Came here with an ex for dinner. He got too buzzed and migrated to other people at nearby tables and gradually forgot that I was there. So I watched an entire football game by myself with my tilapia dinner. The bartenders and waiters were amazed by my patience and were very attentive lol. Great service. If it weren't for my ex, the staff and their food kept me there. Oh man, the food there is amazing.... Will be back soon! But not with my ex this time LOL

Great bar food, great beer selection and great staff. Came in to watch the 2nd half of a soccer match. Service was quick and attentive, volume on the TV's was loud but not annoying my wife. Perfect spot to catch a game and still hangout with friends.

Went to have lunch and walked in to a 60th birthday party. Live band was awesome. Service was great. We had carnitas nachos that were tasty. Park in the back or on a side street. Thanks Grunions for making us feel welcome.

Just discussing a trip 7 years ago from Australia this bar came up! Fantastic experience the lost travelers came across. Friendly ppl and fun . Long time coming but thanks guys! Top spot

Came here for happy hour and to watch football. The drinks were strong and the servings were filling. It feel like a neighborhood bar, which is rare in LA. I'll definitely be back here again for another happy hour.

I wish I lived closer so I could visit here more often. Even though our visits are rare, the bar tender (owner?) always remembers us & our previous conversations. The service is great, even when they're busy, & the food really surprised me... outstanding kitchen for what is basically a divey sports bar. They also have plenty of TVs to watch all sports, including the elusive Dodger games.

Diverse selection of beers on tap. Thai Chicken Sandwich was excellent -- will definitely be ordering it again! No problems at all accommodating our small group. 3/3/23 Additional beer diversity -- added 8 more taps! Other outstanding menu choices are Fish and Chips, Pastrami Sandwich, and Baja Cheesesteak Sandwich.

So far I love this place! My friend had an appointment down the street. I haven't eaten the food yet but the atmosphere is nice and the people are friendly! The prices are good and they have a great looking menu!

Just stopped in to unwind after flying back from South East Asia. Very nice place. Arrived after the kitchen had closed. Still, we enjoyed the chips and salsa and the drinks. It was perfect.

This place is cool and the food is yummy!! They don’t skimp out on serving size either. I got the 1/2 buffalo wings, cheese fries, and celery and carrots. Cools vibes inside as well, lots of regulars! I’ll be back :)

She described several menu items for me. I ended up choosing the Hickory Burger. The burger was delicious. Classic quarter pounder with fresh lettuce, pickles, tomatoes - topped with onion rings and barbecue sauce. No complaints from me.

Friendly and helpful staff, lots of places to sit inside or outside. For veg options, they have a veggie patty that you can sub in any burger.

I've got a lot of years under my belt, been to many places that wanted to be like Grunions, they just couldn't pull it off. Really enjoyed my lunch. Food was good. Unfortunately there was only 1 server and 1 cook during lunchtime. It took 48 minutes to get our food. OK if you don't have to be somewhere.

I can't fairly rate the service because they are so understaffed the staff that is there work there tails off they really try hard but it's painfully slow to get anything... It's too bad because it's a nice setup with plenty of TVs and room to eat and drink. Just no one to bring you the food and drink

Nice bar. Fish and Chips was pretty good. It was definitely not factory made fish pieces as they were oddly shaped and sized. Could have been made into smaller pieces though for a more optimal ratio of breading to fish (for my taste). If you like big chunky pieces of fish, you will love it.

Owner and his staff is awesome. Above average craft beer menu compared to similar bars in the South Bay.

Great place to catch a game. They have over 20 tvs spread throughout the bar for easy viewing. Food was good, classic bar foods. We got a dinner salad, chicken wings and fish and chips.

Nice sports bar with average food. Service was below average with all of our party waiting a long time for orders and check, despite asking multiple times. Might return but wouldn't have high expectations.

Service took soooo long. Food was no good. Server didn't seem to care, but she did appear to be the only one. Came on a Tuesday night. The place wasn't busy, but can see how it would be hard to be the server and bar tender for the whole place.

Ughhh…..we’ve been coming here for years but it has completely gone downhill. Like who runs this place???? The bartenders were overwhelmed and drunk. No one waiting on the tables. The place was an absolute mess. Such a bummer but we will never go back.

Every time I’ve gone in to grunions it’s been pretty bad but this last time did it for me. The bartender seemed too drunk to function. I tried asking her for a drink about 5 times and she would nod at me, then go sit at tables with other people and hang out. The very nice busser was the only one who took my drink order . It’s crazy how this place is still open. I’m all about dive bars but this place is the worst I’ve been to ..

HORRIBLE service, went in and the bartender ignored me and my partner. We ended up having to order food through the bar back. We politely asked for a drink three different times and she continued to ignore us. We were completely sober upon arrival. She was a younger white bartender with dark hair. At one point even gave us her pointer finger to WAIT. Other white people got served multiple times after us, maybe because my partner is black.

I went there twice in one month and on each occasion they submitted a charge to my credit card that was $.90 more than what i wrote on my receipt, which i know was correct because i know the percentage of tip i always use. I called and spoke to the owner, Robert who took all the info and said he'd get back to me, which he never did. they would rather lose a customer than give up $1.80.

My girlfriend and I went to grunions on Thursday and we sat right at the bar, and although there were two bartenders, we sat there for 30 minutes, and nobody even acknowledged us. One server was just talking to some friends on the side of the bar, the whole time, and one girl who was clearly the bartender was almost never behind the bar, not sure what she was doing, but she was just serving some other locals who had been there for a long time and never made eye contact never came over to us once. 30 minutes is a very long time to sit at a bar and not get acknowledged on a quiet weekday night.

Waited over 20 minutes after getting 2 sodas. No one came to take the food order. Went up to the bar to pay for the drinks then I'm asked if we want to order. Upon asking for a manager, I was told there wasn't one and she was the only one working. No one sitting at the bar had to wait to get their drinks poured. She had a bad attitude.
