Javier our server was professional and attentive. We ordered 1 anticucho and 2 fish ceviches. This by far is the best place for Peruvian ceviche in Los Angeles. The fish is tasty and fresh. I am so pleased with sauces, and the quality of the food. This place has replaced my old peruvian restaurant. Make reservations and enjoy this savory feast.
Fun, friendly and delicious. What can you ask for more from a restaurant? Restaurant was full of energy the one moment you step in, staffs were very friendly and attentive, and food were amazing. Ceviche are the best, fresh and perfect balance favor. The owner running the show make this a five star restaurant.
Absolutely incredible and amazing prices! The staff were friendly and the service was super quick… they had a ton of vegetarian options and the sauces were great. Parking is tough on the street but if you cross Figueroa, there’s a lot a block back that is easy and cheap.
We stopped by Rusty on our LA vacation and the food was so delicious and the service was exceptional. Out waiter was very kind to go over each plate with us, he was very patient. The food tasted like authentic Peruvian food. Everything was great
Seco de Carne was amazing and full of flavors…
Loved my chicken plate and the sauces! So much flavor. The plantains were perfectly caramelized
I must start by saying that I was really apprehensive about trying Rosty's and that is only because when in LA, I can't wait to get to my Peruvian faves, Mario's and El Rocoto. But I am so happy I gave Rosty a try! This is a fairly new restaurant and with that being said, they are somewhat understaffed but, the service was far from being mediocre. My food did not take an hour to arrive and even if it would have, it was well worth the wait. The food is cooked as you order it, not precooked or microwaved. So if a quick bite is what you are looking for, you may want to try the Pollo a la brasa. The food is simply delicious, we ordered the Lomo Saltado, the meat was seared to perfection which gave it the right juciness and tenderness (something good Lomo Saltado requires), the onions and tomatoes were stir fried to perfection. It had the right "saltiness" for my taste but, I am sure that if you would like it less salty you can request it at the time of ordering. We also ordered the Tallarin Verde and the Tallarin a la Huancainca and the pasta was cooked just right with generous amounts of the creamy sauces. I also had some of the best Chicha Morada outside of Peru, it had just the right sweetness and purple corn goodness. The portions are very generous and well worth the price, 2 people could easily share one of Rosty's dishes. So if authentic Peruvian food in a relaxed and comfortable environment is what you are looking for, pack yourself a good read and patience and head on over to Rosty's. Oh, do try the Lucuma ice cream, it is just delicious. No palette cleaning needed for me, I have found the one my palette craved for!😉
Best Peruvian food ever!!! Just amazing, I've been to several Peruvian restaurants and this just became my favorite one. Friendly staff, very clean....the flavor of the food was just amazing. We ordered 4 different plates and everything was delicious. Papá la hucaina, lomo saltado, tallarín saltado and chaufa de pollo. I'm so happy to have them in my neighborhood.

Very delicious. I ordered a especial chuafa that includes shrimp + steak + gallina(chicken) :) this rice dish is so tasty it has fried egg chunks & scallions, in its stir fry. If you're hungry and like rice dishes this is a must for you. I definitely elect this place' chaufa for a tourney. My two shots are my dine in & the portion of chaufa that I had left when I was full.. Thank you Every one for a neat clean dining experience. Your music was hot and it definitely has Peruano vibes.
Peruvian food here exceptionally delicious. Very juicy and with lots of taste. Highly recommend this place. We had the saltado de pollo y carne with some chicha morada. The chicha morado was okay for taste.
A recommend place in Los Angeles if you want to have ceviche, or in general other Peruvian food. I had La Copa Nostra, one of the most diverse assortment of seafood ceviche (and I loved it spicy 🔥🔥) . My friends had other types of ceviches and they were equally good. We also had some fried plantain for starter, which would be a treat if you want to have something a tad sweet with spicy foods. I'll definitely be going there again to try other dishes.
Just happened to walk by and tried this place. Let me just say it’s so delicious, great portion size, nice flavors, you just can’t go wrong with anything off the menu. I definitely will be back!
Incredible food and vibe. Crispy skin on the chicken and the meat is so juicy!! The sauces they serve are amazing and the sides are great too. This might be my new favorite meal in Highland Park!
We had a great experience with dinner here. Seated 4 with in 15 minutes and it was quite enough to enjoy our conversation and the great food. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.
I went there for lunch with my friend, and I got to say, the service was wonderful, the food was excellent. Going to take the wife soon. No complaints, the atmosphere was nice and cozy, good music also
Wonderful service~ food comes out quickly and is a great place to go on your work break. I got the burrito de pollo today~ but I am also a huge fan of a 1/4 chicken with two small sides of yucca fries~ all three dipping sauces are delicious!

Excellent rotisserie chicken, friendly (long time) waiters which I think shows good management and owners who know how to take care of their staff, and most importantly great pricing considering the amount of food served. A local gem of a Peruvian restaurant

Ok, this might be my favorite place to eat at for the moment because the food was delicious, hearty and grabs your soul. The server recommended their roasted chicken which didn't disappoint and came with a mild aji and two creamy ranch and lemony sauces. The la copa nostra was all right but I did like the presentation with the fried shrimp and calamari on top with the cooked fish, shrimp and mussels in a lime like sauce. The high lite was the hearts served on a skewer - more steak like then liver if you never had this. This place is just a cozy little nice place to take a date.
Had a family style meal here on the weekend with friends. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for dinner time. We tried a few different dishes. The seafood fried rice was probably my favorite, along with the fried plantains. The dishes seemed fresh and high quality, with good flavor. It was all just overshadowed with too much salt for my palate, especially the ceviche. Food came fast and staff was nice, it just wasn’t what I was hoping for considering the price. Worth a try, but probably won’t go back again. There’s better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Pretty good Peruvian restaurant. The chaufa was good, but a little too greasy. The jalea de mariscos was super delicious, the yuca was really fresh. They have variety of sauces which other Peruvian restaurants lack. Lomo saltado was average and so was the cebiche (Peruvian spell it like that). The owner is super friendly and our waiter even though not Peruvian was very knowledgeable about the Peruvian cuisine. Since is not a coffee shop, they do not have espresso or lattes, they just do drip coffee that they can espresso. They also sell Peruvian goodies. As at this moment they don't sell pisco, but hopefully in the near future.
First time trying this spot. Pros- I've never had roasted chicken with such depth of flavor and crispy skin as this establishment made. Outstanding. Cons- the host had a temperament like his size....short. Perhaps he's an introvert, but he had attitude, and behaved like I inconvenienced him just for showing up. When waiting for my takeout order, he appeared to treat other diners in a similar fashion. The taller gentleman; however, was friendly and courteous. I'd have to try this place again, but I'd request another server if it was the shorter gent.
The food was overall okay, but nothing that really stood out. The ceviche was a bit underwhelming, it lacked the brightness and punch I was hoping for, and the flavors felt somewhat flat. The chaufa con mariscos was decent, though a little on the bland side despite the seafood. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive and very kind, which definitely made the experience more enjoyable.
Tried a variety of things because we ate family style. Food was served very picture friendly. Servers were nice and atmosphere was nice, but food was okay. Nothing bad. I would come back. But just didn't have that craving element to it. I wanted to try the rotisserie chicken so maybe next time.

The flavor is never the issue. It is fairly consistent and good. I used to come here quiet often When they first opened however the portions definitely are not worth it. I ordered a Saltado de mariscos and lomo. The amount of meat and potatoes is very little. For the price of the plates they definitely need to improve the quality of the servings. This really reminds me why I stopped coming here.

We ordered the half chicken and the tacu tacu with lomo. The lomo dish was disappointing: the amount of meat was quite scarce compared to the overwhelming quantity of onions, and the overall seasoning was excessively salty. The tacu tacu itself leaned HEAVILY on rice, lacked depth of flavor, and missed the signature toastiness that defines a good tacu tacu. I would caution diners not to be swayed by trendy or surface-level reviews. If you are familiar with Peruvian cuisine and its cultural standards, this falls well below what is typically expected in terms of balance, technique, and authenticity. Having eaten at several excellent Peruvian restaurants on the East Coast, the difference was very noticeable. Service was decent and polite, which I appreciated. However, the overall dining experience was impacted by details that should not be overlooked: the plates we were served on had chipped corners, and a light bulb directly above our table kept flickering throughout the meal, which was distracting. There is potential here, but between the execution of the food and the lack of attention to detail, this restaurant has significant room for improvement.
