Our meals were made to order, served hot & delish 😋. We ordered tacos & a chicken strip basket. The lady at the drive thru was very friendly. Wish I would have got her name.

This place hits the Spot💥 I had a tasty Blizzard & enjoyed it Immensely.... Many people in drive-thru & ordering within this location too. 😁
Meals were made to order and served hot! No water option at the fountain drink machine, though, which was the only letdown. When asked, I was told bottled was the only available water. Because of the area, I'm guessing they don't want street drifters wandering in and asking for water cups and loitering for free water.
Today at this particular, Dairy Queen, my wife, son and myself went to have an ice cream dessert. My son had one of the blizzards and my wife had a mini blizzard myself I had a banana split. And that’s where the problem started the strawberry syrup and the pineapple syrup with pineapples aren’t the same as what they used to be. Pineapple seems like they came straight out of a can with the watery syrup that it comes in. Same thing for the strawberry, they’re not the same anymore. What a big disappointment Dairy Queen has become.
This used to be a nice place to order food from except on 8/29/2025. I ordered a banana split. When I got to the drive through window, I was there waiting for several minutes before they even bothered to take my payment. Either they were texting on their phone or gathered at the front counter with 1 customer. After taking my payment...they told me to pull to the side and wait for my order. The guy behind me got his order immediately. I decided to pull out my receipt and was headed to go inside and ask what was going on. There was no banana split on the receipt. There were 3 items totalling over $10.50. Ten minutues had alrady passed by. When I went inside and explained my complaint and asked for compensation. All I got was attitude, no apologies and no compensation from Eduardo the manager on duty. . I was able to get a refund on the items they charged me for but I had not ordered. They charged me for the banana split, and quickly got the order. Again no apologies for the really bad service. I asked for the franchise owners phone number and they said they did not have it. Asked for the general manager name, Eduardo would not give it to me other than she would be on duty at 5pm and "might" bother to talk to me. Talk about poor customer service, total lack of professionalism and not showing respect for customers. I called Dairy Queen National Headquarters and asked them to let the franchise owners know what happened to me. Trust me, they lost my business and I will let my friends know what happened to me. Word of mouth can do a lot of damage. That is why I am leaving this bad review. PS To the franchise owners! I have checked out the reviews from just this year. WHY HAVENT YOU MADE ANY CORRECTIONS? The same team that gave me crap on 8/29/2025 is the same team that has done the same thing to a lot of customers from 7 months to present. I guess you dont mind losing money, business or customers on your franchise and you must be independently wealthy and afford to not care that your business is going down the drain. START FIRING people and quit just apologizing to people who give your location bad reviews
I came to get a blizzard one of the summer limited ones, I went through drive thru, asked for the superman blizzard and they tell me they don't have the syrup so I said ok can I get a cotton candy one instead and instantly they tell me they do not have the syrup for that either. I said that's fine and head to the next window to pay and I wanted to add a large fry to the order, immediately I was told I cannot cause they need to make new fries. I have came here before and the staff used to be much more polite, nowadays whenever I come they either come up with an excuse nowadays, not to mention sometimes my food is burnt, even the wait time is crazy.
When ordering at the drive through BIPOC Person gave me and boss attitude and was disrespectful when ordering.I love Dairy Queen , but not enough to go back to this one.
Drive through employee was extremely rude and unprofessional, while placing my drive through order she sounded bothered to have a customer arrive. My daughter and I decided to grab lunch at this location, we were very disappointed with the customer service. Waited for our food, she brought out in no bag, she forgot the sundae, ended up having to go inside to retrieve desert. Horrible experience due to her bad attitude.
Horrible food and service , food took 20 minutes to come out just for them to get it wrong and when I complained dumb manager did nothing but laugh . 0 stars if I could . Don’t waste money here
Guy at the intercom yells at everyone lol… but he at least enters orders in correctly. Ordered a #4 with no mustard, add mayo and an extra patty. Order placed and paid for 7:24pm, didn’t get out the parking lot till 7:58pm. Drove home burger make completely wrong, didn’t even have cheese. Tried to call to have it rectified and there was no answer, voicemail full. Drove up to the location to get my ordered remade, arrived at 8:06, left with remade order, as they kept my receipt, at 8:22pm. I get home and the burger is still wrong. I’m missing the extra patty I paid for. I’m not going through another hour of this, I’m just gonna eat the food. It sucks that nowadays everything is so expensive, and people are paid well to do a job, better than $8.25, you go to spend you hard earned money after a long day, and your order is always messed up. No values their customer let alone people nowadays. They just want you in and out. Just sucks…
Store says closes at 10 pm just left the drive through @9:30 pm. Not one employee in sight. Cars still in the parking lot. When we pulled up to the window everything was cleaned up and not one person to be seen. I will be calling a manager tomorrow and making a complaint.
Worst customer service they messed up on blizzard 2 twice want us to take the blizzard back so they can correct it manager had no customer service wats so ever!!!
Greed had diffrent colors...Many restaurants and fast-food establishments offer free water as a common courtesy and part of their service to customers. NOT THIS ONE!! not even sell you a cup for water! Shame on you owner making-forcing anyond who has to drink something with their food to but a soda cup (chapest $3) or $5 water bottle (cost them less than #1) SMH i will banned this place! Food ok service ok
I asked to speak to the manager because we ordered three combo meals and they do not accommodate to the request by not putting extra lettuce, extra tomatoes, and extra pickles on your hamburger. Next, I ordered one of the combo meals with a tea and the lady manager says that they don’t have tea. I then asked for a refund on my drink since I was told that there was no tea made and the lady manager refused to give me credit back and give me water as a side drink. I had already paid for my order and I did not receive any credit back on my order. This Dairy Queen is one of the worst locations in the San Antonio area. I do not recommend this location to eat at 2819 West Ave, San Antonio, TX, 78201.
Stopped at this Dairy Queen this morning at about 1030am. Ordered a Hunger buster combo. And was really disappointed with the quality of the food. 1. The fries were brown and over cooked. 2. The meat was over cooked. 3. Tomato slices were potato chip thin and dated and should have been thrown away. 4. Pickles did not taste like hamburger dill pickles at all. The quality of the food needs to be better then this, at least the buns were fresh.
An off dury employee was behind the couter talking to other employees. Hindering their work. He was talking to the cook so my birger took forever then it sat there until i asked if yhat was my burger. The off duty said " I dont know ,Im mot working right now . I then had to ask the cashier ," Is that my burger sitting there?"
The employee “Eddy” is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional and so is the female manager at this location. I placed an order I never received due to them closing early, and they refused to give me my food or refund the following day. When I put in the compliant through the app like they told me to, I received this email. Upon receiving that email I called them again and the manager and eddy were both extremely rude and disrespectful to me, refusing to give me my food or my refund. These are not people who should be getting paid for customer service let alone food service, I would not trust these people with my food. As someone who runs my own business, I would never hire people like this. They make it extremely apparent they don’t care about your customers. It makes your business look horrible, I won’t be coming back. Be careful who you hire next time, and especially who you promote.
Service was HORRIBLE! As soon as I drove up to the intercom the lady speaking was very unprofessional and sounded like I was a bother. Then was told to wait around the corner which I ended waiting 15 min just for a number 1. I went inside and my food was sitting on the counter for who knows how long and the lady (Tracy) who is the manager at this location looked at me and just said there’s your food and walked away. She needs to either be written up or trained properly to provide descent customer service. As long as she’s there I’m never going to that location again.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. EMPLOYEES ARE LITERALLY MISERABLE SINCE THEY DON'T SMILE. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. STARTED FIGHTING WITH ME OVER CHICKEN STRIPS. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WAITED AN HOUR JUST FOR THEM TO GIVE ME 2 LIL PIECES OF CHICKEN AND NOT REMAKE MY FOOD. THEY NEED TO FIX THIS PLACE. The photo is the comparison between the "strips" also my burritos are bad. Smeel like the meat went bad.
I went through the drive thru and when we got to the window we decided to cancel a strawberry kiwi slushy, the worker at the drive through(male) with long hair threw the window closed start led walking to the back with his hands in the air, Visibly upset at our decision went to get his manager (Melissa). This upset my gf and I, he then continued to have the worst attitude, we had to ask the price of the food, that seemed to bother him too. I have never seen such a terrible worker with a bad attitude. After the drive thru I came to talk to Melissa who was the manager. I explained how upset we were, she assured me she would address it with him. She was nice. Idk that kids name but the receipt says Sergio p. We didn't want the slushy and we didn't even get cheese on our chili cheese fries.
i just moved in and this restaurant is right on the corner we decided to give it a try we went through the drive thru there was no waiting inside or outside i ordered two kids combos 2 sundays and two banana splits 5 minutes later i got sundays and drinks about 10 minutes later they gave me the banana splits after about 13 more minutes they gave me the children's combos they took a long time and everything arrived melted they must train their workers first they must take out the food and then the ice cream I think I will not return the service is very slow and I was the only customer I don't want to imagine the service when there are more people
