For a bar in the middle of a small city between Austin and Round Rock, this place is kind of amazing. They have had a bunch of beer taps with both commercial and craft beers (many local) well before it was popular to do so. The staff is friendly and learns your name if you become a regular. I've become a regular because of the 2 volleyball courts in the back. I go on Monday nights when beers are only $3-$4. They sometimes have a food truck pull in, and on some nights they open a BBQ kitchen. The leagues are a lot of fun, even if you just show up to watch and drink with the friendlies.

A very cool place to hang out, watch the game and have a cold one with friends. It was my first time there and were greeted so well. Locals there were awesome too. Wish I had a place like this in my town but we'll be back for sure. 🍺

Second time there. First was to watch band named Eclipse, great showing. Second time there was to watch SkyRocket and they were outstanding. The only negative was some patrons were sneaking their smoking habits in the interior close to the stage plus it was real crowded inside.

Loved the atmosphere. Didn't have to park too far away even though it was a weekend. Great selection of beer on tap. We went primarily for a beer on tap that my fiance wanted (512...something. Can't remember which one.), but stayed so long because the music was AWESOME. It was a soul group but I can't remember their name either. Professional quality sound and plenty of room to dance if we wanted.

I was here for a large event and a live band. The sound system was clearly great when the dj spun but the live sound person stank. The back patio is multilevel and is very welcoming. Food trucks nearby and a very interesting parking situation.

Ever since the first time I stepped into Hanovers back in 2014, I felt at home. After the first visit, I was pleasantly surprised when I came back the second time and the whole bar staff remembered me and my name! It is one of my most favorite live music venues, and I have so many wonderful memories at this bar! It's where I met my husband, some of my best friends, and lyrics from my favorite Austin bands have touched my soul. I've hosted two shows at this wonderful venue, the staff is nothing but helpful, fun, and so sweet. Megan and Chris are amazing, and it's always a pleasure to see Ruby's smile when I visit, this place will always be home to me. Thank you for so many wonderful years and memories, I'll be back ASAP. Went on live band karaoke night. This place was a fun stop. The bartenders were attentive and nice. The bourbon selection was nice and the prices were good. The crowd was very supportive and the band was amazing 👏

I play in a sand volleyball league here on Tuesday and go to the open play on Sunday. The people are always friendly, the drinks aren't too expensive, and it's a great place to play some sand volleyball!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks were priced no different than anywhere else. The band we saw was LC*ROCKS. They were awesome. Great venue for a metal band. The acoustics were just right for LOUD MUSIC!!! ✌

I come her twice a year for my kids recitals for the local Out of This World Music School. Nice venue and great staff. BBQ place attached to the back with some great food. The family enjoys the picnic benches and the little kids enjoy the play yard.

It's amazing. Went there for my son's concert but had a blast. The food, atmosphere and the drinks were just amazing!!! Definitely planning another weekend.

This place has charm, history, and fun all baked into one. I’ve been playing sand volleyball here for years. Staff is second to none & they make you feel like fam! Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for indoor or outdoor entertainment.

We had a private party in the back it was great! The staff was very helpful and service was so good. The band playing was spot on , Rock Hard and went way out there way to make it special. Just can't say enough about the hanovers! And the back deck is great!

This bar is terrific because it doesn't relegate itself to the basic "come in and have a drink" mold. With all of great themed events, you can come every week and have a hello hellova good time! I came for Drag Queen Bingo--and let me say, this is completely worth investigating! The banter between the drag queen and bar patrons can be hysterical, and there are fun prizes to win.  The bar staff is great too! I strongly suggest checking out Hanover's some evening!

I come here to see bands like SCREAMALONGS live band Kareoke. Im sober but the bartenders still take care of me and don't act disgruntled about it. Wish I was athletic enough to play volleyball here too.

It's a classic neighborhood bar. It's also about community and family. A great core of regulars rally around, lookout and support each other. There's no other place like it. Is it heaven? No, It's Hanovers. And that's pretty damn close.

Hanovers is run and operated by some of the most friendly and wonderful people I've met. I've set shows up here and have listened to many a band. Every night was fantastic!! Great people, great service, great drinks, great food... Definitely one of my favorite places!!

Hanovers is a great place to play volleyball with friends and strangers alike! They have a competitive mode where people are in a line to play, very fun! I give this place a 5/5 stars because playing volleyball is so much fun here and the drinks are great! Also you can get Jello shots.

I played a show here, it was amazing! I liked how big it was, and the stage was pretty wide. I also liked the tables on the side of the stage. I went to the bar and the service was very nice. Overall, the feel was really great. I'm not really sure who was in charge of the lights or the sound. It might have been people that were hired, not the venue, but they kept playing music in between songs, and the lights made it hard to take pictures. Again, I'm not completely sure of who was in charge of that. I really liked playing here and I hope to play here again!

Didn't eat, but the atmosphere was great. Cool, old school place both inside and outside. It was very busy, with 2 bands and a pub crawl going on in town, but the service remained excellent all night. Recommend

This is a super fun place, they always seem to have a band or two playing rock or covers. Great sound system. The bar staff are quick and awesome! Been going here for years and it has never taken a turn for the worst, it has only gone up! Great outside area with two volleyball courts and they are lit for evening play. There is a food trailer in the back that has no idea on what portion control is, and that is all right with me! Great place to waist a Friday or Saturday night withe freinds drinking and laughing, and an even better place to spend a Sunday playing some Volleyball.

Absolutely perfect neighborhood bar. All of the staff are incredible!!! Surprisingly great sound for live music. All of their events (bands, drag bingo, crawfish boils, etc) are always super fun. If you're signing up for recreational volleyball, this is the place you want to do it at. It's a really good crowd and all levels of play. Plus, excellent drink specials. No need to go to downtown Austin. Hanover's is a wonderful mix of "night out" and cool dive without losing that little local bar charm.

Great coffee (esp. Mexican Vanilla & Mocha), a lot of space inside to study/work. Only downside is that there’s not a lot of food options if you get hungry. I got the hummus cup, but it was very small.

I saw a friend play here and had a great time. The bar looked pretty straight forward, but I didn't have any drinks this visit. I really dug the large outdoor space. I felt socially distanced and comfortable. They have a huge volleyball area for you sporty types.

Live sports bar in Pflugerville. The have 2 volleyball courts out back and lots if volleyball teams. They also have an inside area that is very dark, this area has a dance floor. They have many activities like crawfish boils and drag queen bingo. This place us very gay friendly. The only downside is that you have to wait in line to order a drink. I am not sure if they regularly serve food.

Y’all need to come here. If your partner is an IPA snob their Pilsner game is strong enough you won’t need an uber. The vibe is “aesthetic farmhouse glam meets outlaw.” The food truck is fast, kind, and delicious. I had the seltzer flight and it took me from classy Golden Girls to Naive college frosh, Blue Margarita to Green Apple. Total find after band UIL. Enjoy folks!

This fits the definition of a small town dive bar in the best possible way! The drinks are strong, the beer is cold, and the staff are the best. No joke, the employees here are always friendly and helpful. This place has drag bingo on Monday, sand volleyball courts in the back, and zumba classes. You can catch the games on the TVs or listen to the numerous bands that play here. Great place!

Met my friends and coworkers from Luminary Life here tonight. We were all there to see the band Luv Guns . Band was amazing, service was spot on, AND they have DART BOARDS! I will go back soon to review them soon. This place is in Pflugerville but reminds me of Austin in the late 80’s. Well done.

So we had a celebration for my cousin Mickey (Cancer sucks) this past Sunday. we came from El Paso Texas,Colorado and different other states, in glad I was able to attend, the people here at Hanovers were great! great service great location and the bands that played were great! now I know why my cousin doesn't want to come back home(El Paso) I enjoyed my time at this Draught Haus and will be back to visit in the near future. Great place to go, listen to some good music. Visit with others, watch a game when they're on yet full listen to bands playing. Order some great drinks. Bartenders are good and make some quenching drinks! We'll go back even if it's about an hour away!

Friendly bar staff, great music and good BBQ (a little overpriced). All round a fabulous venue that won't break the bank! Oh and they now accept TabbedOut, so you can review your tab before paying electronically on your phone. BONUS!

Great food at Ganos. Fun divey vibe and good lawn games. Their craft beer tap and soda gun always seem old so I reccomend sticking to canned beer or very popular, big-brand beers or shots. They keep a regular line-up of bands with covers. This place is very family friendly until dark. Good choice if you're in the neighborhood!

This review is for Ganos Smokehouse behind the bar...Not bad, not awesome though. The pork ribs were by far the best of the meats, incredibly tender and peppery. Smoked turkey and pork loin were tasty. The brisket was sadly inedible. It was tough even though it was mostly fat... How is that even possible!? The pulled pork sandwich would have been better if the bun wasn't dry. The home fries were delicious. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Had a fun time here and I bet this place gets jamming on the weekends during summer. A huge backyard with 2 full sized volleyball courts and plenty of covered seating, pretty good barbecue. Drinks are a bit pricey but comparable to anywhere else in the Austin area from what I've found. Live music on weekends, passable sound system but could use a bit more 'oomph' considering it caters to a more rock crowd. Worth a second visit for sure.

Good venue for a night out and lots of room to invite a big crowd of friends for inside or out... I recently made it my stop to come and see a band I was interested in. Seems there were about two birthday parties (adults of course) and a "meet up" group.. not sure if it was due to the band playing or just the crowd for a Friday night, but the average age was mostly older. A few thirty somethings, a few mid forties, and a majority were fifty+... as noted, it could have been from the cover band, and it seemed to be a lot of locals and friends.. so it wasn't an every changing crowd you could say. Overall, nice place to get a drink at and maybe meet someone when a band you'd like to see if here, but for a "hey let's go to..." night, I am not sure (unless you're a local). Good atmosphere, ample room, different inside and outside spaces for your group, playground for kids, washer pits, a basic dart board, and lots of outside seating....

Was the A/C broken? Went on a Sunday night. It was so hot in there. Restrooms could use some cleaning. All the tables were sticky and needed to be wiped down. I know this place is a "bar" but they've been there for decades in downtown P-ville. I would expect more from a place like that. It felt more like a roadside bar where you're left to fend for yourself, bussing your own tables and getting water from an orange igloo.

Nice Bar. Solid standard beer selection. Unfortunately I didn't get to try their BBQ yes, but it is on the list. Went for live music which was very good. Band had a lot of energy and did a really good show.

Me and my wife enjoy going on Friday nights. Great live music. We love to hear suede lc rocks and video vamp They all are great. Big patio and cold drinks. Great service you must go to enjoy.

Went here last night (Monday night) for a beach volleyball league. The Volleyball was fun, courts are well maintained, and the Bar has a great selection of beers. The only downside was that the kitchens were closed. Unlike the website which shows a weekend menu and a weekday menu, the kitchen is apparently only open on the weekends. However they are happy to let you order/bring food in from other establishments in the area when their own kitchen is closed.

It's a fun place and people were definitely having a good time. Suede was playing that night. I don't know if it is always the case when Hanovers has live music, or it was because of Suede, but EVERY table was reserved (which I heard you have to do on Facebook, I'm not sure how far in advance). So, if you don't want to stand the whole night, reserve a table!

Great place. Went to see our new favorite band...Black Heart Saints...and were pleasantly surprised by The Boleys. Hanovers is a quaint atmosphere with a great bar. Didn't try the food but I hear its great.

Old school local bar vibe that I like. Bartenders are great. Good beers on tap and good liquor selection. Overall a good place to grab a few drinks. A bit dark inside but I like that especially on a hit summer day. Also have a large deck and outdoor space.

Fun environment, we were there for the volleyball and had a blast celebrating our friends birthday. To top it off, I'm pregnant and only drank alcohol free drinks that were delicious! Great live music at the end of our time here. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Great place for sand volleyball in Austin. They've got 2 courts and a lot of league events. Very enjoyable place. The bartenders are grest. They have concerts and shows. Everyone is nice. Only thing is they have 1 taco truck that's only open 1/2 the time. So food it hit-or-miss miss.

Other than the doorway acting like he has never seen a male minority in this bar the place was cool, the bands were great " Whole Lotta lead " and "Think Lizzy". Pork sandwich was awesome. I'd go again 😜

4 stars for the barbeque joint in the back. Good barbeque and sides. The steak sandwich and ribs were top notch. 2 stars for the rest of the place. The volley ball courts are a nice appeal but the rest of the place is run down. The location and back patio has a lot of potential but by the looks of it the owner has no desire to put money back into the business.

SHEDANCE Night: Pros: Free entry, good size dance floor, food trucks, nice people. Cons: MUSIC; it’s not great at all. If you are driving a distance from Austin or surrounding areas for an LGBTQ evening and prefer more modern music/hip hop/pop and actual new dance music this will not be the place to come. The DJ plays Country, 70s, 80s and 90s music all night. So they are definitely only catering to a specific crowd.

They were having three bands play, so reserved a table for $40. We got there at 8:00 and there were empty unreserved tables, so we could have saved that $40. The first band to play was poor, the next one slightly better, but still not very good. The atmosphere was good, people enjoying themselves, no trouble, no obnoxious behavior. It was worth the visit, except for the $40 to reserve a table. Oh yeah, and A/C was good, which I normally wouldn't mention, but we had just eaten at a restaurant whose A/C wasn't working and the inside temp was 87, so we really appreciated the Hanovers A/C. :)

Nice small venue to watch live music. Good beer selections and nice bartenders. Good place to relax and hang out with friends. Only thing I didn't like was that when you reserve a table for performances, the cover charge is not included. The little girl/woman at the front door was not very nice or understanding when asked questions prior to the Rock Hard show.

Decent spot for live music, but it’s not without quirks. The venue is on the smaller side for live acts, it’s intimate, but it gets cramped fast. Sound was solid though. The bar itself is huge, which makes it even more confusing that they only serve drinks from one station. You’ll spend a good chunk of your night standing in a slow-moving line wondering why half the bar staff is MIA. No food inside, just a couple food trucks out back, and they weren’t anything to write home about. If you come, come for the music and expect some logistical weirdness.

I’m not rating any higher because the bartender saw me waiting and ignored me for a long time when he wasn’t helping anyone else. And I was the only person at the bar at that moment! I’ve never had such a low service in my life. It was a guy on the Brazilian Halloween party. For that alone I wouldn’t go back to this place unless a dear friend was celebrating something there. The place isn’t beautiful or Sophisticated neither. It’s more like a dive bar with live music type of place. It reminded me of the Sahara.

Mostly a decent live music bar. Kinda small inside with an expansive outdoor area out back. No table service to speak of, bartenders were handling everything. Did get food, but drinks were fine, but with a good wait time at the bar, wait for order taking, drink making, and paying. Just felt like if this place were packed, you might not be able to get served. Street parking only and it fills very fast.

Atmosphere - seemed like a cool place to hang out. Food - BBQ wasn't very good and was over priced. Obviously inexperienced to smoking meat. The guy who was running the shop didn't wear gloves or wash his hands. Pickled cabbage on the BBQ was a joke and pulled pork was dry.

The beers might be good, but the mixed drinks suck. I ordered a margarita and it was like drinking watered down margarita mix with no alcohol. I even added a shot of amaretto and it did not help. My friend ordered a blue Hawaiian and had to go back to put more liquor in it..... They should just stick to shots and beers! Bands and crowd were great on the other hand.

No place to sit. Half the tables were "RSVP" but only had 15 people in the bar taking up the only seats available. Some regulars were rude. I had one beer and it was enough. It was skunky, don't know if the lines haven't been cleaned or of the keg was old. First and last time here

Tried to look up information about the bar prior to going and the website is blank. Assumed that with such a "wonderful outdoor seating area" they would allow dogs. Brought our dog and sad to see on the door that they don't. First place I've ever seen with such a great outdoor area that doesn't allow dogs. Suggestion: fix your website and advertise on Facebook that man's best friend isn't welcome
