Very clean bathrooms! Good coffee if you need it late at night and can't find a Dunkin.
Friendly people that work here foods always fresh but they don't make your coffee the way you order it which would be fine but they don't provide sugar in the bag either

Sadly, I love the place knowing it's not healthy but if I'm going to get it, I will always go to the Merrick one because it actually tastes better, always fresh tasting. The only other one that rates almost as well is Carle Place.
This McDonald's is rather small compared to most of the McDonald's in Long Island, but it's almost always very busy. They do sometimes make a mistake in your order or it may not be to your liking, but they will correct it and sometimes they will give you a voucher for a free Hamburger for next time . The people are very Courteous and the food is good. I have been coming here for over almost 40 years now. You know the old saying " Good things come in small packages ( in this place it's small places )" !
The crew of March 29/2024 at 2pm made the most perfect frappe I have ever seen. Nothing but respect, personally had a good experience.
The fact that kerrie who's worked at McDonald's for 40 years was in the store the day I went in whom I used to work for 30 years ago, brightened my day. The service in that store is awesome but her presence made it even better. Far better than the Freeport McDonald's on Merrick road which is absolutely the worst McDonald's I've ever been to
This McDonald’s is great. They never mess up my order like so many other locations do. Very friendly staff and reliable service.
Employees were friendly. Fast service. However, the large fries were only filled half way and were raw. Basically was eating raw soggy potatoes, so I had to toss them.
Good food, polite and structured service. I remember when the current owner was a local kid working there back in the 60's. His work ethic then, is reflected in the food, service and appearance of today.
Its McDonalds what can i say. Convenient for a coffee run..food always the same. There is something comforting in the fact that no matter where you are in the country you always know what you are gonna get..how its gonna taste and what its gonna cost. Not exactly gourmet dining but good in a pinch.
I Just want to thanks Isaac and his team at this place. This is the third time I come here and employees are very polite, fast and friendly. It seems the employees are very good at what they do. Place looks so clean, bathrooms and tables. If you dine in there a person that ask you if everything is ok. I have been very very surprised. Congratulations to all the employees most Isaac . Keep up the good work. Macdonald should train more people like that.
I mostly go there for my 3yo. But it is extremely kids friendly. I see a lot of parents with their kids at any time I visit this location. Food is also good.
I come every Sunday and visit through the drive through. A kid named Adam always helps me and he is such a dear! Amazing kid with great manners! Tried giving him a 40 dollar tip for the holidays and he respectfully said no because of company policy. Treat him well!
Not sure if this guy was the manager or what but he's super friendly and nice, he checked on me and he gave out blueberry pies to everyone sitting inside free cause they are "extras" not sure what kind of day but that was so nice of them! My food was also super fresh, just as fresh as the original McDonald's in Downy California!

Showed up for breakfast at 11:36 was greeted by Lauren who informed me breakfast was over at 11:30. To my dismay my search for breakfast ended quickly . Lauren realized how disappointed I was not getting my morning hot cakes. She broke protocol and my order of hot cakes was quickly prepared and made fresh. Lauren thank you so much, you made me day. Bada ba ba ba….. I’m loving it!!!

Went to the Merrick McDonald's sat there online with nobody ahead of me for 5 minutes waiting for somebody to take my order then had to wait an additional 10 minutes sitting in a parking spot waiting for my food to be brought to me somebody knocked on my window I open my window they walked away then came back and gave me my food horrible horrible experience I would never go to the Merrick McDonald's again
Service was great, but the fish tasted like it t was repped to warm up instead of doing a fresh drop and asking me to wait..

The staff here is friendly and the restaurant is usually clean. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because there isn’t a drink station in the lobby.

This is a pretty good location. So far they haven't messed up any of my custom orders. The food is always great, for a MacDonald's.
As usual, the food was good and the drive thru staff has improved. The person who took my order spoke very clearly over the loudspeaker. In addition, the order was completely correct! Keep up the good work!
The drive up window had a long line of cars waiting to place their order but it moved very quickly. However exiting the parking lot is dangerous because of the large amount of traffic on Merrick road.
Decent service. Had a craving and they took care of it. The place is pretty much typical of most all McDonald's. Service is consistent and solid.
Service is really nice. The food was perfectly done and the ambience here was really nice! They even have a covered outdoor seating area. One con is that it's a bit more expensive than most McDonald's (around 30 cents more for everything) but that's not really anything.
McDonald's are pretty much all the same menu and price wise but the differences are in the cleanliness and the service ... In those areas I believe the Merrick McDonald's is one of the better ones! The people are friendly... The service is fast and usually correct... And what really shows if the place is clean or not in my opinion... The bathrooms here are clean!
Breakfast at McDonald's is always good. Had a mocha frappe. Very good. Good on a hot day. Their cinnamon bun is just ok. Not soft enough and the icing is off. Noticed they don't have a soda fountain. Was very surprised at that. Place was immaculate. Parking is good. Handicap opposite the door.

Not sure what was going on yesterday, as this location is usually on point. I'm closer to Freeport location, but go out of my way to go to Merrick location. I did a mobile order & chose to use drive through for pickup. I saw the customer ahead of me racing back in with a sandwich in his hand. So I parked in a space to check my order. Glad I did, as I was shorted a value meal! I was not happy, because now I had to get out of the car, which is exactly what I didn't want to do for the whole reason of mobile ordering & drive through pickup! Okay, so they give me thr missing meal. Just as a side note, when I arrived home, one sandwich was put together sort of sloppily. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident. As I said in the beginning, they're usually a very good location.
I order a 2X Quarter Pounder w/cheese. I get mine plain aka 'cheese only'. Which means they pull an old burger out of the drawer and slap some cheese on it. I'm tired of getting old burgers everytime at any McD's restaurant I go to. Fries were hot and fresh drink was cold. $12 for a rotten burger. Up with that I will not put!
They offer No sales whatsoever! As all the other McDonald's Franchises constant offer more of better deals. Very pricey!
The amount of times we have ordered In person, drive thru or uber eats they never remember the sauce. What is worse is we pay extra for sauce on uber eats and recieve none! Such a frustrating experience everytime.

I only ordered a shake, fries, and got a 20 piece chicken nugget. Everything was delicious because the food was warm (actually, it was very hot) but i was only given ONE bbq sauce. One bbq sauce for TWENTY nuggets? Who in their right mind would think 1 bbq is enough? And AFTER I actually requested it too?
Today drive thru took 30 min s mixed up order didn't give receipt said bringing coffee out move up blocked traffic had to run in stood there 10 min thsn they said coffeevon the counter,?

Who ever was working in the Merrick Drive Through tonight Feb 23rd get your game together what a poor performance
Always missing food or paet of the order. It happened more than 20x already. Never focused on people and their job. They changed garbage liners but never washed hands. I went to the guy and told him RIGHT AWAY and just in case he denied it. We already had a video but never posted it anywhere. When he apologized I removed the video already. Atleast that person knew how to accept mistake. But the Drive thru it is always a BIG MESS... Waste of time to come back just to get the apple juice or fries...

After a long day looking for a quick bite to eat stopped at this McDonald’s location on Merrick Rd in Merrick. My order was taken, get to the window gentleman reviews my order, never gave me the receipt as he thought I was the car behind me. Next window a lot of talking and distraction going on, I get a drink, get my food glanced in the bag I began to drive home. Get home less than 10 mins away, food is wrong 2 Quarter Pounds, 1 Big Mac, Fries and the Sprite which was literally Seltzer water. To top it off NOT MY ORDER HORRIBLE!
I watched them take back small frappes from the car in front of me, then they tried to give those to me even tho I paid for medium. And the woman at the window tried telling me it’s OK she didn’t touch them last I checked that’s not true service protocol and I took so long three cars left the drive-through before they paid
The fries here are always cold, taste like old nasty oil, never cooked right and they never give you the full amount when filling the fries containers. Everything else sub par as well. The fries are half the meals most the time and they cannot get them right or give you the right amount, it's why I don't go to this Mcdonald's.

Wow, I came in on a fairly empty evening (just me and one other customer) and ordered two 20 piece chicken nuggets and a large fries for my 4 kids. This is what they passed off as a large fries. None in the bag. None eaten on the ride home. This is inexcusable. I will not visit this location again.
This place has terrible service and is frequently out of menu items or their frape machine is down preventing others from being made. I drive further to avoid this location.

I delivery for Uber eats and the waiting time there is over 15 minutes , employees walking doing nothing , and it’s just ridiculous, don’t come to this Macdonald. Worst macdonalds ever Manager joe , is a mess when that manager is on duty .
Soggy lettice/too much mayo on my sandwich. This is why I prefer Burger King. Aren't you supposed to supervise the workers and their certain incompetence? Any clues on when to stop pouring and spreading?

Kid at the window threw ketchups into the car. Beyond rude. He had red Ronald McDonald hair too. You would think he'd be as nice and happy go lucky as he is. Service with a smile? Not so much. I'm Lovin' it? Nah. I'm skippin' it.
First of all, a quarter pounder it’s not the same as a quarter pounder with cheese, if the word cheese does not come out of my mouth that means I don’t want cheese, that should just be understood. Secondly, I don’t think saying “no pickles “ should be confusing in any context but looky looky Pickles right on top. So another words instead of a quarter pounder with no pickles I got a quarter pounder with cheese with pickles. And it was not busy. Thanks for ruining my meal.
No hamburger meat in cheese burgers I took out when I came home. That's fraud. Heath inspector should go there. Also better business bureau .
The staff here were chatting amongst themselves behind the counter. When they looked over and saw me it was as if I wasn't there. Maybe they thought I was "fanning" myself with the cash I was holding. It was insane to be ignored in a fast food restaurant. I walked out and they obviously didn't care. They were probably relieved they didn't have to stop their gossiping! Without a doubt the worst service experience I've had in quite some time. I have no idea if there was a manager there or not.
I mobile ordered just an ice coffee. There were multiple people working there and no other people on line. It took them 15 minutes just for my order. On top of that, they gave me the wrong coffee.
Here we go again with another poor example of customer service. I just called the store to let them know that there was a mistake on my receipt from the drive through. She sounded EXTREMELY annoyed and says she can't talk to me now and that I should call back at 5 when she gets off???? REALLY???? Somehow, I don't believe this is how McDonald's trains their managers to handle customer concerns/complaints.😠
Packing slip inside bag said correct order. They sent just plain bagels. Called twice and Tom is blaming it on uber when it is their worker that put wrong food in bag. Again Packing slip in bag. I will call corporate office
Worst drive-through ever… They take your money and make you pull to the side… If it’s not ready, then hire more people the idea is a drive-through not drive sit and wait… I ordered a quarter pounder and fries… Nothing special… If you can’t even make what’s on the menu what good is it?
Horrible customer service. Rude staff and especially the new assistant manager. Will make a point not go back here. the service has gone down in the last few years since Julie the old manager left. McDonald’s needs to train their managers and employees on customer service and satisfaction.
The lady taking my order was nice.... the lady handling the food was very rude. She didn't greet me at all, she was throwing my order at me the whole time... no utensils like straws for my drinks or napkins. 👎👎👎
Been going here for many years usually very good in the daytime. Visited at 830pm Saturday night 3/4/2023 dining area was filthy spilled soda all over floor making your feet sticky. Bathroom was disgusting had not been cleaned in hours. Asked to speak to the manager about the situation. Her response was we will clean the place when we close she didn’t even care about what I had to say. I told her that that was unacceptable. Then she sends a worker to tell us and other customers to hurry up and finish the dining area closes at 9pm while we are still eating. Very poor management.
Ordered the McDonald's app, went to the drive thru to pick it up. Everything minus the happy meal and drinks were in one bag. I questioned that everything was in there, they read everything off to me that it was. About 10 minutes into my drive home, it wasn't. I called and spoke with someone letting them my 20 piece nuggets and plain cheeseburger was not, they apologized and offered to leave a note to pick up at another time or I could come back, I told them I would come back as its someone's meal. They told me only the drive thru was available, and offered something on the house, which we accepted. The line was stretching out onto Merrick Road, annoyed and displeased we waited while eating our food in the car. It took 15 minutes, I told the woman at the window you could've told me the line was that long. She offered me something else, we declined as we just wanted to go. When we arrived to the ticket window, I observed through the glass a male worker having a full blown cellphone conversation throwing his hands up and rubbing his face like he was in some sort of argument, his hands on his face and cell phone and then handing me my food..... When he was done with the conversation, he opened the window and gave me a card for a free meal for the wait at the drive thru, then started telling me how the manager never usually gives new items for customers who drop their food and getting 40 piece nuggets and a free meal card is a kiss! (He said this in one of the most condescending tones of voice imaginable) I told him, it wasn't 40 pieces, it was a 20 piece nuggets and a plain cheeseburger and I didn't drop a thing, you guys dropped the ball in giving it to me even after I questioned how it all can fit in one bag and read everything off like it was done. He look puzzled and whispered to someone else standing out of view of the window. He then apologized and said it was another order, I checked the bag to make sure it was 20 piece nuggets and a plain cheeseburger inside. I said to him, what about the courtesy McFlurry the manager offered me over the phone. He looked confused and then walked over the machine and saw it sitting there. He apologized again and told him no need, thanked him and left. We weren't even hungry anymore as our appetites were lost, worked out as the food given was most likely from our order 30 minutes prior as it was cold and hard. McFlurry seemed fresh though as it wasn't melted.
Worst Customer Service, Worst Manager, Worst team after 9pm. We received the Worst Customer Service tonight 2/4/202; after placing an order on the Mobil app, the guy at the window asked me to park on the side to wait; 20 minutes later, nobody came with the order. I returned to the drive-thru since they closed the main door at 9 p.m. The attendant reported that the order was not ready! I had to wait for another 10 minutes. The manager refused to disclose her name and apologized coldly. Don't waste your time or frustration by going to McDonald's at 1813 Merrick Road, Merrick, NY 11566, and waiting for orders for more than 30 minutes. "They talk over you when you drive up to order," I agree.
I just went through your drive thru. I ordered 2 sandwiches and asked for a cup of Big Mac Sauce. The person at the register said they charge $.75 for the sauce. I said I've never been charged before. I asked for a manager and Kenzie (refused to give me her last name or her managers information) came to the window. When she approached the window she said "yes". So I tolder her that I was never charged for the sauce before and her answer was "We always charge for Big Mac Sauce". She then gives me my order and the Big Mac Sauce that I was charged for was 1/4 full, so I asked her to fill it up. She looked miserable the whole time. She refused to give me anyone's information that was above her. Her customer interaction skills are terrible and she should not be a customer facing employee, none the less be in charge of other employees. Order # is 1345 at 1:41pm. Hopefully her boss will have a conversation with her on how to communicate and treat customers.
Horrible service. I ordered using the online curbside service. Upon arrival I waited 8 minutes without the food being brought to me. Upon entering the store, I advise cashier who promptly attempted to give me the food of another customer who had just returned my order. I advised that was not acceptable and to provide a new order for me. The cashier appeared surprised I did not want an order just returned by someone else. That kind of service is patently unacceptable.
I ordered through the drive thru, they got most of the order wrong, with some food wrong like apple pies, drinks and they left things off my order like a cheese and chicken burger. While the food we got everything looked thrown together like the cheese nearly all off, and over sauce the Chicken sandwich with a massive glop of sauce that spilled out. When I pulled up, the young man had dried mucus all across his face, wanted to argue his mistake with booger cover face and ask for the receipt which showed my order was indeed wrong, and gave me the receipt back all cover in chocolate or what not. Had to wait a long while for my corrected meal and I didn't even get an apology. Bad service with a bad attitude, I won't visit this McDonald's again. I should ask for my money back and left.
This has to be the SLOWEST McDonald’s in all of New York… it’s insane how you can be in the the drive thru line for over 10 mins without a single car moving… what exactly are y’all doing in there cause it’s clearly not making the orders.

Came to the dining hall with my year old granddaughter it was locked around 9 pm Door would not open A man comes behind us opens the door and he gets service! Manager opens door and says sorry we are closed. I said but I was here and you seen me trying to get in and you let him come in and order. Do you see something wrong without me saying it? My granddaughter was hurt!! Mean while she locks the door after he comes in! But I couldn't get back in! hmmmmm
What happened to this McDonald's? It used to be so good! The service has gone to s$it and the food is atrocious! I live in Freeport and would go out of my way to visit this McDonald's, when I have one closer to me, just because the food and service was nicer. I can make my peace with bad service, but the food isn't cooked properly! The last 2 times, my burger is pink inside!!!! The container was falling apart from all the grease. Disgusting! Do better! Seriously, did management change or just give up? Original review from 2 years ago. ok I know it's a McDonald's and giving it 5 stars is probably insane to most people. However, when I compare this location in Merrick to the many other locations I've visited, it's worth the 5 stars. This is the only one I'll go to from now on. Quick, clean and as fresh as McDonald's fast food can get.
