Dinner tonight was my first time visiting here and I regret that I have not been here sooner. I had a really nice experience and aside from a few hiccups it was a really good dinner with a great vibe. Just to start I really like the design, almost an outdoor inside type of feeling. I especially like the lighting since it’s very low and resembles candlelight. The live jazz was perhaps the true icing on the cake in terms of what made it an enjoyable setting. The music was not too loud that we could not hear each other talking but loud enough that it drowned out the tables around us. I will admit service was pretty slow at the beginning and we had to wait awhile to get our check after we finished but I don’t blame the server at all she was very polite and everyone we saw was working hard I just think they were short staffed tonight. I started off with the beet salad with blue cheese and it was very tasty. Very light and refreshing and was a great start. For my entree I chose the Dover Sole and it was delicious; I finished every bit of it. Overall I would recommend to anyone, especially if you’re a fan of bistro style French cuisine. I would say it’s a casual setting so it would be ideal for a date or a dinner with friends. Parking can be a pain in the area however they do provide valet. It is a bit more expensive than some other bistros but they do have large portion sizes and it is quality.
This is by far one of the best places to eat. Their French onion soup is one of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve travelled the world). All of their food is the best and our server Paul was one of most engaging servers I’ve experienced - very knowledgeable to match the greatness in taste. Please take the time to experience any item on their menu - with a date or good friend.
Cafe Stella is such a cool place with an amazing vibe! The decor is super cool and the crowd is beautiful. I really loved Bar Stella where they serve the best cocktails I have ever had. Thanks especially to Vini who treted us extraordinarily!
Awesome experience with dates! They loved the lamb sausage! A little bit spicy but delicious
Fantastic atmosphere/ambiance, live jazz music, very good food. Really a nice evening. Parking around the area WILL be tough, so give yourself time. In fact, if you can't walk, Uber. As with many restaurants post-covid, you'll probably need a reservation as well. They have a decent amount of seating capacity, but it's good food with good atmosphere, so expect a bit of a crowd.
Great food and service. Fantastic ambiance. Well priced.
I absolutely love this Café, I've been coming here consistently and I've tried various items on the menu and I've got to say everything is of great quality and taste. My first time coming here I was served by Angel and all I can say is 10/10. I have to say that I will ask for him every time I come in the hopes that he'll be my server everytime.
Really cool and unique little cocktail spot! I heard they have food as well.
Great bar. Perfect spot to impress your significant other. Candlelit + alcohol = winning.

This place is a real gem. The bruschetta was absolutely incredible. The scratch-made pasta was delicious, and they have arguably the best tiramisu I've ever had. The service was friendly and relaxed, making it a great spot for any occasion. If you're craving tasty Italian food, this place is definitely worth checking out.
You can't beat the ambience here. Most of the seating is in a courtyard patio. The interiors consist of various rooms intertwined together. Nothing else in L.A. like it. Good wine and cocktail selection. They have a great lunch and dinner menu. Service is generally very good. It is expensive. I've heard a lot of people mention this wondering if the food was actually worth it. I don't know. But I always find myself going back. One of Silver Lake's classic establishments.
I was there two years ago as I was on holidays in LA. I am french so when my friend made a reservation there I was a bit suspicious but OMG, it was literally one of the best french restaurant I ever visited outside of France!! Everything was great from the wine, to the main dish to the dessert! I can't wait to come back soon!

Great ambiance, cute place, customer service can be hit or miss, food is tasty. We visit frequently for our monthiversaries, live music in the evenings. Their attached bar, Bar Stella is awesome, we always stop by for a couple drinks after dinner. Fun.
French restaurant with a fun bar attached. I recommend going to the bar for drinks - always full, good music and great vibes. The restaurant is nice, mostly French dishes. We enjoyed the burger and the cheese plate. Oysters were very fresh. However the escargots and the mussels lacked flavor. For dessert, the crema brûlée is the way to go. Prices are high. Service was quick, reservations recommended.

Great location, great vibes, good menu. Not so great service. Were a party of 3 adults and a 6 year old. The decor is a perfect mix of French brasserie style and LA charm. The menu was perfect french fare. We unfortunately experienced sub-par service but I was assured by a regular that it wasn't typically like this. Would try again as I love a gorgeous, casual French spot and this one was very special. The Stella salad is worth a skip though. Lean into the french-inspired dishes. The croque-madame was a hit.
The menu is broad with good choices for most types of eaters. The wine list is wonderful and our server, Casey, was charming, knowledgable with respect to the wines, and attentive. Service was 5 star. I found the fennel salad to be overdressed, and the Halibut a bit bland and overcooked. At $35 for the plate of fish I expected something closer to perfection, which ultimately led me to a 4 star rating. But our other dishes were excellent, the mushroom pasta is a must. I will definitely return to sample the menu further and hopefully add another star to this review.

The place is amazing! one of my favorites but their wine glasses pours are just way too small for 19$ per glass of wine. The tomato pasta is 25$ which seems a bit ridiculous based on the size. I was still super hungry after. No black pepper or parmiggiano was offered for the pasta. Last but not least, I have being going for years and it just got way too expensive for the food you get. sad because the place is just stunning.

It’s shocking how low the bar has fallen for basic professionalism, especially at the front door of an establishment claiming to offer a premium experience. The doorman was nothing short of a caricature—rude, unrefined, and operating on some self-appointed power trip. Instead of facilitating an upscale and welcoming atmosphere, he seemed more suited for a third-rate dive bar. This testosterone-fueled, low-IQ gatekeeper couldn’t manage the simplest task of customer engagement, let alone uphold the standard of service one expects from a beloved neighborhood establishment. The interaction reeked of inexperience and insecurity, completely shattering any illusion of class or sophistication the venue might aspire to. If management/stakeholders are serious about creating an environment that caters to discerning clientele, they should invest in staff who reflect that ethos—people with both the emotional intelligence and professional demeanor to elevate the experience. Until then, I’ll stick to social clubs that still understand the meaning of service.
Crazy overpriced for mediocre food. Nothing special at all. Drinks were very lame. Wait service and maitre’d both completely flat and snooty and very unimpressive. Live music is the only positive thing I can say about it. I don’t know what people are thinking giving this a positive review. I was really shocked. I go to plenty of restaurants in Los Angeles and I’ve never seen such average food for such high prices.
I’m honestly disappointed. I came here for a special night out, and everything went wrong — from the rude hostess bartender, no one picks up the phone, they no longer have live music. I asked the bartender why don't they pick up the phone she said it's beyond her pay grade. Beyond your pay grade to prove basic customer service to patrons paying $15+ for drinks?? I will never go back to this establishment
