This place was packed on 14 feb. Loved everything. got vegetarian salad. Ordered chicken mango avocado salad but substituted chicken with quinoa. Loved itt
Love Lane kitchen was a great find during our summer Southold getaway. Food is delicious, the outdoor space is big enough and - given Covid life at that time - they packed each meal individually in closed containers, so that there is no contamination or risk. Special shout out to the lobster roll, one of the biggest I have ever had. Friendly staff, incredibly easy to find a parking spot on the street, we ended up going to Love Lane more than once and our kids loved it too. Mainly because of their French toast 🙂
Best Hangar Steak in Long Island! I will always come here from now on if I am nearby.
Great food, great price for the North fork , very good service. Smaller place with limited seating. Could have a wait time when it is towards the weekend.
Such a gem! The service was great and the food was fantastic. The goat cheese panini was so delicious and unique. The matcha was very tasty and the charm of this space was just what we needed for a relaxing day. Will return soon!
Really great little breakfast spot, food was great, service was incredible! We had a young guy named Ryan, really payed attention to the details and I really appreciate that as a first timer with kids. Bringing my parents next time!
One of my favorite restaurants in the North Fork!!! Always fresh and delicious!!! The staff is a 10!!!
We love it here! They have a community table but get pretty busy during peak hours…but the food is amazing! They have cute drinks and non alcoholic choices. The breakfast is out of this world. I still think about the marinated steak and eggs. The vibe is cute too, they have local artists work displayed for sale. They seemed well staffed when I went and all staff were working to keep things running smoothly. We will be regulars here for sure.
I've been here a bunch of times, and it's always been great. I usually give visitors to LI a tour of the North Fork, and this is one of the stops. I had the lamb burger on my most recent visit, and it was cooked very well - still juicy! There was a great daily special of burger and beer for fair price. The service is always friendly and attentive.
This little gem has the best food and drinks around. Well worth the wait on a busy day. Love the vibe. Its a ride for me but we try to go as often as we can.
Quaint breakfast, brunch spot that didn’t disappoint. Super packed but got seated right away. Top notch service. Had the buttermilk pancakes (5⭐️), pastrami on rye (average) and the eggs, avocado with sautéed kale (5⭐️). Lots of quaint shops in the area. Adding to the list to rinse and repeat with another amazing combo. Cheers 🥂 ( gobbled everything down before I could take pics🤣) My bad.
We have a family tradition to go on vacation every year. And since last year when we had visited Loveland kitchen we loved it so much that this year we returned, we put Loveland Kitchen on our every year tradition list. Great service very good food family oriented atmosphere and great drinks
I had a BEC and my companion had the steak sandwich. Both of us were very pleased. Would recommend.
Loved it so much went twice for brunch. Was suitable for two two year old boys. Sell local artwork on the wall and coffee selection was good. I got the steak and eggs one day and the hash the next day. The steak and eggs were really good - almost had a sweet marinade to the steak.
I always choose this restaurant everytime I come to vineyards in Long Island. Inside is very pretty and cozy. Their food is also very delicious. I especially like the fish tacos and the lobster rolls. The staffs are nice and friendly. There is also a place to eat outside so I sometimes bring my puppy. There is a very nice grocery shop next door so I visit there after the lunch. Highly recommend!
Conner is the best! Service was great. Food was delicious. Wait was a little long (approx 30 min.) Will go again! Update for March 1, 2020... Been coming here on and off since my 1st visit and the breakfast is consistently good. The cocktails win me over for sure. Another bee's knees please! The steak reminds me of a korean type marinate. Savory and a little sweet.
Loved their pancakes, Their egg dishes are simply amazing... Top notch atmosphere and service.. Highly recommended ..
Love Lane Kitchen is a little gem tucked away in a little enclave in Mattituck that is a must-go-to if you're in the area. The lobster roll was chock full of lobster meat, and the Chicken Avacado Mango salad was excellent. Portion sizes are generous and there's a wide variety of cocktails and beers. If it's nice weather opt for sitting outside under the tent.
Love Lane Kitchen has become one of my go to spots when I’m out east, not just for the consistently great food, but for the friendly, hardworking staff who make every visit a pleasure. The food is always fresh and delicious (I get the breakfast bowl consistently and the lobster roll, which is amazing), and the service is on point every time. During my last visit, I witnessed a customer being unnecessarily rude to the “hostess” who’s really a manager. Despite the negativity, she handled a situation with total professionalism and grace. It reminded me just how much effort and patience it takes to work in hospitality, and how often that hard work goes unappreciated. So this review is not just about a great meal, but a shoutout to a team that truly goes above and beyond. Kudos to Love Lane Kitchen for not just delivering great food, but for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere, even when people bring in their bad moods. Keep doing what you do. I see it, and I appreciate it.
A staple for Mattituck! An amazing brunch spot with a huge range of breakfast and lunch food. I recommend the Steak Sandwich and Chicken Avocado Sandwich. My friend also got a side of Garlic Fries and they were really crispy and tasty! The Pancake Tacos are a cool mix and a nice switch up from typical breakfast food.
I have eaten here for years, but the new "Saucy Sunday" is LEGIT. $35 gets you a great little Italian salad, some good bread and a fantastic bowl of pasta. I had the homemade pesto with burrata, and my friend had the creamy mushroom penne. Both were excellent and large enough for lunch the next day. It's a lovely way to wrap up the weekend and, as always, the service and atmosphere was perfect.
Love Lane Kitchen has earned its reputation as a Mattituck staple through a rare blend of high-quality execution and genuine neighborhood warmth. The menu consistently highlights the best of the North Fork, offering dishes that feel both fresh and dependable regardless of the season. Whether it is the standout breakfast service or the more refined dinner offerings, the kitchen maintains a standard that many seasonal spots struggle to match over the long term. The atmosphere remains one of the restaurant's strongest assets, balancing a rustic, cozy aesthetic with an energy that is lively but never overwhelming
Charming vibes and great martinis. Caroline (?) the owner fit us in on a very crowded night without reservations which we were glad for. Great service, we left happy. The town center is super cute, highly recommended!
This is one lovely restaurant located on a quaint street named Love Lane. We have dined here many times with friends and family over a number of years. Their burgers are my daughter’s favorite and their burrata salad with corn is always a good choice, either as an individual appetizer or something for the entire table to share. Please make sure you have a reservation as the place gets quite busy come the dinner time.
Great food, and friendly service that doesn't break the bank. Love Lane Kitchen radiates a home away from home feeling that has an inviting feeling from start to finish. We had breakfast here, ordering the Rancheros, an omelette, and a lemon pancake (amazing flavor). The portions were just the right amount to fill you up with enough room left over for dessert. The bill for two was just under $40 bucks Great service, great food.
Love Lane Kitchen is such a cute brunch spot. The food is delicious and everything is beautifully presented. The lemon ricotta pancakes are a must-try. The cocktails are tasty and the service is friendly and attentive. The fish and chips are so yummy and the atmosphere is great. It’s a lovely place to enjoy breakfast or brunch.
So good! Start to finish from the greeting as we entered to the final goodbye was amazing. Food was great and service was awesome too! We all had the specials (panini, spinach & scallop salad !!, cinnamon French toast) DELISH! 😋
Best chicken soup.....just like Mom made. Chunks of chicken, carrots and celery. Steak marinade awesome and the 'Winter Warmer' is a must.
Had breakfast here eggs over easy with sausage and toast, my friend had steak and eggs...the coffee is self-serve, and the young staff are very friendly and efficient! Went on a Sunday it was very busy but we got a seat at the bar real quick! They serve alcohol too...bloody mary with breakfast and lively/lovely atmosohere. Will return!
As you drive onto Love Lane in Mattutuck NY. You might get the feeling this adorable block of shops and restruants is sort of magical. It's as if it were someplace you'd see in a movie or TV show and you'd think places like that don't really exist. Love Lane Kitchen also delivers that feeling. Warm, cozy and friendly. Grab a table, inside, outside in the coverd patio or at the bar. The coffee station is right as you enter. Self serve perfection. On the North Fork aka NOFO it's apparently 5 o'clock all the time. Pick your delicious poison off the specialty cocktail menu to start. Our breakfast highlights this visit were Hanger Steak and Eggs. Perfectly cooked to order this marinated Hanger is served sliced. Included are 2 eggs anyway you want homefries & toast. It's perhaps the best steak I didn't pay over $60 for and it gives those big guys a run for the money. The Pastrami Hash is just a flavor explosion. Share with your table or add some eggs and consider it breakfast. We never visit Long Island without a stop at Love Lane Kitchen. You shouldn't either. ❤️
The hostess and waitress helping in the front room this past Labor Day were AMAZING. It was busy and they still provided timely, friendly service and went above and beyond for me! We had a couple drinks, pastrami hash, a salad with wonderfully roasted chicken and a side of fries. We will definitely keep this saved as a Favorite!
Love Lane is a cute and quaint restaurant located on the main street of Mattituck. We came at lunchtime and had lots to choose from - the menu was STACKED with options! I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious! The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with paintings hanging on the wall from local artists. If you’re looking for a good brunch spot or place to enjoy a meal with friends you should check it out!
My boyfriend and I come here often. We bring our dog and sit outside (pet friendly) but recently it’s been cold so we’ve been enjoying the inside atmosphere. It’s a cozy place and between the delicious food and the great service it feels like home. The espresso martinis are some of the best I’ve ever had and yet somehow the food is even better. Our usual server, Cat, is so wonderful. We really enjoy coming here.
This place is truly special and filled with good vibrations. The staff and the owner are friendly, happy and caring. The food is consistently delicious and the daily blackboard specials always impress. Breakfast is served until 2. Some family favorites include the lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado toast and sweet potato hash with poached eggs! One lunch special that is so healthy is the spinach salad with seared scallops. The hamburgers are juicy and cooked to order. A lot of love shows up here with the service and the cooking. Try it, you'll be treated to a memorable experience. ❤️
Very good food in a laidback atmosphere. The chai latte was absolutely delicious (you can tell it’s not store bought) and the lobster roll was excellent, full of lobster meat chucks and balanced in its ingredients on a tasty butter bun, so well made. And the patio is dog friendly! 😊🐶 Would gladly come back
Ambiance (5/5): Their indoor section was bustling on the weekend. There are a couple countertop seats as well. There's a covered outdoor section where we sat since they were dog friendly! Service (5/5): The establishment was very busy with every table basically full by 10:30am. However, they were attentive throughout the whole dining experience. The staff were super warm and friendly. Hot drip coffee is self-serve! The specials for the day were written on a chalk board in the outdoor dining area. We opted to try their: Lemon Ricotta Pancake (5/5): So so so good! It was thin and had a forward taste of the lemon which I loved. It tasted great even without maple syrup.' Breakfast Bowl (4/5): I don’t think there was anything to write home about but their poached eggs were great! I should have assumed that the bowl was going to consist mostly of potatoes.
Love, love, love this place 🥰 It was a great place to stop in for breakfast. Food was delicious as well as excellent, friendly service. My daughter had the fish & chips and according to her, they are the best F&C’s she has eaten since living in the US 🇺🇸….. coming from Scotland in the UK she is an expert! Lol!
We had a really nice experience at Love Lane Kitchen. While waiting for our table, I walked around the charming little village—still quiet and pleasant even on a busy day. We ended up sitting outside, which was perfect. I ordered the chicken salad, which was different than what I expected—it was more of a puréed style rather than the chunkier version I’m used to. It wasn’t bad, just not really my thing, so I’d probably skip it next time. My wife had the lobster roll, and that looked amazing—definitely a better choice. Her fries were fresh and crisp, and my sweet potato fries were excellent. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was even better. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Went on Sunday for dinner. Parked immediately in front of the restaurant. Was seated immediately. Place is appropriately decorated with sayings around "Love" ❤️ as the location is Love Lane. We had burgers 🍔 --one Beef and one Black bean. Both delicious and fresh. The garlic French fries 🍟 --perfect. We ended with a very delicious slice of chocolate cake 😋made by "mom". Wait staff attentive.
Since February of 2020, we have visited this lovely establishment 3x, we don’t live locally. Each time, we have been absolutely thrilled with the environment, warmth, charm and delicious menu Love Lane Kitchen has to offer. At each visit we were blessed enough to chat with the owner, Carolyn. She is an absolute doll and is the epitome of a gracious host. The staff is attentive, friendly and hospitable. The food was incredible, lamb chops over mashed with broccoli rabe was tender, flavorful and beautifully plated. Definitely a place to make a destination next time you head East on Long Island.
Truthfully, this is my favorite place for breakfast/lunch in the entire North Fork. I’ve had a lot of items on the menu, and I like all of it, but I want to spotlight the things that are at the top of the list for me. The shrimp quesadilla is a special that’s been available every time I’ve gone, and it’s the safest bet on the menu. It’s so good and the chipotle aioli they give you with it is really good. The crab cakes are unreal here. My favorite crab cakes bar none. I’ve had it in the Benedict which is super tasty for breakfast, and on the Caesar for lunch which is my favorite way to have it. The lobster roll is so good it’s stupid. Better than most, if not all, of the lobster rolls I had in Bar Harbor. If you’re in the area, you’ve got to go to breakfast or lunch here. If it’s packed, carry out. It’s that good.
Cute little restaurant. Excellent breakfast and burgers. Could be better if they made a few improvements.. for one being the no reservations. It’s practically impossible to get in for breakfast in the warm months. Another thing- strict no breakfast after 2 rule. No reason why they can’t push that till 4. Would be nice if they were on DoorDash aswell.
Love Lane Kitchen is wildly popular and it has a great location on Love Lane and the atmosphere is great. It's got a vintage chill vibe and we sat at the bar. Looks like that have great breakfast, but popped in for lunch. We just needed a light bite so we shared a grilled chicken, avocado and bacon sandwich with a side salad. I also had a fairly tasty lemonade. Unfortunately the side salad had some down leaves so we had to pick those out. Would recommend if you're in the area.
I had breakfast and lunch here. For breakfast I had the special of the day Crab cake Eggs Benedict and it was so delicious, the crab cake was thick and juicy with fresh real crab, the hollandaise sauce was amazing and the bacon bits were to sure for! I loved it. Regular coffee is self serve. Then I came back for lunch, here I was quite disappointed. We ordered fish tacos and fish and chips, while the fish tacos were really good, the fish was grilled and had good taste the mango salsa on top was ok. The fish and chips, the chips were great with the garlic butter but the fish was more like 4 pieces of sticks and it has no taste at all the batter was thin and tasteless not even salt and the fish fingers had no taste. I couldn't even eat it, so left the whole thing. When I go next I will try other things, their breakfast was good but then I tried only 1 item. The fish and chips is quite pricey for what is served.
Very good dinner for 4. Grilled fluke was soft and moist with a crisp brown crust. Mediterranean and African flavors on some dishes were a bit strong for my taste. Limited wine list, but excellent selections. Informal atmosphere. Friendly service including personal attention from owner.
This is such a cute brunch spot! Atmosphere is great and people are too. Pictured here are: - Carrot cake pancakes (Specialty item, not THAT good) - Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon (Average, smoked salmon was almost frozen) - Breakfast bowl (This was my favorite, definitely needs hot sauce though, lacks a little bit of flavor) - Side of fries
This is a place I enjoy visiting from time to time for its location and vibe. At our recent visit (which was the first in a while), the food options were fantastic and bursting with flavor. LLK stepped it up in the savory category. The atmosphere in the screenroom was "empty" which doesn't deter me and is why we gave it 3 stars. The service was not the worst but far from the best. One of the young bus people kept kicking my chair as he walked by and there was PLENTY of room to navigate. He was fast and somewhat clumsy. He was carrying a chair from 1 table to another and slammed the back of my chair with the chair he was carrying, instead of lifting the chair. I asked another young man for water and he looked frightened that someone asked him for something and without saying a word back to me, he ran off and apparently never conveyed to anyone that a table wanted water. Our waiter only came to our table to bring us our dishes and we were VERY THIRSTY. He never checked to see how everything was or if we needed anything. As he took orders from other tables, we'd patiently await for him to walk away from that table before attempting to ask for water. Every time he passed our table, he kept his head down and avoided eye contact. It didn't bother us so much until we received the check and saw how expensive everything was for terrible service. If you're going to charge those prices, it's important to spend time training. They weren't rude employees so that's why we feel it wasn't the worst. We definitely won't be back for dinner, for these reasons. We've always had a nice breakfast experience.
My food was good, but a member of our party was so unhappy they sent their meal back. Service was below average for what they charge. Server was not available for long portions of the meal and everyone sat for quite a while with empty glasses.
Food was 10/10 and our waiter was SUPER kind but the hostess was making faces at my party the whole time. The Hostess was incredibly rude and unwelcoming making faces at my kids and laughing.Don’t come here if you’re coming with kids or a large party.
This was our first visit we decided to go there for breakfast arrived at 1:45 the hostess took our name for a seat we waited 10 minutes and actually got the seat that was empty when we got there the server came over we asked if we can still order breakfast she looked at her watch and said oh it's 2:03 Almost 2:05 and We stop breakfast at 2, I found this so disappointing. Any restaurant that i have visited as long as you're seated prior to their specific serving time they would accommodate you. I was so disappointed that this restaurant did not do anything to accommodate us the couple that was sitting next to us also wanted breakfast and were disappointed as well. so we just got app and left don't think I'll be going back obviously they don't care about their customers or maybe they should speak to the servers and say there are exceptions. Customer service obviously is an important in this establishment sorry but don't think I'll be going back
I wanted to like this place because it looks cute and the staff was nice but the food was so bad. Rosemary bread and it was dry with no flavor and like three pieces of Rosemary on it, felt store bought vrs made in house. The eggs had no salt, no flavor, couldn't taste the cheese at all, I didn't even eat the full sandwich. My fiance said his was the same but he asked got onions in it and he said there was so much onion it overpowered the egg. Just need better cooks. I Got fries with it, no salt no flavor was full of grease to the point where I was burping up grease all day and as I'm writing this in nausea from these fries. I'm sorry I really wanted to like this place but it's not it for me. Though I wish them luck
It was freezing despite their attemp to use a different door for entry. The cold made for an unpleasant visit. We ordered Cappuccino. When I asked for sugar, the waitress told me it was by the door, as if I was supposed to get it. On second thought, she offered to get it for me and brought one packet for my husband and myself( to share?). I got the sweet Potato Hash and the potatoes were cooked unevenly. Some were hard and some were properly cooked. They were not uniformly cooked. Didn't love it. They ration the ketchup in small cups, for whatever reason. So, I guess they're conserving sugar and condiments. Rather than making customers feel welcome and catered to, it felt like we were imposing. The bathroom offered no towels and the hand blower blew only cold air. Inefficient for drying hands. We won't be visiting again.
ordered steak frites.. it came out room temp more like teriyaki beef jerky with fries. Way too salty over marinated for too long in soy sauce. I couldn't eat it. I really wanted to tell the waiter but he was not around for at least 20 mins after he brought the food to us. Then when he finally came over, i showed him and nicely explained that its was inedible and simply that it’s been marinated for too many days! Trying to not think of how many days… I have done the same mistake myself with a steak. He agreed that it looked like beef jerky ..He went to show the chef, who just rolled his eyes looking my way. They offered me a free piece of cake and charged me for the $26 steak jerky. Oh well…i guess just stick to breakfast at love lane that is always great.
The food at this establishment is invariably tasty, delicious, and healthy, which explains why it is a favorite destination of mine when visiting Long Island. Regrettably, the service has been somewhat marred by an older female hostess, who has exhibited a lack of friendliness, a somewhat snobbish attitude, and an unwelcoming demeanor, appearing to be more concerned with seating the next guest than providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
I’ve been a loyal customer here for years, but my recent experiences have been disappointing since the manager with glasses started working at the front. Unfortunately, her attitude has consistently come across as rude and unwelcoming, which is a sharp contrast to the service I’ve come to expect. I hope this issue is addressed, as I truly value this place and would like to continue coming back.
Waited for 10 mins for someone to pass me my to go order and had to beg for assistance… I don’t care how good the food is if you have terrible service your not getting my money again
I hate doing this… but while I had a great experience with the wait staff… the manager was extremely rude. She came to our table and told us to order immediately. We could not “wait” for my father who was running behind. Which, listen, I get that we were holding the table probably longer than we should have. However, we had ordered drinks, appetizers.. and whatnot. And it wasn’t like our waitress came by to order in a while… but the manager wasn’t nice about it. Instead, she insinuated that the prolonged wait was our fault. That they needed to rush us out. She didn’t try to be nice.. accommodating… or even meet in the middle. I wanted to speak in person but honestly it was not worth it. I know the type of person who wouldn’t take a critique in the moment. As someone who has worked in hospitality for a long time.. I understand waits and dealing with people but there’s a polite way to do it. That’s the opposite of she handled it. She shouldn’t be working with people or in restaurants. 5/5 for the wait staff. -5/5 for the manager. Sorry but it’s true.
Came all the way from Florida. My wife and I shared a bowl of oatmeal, short stack pancakes and scrambled egg whites. One coffee each. Total was $50 for this very undercooked and small portions breakfast.Eggs were watered, pancakes tasted like they were frozen Coffee was cold. What a horror compared to many other breakfast places in Suffolk County. The coffee was in 3 urns, with cracked and dirty cups family style piled up on the edge of the table! I pointed this out to the manager What a disappointment. You don’t get what you pay for! Horrible!!!
Our server had two tone hair. She never explained any of the specials. She asked my date for something to drink but never asked me. She brought out a cappuccino and told us to walk to the corner to get our sugar. The server never came to check on us, so we didn't get to order wine. The toco shells were greasy for the fish tacos I ordered a Cobb which looked sad and I was given oil and blue cheese mixed in a plastic container. (Gross) I said something but the manager made excuses. This restaurant has been a standing joke on where not to go. I left her 20% because I felt sad for her. We strongly urge you not to go here, but if you do please don't say I didn't warn you. Worst restaurant I have visited in years, poorly trained with a bunch of excuses. The even let a dog sit on the person's lap at the table behind us, gross! I recommend the board of health check them out.
