I don’t say this lightly — this is the best pizza I’ve had in my entire life. And I’ve had pizza everywhere. If you’re anywhere near Long Beach, California, you need to make the drive to Milana’s New York Pizzeria. This isn’t just “good local pizza.” This is authentic New York-style pizza done at the highest level. The crust? Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and foldable on the inside. That classic New York snap when you bite into it. The sauce? Balanced, rich, slightly sweet, and clearly made with quality tomatoes. The cheese? Melted to perfection with that pull that tells you everything you need to know. Every slice tastes like it was made with intention — not rushed, not generic, not commercial. Real flavor. Real quality. Real New York energy. And it’s not just the pizza — the atmosphere feels welcoming, authentic, and old-school in the best way. You can tell this place cares about what they’re putting out. I would absolutely drive across Southern California for this pizza. If you love real New York-style pizza and you’re tired of the chains and watered-down versions, stop what you’re doing and go here. Long Beach is lucky to have this place. 10/10. Five stars. Worth the drive
I tried the Honey Pepperoni Sicilian. The pizza is more of a high end pizza place so youre going to spend about 30 bucks. But the pizza is really tasty. Very crunchy crust and this one had a slight honey sweetness on the crust which was a perfect contrast to the saltiness of the pepperoni. Good amount of cheese and sauce. Would definitely go back.
Amazing sauce made freshly at the restaurant. Great spot for quick bite in downtown Long Beach. For more contents, follow our instagram @gemislist
I’m from Queens, New York! And we take our pizza very seriously. It’s a religion out there and one of our staple food. When I heard about Milana’s and heard the owner is from Brooklyn I had to come check it out. And man let me tell you, it’s one of the best pizzas not only in Long Beach but in LA and OC too. They used fresh ingredients daily and use ricotta cheese and it’s baked to perfection. Do yourself a favor and leave little Cesar’s, Pizza Hut and dominoes alone and come try a taste from New York in the LBC.
Dare I say the best pizza I have had in quite a while. Crisp to perfection. Sauce, beautifully crafted with a light tang partnered with some sweetened tomatoes. Amazing cheese. Ingredients and preparation that shows a passion for the pie. Well done...I will be back!
Best pizza around. Only place I go for a real New York pizza. Great service, friendly staff and great food. I love the New York vibe
Thought this pizza was absolutely delicious. Had the pepperoni and ricotta and margherita squares and enjoyed the taste. I for one enjoyed the extra garlic flavour in the margherita slice! Awesome decor inside and great staff working as well. Will come back next time Im in Long Beach!
New York Pizza by the slice, or pie in Long Beach..Ha! Great taste, very convenient. Cozy atmosphere on the inside, with seating on the outside.
Darn!! Good pizza! Couldn’t even wait to write the review. Totally recommend the square pepperoni and honey ricotta, slice of heavenly life. 3 slices, 1 pasta, 1 drink $35.

Decent pizza for the price, and they went above and beyond to ensure our dietary restrictions were met
Great pizza here! Love the slices and squares and the honey garlic knots are the best!
The food is absolutely delicious, I have to say the meat packing district is the best pie on their whole menu. I was absolutely pleased. It was very easy to place an order through mobile. The cashier was outstanding, attentive and made sure we were taken care of by the end of our night, asked for my name as soon as I came in and made sure to be attentive of my order. casey was absolutely pleasant The rigatoni was delicious and really gave New York as a Brooklyn individual myself. Dining experience was a 10/10. Best pizza spot in downtown so far

Stop playing with the real Italians 🙌🏾 this pizza is the most delicious I have had in Long Beach ! I got 2 cheese slices just to test the water , and I wish I got a whole pie 😩 definitely a place to take a date , eat solo or take the kids out ! 2 slices for $9 can’t beat that ! Especially in Cali ! New York taste is definitely there !
The crispiness is unmatched and I can’t overemphasize how perfect the vodka sauce is for dipping. Jennifer is a professional and the pizza is outstanding. Whether a single slice or a whole pie they are serving delicious pizza with lots of love!
Great spot for a slice of pizza cooked In brick oven. The ones i had were flavorful with crispy undercarage. A must-have on your list for local pizza.
Updating because I got a $30 medium size pizza, they handed it to me burnt and did not care at all. I wanted to be polite so I just sat down to eat but then about 30-40 minutes before they close the same guy comes over to interrupt a cute moment and say mind if I take all of these chairs. Like idk that could’ve easily waited 10 minutes. Food is good, it’s over priced and you HAVE to check if it’s burnt. This wasn’t even the first time. Pretty damn good white slice, $7 for a small slice is a little wild tho and will give culture shock to anyone from the east coast despite all the subway themed decor, but that’s kinda typical for pizza and bagels in Long Beach 😅 Parking is street and metered but you can press “time” on meter for free 15 minutes if you’re running in for pick up Lots of shops walking distance in promenade are, mostly small non-chain shops, restaurants and bars which is nice if you’re visiting and want to experience something new.
Pretty good slices. Doesn't really compare to authentic NYC pizza out the oven, but is close. Little bit of flop on the slice, so I give it a Bar Stool Review of a 6.2. There's your pizza review. 5 years later, still pretty good.
Excellent wings and pizza, we even had wine. First time in store, but we've ordered delivery too. The upper east side with sausage was really tasty and the double pepperoni and cheese was excellent piping hot 🔥
Came here on a whim, we wanted to check out another Pizza spot down the street. I have a 10 year old with me and "that place" was 21 and over even though I wasn't ordering any alcoholic beverage. So Milana's got our money, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. Their Pizza was amazingly delicious. New York style where you can fold the slices to eat. I know no such thing as New York Pizza, when you are in New York it's just pizza. Anyway their service was great and very clean and organized. We ate our pizza outside in the patio area. It took about 15 minutes for it to be ready. Piping hot and fresh. The flavor here is on point and we'll be back for more.

Definitely gonna come again. Not the best i’ve tried but very good. The crust was very thick and fluffy, it was good, the sauce too. Definitely up there for pizza. Imo 4.25/5
I stumbled into this page just as I was searching my phone for a pizza place. They serve a variety of slices and they had a deal with a slice, a salad and a drink. The pizza was pretty good but the unexpected star of the show was the Caesar salad. Probably the best I ever had. Probably really bad for you since it had a ton of dressing and croutons but it was so good I scarfed it down.
Shocked they’re calling this NY pizza. It’s nothing close, thinner than flatbread. Ordered a chicken parm hero as well and it came with the sauce on the side? Barely any cheese? The dressing for the salad was just a container of olive oil. Greek salad had 2 ingredients, those of which were toppings for pizza. Not vegetables that would go in a salad. Customer before us ordered a beer and the employee was scooping out foam from the beer for 15 minutes, the keg machine must’ve been broken. Never told the customer just kept scooping. Super disappointed and will never be coming back to this place. Service was not friendly, manager told the employee to itemize the special we ordered, and never acknowledged us or even told us he was doing that. Had to find out on the receipt. Anyway, there’s better pizza in Long Beach. See pictures attached.
If you like Burned Pizza then come here. Can’t believe I spent 17 dollars on a sub par pizza. Honestly go elsewhere besides this place. The ingredients are lackluster to say the least and the dough is as tough as the cardboard and don’t get me started on the “ham” but hey if you like that come here. I’ve worked in a New York Style pizza parlor in Seal Beach and this place is garbage. Honestly I want my money back. I ate one slice and threw this “pie” away.
