I've never had a bad experience here. The service has always been really good and the staff has always been very friendly. The food is really good: burgers, pizza, garlic knots, etc. I really like the seating here; it's very comfortable. They have lots of TV's to keep you occupied when the game is on. The draft beer is served just how you like it: cold and delicious.

Went on a Saturday night at 8pm and it was super packed with a 1 hour wait. Ended up sitting at the bar after waiting 2 min instead.Every seat is a great seat, Tvs all around. The prices are not too expensive about average pricing.tried the wings which were not so good, the taste of Wings was like frozen soggy wings from Walmart. However the pizza was AMAZING!!!! We went just for dinner, but what a surprise for us it was the game of Dodgers vs. Astros World Series game. So it was packed, but they still had some tables available. So we sat and order some drinks and appetizer the shotgun shrimp(really good). And for meals we got the Sunshine burger and the Buffalo chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was okay, something similar to Applebee's or chili's; the beer was cool and refreshing lol. The margarita with extra tequila shot was amazing, after that I ty a Long Island really sweet but with a lot of alcohol... . At the end we end paying around $65.00 dlls for 2 meals, appetizer, 3 beers and 3 different drinks. Not bad.!

Amazing service 💯 I ordered the Habanero burger and sooooo delicious! Fruity lemonade was also equisite☺️ My hubby had the bacon burger- it has 2 meats yummy!! I think the only thing I don't like is Bubba's doesn't serve any type of bread, rolls or toast 😪 while yoy wait for your order.

OMG GUYS🤩🤩🤩. The environment was amazing. The wings with shotgun sauce as a different experience in your mouth. If you come with your girl you’ll be taking that sauce to go and put in places I cannot write here. My lady forgot her $1,500 Cartier frames and we were already in the car 289 feet away from the entrance, the hosted followed us sprinting probably more than 32 mph and gave my lady her $1,500 Cartier frames back, I swear I tear ran down my leg when that happen IYKYK. Bubba's 33 is the best place to dine in McAllen. It is a scratch kitchen and the food is delicious! I cannot say enough good things about Victor, the Manager. He along with the food makes this place! Victor is a tremendous asset to Bubba's 33.

By far one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. The food was absolutely amazing the drinks were on point. The managers stopped to check on us several times even though it was a super busy and packed night, they even gave us free desserts for my twin girls. We're in town from Austin for a softball tournament and have never eaten at a Bubba's before this experience far exceeded my expectations we will definitely be back before we head to Austin

We to Bubbas 33 in Mcallen,TX on valentine's weekend with my family. It was a very nice casual place. I really enjoyed everything. The nachos, boneless wings, and the huge pizza. What we ordered was very surprising for the price we paid. The staff was friendly and were wearing mask. I felt comfortable as each booth did have the shields. It was a nice experience and would go back again.

Cantina Bar type restaurant, located next to Interstate 2. Large parking lot. Located in a very large outdoor shopping plaza where there are more restaurants and other types of convenience stores. Next door there is a Ross Dress Store, a Burlington, shoe stores. The place is very nice, they serve you very quickly. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It is a family-friendly place, in my case I went with my family, there are 6 of us, including children and my wife. It is moderately expensive, we ordered 3 large pizzas, 5 refill drinks and I had 2 Budwiser beers in a large, ice-cold mug. I do recommend the place, I will definitely return when I am visiting McAllen, Tx.

First time here and the Crunchy Fried Shrimp was worth it. 9/10. Mango lemonade is something I highly recommend. It’s a great place to relax, drink a few beers or have a slice of pizza.

We planned to stop at another restaurant after church but they were busy. We happened to pass by Bubba33 and decided to try it since we’ve never been there. It was busy but there was no wait. Our server Jackie came quickly and often. The manager Victor checked on us as well. The service was excellent and the food was great. We will definitely go back.

Love it here. I haven't been let down in service or food yet. They listen and answer questions that are asked and provide information when needed. While it does get busy at certain times or for special days, the staff are good at time management in food delivery. There is a bit of wait during the busy times and yet they also provide a table not too long afterward.

The staff is very friendly but a little slow. The food is very good, and the plates are sure to leave you stuffed. If you're up for more, they have dessert too. Very family friendly and overall a great place to have lunch/dinner. Would recommend.

After being disappointed by BJ's, this was the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday. I want to thank management for the face to face service and comedic interaction. Our sever was professional and personable meeting my expectations for outstanding service. The food here was amazing, the burgers taste extremely fresh and the fries were great as well. Trying the meaty as a group was a tasty experience, every topping has great flavor, seems that nothing on the menu could be a miss. I highly recommend coming here for a sporty, and warm atmosphere. I wrote this review quite a while back, and now I have had the pleasure of trying out their food as well. And I just have to say- the pizza there is absolutely delicious; from the ingredients to how it is made to the taste, is just amazing! I honestly don't know exactly how they cook it (if they use a brick oven or not), but i can honestly say that it's the best, most delicious pizza that i have tasted- that doesn't come from a fast food pizza chain. I'm not putting those other places down either, but for a more authentic looking, and more importantly- a more authentic tasting pizza - Bubba's 33 is the place to go, in my opinion. My husband and I also had the pleasure of trying out their burgers and OMG!, they are absolutely devine! If you are looking for a delicious, very generously proportioned, extremely filling burger, then I strongly recommend that you give them a try. I ordered the Bubba's cheeseburger, and to my surprise, it was a double meat cheeseburger with bacon, that was so beautifully curated in every way- I just couldn't ask for more! I can't for the life of me remember the name of the burger that my husband ordered (I know, I have to work on that!) but it was just as big and tasty as mine, and the difference was that his had guacamole in it apart from the rest of the traditional ingredients of a burger, and of course it had bacon in it as well. Both burgers were very well cooked, juicy, flavorful, and extremely filling! Of course we ordered them with fries, and the fries, obviously did not disappoint. Perfectly crunchy and tasty seasoned fries. I also took the liberty of ordering a side of their onion rings and a side of their mac-n-cheese, and I have to admit, they definitely did not disappoint at all! My husband is a mac-n-cheese fan, therfore he has tried out the mac-n-cheese at various places, but again - to my surprise - he absolutely loved it and proclaimed it to be the best he has had. I myself am not that big of a fan of mac-n-cheese, but when my husband told me how good he thought it was, I just had to try it. And I do have to admit- it was some very tasty, perfectly seasoned/cooked mac-n-cheese. The onion rings were the best I have ever had! They do still have awesome service; very nice, friendly employees, very engaging atmosphere and sociable people. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking to have a good time with great service in a very friendly, sociable environment. 😊👍👍👍 I still now, strongly recommend to anyone and everyone that is looking for some very delicious food, great drinks, an enjoyable atmosphere and experience, to absolutely- definitely give Bubba's 33 a try!! I tried out their strawberry margaritas, I tried the frozen strawberry margarita, made by our bartender Danny and OMG! it was delicious! It was so good that I tried drinking it kind of fast (like a normal drink), but instead of brain freeze I got chest freeze! So I ordered another one but on the rocks instead, and still absolutely delicious- but no more chest freeze! So I ended up drinking 3 strawberry margaritas and my husband had two Budlights in the tall, very chilled glasses they have, and he loved how good and especially how cold they were. Our bartender (Danny) was so extremely and pleasantly friendly and attentive, the other bartender that was there (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was also very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and enjoyable. So still, and once again, I strongly recommend that anyone/everyone that hasn't been there yet, go on over and give them a try, whether it's to try out their food or drinks! I personally guarantee that you will not be disappointed!!

We absolutely love coming to Bubba’s 33 in McAllen. We go at least once to twice a week. We have made true friends there. The staff is amazing!! We always feel like royalty as soon as we enter, we are greeted with a smile and a huge welcome! Victor the manager is amazing!! He brings the atmosphere alive!! He helped me organize a function hosted there which was a huge success. He always finds time to talk to us and make us feel special! That goes a long way as a customer. We are treated like family. Ruben is one of our favorite waiters.. no matter how busy he is, he always finds time to talk to us. Victor and Ruben are our reason for coming back!

Love Bubba's! The food is great, I like to go for the pizza and wings. They have a great variety of flavors for the wings, and a few different styles of pizza options to choose from. The menu has plenty of variety: steaks, sandwiches, fish, and salads too. Prices are reasonable, that is for eating out. The seating is very comfortable as well. I will most definitely be coming back.

My mom travelled from California to visit me after more than 5 years to meet my wife’s family and spend time in the RGV. Me and my family have become regulars (as in every Friday night) because the food is always great, the beer is always cold, and the service is top notch! Great food and great atmosphere. Although i feel like we were rushed a bit for some reason, the flavor of the food definitely makes up for this because it was just so good. We tried the burger, the pizza, the pasta, fried pickles, and a dessert. While we ate, we enjoyed some eventful basketball games that were going on. I'm a little torn. The service is pretty good and all the food I've tried throughout my visits are good, but it bothers me that they limit your alcohol intake. If I'm not the one driving, is there a reason to limit me? IDK I haven't worked in a restaurant to know all the laws and so forth, but I have never been cut off or told there was a limit anywhere else in McAllen. They're strict in Weslaco, which is why we come to this side, but not fond of what just happened. FYI, we've each had 3 beers in 2 hrs, we're talking, NOT loud, and shared some layered fries. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Ms. Clarissa said there's something in their system that "flags" their orders. I appreciate her coming over to explain vs sending our server since some people may cause a scene. I wonder if this would happen if sitting in a booth or out on the floor vs bar.

Stopped by around 4pm on a Saturday . They were slammed ! Atmosphere was loud but enjoyable . They have a ton of TVs on different channels and their playlist was a mix of early 2000s . If you are looking for a place to let loose a bit , this is it ! my only draw back is my Phyllis steak sandwich was super salty 😩 we will be back !

Chorizo burger was okay but not great. Sides were good. Wife said her sandwich was great. Service was friendly and beer is cold. Atmosphere was awesome, TVs all around. Manager came through when our server was busy, I love it when management plays a part in the team. I'll bring my kids next time and try my free pizza; hopefully it'll be a 5 star pizza so I can update.

First time at bubba's 33 I had the guacamole bacon burger, it's a double patty with cheese and it comes with fries, the taste of the meat is tasty and juicy, the fries are good, they have this promo where you can get any burger on Mondays and pizzas on Tuesdays at a discount price. The place is nice, lots of screens and clean, what I disliked about my visit is that it took them about an hour to get our order, most likely they messed up at the kitchen level, good thing is that we had time so it didn't bother us that much. Definitely coming back and bringing the family over and try some other menu items that look interesting.

I like this place a lot. The vibe is so casual and relaxed. The place has a full bar, some booths and tables for dining. It is good for families, and I even saw some diners taking their young children to eat. My husband I came here for lunch. I order the shrimp from the appetizer list and a 6 piece parmesan chicken wings. While my husband ordered a sandwich akin to a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich and the shrimp was good, but I didn’t like the chicken wings. I just didn’t like their version of their garlic parmesan. Even though I do not like their garlic parmesan chicken wings, I will still come back and eat here. You should try it too.

Good food and prices. Drinks are brought to you quick, but what I didn’t like is that they charged us a “Bubbas special” three times for $1.99 each. Didn’t bother to ask because I’m assuming it was Jalapeños which we told the server we didn’t want any and we still got them on the side of our burgers. I don’t know if that’s something tricky they do to charge more or just a mistake but I did not like it.

It's a great place for food, and the service is outstanding. It's a bit loud, though, and there are no shortage of games showing on the plethora of TV's in there. Part of the crowd shouting for one team, another part shouting for another team... and so on. So, if you don't mind a noisy environment, you'll certainly enjoy the rest.

We had been traveling and stopped in for lunch. Bartender was brand new and could have used more help. Music was really loud for lunch time. We asked for parmesan for pizza. She gave us parm and red peppers in packets. Unknowingly, we sprinkled red peppers thinking it was parm. Got side salad and it had egg on it-- probably should warn customers of that.

After 10 hours of travel day, I was tired and hungry. I wanted my usual grilled salmon and veggies. I stopped here, being that it was the closest to the hotel. I was too hungry to take pictures of the food, but I am including a video and picture of the restaurant! The food was good and I will eat here again. It kinda reminds you of TGI Fridays or Buffalo Wild Wings. They have several menu options to choose from.

My sandwich was ok.... not amazing. It was my first time here, and I wasn't in the mood for a burger. I know better now. If you actually want to talk to the person you are with, go somewhere else. The music was blaring. It was clean, and our server was great

We only tried the items that we were served as a part of the Soft opening on a Friday night. The Lasagna was too rich and tasteless. However, the shrimp basket was excellent. We want to go back and try the Pizza. They also had Shiner Beer on tap- that’s a plus for us!

First time trying this place with the family and it was a great vibe! The ambience feels great for families but also has a bar side for those date nights/friends night out. The menu has a ton of variety not just burger and pizza like I initially assumed. We had the shrimp pasta, classic burger wings and a kid’s chicken tender meal. We had appetizers that consisted of fried pickles and onion rings. Dessert was a chocolate chip sundae Food was brought out quick despite it being a busy time the day after Christmas. Overall, we enjoyed trying this place out and it was nice to have the manager/supervisor check on us to make sure everything was going well.

I placed a pick up order for the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad as well as an order of garlic knots. The salad was full and fresh. The garlic knots had flavor and good flavor however, they were very dense and chewy. The garlic knot cheese sauce and marinara was on point both had great flavor. Now to that great medium well steak. It was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and have a good crust on it. The garlic mashed potatoes lacked garlic and basic seasoning, tasting very plain. I highly recommend the ribeye. Overall, the meal was reasonably priced and I would order it again, except maybe pick a different side. Pick up service was good. Their menu had a wide variety of items, and I look forward to coming back in trying other items. I recommend Bubba’s 33 as a good place to get good food, enjoy the atmosphere, and get what you pay for.

Place was pretty decent. Waiter was friendly and treated us very well. The burger was pretty solid, it was the classic burger with bacon. Juicy well cooked and well seasoned. Only issue was the soda tasted a little off. I'd come back when I'm in the area. Good specials and fair pricing.

June 15, 2023 1:50pm My fiancé and I like to try different mozzarella cheese sticks from different restaurants, as usual. We had tried them the first time we came which was months ago at a different location and they were 👌🏼delicious. We had decided then that it was better than Buffalo Wild Wings. This time we came it tasted a little different, needed a bit more time maybe 🤔? Who knows Overall the food was still delicious 🤤. Me ordering a raspberry lemonade and my fiancé a draft beer. He got the classic sirloin steak and I the Fried Shrimp with seasoned fries 🍟. And of course the appetizer of cheese sticks. Total spent was $56 🫶🏼. Our service could’ve been a bit better but that’s okay we were in a good mood anyways😅

8-29-25 First visit today for lunch. My wife ordered Blackened Bleu Burger with fries. Said the burger was good, but the bacon was severely undercooked. I ordered Chicken and Bacon Mac n Cheese. The cheese blend is good, could have a bit more but there is enough to cover the mac. There is a rich bacon flavor throughout the dish. You get that bacon taste even when there is none on the fork. There is plenty of chicken as well, but you might not want to stir, or it all can end up in the middle of the bowl. It comes with a piece of bread, that can be good, if you eat it while it is hot. I am not a big bread eater, so left it for last to taste, and realized that was a mistake. Waitstaff was pleasant, and checked on us often. The only other negative I can comment on is the music. We were in the bar, and the music was too loud to try to have a conversation without feeling like we were talking to everyone there. At one point the waitress came over to speak with us, and we could only guess at what she was saying, we couldnt hear her at all

Great boneless wings and decent margaritas at a good price. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the service. Our first waiter was super cool at the start but got very upset when there was an issue with the check, he blamed us for the confusion (even though we were a large group, so mistakes can happen) and even threatened to call the police, even after the check was fully paid. We asked for the manager, and thankfully, she was super sweet and professional, trying her best to fix the situation. Definitely mixed feelings about coming back.

Read raving reviews about their onion rings so we stopped by to try them out. The batter was light and crispy but the batch we got were a bit over done and greasy. Loved the Bubba sauce though. Ordered the Fish and Chips and a Bacon Avocado Burger. The fish was under cooked and there were clumps of uncooked batter within the fish that was a bit off putting. The "chips" were just regular fries....I was really hoping to get big, thick "steak cut" fries like what is traditionally served. When ordering the burger, I forgot to ask for it to be cooked medium so the patty was a bit dry. My bad. The bacon, avocado, provolone cheese and veggies combination came through though and saved the dish. The place had an upbeat, party atmosphere which was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. We'll probably go back to give them a chance to redeem themselves.

The food is good but not great. I tried the montecristo sandwich and it was very hard and little burnt. The pizza was okay, I have had way better. The margarita was good. Its a very loud place with tv's everywhere. The server was great and attentative. This is a good place for sports fans. I do not follow sports of any kind so its not for me.

The atmosphere was really good, but their Monte Christo sandwich left something to be desired. I'm willing to try again with a burger.

Legendary food as usual. However, the server was not legendary. He didn't place my sons order. My son got his food 15-20 minutes after us. I ordered chili chz totts. I got no chz , reciet only said chili. He maid up for it, but the lack of experience was obvious. Missing the importance of accuracy when it comes to fulfilling the customers order. No manager in sight.

The food tastes good but the chicken strips were the size of my thumb, poor portioning. The beer is refreshingly cold. The blue long island iced tea tastes great but I couldn't feel or tell there was any alcohol in it. The atmosphere felt cool and fun. The staff was not attentive even though there was alot of them standing around. This was my second visit and both visits they forgot what sides were ordered and ran out our food with mixed or missing sides bringing the missing ones later. The steak was perfect and very flavorful. The fried pickles and garlic know were amazing. It's disappointing in service and portioning for the price. For a one time visit its okay but because of the inconsistencies I wouldn't comeback.

I have to be honest that I really like Bubba’s 33 food, just about everything is great, but today’s experience was not nice. I invited a friend for his first time and for his birthday, and informed the server from the very start about my birthday friend who was there with his wife and his son, as well as my wife. At least three times I kept reminding the server about the birthday courtesy and we waited even after I paid the ticket but never showed up. Great atmosphere for watching the game. Food is fine. Wings are their strong point. Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Desiree our server took 12 minutes to greet us. Guest should be greeted no later than 5 minutes from being sat. My whole visit I saw her three times. When she took our drink order when she brought our drinks then when our food was brought out. No 2 minute food check up nothing. Very very poor service. If servers are slacking and my food wasn’t at its finest I can imagine who’s running the restaurant. Im more than likely not to return and that’s on it being my first time dining here. Please get Desiree more training and get your management to stay on top of their employees. Look at the presentation of my food when given to me. I myself would not have let a soggy over fried fish come out the kitchen door. I would’ve came to me and told me kitchen is backed up and made a new one. That’s just on me and how I run my kitchen. Please get better y’all.

So I decided to sit at the bar after a long day of work and I decided to go to one of my favorite restaurants. As soon as I got there I went straight to the bar waited about 10 minutes when there was only 6 people at the bar just to get my drink order in. Was not even asked if I would like to order food. Finished my drink and none of the 4 bartenders even paid attention that I needed another drink. They were too busy just chit chatting with some other pair of customers. I had to call one of the bartenders named Orly to let him know I needed another drink. Finished that drink and waited again and nothing. First time this has ever happened at this location. I was very disappointed with my service.

I’ve been a regular here with no prior issues, but during my last visit the manager accused me of using a fake ID and refused service simply because my license is vertical, even though it’s completely valid. The situation was handled in an unprofessional and embarrassing way. Very disappointing experience.

DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK!!! We’ve gone twice. I ordered the steak both times because I decided to give them another chance. The first time, I asked for medium rare and they gave it to me well done. The second time I asked for medium rare as well and they gave it to me well done again. This time I decided to let the waiter know. He went back and they gave me another piece of steak. This one was extremely rare. I opened it up and it was dark Purple! Not pink. Not even red. Literally purple. I told him it was fine, that I’d just cook it at home and he said he would take it back. When he returned the steak was well done again. I gave up. Just problably will never return and I will be telling people not to order the steak there or not to go at all. The steak plate was about $23 and I was not offered a discount, or a return or refund. Paid full price and didn’t even eat it. Ridiculous. Will not be returning. Picture for reference of the 3rd time he brought it back. I cut it in strips to see the inside. I don’t see any pink. I just took it home didn’t eat any on the restaurant.
