. We are always welcomed with open arms, like coming home to the best party.🥳❤️
Really nice experience, excellent service and v good food. Nice environment and music in the background. Recommend it 100%
So anyone who has left bad reviews hasn't understood the concept—this place serves authentic (chic but authentic) Italian food. It was delicious and the service was perfectly fine. Anyone who knows and is looking for restaurants like this will be super happy but only miss the complimentary limoncello.
My recent visit to Little Italy was an experience worth sharing. The moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere set the tone for a memorable meal. The team greeted guests with genuine friendliness, and throughout the visit their attentiveness made the evening feel effortless and comfortable The food was the true highlight. Little Italy brings classic Italian cooking to life with fresh ingredients and rich, balanced flavors. The pasta dishes were especially impressive—perfectly cooked and paired with sauces that tasted homemade. The pizzas had that ideal crisp-yet-chewy crust, and each topping felt purposeful rather than overwhelming. Even the simpler dishes, like the bruschetta and salads, carried a freshness that stood out What made the experience complete was the hospitality. Staff checked in at just the right moments, offered thoughtful recommendations, and always made sure everything was just as it should be. It’s clear they care about creating a welcoming environment as much as delivering great food Little Italy manages to capture the comfort of traditional Italian dining with the polish of attentive service. It’s a spot I’d gladly return to—and recommend to anyone craving authentic Italian flavors and warm hospitality.
Nice food but their presentation could be better. The decor is outdated but at least they have clean and white linen table cloths. Nice prices for wines, and the staff is friendly but a bit confused when it comes do deliver what was asked. Not just with us but it happened around us too. They just need a bit more attention. I would return to give them another chance.
Lovely place to eat in Soho where this small privately owned Italian serves really top-class food. Sit on the pavement opposite Ronnie Scott’s and soak in the atmosphere. My only gripe - the imposed 12,5% service charge and £1.50 cover charge! For that TJ service needs to be impeccable - and it wasn’t quite there.
I would give this place a give a weak 4, mainly the service was all over the place and confusing . But it's little Italy and you can expect one thing Italian food. Venue in Soho tucked in one the side of the main Street . Location is central, menu had the classic Italian dish and everything looks good, because I was hungry I opted for 4 cheeses pizza. However I felt that they didn't really add the ingredients equally across the pizza .. it was more crust to eat than what I like. My friend ordered a garlic bread and judging by the picture it looks like he had more cheese. The dessert was tiramisu and it was delicouse. Perfect balance of all the ingredients and it was not to soggy wet , flat taste to it. While we were eating lunch a married from the north came and sat to the table next to us. They told us that they've been married for a long time and it was sort of their tradition to come once a month to London. Part of their tradition was coming to little Italy and order the same coffee and sit there while enjoy the Soho buzz. They've been doing this for a over 10 yr.
Should be 5 star… …service was brilliant. House red wine, full of flavour, the tannin and alcohol more prominent- leaving a dry mouth feel. I had the soup of the day. Mushroom, bread was lovely -freshly made. The individual elements of the soup lovely, I really liked the little parsnip crisps on top. One mouthful of this soup was lovely, as I ate on, for my taste, ever so slightly over salted. (Was such a shame). Other than that it was brilliant. Then for mains, I experienced the same pattern, I went for the carbonara. Again all elements of the dish beautifully executed individually! But the rich sauce, was already salty enough and with the punchlines of the Guanciale… …was, I’m afraid too much. I really appreciate the skills the chefs obviously have. But the bill coming to what it did, well… …one would have expect more balance. I still recommend going and see what you make of it! (Maybe make a slightly different choice if you have high blood pressure…)
Food was tasty, all tasted fresh and good quality, we were sat with no booking and managed to get a table outside in the nice weather, would recommend and revisit — Thankyou
The food was very good but they charged 25% of service ….. and we were only 4. I don’t know what it is for but that was very expensive.
Not sure why the rating is currently so low... we eat in town a lot and found the staff pleasant, helpful and attentive. Food was really decent to and plentiful portions. Probably a little on the pricey side, but hey, its Soho, so you kinda know you are going to pay more than you would in the provinces... All in all a really good experience!
Excellent food and professional and accommodating staff. Gets rather noisy. Would recommend for a special occasion. Can be pretty affordable for a west end restaurant, with a very exclusive top end of drinks reaching well into four figures, if that's what you're after.
W tried this spot because it isn't a chain, and looked cute. It was OK, but there's just too much competition in Italian to 'phone it in' with the food. We had the bruschetta, and it was on non-toasted bread?! So much for the textural element! The ponenta sliders aren't as described, bottom line. They are more like tacos, the polenta being the shell. The angel hair pasta was alright but a little gummy, it needed some good doses of EVOO. And the creamed spinach was lukewarm at best when it arrived. One bright spot was our server, I can't remember his name but a lovely man, the most 'mature' one of the staff. He certainly brightened things up! Step up the food guys, we want to support local indy biz :)
Restaurant is quaint and cozy. Also, one of the few that are open for service quite late, like after seeing an evening show in the area. The pizza was very very average. If you are hungry, it does what it needs to. But wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a great pizza.
I can not believe I have paid £5 for a bottle of coke! The whole experience was one of being rushed. Rushed to order, food delivery, tutting when asked for tomato sauce and my goodness the look when I asked for black pepper. Then my son had literally put the last chip in his mouth and our plates were taken away and the bill presented. Not a word was spoken to us. It was like very expensive fast food. Will definitely not be recommending to anyone!
Well really good food but service really was non exsistant was moved from our table because of a forgotten party of 22 arriving which to be fair was fine. But once move was practically ignored by passing waiters untill Beverly duty manager asked us to leave because they wanted our table which ok was again fine as we had finished but to be ignored again for another 15mins waiting for our bill was unacceptable toilets were also unacceptable. Your customer service really needs work 3 stars were basically for your food
The food was average, the staff were lovely and the entertainment was great. It was expensive for what it was but I guess that’s the area for you.
Well, a Thursday night in Soho should be lively, buzzing and fun. Sadly Little Italy does not hit any of these targets. Turning up for a meal with friends, the restaurant was empty and freezing cold...we had to ask for the door to be shut and the air con to be turned off...on a cold wet rainy day. So..being seated..we looked at the menu, the food was a good selection, the wine.. massively overpriced...wine up to £3500 a bottle in a fairly basic restaurant???? How pretentiousness,!!! We chose a selection of starters to share, they were ok, nothing special. The mains...the pasta with langastine was excellent, the lemon sole...over cooked, no side dishes offered or recommended, the staff...not at all confident. An ok evening, but for the price definitely not worth it. Find some where else to go. Don't go here.
PSA- watch out for their 25% service charge! From start to finish this meal was an utter disappointment. I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered a £16 tomato, mozzarella and avocado salad, for the price I thought it would be a fairly substantial meal. However, I was presented with half a tomato, half an avocado, three olives and some soggy mozzarella… that’s it, nothing else on the plate. Among other drinks, we ordered tap water which was refused as “we’ve been instructed to provide only bottled”… after an uncomfortable exchange with the manager we had the bottled water taken off the bill (after I highlighted that it is indeed the law to provide tap water in establishments serving alcohol). The rest of my family’s meals were sub-par and far from value for money, aside from my mother’s who admitted her lasagna was quite good. Finally, as stated in the first line of this review, we were surprised with a 25% service charge on top of our over-priced bill. We have never seen anything like this in all our restaurant experience, especially given the poor standard of service. It seems a classic case of taking advantage of customers and tourists who may not have realised or know any better to question this addition. We will never come here again.
Not worth it! Starters was okay but mains was very bad. Every dish looks good but the taste was bad, was like baby food. Best to cook home than coming here. Overall drinks was highlight good cocktail.
The only good thing about this restaurant is the location which is close to the theatres. The food we got was bland, the rice not fully cooked with too much garlic. The waiter was not really welcoming right from the start. When we didn't order dessert, a waitress made us pay the meal though we hadn't finished our drinks yet! The toilets are not well-kept either.
A little on the pricey side and not an authentic Italian restaurant, ordered a carbonara and what it was served was far from a real carbonara, they add a heavy cheesy sauce in it, so it tasted like Mac and cheese. Servers seemed to be desperate for us to spend.
I had a worst experience the food was not good, the presentation could be better also the price is too high didn’t worth it.
Stumbled across this restaurant after seeing a show, have dietary restrictions and was told everything is cooked to order so diet not a problem. Found staff offish and bit rude Ordered 2 soft drinks and 2 mains, arrived within minutes so my thoughts were that these couldn't have been cooked fresh as much too quick. They kept trying to bring beer to our table but we hadn't ordered any alcohol and we kept sending it back. We didn't have any other food which is just as well as shocked at the price. We asked for the bill and they had added alcohol which we never had and then 15% service charge. Our bill was £80 for 2 soft drinks and 2 pieces of chicken and salad. Would not recommend
Service not good. Servers don't understand english. It was 3 of us. Just 2 mains arrived and we finished it and then finally another meal arrived without even apologising that it will come later until we asked that. They didin't top up out wine and it has done when we had half full glass wine and it wasn't necessarily. We been charged full service and it was just very unpleasant experience. Would never come again. Not very nice view as well as they left orange linen bags next to everyone .
This place is disgusting. No other word for it. I should have listened to my Mother's advice, always check the toilets before you order, because if you don't like the toilets, you won't like the kitchen! Over priced. Disgusting microwaved mess. £32 for a bottle of wine ( vinegar) and condiments from 1975. Ridiculous place. Avoid at all costs!
The worst place in my life! We went to the bar yesterday evening and I can tell you that from the moment we walked in, I regretted it. Prices are high for no reason and cocktails are disgusting, why do I get gin with sparkling salty water as a gin&tonic and it’s also 20€? Overall it was not yet the worst experience, the worker at the bar poured me that drink mentioned above and in a few minutes everything got blurry and my body was not listening to me anymore, thanks to my friend who was next to me and helped me. I will definitely avoid this place, I don’t know what it was, but it’s not worth finding it out.
Food was so bad, they charge 25 percent tip. Biggest tourist trap and French everything in shut ton of oil, for the price u would atleast hope good quality olive oil but it seems to jsut be seed oils. Prices are insanely high and with 25 percent service charge for what? They r not even helpful, understaffed and rude. Forgot our orders several time. Do not come here. Or any of those “italian” restaurants in that street!!!!!
Probably the worst experience i’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our meal was poor however this was dealt with by a lovely member of staff. After we paid, another member of staff - by the name of Tutta? apologies if spelling incorrect - leaned over, asked if we had paid to which we replied yes we were getting ourselves together to go (a table of 5), she then proceeds to tell us to hurry up the table is needed. We had just spent over £150 at the restaurant and were rushed out. The table was booked for two hours, we did not spend that full time and we were with our elderly mother. Never in all my life have i experienced anything of this sort. I’m disgusted with that waitress and what an awful feeling it gave to us.
If I could give no stars, then I would. Visited this restaurant 4 years ago and had the best time, but unfortunately, we had the complete opposite experience this time round. 1 of the girls didn’t have physical iD (was not specified on the booking and you never really need iD for a restaurant). They allowed us in but said she couldn’t drink alcohol and needed to leave by 11pm - which we agreed. We were sat downstairs on our own, segregated from the whole restaurant, the vibes were absolutely DEAD. Before we had even ordered drinks, we were getting watched like hawks by the staff. The girls who had iD ordered alcoholic drinks, and the girl without ordered a lemonade. We ordered a bottle of wine but was bought over 1 glass, which we thought was odd. The front of house lady separately bought over the “lemonade” and placed it in front of the girl with no iD. She sipped the “lemonade” and instantly said that it had alcohol in it - which we all tasted and agreed. The BIG owner came bowling over and said that the girl had been drinking alcohol and we all need to leave. We asked to see the CCTV footage of her drinking the alcoholic drink, but this was refused. This was clearly all a set-up to get us all kicked out, because why wasn’t our bottle of wine bought over, and the “lemonade” was clearly placed in front of her and clearly had alcohol in. It was my friends 25th birthday on a Friday night in London, but they still kicked us to the curb in the pouring rain. Luckily we found an AMAZING restaurant called Tiger Milk - 10/10 service, unreal food and great vibe. Avoid Little Italy if you have heard good things a few years ago, as this is clearly under new management.
Absolutely terrible experience here and would avoid in future. Extremely poor service and inattentive staff from the moment we were seated. The lasagna and everyone’s chips were cold, the bruschetta bread was also not defrosted properly and cold and inedible- this was all politely mentioned to the female manager on nothing was done about it as she never returned. One item from our order never arrived too. To make matters worse, a female waitress then leaned over my friend saying loudly how we needed to vacate the table quickly and she had to clear it quickly- this was before we had finished paying. A terrible experience and so so overpriced for below average food.
We came to Little Italy for my friend’s 25th birthday after having the most amazing time here for her 21st. Back then, she was allowed to drink, no ID was required, and we all had one of the best nights ever. Sadly, this time was the complete opposite — it was a night of hell. When we arrived, we were told ID was required at the door. This was never stated on our booking confirmation or on the website (I checked again afterwards, and it’s nowhere to be found). One of our friends didn’t have her ID with her but showed photographs, and she agreed not to drink — she only ordered a lemonade. Despite booking weeks in advance, once they finally let us in, they sat us downstairs in the basement of the restaurant — completely separate from every other guest. Every other table was upstairs, while we were left isolated on our own. From the moment we sat down, the staff made us feel like we were scum. The waitresses stared at us constantly, stood next to us to watch us, whispering, pointing and treating us like we didn’t belong there. It was disgusting. We ordered a bottle of wine along with other drinks. Instead of bringing the bottle, they served glasses of wine, and when we asked again for the bottle they said they would return with it. Meanwhile, my friend’s “lemonade” was brought over, but it was actually filled with alcohol. The main issue is that she did not order alcohol at all — she asked only for lemonade — and she drank it because it looked like lemonade. Immediately after, staff rushed over accusing her of having alcohol and kicked us out. It honestly felt like a setup. To be treated this way on a special occasion — especially when we’d celebrated here before and been welcomed — was shocking. We left feeling humiliated, judged, and disrespected. What used to be a wonderful place for birthdays and celebrations has now turned into the worst experience we’ve ever had. I would strongly caution anyone thinking of going here.
Food was terrible. No apology..just we will tell the chef.. slow service. Warm glasses..cold .. no apology atall. Absolutely terrible. Even informed them I would leave a poor Google review and they weren't bothered really bad
AVOID AVOID AVOID If I could give -stars I would. Ruined my birthday , came here for my 21st and had an amazing night Came for my 25th and experienced the complete opposite. 1 friend didn’t have physical id despite it not being stated as nessisary for entry on the booking however after being allowed in but told not to drink she only ordered a lemonade. We were seated in the basement away from everyone else so felt immediately isolated whilst the staff also continuously stared at us from the stair well. The main blonde waitress then gave my friend her ‘lemonade’ only for her to take 1 sip and say she thought it had alcohol in it, we also ordered a bottle of wine and several other drinks that never arrived. The incredibly rude waiter that originally let us in then came over and accused us of swapping drinks and my friend drinking alcohol so kicked us out, Even though the drinks was deliberately placed in front of her by staff. It is incredibly lucky she is not allergic to any ingredients in the drink secreted or also not actually underage or there would have been a much greater issue here. Unfortunately after a fantastic first experience will never ever be re attending or recommending to anyone AVOID AVOID AVOID
I was trying to book for the Birthday party , spoke to receptionist Monica, she was so rude, asked my name details, asked me to send the party details. No replies so called back again, again same person so rude. I knew the way she spoke she is not going to book it and received email saying not available. Sounded very racist.
