ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!!!! This venue/show must surely qualify as London's best kept secret. INCREDIBLY good value, outstanding service and a highly entertaining (and risqué- my husband loved it!) cabaret. Artisan pizzas are huge and delicious and every cocktail is as stiff as they can be. No scrimping at all! The perfect celebration for my husband's birthday. A definite must for anybody who appreciates excellent entertainment in the heart of London at a very affordable price.
This was possibly one of the most fun nights I have had for a long time. The club is small and intimate, the compere Michael Twaits and pianist Sarah Rose are excellent. I reserved premier seats near the stage and they didn't disappoint. Reqlly close to everything (circus, fire breathing and burlesque acts). A great evening for those looking for real cabaret, laughs and interaction with the host.
We come to London for exciting weekends. However, Sunday night was always a pending subjet as we had never found an amusiing place to put a nice clousure to previous trips to this amazing city. Last night was our Lucky night. We discovered the Phoenix Arts Club. This place should be a Must for all visitors fancying colour, talent, glamour, bourlesche, comedy and high class entertaiment.... of course nice coctails and wine. Phoenix Arts Club... see you soon!
had a fantastic evening watching Robin and George on stage. A beautiful venue, very friendly team to greet you and happy bar staff. I can't give a review for food because they weren't serving on the evening. It's a cozy venue, but does hold a lot of people. Very old school show biz. I really enjoyed it.
We recently hosted a drinks reception here at The Phoenix Arts Club for Warner Bros. Discovery, just before a screening for our film 'The Sinner', and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The venue itself looked amazing and provided the perfect intimate atmosphere we were hoping for. The team did a brilliant job curating the vibe and music, which perfectly matched the tone of our film. We received so much positive feedback from our guests throughout the evening. The service was truly exceptional. Huge thanks to Katie Twist for being so helpful, accommodating, and responsive during the initial planning stages. On the night, Peter Dunbar and the entire bar/events team were just wonderful – professional, incredibly welcoming to all our guests, and ensured everything ran seamlessly. The bespoke cocktails ('The Sinner' and 'The Saint') were creative, delicious, and definitely went down extremely well! Couldn't recommend The Phoenix Arts Club highly enough for hosting a private event. It's a unique gem of a venue with outstanding, personal service. Thank you Peter, Katie, and all the team for helping make our event such a success! We hope to collaborate again soon.
Updated edit: Manager replied to my email, just want to say here it really was not there fault on things mentioned in original edit. These was not caused by there own actions. Wanted to take the time to defend them after my original review. It's only fair because they are a great team 👍 Edit: Been here twice now, both times the shows was so amazing even for new upcoming acts. If your thinking of going, book now you won't regret it. All in all I recommend this place very much so.
I had a big 40th anniversary showbiz party here and the Phoenix - with its vintage decor and kooky charm - was totally the perfect venue for my 150 guests at a very reasonable price. Katie was a superb organiser, advising and guiding us along the way. Nothing was too much trouble it seemed. The food was excellent and varied (and actually too plentiful!) The door and bar staff were superb, and the venue provided a big barrel of the best pina colada I’ve ever tasted. The Photo Booth was thrown in as a freebie and proved very popular. Thank you Phoenix for a fabulous and memorable night!
This small club offers pretty good entertainment, drinks and food. Recently, it became the home of The League of Improv and we went to see one of their monthly shows, and it was great! No two shows are the same, the performers are really good and the audience gets to participate in the fun with sugestions and banter. We loved this cute club, its central location and what it has to offer.
Such a fun independent cabaret venue in London! I have been there 3 times now and have had really fun nights every time! Michael Twaits the host and Sarah Rose the pianist are absolutely amazing ✨ great night guaranteed, the venue is very cool and the staff very friendly
We had a super fun evening, the service was excellent and the people were very nice friendly. The acts were incredible and ended on such a high note. Sadly couldn't stay for the after show this time but definitely will next time. Would definitely recommend for a fun evening out in London.
I have produced events at the Phoenix Arts Club numerous times, including a Producer's Presentation of a new musical, as well as filming a major concert event. Every experience that I've had at the PAC has been fantastic. Peter, Katie and the entire team work very hard to make sure your production goes swimmingly. The light and sound equipment is first-rate and the entire team work very hard to make you and your guests feel "at home." I can highly recommend attending and/or producing at the PAC. Mark Janicello
First time visit to the Phoenix Arts club. What a great venue. We had a fantastic evening watching the Caberet show with a diverse range of fantasticly entertaining acts. All the staff really friendly and polite. Will definitely be coming back for more shows
Great time. The show was varied and super lively. The host was excellent, really talented with crowd work. Their pianist is an inspiration.Their man on graphics is incredibly talented. The transition into the late show is very fun.
We hired this amazing venue for a small, intimate launch event. It was perfect! The venue has a great atmosphere, and the team were wonderful! Massive shout-out to Katie, who helped me so much with the AV and production of our event. Wonderful, characterful venue - would recommend and use again!
Have been to the variety cabaret show a few times now (Friday and Saturday evenings) and the show has been different but incredible each time! The hosts always do such a good job entertaining and connecting with the crowd and every act brings something unique and jaw dropping! If you stick around they put on a late show which is more intimate but still so much fun! The bar staffs are extremely friendly and the drinks are delicious - would definitely recommend spending the evening here for birthdays, dates or even just for something to do with your mates.
We held our Christmas party at The Phoenix Arts Club and couldn’t have been happier with how everything went! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic and everyone was absolutely over the moon. The atmosphere was brilliant, the venue was beautifully set up, and the entertainment really made the night special. The staff were friendly, professional, and incredibly well organised, making sure everything ran smoothly so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. It was the perfect place for a Christmas celebration and we’ve had nothing but great feedback from everyone who attended. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Phoenix Arts Club!
We had an unforgettable evening! Coming all the way from Switzerland, every moment of the show was a pleasure. The drinks were delicious, and the food was good too. The service staff treated us like family, making us feel truly special and welcomed. Thank you for this incredible experience and the fantastic time we had. The artists were mesmerizing, and I highly recommend trying their cocktails. Additionally, staying after the show was equally delightful, adding to the overall wonderful experience.
Lovely venue cosy atmosphere great staff amazing band 🥂
Lovely customer service. I had some safety concerns when there were riots around the uk and they offered to issue a credit note for me to attend the show another time instead of the ticket going to waste. They were professional and quick to respond. I went there when the riots have calmed down and had an amazing time at the show. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and cannot recommend it enough!
Had an amazing time at the Saturday cabaret Highly recommended
We had a very warm welcome from Megan who showed us to our table. The pizza was ok as were the cocktails. We enjoyed the entertainment and had such a fun night. It was our first time to the club and will definitely recommend to our friends
Great staff. Great venue. Great atmospher. The Pheonix hosted our awards and we had such a great time. It's just so unusual and what makes it extra special are the people running it who are just so chilled and happy. We will be back many times I am sure
Superb venue with an incredibly entertaining show to match! Top work to the hostess on the night and to all the acts and staff. Really seamless performance had by all! Would definitely go again!
We went to see a cabaret show and we had a great time. We had a warm welcome, good seats, lovely drinks and a really fun show. The atmosphere was great and I’d definitely come back again.
Brilliant time at the cabaret show. Michael’s hosting ability on the mic is second to none and how he and Sarah Rose manage to musically combine everything was such fun. Thoroughly good night out.
Peter and his team at The Phoenix Arts Club did a fantastic job hosting an album launch for us. From booking the date right through to closing the door behind us, the service and professionalism of the team was second to none. The club has such a unique feel and atmosphere and the cabaret style seating was perfect for our album launch. Antonio who did our sound was excellent too and we are already planning a return to The Phoenix for another show. Highly recommended.
Anytime we’re in London we make sure to book a cabaret show at The Phoenix, it never disappoints! Great entertainers, proper drag and an amazing atmosphere. Book tickets and go you won’t regret it
Lovely staff, welcoming, friendly and attentive. Excellent atmosphere, all topped up by a spectacular variety show. In short, a wonderful experience, you really should try.
Had an absolutely fantastic night here - friendly, attentive staff and incredible performances: burlesque, sword eating, fire tricks, aerial hoop and singing. Vanity von Glow was brilliant! Will definitely visit again!
I absolutely loved the cabaret show! Such good service and AMAZING performers. The Best in London<3 great athmosphere and LGBTQ+ friendly🩷
We had so much fun! The staff was great, responsive and quick. The show was really entertaining and professional, the lady who sang pre show — brilliant strong voice, all thr other artists did an amazing job. Time flew by so fast! Thank you and good luck to all the Phoenix crew!
We booked the Phoenix to hold a celebration of the life of a dear friend who left us far too soon. It was the perfect venue: friendly and efficient staff who made sure we were well looked after. Most of the guests were visiting the Phoenix for the first time and loved it, so I am sure plenty of them will make return visits. Thank you!
WONDERFUL SHOW! The hostess has amazing presence on keeping the show going. The performances were jaw dropping! Great price on shots, tickets and everything for what we received.
We thoroughly enjoyed The Big Smoke Christmas Variety Show. It was amusing and very entertaining. Food wasn’t available when we were there but the drinks were good value and the staff were friendly. What an amazing experience!
What a great little intimate venue. Fab Soul night with very talented musicians and singer. Only downside...seating a bit squashed. Would go again though.
10/10 night out in London! The performances were great and the vibes were amazing. A huge congratulations to everyone who participated and created this show. The woman in the pre show had an incredible voice. So If you love cabaret, Drag Queens and cheeky songs then please go !!
Yesterday we attended to a Cabaret performance and overall had a great evening — the atmosphere was fantastic, the life singing, the performers were full of energy, and the show itself was wonderful. The music, costumes, and vibe really made for an unforgettable experience. However, we were very disappointed with our seats. We purchased our tickets well in advance and paid for premium seats, but unfortunately ended up with one of the worst views in the venue. It was difficult to see the stage properly, which took away from the experience. It’s a shame, because everything else — from the service to the performance — was excellent. We’d definitely consider returning, but only if the seating arrangements were made fairer and more transparent for those paying extra.
Went to see Tony Bennett music gig today. Really impressed with the performance, layout, service and atmosphere. Two minus points however, it was so cold and place could do with a deep clean. Everything felt sticky! - doors, tables etc. will definitely visit again as the pros absolutely outweigh the cons
The show started 50 minutes later than scheduled and the venue was dated and tacky. The tables were dirty, sticky, mine had few hairs stuck to it. The bathrooms were dirty. Can't say much about the drink selection because they didn't have a selection, and the cocktails were abominable. The show itself was good, (not extraordinary) with a few numbers standing out - the woman on the ropes and the spitting fire guy. Very good if you enjoy musicals but for us it waa too much music to the detriment of entertainment/artistic act.
Nice place with beautiful shows, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering the food. We ordered the “Tortilla Chips,” which turned out to be regular crisps served with industrial guacamole. The “Authentic Neapolitan Pizza” was very disappointing as well, it tasted like a frozen pizza that had simply been reheated. Such a shame, as the venue itself is lovely.
Firstly, the acts are excellent and we loved them. However.m, I booked through Open Table for 10pm. We arrived on time only to be met by a pretty rude women at the door. I showed her my tickets, went downstairs to be met with a very nice girl from the bar. She seemed confused as to why we were there for 10pm as the first show was half way through and the second not commencing for another 45 minutes. She actually said if we wanted to stay for a drink while we waited we would need to buy another ticket. We did stay for the remainder of the fist show and it was great. For the second show the curtain closed and our table was not part of it, so we left. Don’t book through open table as it’s clearly not aligned correctly with the schedule. And while mostly pleasant, no one really gave a shit about a paying customer. The four acts we saw were solid, but the overall experience isn’t worth returning for I feel.
We went on the Saturday Supershow Cabaret. Bar prices were ridiculously high. We ordered the Phoenix cocktail for 5 and paid 75 Pounds. Might be OK, if you get a normal size of a glass, but this was a mini glass and some of them were only half full. After we also saw on the bill that they put on TIP+service charge. The cabaret was not at the same level we are used to, and for what we paid for the tickets, it was not worth it. We had been to other shows in Londen with a much higher standard and cheaper, where we were even willing to pay more for the show because they were extraordinary.
It’s a bit up itself. The Irish bloke behind the bar (perhaps he’s the bar manager, I don’t know) is incredibly rude to customers. I thought he was joking at first, but no. Amazingly hostile. Pity, because it used to be a cool place to go to.
