This was mine, and my families first time to eat here. Upon walking in, the restaurant was clean, and we were greeted promptly. The staff was friendly, and quick to get us drinks, and see if we were ready to order. The food arrived in a timely manner and was freshly cooked. The portions were generous. We plan on dining there again.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. The server is kind and engages with us. When she saw I had low broth, she offered to give me more. I find it thoughtful. The food is delicious. The place is clean. The environment is nice. The music is vibey. All together, my family and I enjoyed ourselves :)
Food was delicious and made quick we didn't wait long and the waiter was super attentive. They are always nice here and the food is always fresh hot and delicious.
We ordered the Dinner Combo and An order of honey walnut shrimp and it was so good!!! The front lady is so nice she makes me feel like im home!!! We live in chowchilla and came in the rain girl!! Lol I hope they stick around! 💞
I love their food and service. Exactly what I always order, complete with everything soy sauce, fortune cookies, chili sauce. Including napkins, forks. I've never had to remind the server for the napkins ect. Fresh, hot and well worth the price. Like now and later, I'll eat my plate of food in two sittings. Thank you, so much for the great food.
My Daddys favorite place and food is always good
The food here is AMAZING!! For a small town restaurant, they could give any city competition!! Staff is friendly, and knowledgeable. Restaurant is super clean, and always busy. Love this place
Always great service and a comfortable environment. She's been making us great food since I was just a toddler (at her previous restaurant), I'm so happy to see that she opened up this new restaurant for herself. Highly recommended by my entire family!
Ive never eaten at the restaurant but every time my family brings home take out from there. It's so good. And I'm picky about Chinese food. Ive had some good Chinese food only from a handful of places. This place has officially been added to that handful. Consistently 🔥.
Omg the best Chinese food ever and a ton of it they give i really enjoy the egg flower soup what a hidden gem
My FAVORITE chinese place in the central valley!! Food is always so delicious and fresh. I usually always get the orange chicken with pan fried noodles. I also recommend the egg rolls and pot stickers. The eggrolls themselves are huge and so tasty. I love that they give you big portions. My boyfriend and I sometimes share a plate. Atmopshere can vary. They tend to get super busy around lunch and early evening. Service is always very polite and welcoming!
This is my third time here and the quality of the food and service have been excellent every time. I’ve come during dinner rushes, and also during slower periods and it’s been such a pleasure every time. My favorite order is definitely the Village Chop Suey over chow mien. It’s loaded with delicious veggies, chicken, pork, shrimp, and a savory sauce all atop noodles. I love their house made chili oil so I was recommended to try the dish made medium spicy today and there’s no going back for me now. Absolutely delish, the perfect kick, depth of flavor, and freshness from the veggies. A favorite of ours is also the fried shrimp. Love this place and we will continue to return and support. Thank you!
What a goldmine find lol! Stumbled across this place randomly during a long drive from Yosemite to San Francisco! We love a Chinese and the food here is delicious, it’s crazy cheap compared to our prices in the UK lol, fantastic options and very friendly staff! Highly recommend the lunch option - you get sooooo much for your money! Big portions - the noodles were just fab and the soup no idea what that was lol but it was so good and light on the stomach!
The food and pricing are great, it's a small restaurant with amazing food, love there cashew shrimp taste so fresh and sweet. For the price it's worth it very affordable and yet filling and satisfying. Love their food always great portions. It was a symphony of flavors and spices. Overall great food highly recommended based on quality and quantity. A very delicious meal every time.
They have the greatest Chinese food and great service. We had a nice booth by the window. I had broccoli shrimp - just delicious. 😋
Possibly the best Pot Stickers I have ever eaten, they were made in house. Most places give you 5 and they said we would get 8 but they gave us 9 for under 10.00. The chop suey chow mein was perfection, hot vegetables but still have a crunch. Sauces were well balanced and portion sizes were spot on. If I’m ever in town I will definitely eat here again.
Always a good experience when I go there once a week
I just went for some chow mein and they did not disappoint! I would’ve highly recommend coming here a lot a food for the cheap price and it is so bomb! Best chicken chow mein I’ve had in a while.
Great food and quick, friendly service! Don't be fooled by an old menu that says they serve beer because they do not.

After that other Chinese restaurant went down hill I had to find a new spot, in Madera. Been driving past this place forever. Decided to try it, and OMG Id been missing out. Food is delicious! The service is *excellent *(depending on your server, there's always that one that "forgets" to bring your food or doesn't bother to come around a give you refills) 🤷 The place is small and It can get pretty loud when the place is full, Especially when customers are being extremely loud, cackling , and hollering and having zero consideration for other costumers... Would definitely 100% recommend.. And will continue to go back. ❤️
My granddaughter got chicken noodle soup and I got sweet and sour pork the village with noodles and the rangoons
Great food and prices. Ooh was very friendly and helpful.
Incredible atmosphere and great quality food. Occasionally, they tend to be rather shortstaffed so depending on when you arrive to the restaurant, you might wait for around 20 minutes or so would definitely recommend bringing a book to read or something to play with to pass the time. as for the pricing, I would say it’s incredibly justified. I paid around $30 for both chicken fried rice and me me me both of which were really big servings and it took me an entire two days to finish the food. Still, I strongly recommend this for people who are looking for a nice place to eat out or, just wanting to grab some thing that will quite literally last you a couple days depending on how much food you consume. In short, five stars.
Best chow mein I’ve ever had!!! And trust me, the portion could feed 3-4 people! So generous. ❤️ love this place

Clean restaurant. Quiet atmosphere. Food is fresh. I could tell when I went to have lunch there when I gave my order it was cooked to order. Nothing was frozen. Vegetables were not mushy. Nor was there a whole lot of gelatinous, jelly like, sauce. None of those noodles in a can. Very reasonably priced. Lunch specials and dinner family specials. All meat was very flavorful and tender.
It's an older place that could use some upgrades, but the food is good. The prices are high and they charge for everything extra. I understand but some items are ridiculous. My husband wanted extra wontons in his soup and they charged like 3.00 per wonton. Maybe consider a bulk price for like 3, 6, etc. But a 3.00 each ... no thank you.

The chef decided to over fry the shrimp until they were dark brown and rock hard. The fried rice was cold. The noodle were perfect. Would never buy the lunch special again.
The food was good overall. Plenty of food. I ordered take out so not sure about the dine in service but it did take quite a while to get my order. The dining room needs some help, definitely needs updating.
I visited because of the overall positive reviews on this site. I thought the food was OK. I ordered the lunch special with sweet and sour pork. I liked the fried rice and egg blossom soup. I also ordered sweet and sour pork to go. It was OK. Kind of tough. I noticed several customers ordered large bowls of soup. Several customers seemed to be regulars. I would like to return and try something more traditional like soup. Some reviews said the service was awful. I had excellent service. The restaurant has a bit of an attitude. Next to the register is a sign that says “Anything extra costs extra!”, or something like that.
To sum it up, the food is delicious but the service is terrible. I’ll start with the pros. The food is delicious. No doubt about it. The noodles in chow mein aren’t extra watery but just right. The portions are sizable. You’ll have leftovers, for sure. The atmosphere inside is comfortable and calm, quite enjoyable for a meal. Here’s where the problems arise. The girls the work the front of the house lack people skills. They are straight up rude. Mind you, they are young and have attitudes like they just graduated from high school but that’s not an excuse to how to treat people. It shouldn’t matter if it’s a customer or not. You don’t treat anyone rudely, in general. For example, I walked and there was a waitress at the front. I made eye contact, smiled, said hello. She just ignored me. I felted disrespected and like as if I wasn’t welcome. Anyways, I brushed it off, thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal. When my food was ready, she practically slammed the plate on the table, ask if I wanted anything else, and was quick to turn around and walk away. I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but I didn’t feel very comfortable with the attitude she was giving off. Anyways, I come for the food, not to be serviced. If I could, I would rather pick up my food and walk to the table myself. It’s just disappointing that people don’t treat you as a human being.

Its ok place. You order by plate. Like panda in a way. Prices are $10 or so depending what you get. Noodles where hard on half of my plate and the other part soft...not sure what happend there. Orders some other stuff but to be honest the food doesnt really have flavor its ehhh. My stomach and my girlfriend started hurting we didnt even finished it half ways and decided to pay and leave. To each their own...but i dont really recommend this place. Staff took a while to ask us what we wanted or what drinks. She was busy talking to someone and laughing. Took around 10 min from time we arrived to getting our drinks and another 10 or so min to get our food. Food looks good but.......

For example, I walked and there was a waitress at the front. I made eye contact, smiled, said hello. She just ignored me. I felted disrespected and like as if I wasn’t welcome. I called about 10 times to place and order and was hanged up on every single time. When I was finally able to place an order, I get there during my 30 min lunch and my food was not even ready when the order was placing 45 min in advance. Worse place ever to eat during a lunch break!!! The owner family member is also so rude to everyone
The most terrible Chinese food I have ever eaten. The sweet and sour pork, & eggroll we could not eat hard as rocks. Fried rice was soupy & nasty. All the food was overcooked I sent it back and when they brought me my plate back we still couldn't eat the food. It was nasty rotten tasting. We left the food and paid the bill. It was so bad they need to be shutdown. The waitress said that everyone has been complaining about the food. She kept saying how sorry she was we still left her a tip and left. I don't recommend this restaurant for anything.
I hate to admit that their food is actually really good. But their service is beyond HORRIBLE... They literally do not answer the phones for orders. I was trying to call for almost an hour and couldn't get through. So I finally went to the restaurant to order in person. The phone works fine because it was ringing when I walked in. But none of the employees bothered answering it. Turns out there were three other customers in the lobby who had the exact same experience by trying to call numerous times before coming and couldn't get through. And this is not the first time this has happened. I guess this is just how they operate, which is ridiculous. Very well be my last time coming here. They need to do better with their over the phone customer service.
Horrible service!!! Arrived at 8:23 for dine in and were rudely turned away. This has happened twice within the last couple of months. We try to support small businesses but this is completely rude and unacceptable!!!
Had to send the sweet and sour chicken back because it had sat under a heat lamp so long you couldn't chew it. The noodles were hard and chewy and dry. They buy their meat frozen. Was terrible. I didn't like their food when they were still the village. If I would have realized that it was the Village, in a new location with new name, I never would have gone in.
Terrible Service. Decided to dine in and the women in the front told me it was self seating. Sat at a booth , 15min in and never received a menu, i got up and got one myself . 15min more still haven’t been attended to. The two servers that were there did NOT acknowledge my booth while they both continued to pass by the booth i was sitting at to attend others! I ended up leaving after over 30min of being unattended to, and spoke to the manager, she had no explanation or did anything about the situation.
Do not go to this place on Sundays. Yes the food is good. But they get crazy busy. The lady looked so confused & unorganized. The parking lot is small. & with social distancing wasn't easy cause you need to stay in line but also don't want to get hit by a car in the parking lot. I waited a an hour, Just for the lady to tell me my food wasn't ready, & she said she didn't know when it would be ready. So I just left. There was abt 15 other ppl out there waited with me. Ridiculous...
I was looking forward to trying this restaurant due to the good reviews. Boy was I disappointed. We got take out. The service was good, but the food was pretty terrible. The tempura shrimp and egg roll were just lumps of undercooked batter with barely anything inside. The chow mein noodles were gummy and tasteless. The hot mustard wasn't even hot. The stellar reviews on here are puzzling.
I called in an order for 2 meals and egg rolls. They said it would be 15 mins. I waited 40 mins. They charged me $37 and gave me 3 meals. Didn't realize it until after I left. I call to ask what happened and she insists I asked for 3 meals and I did not. I get back to eat the food and there's no napkins, no utensils. The egg rolls are disgusting I almost vomited. The rice and chicken I got isn't much better. Absolutely never ever going here again. Stay away.
Terrible customer service. The asian lady is rude. I placed an order over the phone and when it was time to pick it up they said I never called to place an order. Supposedly the goodle number for this restaurant is the wrong number and that sometimes that number is forwarded somewhere else which is bs. I called back and the asian lady said there's 2 lius village restaurants in Madera which is a lie and that I was calling the one that's not on gateway but wouldn't give me an address for the supposedly 2nd location. I was trying to figure out the phone and address issue with her and she rudely said she doesn't have time to solve any problems and hung up.
Stingy and messy. Very nice when you place the order. Big change if you ask for plates, forks or anything else. Very hard to eat it was such a mess. Curry got on everything.

I have to say I ate here once before and thought it was good enough to go back. However, in attempting to dine in I was told that they were closed for dine in services even though there was still 1.25 hours until closing. Major turn off and the food isn't that good to overlook crappy dishonest service. I'll never be back and would suggest you don't waste your time either. Ridiculous you have to guess if and when they are open for dine in.
Don't eat here !!!! My mom and I ordered to go. We have never been here, but wanted to try a different restaurant in the area. The server lady was super nice. (Possibly the owner.) The inside of the restaurant and bathroom were very clean. We were excited to get home and eat it did smell so good. I always leave a generous tip, (where Im able tip.)However the food was horrible.☹️ Old orange chicken that was crunchy over cooked, old sweeta and sour chicken hard and crunchy. Egg rolls hard. Egg fu young, was old. Noodles were boring and plain. ☹️Food tasted like old left overs, from the day before. Was not worth what I paid. ☹️We couldn't even finish our food it was that bad. My stomach hurt instantly. I was very disappointed. ☹️I expected more from the cook and the restaurant and the food, I had food poisoning from this place,my poor tummy. I would not recommend this place. We will just go to our regular spot next time.
