We had the Kung Pao chicken and sweet and sour pork. Very well done. The fried rice was exceptionally delicious. The portions were perfect with plenty to take home for a light dinner. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was a nice place to have lunch. They also had spotless bathrooms which tells a lot. Will return. Good job!

Great food, great service and nice atmosphere. Food in pictures: Egg flour soup, orange chicken, mushu pork, cashew nut chicken, chicken fried rice egg roll, wonton, fried shrimp and steamed rice. And hot tea.

Had a stopover for lunch at this place. The lunch combo was great. Sufficient for one person with good quantity and great taste. Price is also good for $15 per person. Would stop again for sure. The best was that the interior was very well maintained, and the service was awesome.

The service in the beginning was a little rocky and pushy but soon after they were very attentive and very kind. This was the best Chinese restaurant I have been to since leaving the Bay area. I got to enjoy their preset lunch options. The sesame chicken was far better than the Mongolian beef, but I can assure you there will be nothing on the menu that you will not like. Their hot and sour soup, egg rolls and wontons were amazing. I was so impressed with their hot and sour soup that it didn't need extra seasoning- you know extra chili oil and soy sauce- it was amazing all on its own. I will for sure stop by every time I pass the area. It's super easy to get to with a bunch of parking. There's no excuse to not try this place out. I can guess pretty soon. This place will get super busy if it doesn't already. I just hope they take reservations!

We really enjoyed this place. I ordered a really nice chardonnay and we had the war wonton soup as an appetizer. We also ordered walnut prawns and sizzling black bean chicken. Everything was wonderful including the service. The inside of the restaurant is very nice. Definitely a hidden gem. It was a little expensive but you can get package dinners that will make the cost of your meal like going to any other Chinese restaurant.

China gourmet was a tasty, hassle free, pickup experience. The sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, and kung Pao chicken where good, but each left a little flavor to be desired (especially the kung pao). The sweet and sour sauce is separate so the chicken doesn't get soggy which was a nice touch. They also included a large egg roll and a crab Rangoon piece with each order which I didn't realize until we picked it up. All our sides were chow mein which was chewy and sauced well. For about 50 bucks we were quite happy with what we got. Ordering was a breeze online with lots of options and descriptions. While I didn't dine in the vibe inside was dim and lovely with lots of big tables for large parties.

I think this place by far is the best place to get authentic Chinese food if you're in the Paso Robles area. If I'm in the area I always stop by here. It's a little bit pricey compare to others but you pay for good food.

Very decent Chinese restaurant with modern decor and pretty tasty food. We tried their special luncheon which came in a bento box. The fried wontons and egg rolls were very crispy and the fried rice was tasty but a little too oily for our taste.

Called in order of one Kung pao chicken, one chicken string bean, and one pork egg roll. Went in to pick it up and manager said it was $64.49. I questioned the amount and he said it was right. Again I ask how was it that high. To which he again said it was right. I paid and left. Got to hotel and we had juice leaking out of containers, nothing to eat with, and 4 spring egg rolls not 1 pork egg roll. Food was just average. Lesson learned check your order out. They will try to up charge you for wrong things ordered.

I think they must have changed ownership or something. There was way less food than I remember getting in the past, and they usually package their stuff in decent size Chinese takeout boxes, not the little plastic ones we got this time. That wasn't worth 18 bucks. I'm really disappointed, I made a review 6 years ago saying this place was great and it's just not anymore.

My feeling is that this Chinese restaurant specifically targets passing tourists and non-Asian customers. The prices are not cheap, the quality is very average, and they forcibly charge a ~18% tip for their poor service.

I ordered the 8 chicken wings & pork fried rice and food didn’t meet my expectations. There should be a more detailed explanation of the food or at least pictures online. This is not worth $40.
