I honestly had given up on McDonald's. Their prices rival that of a sit down restaurant and they are usually packed. But the McDonald's app is where it's at. I get a deal or free food every time I go to McDonald's now. It is once again affordable. I also love the added convenience of ordering on the app and getting it dropped off at my car. The employees at this location are very sweet as well!

Haven't eaten inside a McDonald's in years, and this one was nice. The staff is really nice and friendly. The food was really good. A few areas were dirty, like spilled soda near the soda machine, but I did see one of the girls cleaning when we were about to leave. Overall, I enjoyed my meal in this McDonald's.

5.7.22 3pm. We came on a Saturday, there was one or two people inside, fast service and friendly staff. Food was really Good!! I order a 4c, it had good amount of lettuce and 2 tomatoes slices. Yummy!! Also, kids found a place to entertain themselves 👍🏼👍🏼🙌🏼 Lots of parking spaces. And these 🪑 stools, great idea 👌🏼 Thank you! We liked this McD!!

It's a good place

My previous review of this McDonalds stated it was always dead and unfriendly. Oddly enough, since they have gone to the Kiosk ordering, things are different. I look so forward to going in and picking up my food. It seems like the staff is more relaxed and can focus on service. I never dreamed the Kiosk would have that effect. I rated them three stars before. Kudos Marina Reservation Rd. McDonalds! Keep it up!

I like the new honey glazed chicken. Fish sandwich is good but very over priced. As well as the fries. No need for a cardboard box. I'm sure it costs more to use. They could wrap the sandwich in paper like the burgers. That would be just fine. All in all though McDonald's is still an old favorite.

Been going here since a kid they don't have the play place any more but over all it's a nice fast food place I don't recommend it all the time but it's a good place if u want to have good service and fast food .

Look, it's a McDonalds. You know what to expect, and what's gonna happen in the can later. That being said, what sets all the various fast food places apart is the staff. This particular location is recently (as of this writing) renovated, so it's nice and clean. It's the staff here that stands out. Some fast food places, you really get the feeling they're just waiting for an excuse to spit on your food. But not here! The folks here are genuinely courteous, polite and way, way, way helpful. So fear not for abnormal additives in your food. Good people, doing a good job in a tough industry. So stop in, get your quarter pounder on, and enjoy decent food.

The prices are good the food is sometimes good and hot depends on how you order I like to eat in cause it stays warmer but overall I like McDonald's they never disappoint on a budget. My favorite is their big Mac and milkshakes.

The restaurant and bathrooms were decently clean. I didn't like being greeted at the door and immediately told my an employee they could take my order at one of the kiosks. I'm the type of person that doesn't know exactly what I want when I walk in and look at the menu board for a bit before (usually) walking up to the register. However, she as very polite when I told her I'd be a minute before ordering and told me to ask if I needed any help.

They do their best. Since the building has been refurbished it looks very clean. The staff is mostly polite and they are as quick with orders as any other on the Monterey Peninsula. This McDonald's manager actually works the drive through window, makes drinks, cooks. I have to give her all the credit for how the restaurant presents itself.

I love their cheese burger and fish burger. I was there a few days ago. The tables were not wiped. I wanted to dine in, but because of unclean tables, I had to order carry out. I hope that they clean the tables more frequently.

$1.41 for a large coffee. Why would I pay double at Starbucks? As far as service, atmosphere, and so on ... it's a McDonald's. I'm not big on the food at any location so I can't say much about this one in particular. This one appears safe and clean so no complaints.

We got the new BTS meal with the new sauces and a pink lemonade slush. The person taking our order struggled a bit and we got two sprites rather than two things of sauce that we asked for. The BTS sauces were good.

I have lived in Marina for 2 years and this was the first time I have been in side. I'm not a big fan of McDonald's. When I as parking my car there was a employee smoking within 25 feet of the door. When I went inside the restaurant​ the floor was super dirty. When I sat down at the table was also dirty.

This is a normal McDonalds experience. It is busy at rush hour as should be expected. The nice thing here is that there is good access to the road. Also the greater Monterey area is always cool and smells fresh. There is a market nearby which makes this a good spot to grab coffee before strolling the stands.

I can't really comment about the food. It's McDonald's. It is what it is. What keeps me from going there is the drive-thru is usually backed up and I'm just too impatient to wait behind 10 cars. The wait times at the Burger King (EDIT 8/22 THE MARINA BURGER KING IS CLOSED FOR GOOD) or Jack in the Box drive-thrus are more tolerable.

The parking lot is not designed well for traffic. Be careful driving into the plaza and pay close attention to drivers backing up.

The service was ok. The person at the drive thru appeared tired. Perhaps it was near the end of her shift. Lately McDonalds taste like cardboard with ketchup and salt. I might be to OLD for their food.

The crew is what gets all the 🌟 🌟 🌟. The remodel is drab. This was the Disco maccas in the 80s. Now it looks like the one in the Star Center in Salas. They run out of things like soft serve or burritos. But the workers are the best.

It's an old McDonald's and not as nice as the recently updated one in Monterey by the beach. But as most McDonald's produce similar quality I don't have anything to complain about. I haven't had a bad experience there, but neither do I notice anything great

sometimes you get a long line but they're pretty good Making it go fast... but I my lady visit I was quite disappointed when I why they the drive thru and when I was paying I asked her to please add a French fry to my order and the girl did she couldn't I had to go back around, I couldn't believe her there was only one other car behind me and I've never been told at any restaurant when trying to bring them in more money...???

Every experience here has had issues with either poor customer service, getting our order incorrectly, or wait time in the drive thru. Waiting isn't a huge issue, but incorrect or incomplete orders and poor customer service is. Food is warm or cold and rarely served hot and fresh. Sucks that it is the one close to home.

Update Jan 2025: Service is now provided almost exclusively via using kiosk. Menu is no longer displayed at the cashier. Sometimes kiosks do not print out receipts, so be sure to remember your order number. This may be a bit tedious and inconvenient for some customers. Also, fountain drinks have been permanently closed. Having said that, the cleanliness of the dining hall and restrooms have improved since my last review. Also, the food is usually served faster and fresher. Original review: Average McDonald's conveniently located. Usually, service is fast and most times their ice cream machine actually works! I usually get drive-thru but dine-in areas are okay. They have self-service screens too. Place may benefit with frequent table/floor cleaning. Other than that, place is good.

This place is slow. I always use the drive through. I have been living in Marina for over 10 years and every time I come here to get food this place takes up to half an hour to serve any amount of food you order. Breakfast or lunch. I advise everyone to plan ahead. Especially if you are trying to grab a quick snack for work. 20 minute wait time here is very common. Food is normal. Sometimes my sandwiches are upside down so when you take them they fall out into the bag. Sometimes fries are upside down. Sometimes they put too much sauce on one side of the thing so when you bite down squirts out the other end lol.

We were visiting from out of town and the workers were hard to understand and extremely frustrated when asked to repeat themselves or explain the directions of where to park to wait for our large order. It made for a very frustrating experience.

Going down hill just like all the other McDonald's in the nation. Long lines, I cashier taking orders 8-10 min per customer and cold food. Looks are not deceiving, you can read these dead beat employees like a Dr Seus book. They just don't care. I see it everywhere in America from coast to coast. It's sad that the service and Quality is deteriorating at a fast pace. Many McDonald's has a army of illegal immigrants and they still can't function.

Costumer service is poorly sorry to say but employees always have an attitude always missing up my order. I came in earlier today and I did not felt welcome the lady was rude and right when I was gonna pay I asked if I can add something in and she rolled her eyes and said “what”

Felt pretty ill after the last visit. The chicken strips were a bit tough and the burger literally soaked grease all the way throigh the bag and onto my jeans. If the fries are fresh, they're amazing. Some of the workers I have gotten to know over the years and they're good workers. Honestly, McDonald's just doesn't set a very high bar in general.

Went through drive thru , ordered 2 plain hamburgers ,2 cheese burgers, 20 piece nuggets pretty simple oreder.Told them I wanted plain hamburgers just the patties and buns. Got to the window,paid for my order. As I was driving off something told me to check my order.(always check your oder at this location, and keep your receipt)Checked the nuggets, cheese burgers and plain burgers. Opened the burgers and found them pattyless. I chuckled and went inside. It took 5 minutes just to try to get any employees attention. I finally stepped to the desk and got an employees attention. I told her the situation and thought I'd get the issue corrected quickly. The 2 employees started arguing back and forth in Spanish about what plain meant. Arguing in Spanish that that's what I ordered, just the buns. Now luckily I do speak Spanish and I'm hearing this and shaking my head. The customers that over heard my situation behind me started commenting that it was poor customer service. I got tired of the arguing so in Spanish i told them that I ordered two plain hamburgers with patties not just the buns. I looked at my receipt and got charged for the hamburgers not buns. These two employees were very unprofessional. So after the employee made like 3 or 4 other orders my two plain hamburgers finally came out. If this is kind the kind of service I'm receiving for $20 an hour, maybe it's time for Mcdonalds to close up shop. This location definitely needs an overhaul.

Very frustrated and disappointed with today's service seems like its getting worse! Not only did I get old food AGAIN!! old brown soggy fries, beef patties from the quarter pounder was barely warm and I was missing a 10 piece chicken nugget box, Come on guys get it together!! I usually like going to this mcdonald's but when they gave me my food the young lady didn't want to hear that she had given me the wrong order. It's not the first time. Also our food was thrown in the bag, my fries fell everywhere and the lettuce from one of the burger's feel out everywhere as well.

Unfortunately, no indoor seating still. Can't use kiosks. They frequently screw up orders, and can't even get an iced tea correct. I ask for unsweetened ice tea, extra ice, and 3 or 4 regular sugars inside, and am often given sweet tea instead, which must be twice as much sugar, and tastes like thin syrup. Sandwich orders are also frequently not served the way they were asked for. This is a perfect example why fast food employees are only worth $7- $8 an hour. Go In and Out Burger.

Chicken was clear instead of white! That is a dangerous amount of uncooked. Do NOT buy anything that goes into the fryer here! Also, not a big deal, but there was WAY too much spicy sauce, literally dripping out of the sealed food wrapper. Had to spend 10 minutes using napkins to reduce the sauce before taking a bite into a raw chicken patty.

the manager lady is always rude as helllll.. they always are forgetting something or doing something wrong, then act like we did something wrong. the food seems to be fine most times when they DO get it right. but definitely don't appreciate the attitude from the lady.

Missing a double burger!!! Is it not bad enough that we have to pull over and wait for a long time in a parking spot when we order drive-rhru? I ordered five burgers, 20 nuggets and five fries and 5 drinks. They asked me to pull to wait in a parking space because my food wasn't ready. They come out with two bags. I drive home and discover my burger missing. All I can say is if you must eat here order inside so you can check your order in front of them at the counter. They short you food and take forever!

I asked for two orange juices with my breakfast for me and my kid. Ordered one separately and one that came with a combo meal. The teenage boy at the window decided to read me the riot act when I showed him my receipt when he showed me the ticket with one orange juice, really only proving they messed up. Ended up just giving my breakfast to a homeless person outside. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had with this location but it is the last. I’m done with y’all lol.

First the cashier cashed out the wrong order. Then they corrected my order. I had ordered a double qtr cheese meal. Charged me for the double and still gave me a single. Did not notice till I got home. Disappointed with the service today.

They recently raised their prices so high, it is time to say goodbye Mcdonald's. No soda refils No place to sit down and eat your food since only the drive thru is open. The play area has been removed and will not be replaced. Horrible

Today if April 22nd 2019. Now that the remodel is complete, I am revising my original posting. Stars are now turned down to One. Because of the new kiosks being used. You must order electronically, and if you don't, you are greeted at the counter with distain. On my first visit back, I walked up to the counter to order a coffee, I was the only customer in the lobby, I was asked to return to the kiosk and place my order. But you still pay at counter...so after stretching my neck looking for hostess, she appears from the back with a scoul on her face, is visible annoyed, so at that point I made it clear I was not returning, with that she turned and engaged her phone, WOW, McDonald's remodels personalities too??? Drop the attitude your not in the driver's seat!!! Management should do more front counter aka hospitality training or fire those just there to collect a pay check. Needless to say, I moved my business to Marina Donuts where you are at least greeted with a welcome regardless of bad day or not... Morning. Staff is great... haven't been here during day.

Such a slow McDonald's. Always understaffed. The walk up business is always ignored completely. Seriously I find it difficult to understand how this is called a McDonald's. Truly, the owner of this place should be spoken to about how much this place is a disgrace to the franchise.

Poorly managed. After waiting over 30min in the Slowest moving drive thru line they closed the dining area at 9:30 half an hour earlier than the 10pm time posted, they put very little hot fudge sauce on their Ice Cream Sundae.

McDonald's in soledad California has been just terrible lately. When I pulled up the speaker at least four times no one greets me or says hello. You have to say hello hello to get their attention and then they finally asked you what you like. Service is slow and sometimes they get it wrong. Most fast food places I've gone through answer right away when you pull up to the speaker. It just seems really rude and arrogant to just stand there and wait until the customer has to beg to get waited on. I hope management looks into this most McDonald's are really great and favorite comfort zone place to eat

The one on N.Main has crappy service. It is RARE day when they actually get our order correct!!!! We AWLAYS have to double check it, then have them FIX IT!! Wendy's should thank them...as we STOPPED going there and now give Wendy's our business.

Ok, everyone that I know knows that McDonald's hardly changes!! The most consistent institute on the planet!! Just my lunch, being hangry and needing to use the john, I visit the only McDonald's that doesn't have walk up??? (Mindful that the term: getting screwed at the drive thru holds true for me) I had to wait in a long line and hold it. And low and behold!! They messed up my order!! Damm it!!

All I wanted was a Quarterpounder—NO CHEESE! So I drive home, sit down, and open the little box. What do I find? A Quarterpounder WITH cheese! Not only that, but the edges of the bun were all tough, like bread gets when it’s been microwaved. And the final straw? NO onions. I won’t ever go back there.

It seems like McD in this area don't participate in the corporate rewards promotions or even have the cheaper options on their app or dollar menu. I am glad burger king and Jack in the box both have great affordable app choices and deals. McD in this area are not an affordable option.

Out of three people 1 was really kind. I ordered on mobile app. It took almost 40 minutes. When I went inside to check on order part of it was on counter. When I finally got the food my fries were COLD AND FOOD LUKE WARM! not only was Frappe melted it wasn't correct. When I mentioned my fries were cold and food was luke warm. Only fries were remade. I had to go back inside and have them remake the whole order. You'd think everything would be okay. Nope fries were not fresh. At that point I just left. Never will I go here again. I tried my luck and basically the same experience!

This place always gets my order wrong and the managers are RUDE..and their fries are almost always room temperature, AT BEST! I wouod suggest to drive around and find someplace different to eat. This McDonald's in Marina just is not up there with the others.

Black male named Skir in the drive thru window is rude. Please retrain or fire him because he is bad for business. He doesn’t actively listen when taking orders and was heard laughing and joking with another coworker when my order was being placed. He also responded as if I was contaminated when he had to give me my change and receipt. Maybe he should be in the kitchen making burgers and not actually interacting with paying customers because he isn’t fit for drive thru. Please replace him ot teach him what customer service is supposed to be.

DO NOT COME HERE My grandmother came in here and ordered a Sausage Egg Biscuit and she asked to change the coffee that came with the meal to Hot Chocolate, but they explained that if she changed it, she would be charged an additional $2.55. So she asked to just remove the coffee completely and then made another order of Hot Chocolate separately. They ended up charging her the additional $2.55 anyways which added up to a total of $10.09. When she checked her order, the “hot chocolate” was actually just hot water and whipped cream and they gave her a McChicken Biscuit instead of a Sausage Egg Biscuit but still charged her the price of the Sausage Egg Biscuit anyways. Afterwards, she came back in and tried to ask for her money back, but they ignored her. So I came in and ordered the exact same thing and they charged me half the price. They were so generous, that they even took a couple cents off my order. Do NOT come here, they have horrible service and scammed a poor old lady.

Every single time we go here to this location they manage to mess up an order. Even when ordering online or via the computer system it's like the people in the back making the orders do not care. Please hire better people.

rude betches. throws food to table and then tells me get up and get my drinks and when I go they're not even ready and someone who was running orders outside had to do them and then they told him he shouldn't have to do that but had the old reffing ugly betch got them ready like she said I wouldn't have had to ask the kid. and to top it all off the coffee wasn't even full and gave it to me half full and they got my order wrong.

I've placed mobile orders at this location many times. Incredibly inconsistent. Old fries, oily nuggets, poor quality burgers. Don't get me wrong, when you go to fast food, you expect lower quality than a restaurant, but all my experiences were awful.

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to the employees are the rudest and the food is so salty and always old tasting they never have the ice cream machine working so can never order ice cream cones or milkshake, the sweet tea is more like sugar with a hint of colored water to look like tea and the waiting time to order is usually crazy long not to mention every time you order in drivethu after every single thing you say they ask is that it, I'm serious after everything you say they will ask you is that it? Very rarely do I and my family go here because every time we do they manage to mess up even the simplest orders. It’s to the point I feel that they just don’t care. Today ordered online saying no mayo on a crispy chicken, ended up with extra mayo. Kid meal extra pickles , only got one. Is it to much to pay for a service and expect the service you pay for??

I don't usually give bad reviews, but this was an exceptionally slow experience. I ordered at 6:01 pm, granted it was a fairly large order, but not 20 minutes worth. We waited 20 minutes for our food, and when we finally got it, it was wrong, had the wrong fry orders, almost no BBQ sauce for 60 nuggets, and they dropped my food and thought it was okay to just put it in a different bag. Seriously?!

If there could be more ruder people than what we experienced from this, I've never seen before. Service was horrible. Manager is inept at handling situations. The one saving grace was the young lady who gave our food. Went out of her way to help. We're all coming out of this pandemic, but it doesn't mean you have to be rude to your customers. Oh, and why did we suffer through it? Because once you're in the drive through (only way allowed to order food), you can't get out of line. I blame such poor service on the manager.

Normally not a bad place. Lately service hasn't been great. Placed an order tonight on the mobile app for pick up indoors. Well, they closed the dining area an hour earlier than the time posted on the door (said 8pm on Saturdays, it was 7pm) I stood outside for over ten minutes as my order sat on the counter. No one came to the door even though I rang the doorbell and was knocking. Two staff looked up at me, then went back to work and ignored me. Really frustrating to miss my meal, I work nearby and only wanted a burger on my break. I ended up leaving without my food, which as mentioned was sitting on the counter, somebody just needed to bring it out. So I didn't get to eat and was late coming back to work. Mmm Mmmm I'm lovin' it!

I avoid your business all around, but you definitely do have some of the cleanest restrooms. So I use you for that. You're really no good to society

Used to eat here all the time, then started noticing the food wasn't cooked as well and the wait times were too long. A few months later and I decided to give the place another try. I went through the drive through and after sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes I went in and got a refund, which I had to wait another ten minutes for. No apology no nothing. Will not be going back ever. If you are hungry for fast food, avoid this McDonalds.

Honestly McDonald in Marina California need to speak to there evening shift leader and manager, they both worry about chatting with the employees while customer wait for there food and still hold the food in hand to ragin bait a customer in getting upset for a laughter after they leave. They need to be retrained or new leader and manager to reinsurer that the customer has great customer services and is not waiting around especially when they order a head of time and still have to wait for the food like if they were walk in. No point in order by the app of the customer still has to wait and there are still slow with customer to still have them waiting. It’s bad for the McDonald imagine, the owner of this McDonald and in over all for the rest of the staff that getting include when they actually do care and put that effort. If McDonald view there security cameras they will see what I mean. In not the first time it’s happen to me but after I asked the Mexican shift or manger with the black spots under his eyes he just turn around walk away and just said he was waiting for the frying but just had the holding in his hand 12/26 around 720-730pm.
