Very special place. Delicious coffee, the pastries the place is named for are addictive, the eclairs are something you’ve never seen or tasted before. One of a kind.
Lovely place! I haven’t been in 3 years and it’s just as I remember. I wanted to get some treats for a friend and asked if the tarts contained huevos. The staff wasn’t sure and called the owner just to check! So kind. I ended up getting the croissants and they reminded me of Paris!
One of the most authentic french bakeries I've ever been to in LA. Their eclairs are beautiful, light, and powerfully flavored (with some unique combinations to boot). Their croissants were very flaky and buttery with an incredible number of layers. Very technically impressive, with a beautiful storefront and cafe setting - a perfect combination. I would highly suggest giving this a try for upscale pastries, and I can't wait to try more. On the pricey side but well worth it.
This place is a treasure trove for croissant lovers, offering an unforgettable rendezvous with this French delicacy. Their masterfully crafted croissants transport you to the streets of Paris. Without doubt, the best croissant I had in LA. If you have a penchant for extraordinary pastries, this is a destination you simply cannot miss.
Great staff and great food. Everything is freshly made daily. The baguettes and croissants are some of the best I’ve had. Owner and wife are both French and have been doing this for a while which shows. Seating area is small but can accommodate a few 2-4 people groups.
This is the BEST French bakery I've ever been to outside of Paris! Everything is delicious and made with impeccable skill and love. The eclairs are gluten free and the croissants are to die for. The owners Elodie and Dan are lovely and welcoming. They get the best ingredients from France, including Normandy butter and even lavender from their family's garden. Plus it's an adorable little cafe. I regularly and highly recommend La Chouquette!
The best baguette in Los Angeles—and it is not close. Delicious pastries. Incredible owners. Great staff. All around perfect.
I felt transported back to Paris as soon as I walked in. Their almond croissant is the best I’ve had in LA and the baguettes are all you could ever want. They had some seating inside and out if you want to sit around and eat what you’ve purchased.
This place is amazing!! The ham and cheese pastry are deliciously well done perfect balance and extremely flaky!! Mazou it's a delicate croissant like but in the shape of cinnamon roll slightly sweet and underline vanilla tones and last but not least double baked almond croissants yum!! The attention to detail in this little store run by the owners is simply mag. Elode and her husband are just the quintessential french way of life poised but simple Will be back the next time I'm in town.
This bakery is amazing! I stayed 3 weeks in LA and had the time to taste everything. The croissant the pain au chocolat are delicious! Eclairs and Dunes are like in the best bakery in Paris! Thank you so much to remind me a little taste of my hometown. The place is beautiful and you can watch the chef baking in the Kitchen! You have to taste it, it's a jem in LA!
This place is amazing! The chouquettes are delicious, and we were absolutely blown away with the croissants and pain chocolate. My husband is from France and we visit Paris often, and can certainly say these are the best croissants we've ever had!
I’m French, and I have been searching for a place in America that made croissants, paints of chocolat, baguettes, etc the way they make them in France, for the 14 years that I’ve lived here. Well, I have very good news. I’ve finally found a place, and it’s La Chouquette. Look no further. This is it! Don’t miss out!
Best bread and croissants in the city. Beautiful storefront, lovely owners. We go so often that our dog has started walking us there! Highly recommended.
Bringing home to L.A ! Being a French leaving in L.A I had to try the Croissant and it just made my life so much better! Croissant + baguette +coffee my go to! now the univers make sens and I have no more reasons to go back to France. :)
Hands down the best eclairs I’ve ever had so far. Their madeleines are really good, too. They seemed like they bake authentic french pastries.
Charming and authentic Parisian patisserie. Meticulously hand crafted pastries that taste as good as they look. Great spot to sit and have a pastry and coffee and people watch.
The most delicious, authentic French experience I've ever had outside of France. Absolutely charming atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely stop by again the next time I am in LA.
Perfect croissant, which I was lucky to get hot out of the oven. As good as the croissant at Fauchon or 134 r.d.t. Boulangerie in the Marais. Flaky crust, buttery inside that wasn't greasy or heavy. And an equally good almond croissant. Finally, a great French patisserie on Melrose.
The only problem is they are in LA and not in our home city. Great foam on the coffee, and the coffee isn't acidic. Matches the pastries, which are recommended, naturally.
Hands down one of the best bakeries in LA! We had the chocolate almond croissant and veggie quiche. Both 10/10. Especially the croissant- gooey on the inside, flaky and full of flavor on the outside 😍😍😍
I am a real person. The pastries and coffee here are amazing 👏 My wife's absolute FAVORITE place to have her birthday cake 🎂 prepared. (It takes 3 days to make it so order in advance)
Cute little French bakery with delicious baguettes 🥖 and viennoiseries 🥐 and at very competitive prices for the quality that you get especially in LA! The pastries were almost all sold out when we got there but we be back to try more of those. Merci to the sweet staff & keep up the yummy work;)
One of the best croissant I've had in la cozy interior and lovely chef host
All the pastries looked delicious, and it was not too sweet, and the chocolate was chewy, making it enjoyable to eat. Recommend this shop if you love chocolate desserts.
Flaky and buttery pastries! Raspberry and raisin swirls were amazing, nutella filled pastry was to die for. Almond croissant needs a little work it was not as flaky as the other pastries. Little on the pricier side but totally worth it.
This was totally unexpected, but, this place has the best vanilla latte I’ve ever had, hands down. Everything I’ve eaten has been phenomenal as well. I LOVED the almond croissant.
This pastry shop transported me with their French deliciousness. Oozing with passion, from the presentation of their store to the kind and devoted workers, this place has left a mark. I will be back. The quality ingredients (many, if not all, I believe imported) under the masterful skill of their workers had me greedily wanting more (and I got two pastries, a baguette, and coffee). Selflessly I shared with my roommate and WOW, all of our senses were engaged and satisfied. We were still savoring the experience long after consuming these luxurious pleasures.
The most amazing birthday cake we could have hoped for!!! My daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday at Nobu restaurant in LA and I wanted to surprise her with a birthday cake, except I was in NYC. Thanks to the wonderful employees at La Chouquette, the cake was made with perfection, the pick up and delivery went without a hitch, and I even received a photo of the cake. Thank you so much!!! The cake was truly exceptional ♥️
It won't take you to Paris, but it's the closest you can get to French art of pastry you can get in LA🔥 Great plain croissants, eclairs, quiche, tarts👌
Delicious pastries in an inviting setting. The service was welcoming. I definitely will come back here on my next visit to West Hollywood.
Best croissants in town by far. So good that my dog literally pulls me into the bakery whenever we pass by.

The moment I stepped in, i knew this place is the best , you can really smell the final result of combined best ingredients and the tase ohhh … thank you guys for being here :)
What a lovely little spot. The owner was so friendly and it smelled AMAZING when we walked in. We got a ham and cheese turnover and an almond croissant--10/10. Great area for walking around in the morning as well.
Saw a review on TikTok about this being the best (only) place in LA where you can get the most authentic pain au chocolat. It's around $5, however it's a fairly decent size compared to other places and exquisite taste! Definitely recommend.
Not all pastries are created equally. the raspberry spiral croissant thing is amazing, perfectly crispy and flaky and subtle actual raspberry. The raspberry mousse also has just the perfect texture and balance. These things might just be worth the price!
Delicious apple turnover! Tart, not-too-sweet apple filling imported from France apparently! Great chocolate mouse with mango passion fruit filled pastry! Excellent coffee as well! Love this place!

The juices here are very standard but the smoothies and the acai bowls are far superior to some of the juice places in LA. There is clearly a lot of thought put into the menu it terms of what flavors work well together and how nutritious. Fast service as the staff know what they are doing and are very organized. I recommend this business highly.
Absolutely delicious. I went in for a snack of the ham and cheese pastry that they will warm up for you if requested and the chocolate and cream pastry along with an iced americano. Both were perfectly flaky filling and delicious and the staff was also very friendly.
Coming right at their last hour was surely my mistake. Yeah as you might have expected, I could barely see anything left. But being around the area just triggered me to try my luck in case I got some nice findings! It's interesting that the moment you entered the bakery, it felt like totally different vibes from the busy hectic street where it's located. Simple and gorgeous. As per my usual, my most go-to for first trial would be almond croissant. Call me lucky, I got the last one and it's even no more on the showcase so great that I asked! Despite surviving the day, which I could imagine the pastry had sit for hours there, it's still crispy and flaky. The almond paste inside was luscious and came in right proportion. Plenty of crunchy almond on top, which was surely the creme de la creme. Would probably give it a 5 star if only I had it reheated and enjoyed it warm.
We sat outside and enjoyed our pastries and desserts. They have a long cinnamon stick that is delicious. Croissant is delicious as well but the desserts were a little heavy. My preferences were the croissant cinnamon stick. Not a lot of seating and the seats are metal. I’m not very comfortable.
I have tried almost all flavors and Plain croissant is the best.

I think they’re expensive for what they sell compared to similar places. They also stopped making one of the only things that made them truly different from other French patisseries or bakeries, which was an almost “pizza”-like stuffed croissant. So much better than it sounds. And a few times we’ve visited my partner has thought the employees weren’t nice. Which I found hard to disagree with. But if you’re a Francophile and you just really need a croissant or pastry, this is a solid option, still.
