THE BEST! This was one of my favorite spots back when it opened. Hadn’t been here in years, but today I’m passing by and decided to try it again for lunch. Wow! Got the steak and eggs, and it was scrumptious. I’m so glad to find this neighborhood gem still shining bright. Can’t wait to come back for the pancakes (which the table next to me had, and it looked amazing). New favorite brunch spot? I think so!
Great food and overall experience form the team at Little Dom's We had a small issue with our take out order and manager Arial stepped right in to make everything right. She was sincere with her apologies and corrected the slight mistake. Our family enjoyed a wonderful meal from Little Dom's - get the RICE BALLS! Delicious!
I found Little Dom’s while I was in the area. When I arrived, it was still closed, but they were about to open and there were already people waiting outside. Even without a reservation, they kindly let us in, but the place filled up very quickly, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is simple, with just a few options, but everything was delicious. Portions are reasonable, not oversized like in some Italian restaurants, which I actually appreciated. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm, with dim lighting that makes it perfect for a date or a relaxed conversation. Our server was extremely friendly, gave great recommendations, and honestly went above and beyond. We really enjoyed the experience and would absolutely come back
Spent a rainy lunch here with a friend who insists on visiting every time they're in town and now I see why! The interior is adorable, with leather booths and a bar at the front where we sat. The windows are nice and large: the best place to people watch on the street with a latte. Since they close after lunch, our server let us hang out at our table for over 2 hours to chat over tea and coffee. He was very accommodating and our food came out quickly and pipping hot! To start, we split the rice balls appetizer, which were perfectly fried on the outside, yet warm and sticky on the inside with cheese and plump rice. It paired really well with the marinara sauce on the side and I appreciated the extra bit of Parmesan and fresh herbs on top to make the dish more visually appealing. For my main course, I ordered the calabrese fried chicken sandwich and absolutely loved it! The toasted brioche bun was buttery, soft and slightly sweet. The chicken was very well seasoned, battered and fried, and well complimented by the acidity from the pickles tomatoes and heat from the aioli. The side salad was a great palate cleanser between bites too. I ate a bite of the ricotta blueberry pancakes and can attest that they are very rich and heavy, so consider splitting it with someone if you aren't ravaging. Totally worth the order though because it is incredibly delicious!
Great local spot. Not too expensive for lunch or their Monday supper deal, some real gems on the menu and the service is amazing and sometimes shockingly fast. Personal favorite is the fried chicken sandwich on the lunch menu, but everything is solid in my experience. Not necessarily the best Italian food in the area, but still one of my favorite restaurants all around. Oh and if you go a few times you’ll probably see a celebrity lol.
If you find yourself in Los Angeles, and especially near the Griffith Park area then search out Little Dom's. The menu has something for everyone's tastes, yet simple and not packed with menu item after menu item. What they do, they do RIGHT!. The oyster po-boy was well seasoned with meaty pacific coast oysters and the pickled green tomatoes on it were a game changer. The spaghetti and meatballs did not disappoint, and combined with an arugula salad were a true delight. If your there at dinner time you might want to try the buffalo mozzarella and market tomatoes - It was refreshing and just the right amount of seasoning to highlight the dish. The Chef de Cuisine Luke O'Grady and the Little Dom's team didn't disappoint in service and the establishment has a warm feeling and a sense of community.
What a charming gem of a restaurant! This place has been on our list to check out for a while, and I finally had the chance to visit, and it did not disappoint. We decided to sit at the bar due to the wait time, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Our bartender, Laura, was fantastic! She provided us with great food recommendations and made some delicious drinks. Time: noon/brunch Ordered: - rice balls -sausage/pepperoni pizza -fried potatoes
Had an amazing breakfast at Little Dom’s! The dishes had a delightful Italian flare, and every bite was a burst of deliciousness. The ambiance took me back to classic old-school Italian charm, and the service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. Can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal!
Went here for the first time with some colleagues while in town for a work conference. It was recommended by one of them who lived in the area and had been before. We were so impressed with the service, ambience and the food. Seriously, I would recommend this place to anyone who visits LA.
After reading all of the reviews below plus articles online, I had a solid strategy going in and we had a wonderful dinner at Little Doms. I planned not to order any fish but calamari (fantastic) and snagged the rice balls (very satisfying). I knew I should have ordered the arugula based on previous reviews but I have a thing for little gems (too creamy not crunchy enough) that was the only subpar dish. For mains we had the pappardelle (on the soft side) and cavatelli (vodka sauce heaven) with a side of meatballs (simple and delicious). Their red sauce is outstanding!! We made a 5p rez and really glad we came at open it got pretty busy quickly. It is a really special place, can’t wait to come back :)
We had a terrific dinner last night. LD has some of the best meatballs that I have had in LA and the rest of our meal did not disappoint either. Located in Los Feliz in a very walkable and busy area there is not a dedicated parking lot, but street parking is fairly easy to find. We were able to find a spot a block away for a 6:30PM dinner. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and I really like the design on the inside. Reminds me of a traditional East Coast Italian restaurant complete with dark booths and tiled floors. Our server Emily also did a great job and was very prompt. For dinner we chose the Wood Grilled Artichoke, the Fish Piccata which was Branzino, a Pizza with Prosciutto, and 3 house-made Meatballs. The Artichokes were a great summer treat and really started the meal off with a great tone. Both of our entrees were terrific as well. The Branzino Piccata had an incredible sauce, as well as large caper berries that really added to the flavoring. The fish was cooked perfectly too so I really enjoyed this dish. We split the Meatballs and as mentioned they were a standout; some of the best that I have ever had in LA. The Pizza was very light and thin, which really enhanced the flavors. The marinara was perfectly sweet too and was delicious. Overall a great Italian dinner in a casual and quaint setting. I would recommend to anyone for any occasion and plan to be back in the near future.
Calabrese Fried Chicken Sandwich / fried chicken breast, brioche bun, Calabrese mayo, provolone, pickled green tomato - 5 🌟! Side of fried potatoes - 5 🌟! Little Dom's is a popular foodie spot in Los Feliz, the area that I also live in. When I tell people what is available in Los Feliz village, most have heard of Little Dom's, and they are absolutely worth the hype. I had their Calabrese fried chicken sandwich with a side of fried potatoes. The meal came out fresh and super hot. It was impossible to resist, so I dove in rather than wait for it to cool down. It was amazing and full of crispy chicken flavor with a tangy spice to go with it. It made the discomfort of the temperature of the meal worth it. The chicken breast is huge and was double the size of the brioche bun, and the bun wasn't small! I loved the spicy Calabrese mayo. I'm not sure what they fry the chicken in, but it was light and crispy with a nice, consistent crunch. The potatoes were a lovely side to go with the sandwich. Honestly, everything on their menu looks great. I want to go back soon for the meatball sub. They have nice outdoor seating and lots of room inside. I walked over, and I didn't see a parking lot, but the area isn't too hard to find street parking except during evening rush hour.
I have loved this place even before covid. The pizza is very good and thin crust. The ravioli was delicious. Small but really good. I’ve had the ricotta pancakes before too ans that was really tasty. You can outdoor dine here. Staff was very knowledgeable and gave recommendations. I can’t wait to eat here again.
THANKSGIVING DINNER POST: I have to say, I’ve wanted to try Little Dom’s takeaway Thanksgiving Dinner for some time now. I’m glad I did because I wont do it again, but here is my honest review: Turkey: 5/10 (should’ve found a time closer for a fresher pick up, the reheating instructions completely dried it out). Most disappointing! Gravy: 8/10 Stuffing: 9/10 (a crowd favorite, very rich though FYI). Brussel Sprout Salad: 8/10 Pumpkin Pie: 10/10 (By far the most authentic tasting thing they had) They get a 4 star because there is no 3.5 which is what the average is closer to’
We only went here for brunch, so it is hard to talk about the rest of the food. That being said, everything was delicious. They have fresh squeezed orange juice and the usual selection of hot and cold drinks. I had their homemade granola, yogurt, and fresh blueberries. It was probably the best granola I have had in a long while. Quantities were well-balanced. This is a very nice version of this classic. We had the ricotta cheese and blueberry pancakes. They were delicious, light and fluffy, and served with maple syrup. The eggs fungi were delicious, with lots of sauteed mushrooms on the bread and perfectly cooked eggs. Also great was the smoked salmon pizza served with stracciatelli cheese, red onion, and crispy capers on a cracker type bread. If their dinner food is this good, wow. Service was excellent, and you can sit inside or outside. It is located at 2128 Hillhurst Avenue.
Two stars only for cute outside sitting and orange espresso tonic. Pepperoni pizza was tasteless , cappuccino was mid, mushroom Benedict eggs was bad! Salt was only on some parts and on some it was too much and some parts were absolutely tasteless. But the worst was tiramisu… again some parts were overloaded with liquor and some were not and overall it tasted like some of the products they used were expired. Will never come back ;( and for all that I listed it was 82$…
Our first time here. The restaurant was beautiful, but the service was soo disappointing. Our server (she was tall, brown hair? had glasses) was very passive aggressive from the minute we sat down. We asked what wines she would recommend, and she said “um, I don’t know.” The entire time we felt like an inconvenience. We felt very uncomfortable. We also put in our notes on the reservation it was a birthday, but there was no candle or anything special. I work in a restaurant, and our experience was shocking. I wouldn’t return based on the service, but the rice balls were 10/10. We would’ve given a fatttt tip if we felt like she actually wanted to be there.
Awful food with extremely rude attitude. Salty potatoes like poison. Pappardelle is greasy and spaghetti stinks. The lady check us out is providing such attitude for no reason, we literary just ask to apple pay and that's it. Also, we didn't get fork and napkin at first not even after our food is served, we have to ask for it.
