I've been there at least a dozen times and always had excellent service and surprisingly good food. The ice cream is always great but even the grilled food was fantastic!
I ordered a Oreo cup section and they are out of this world good also thy have a heath cupfection that may be better it's a toss up depends on what you like
Good food and friendly associates. When you order something frozen they prepare it at the window. Always good, no drips. Very pleased
I love this DQ. The service is always great. My food is always fresh. I forgot my cell phone once. They gave it back untouched and just how I lost it. The waitress at the counter was very nice and knew the menu.I believe the name on the receipt was d andre, if I butchered her name I'm sry. Her service was so good I had to leave a good review. I'll definitely be going back.
This place is by far the best DQ in Madison. The newer Dairy Queen does not hold a candle to this one. The lobby is nice and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Me and my friends go EVERY weekend now. And their cakes are so gooood!!
I had the best experience with this location today. I ordered a birthday cake with some pretty specific instructions and the result was above and beyond what I asked for. Ceirra took excellent care to make sure her product was beautiful and perfect and I am so grateful to her for making probably one of the best cakes I've ever gotten. Also, even when there was a little mishap when we went to pick it up she made sure to make it her priority to fix the problem quickly and efficidntly. I was very very satisfied with the service and the product and would definitely go back to Ceirra with my business! Thank you Ceirra!
If you ever grew up on Dairy Queen then you can relate to this review. Nowadays I'm assuming this is current policy to align the ice cream inside a tray on the cone, and I get it ... it's the drip tray, but we like our cones to fill the rim of the cone, and lick before it drips ! However Dairy Queen gets 3 stars ,but the place of business gets 5, because the owner of this location was very accommodating, and that was appreciated!
The Blizzard was excellent ! She mad it just the way I asked her to. Unfortunately I there were two groups of people who didn't look at the menu to decide what they wanted until they got to the cashier. This is sad because each group had a 5min. or more wait in line. The Blizzard made it all better ! 🤗 😁
Love our $6 meal deals! Love these sweet employees, too! They've been so good to us through these stressful days of the pandemic and the chicken strips and gravy (& sundaes!!) are just great! 💐⭐💐
Went through the drive thru. Ordered a chocolate dipped cone for myself, a hamburger combo for my son and a vanilla shake for other son. Everything was made to order and was delish. Lets face it ... their ice cream machines are always working unlike ... well you know who.😁
The hamburger I got was very good. The French fries were good. They weren't soggy like other places are. Wanted a slushy but the machine was down.
The male manager was busy. Receiving drive-through orders. He took our counter order, very thoughtful. In business, the public is always watching the activity of all employees. Especially when the staff is busy and they are waiting. The young lady filling ice cream cup orders at the windows. Did not use cup extenders when blending ice cream and topics. The attendant was sloppy and barely blended the mix. Blender was jumping around because she did not have the cup inserted correct. Topping flung all over counter and blender. She did 4 or 5 the same way. She had ice cream all over her hands and cups. So very unsanitary and sloppy. I'm so glad we went inside to read the menu and not ordered at the drive-through. She needs to be retrained, respect her job, handle food in a sanitary way. Tested on the do and don't of work. Her work ethics and customer value are so unfulfilled. I know she was busy, that is NO reason for her lack of work ethic or food sanitation. She had the wrong top on with baggy soppy sleeves that kept getting in her way to work without dragging them on the counter. Long fitted sleeves would have worked better. The dress code needs to be made clear. She was not a polite voice at the window. So sad this was a not our nice trip because of my comments are clear. Mary Ann
I called today because I needed a peanut butter birthday cake. They did not have one already made. Thankfully, the lady on the phone said “she can make you one today and do you want the cake to have anything on it?”. Let me tell y’all I was so excited and grateful for everyone involved in making this cake so willingly and promptly. I believe I spoke with Shirley! That is awesome customer service!! Great job Dairy Queen!!
The workers are really friendly and the blizzard was great
Clean establishment and hot food with good ice cream.
If you are specifically going for blizzards, THIS is the Madison location to go to - they do it right and are super friendly at the counter! We go every week after the other location in Madison shorted us repeatedly on candy pieces, even after asking and paying for extra. This location will make sure it’s done right, right down to the very last spoonful without having to ask for anything extra! Bravo!
4 piece sweet and spicy chicken with french fries was okay, BOGO Blizzard offer had the short handed staff overwhelmed, dine in eating area was dirty with meal trash and tables needed to be cleaned. Kind of disappointed, but Blizzards made me happy.
Their ordering speaker was down, so the line was moving a bit slow. They were also out of cheesecake so I couldn't get what I originally wanted, but I did like what I ended up getting instead.
Dairy queen in Madison has actually gotten better. They have new management and staff that cares. Before when my family and I went, the staff was playing around and the place was a mess! Keep it up!
Was having an Oreo ice cream cake for my mother's birthday, tried ordering online, they said online they needed 2 days to add writing to the top of the cake. Went in to just grab one. The cake decorator came out and even said I can do this right now. She even had a better joke to put on the cake. My mother was turning 70, so we were trying to come up with a witty top to it. The cake decorator killed it. Happy 35th birthday, plus shipping and handling. I will be going back to this location. It was the one on Hwy 72, in Madison.
Stopped by drive thru and got dessert
I wanted to ice cream cone and sit in peace in relax and enjoy my ice cream. However there were only 2 employees there so they were closing is said that nobody can work. A restaurant is keep it open for the hours it should be open for.
This Dairy Queen is located in a Texaco gas station. There is indoor seating. However, I normally use the drive-through. The drive-through service is fast and friendly. The burgers and chicken strips are good, and the blizzards are my family's favorite. This DQ seems to skimp on the mix-ins compared to other DQs, however they are still great.
This location is okay, not the best. Don't get me wrong I freaking love the DQ, but this location needs some updates and food quality needs to be up to party with the rest of the DQ locations. It's definitely better than the one in Athens.
Awesome, just wished they would get there chocolate ice cream machine fixed. Just left when you have to ask them to put ice cream on your cone. Not to happy with my last visit
For how long the line was, my food came out pretty quickly... but I watched the line cook mess up my order (a plain cheeseburger) then take it to the back to fix it by just sort of wiping it clean. Still had mustard and ketchup all over the wrapper. Not a big deal all in all, but if I just wanted ketchup and stuff wiped off I would have done it myself.
Blizzards are getting very skimpy on the candy. We ordered 3 and no one even could tell what type of candy they had in them. Very disappointed. I wouldn't have written this review if it hadn't happened already 4 times.
Store smelled musty and the dining area isold. Floor was sticky. They need a deep deep cleaning. They were out of all beverages except coke
DQ is known for delicious ice cream and frozen treats. Not top of the line service. Decent food at fast food prices. I've never been in a Dairy Queen I didn't think could be a little cleaner.
Generally good service, but don't bother getting a large blizzard at this location. They struggle with that cup size and it always has less than the medium. I forgot that tonight and accidentally ordered a large. These pictures show the blizzard before I ate any. My finger shows where the blizzard begins. A lot of empty space between there and the top. If you order a medium it usually is overflowing. I only ever get Oreo blizzards when I come here, so I can't vouch for the food. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to not waste money on a large blizzard.
I rarely give this critical of feedback, but in this case it is well deserved. From the foul-mouthed teen taking out the trash, to the drive through employee working the window, this place needs some serious re-calibrarion. They won't be getting a repeat from me for some time.
Not once but twice they have got my blizzard wrong. One two different occasions, it was wrong and didnt find out till we got home, well not sitting in drive thru for another 20 minutes.
Drive thru service isn't the best. The young lady caught a unnecessary attitude when I asked her to put my drinks in a drink holder. She handed me one drink and before she made the other drink I asked her to put them in a holder. There were no cars behind me so not sure what her problem was or how I was inconveniencing her. Terrible service. Haven't been back to that DQ since.
Blizzard was like a milk shake no MMs in it. The girl said she made it and put 6 scoops in it. The dipped cone was so thin that it was dripping all o er me before I got out of parking lot.
Floor was gross, with water and garbage on it. Multiple dirty tables with garbage, and food on them. Staff was nice, but they were all hiding in the kitchen eating ice cream themselves. Some of them should definitely have been cleaning up the seating area. From what I saw of the kitchen floor, it was filthy as well. This place would probably get closed down for sanitation if an inspector ever came in.
Brought my grandkids to get ice cream. It was good however it was very cold inside. We went outside to eat. My daughter went back in to place an order to go. She slipped and fell in a huge puddle as she walked around the corner by the table. She came out in tears without her food. I naturally asked what was wrong. She told me she was hurt and what happened and they were bringing the food out. I went inside to see what happened and the lady told me some kids spilled stuff on the floor and my daughter took a pretty hard fall. Long story short, I asked if the manager did an incident report incase she had to get her leg and arm looked at and she told me no. She asked the owner at the Texaco and she said no. So I did have to take my daughter to the ER. She’s getting a scan and X-ray and has really bad bruising. Not sure how this will go but their insurance should pay her Dr bill. Not sure how to address it since they refused to do an incident report.
Ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard— it was basically chocolate milk. Went back inside and the person at the front was rude— didn’t say “how can I help you...” had an attitude when asked to remake the blizzard. She slid the new one across the counter while walking off. Woman at the drive thru was doing every job (and was the only friendly employee!) even though there were 3 teenagers in the front who could’ve helped out. The counter was dirty, covered in crumbs & toppings.
They do not speak English and got our very simple order wrong. Will not be coming back to this location.
My husband and I and my daughter stopped here to get my daughter a kids meal. We had to wait a long time in line to order a food, the only thing was there was no line. Ordering my food was confusing and unprofessional, the kids now was horrible. Fries were cold and not the correct serving, the chicken tenders were overcooked. The blizzard that we ordered had candy only at the very top and the rest was just vanilla ice cream. The young man that gave me my food acted very weird giving me my food, gave me weird looks, did not smile once and seem to have attitude. I will not be going back to this dairy Queen anytime soon. They need to hire teenagers that actually have respect for themselves and want to work.
Go somewhere else. The food is average. The staff is mostly young adults whose attitude are hit and miss. The prices are what you would expect for Dairy Queen ice cream and food. So why the low rating. Read some other refuses. This places smells like literally sewage. There is a grate right next to the drink station that I swear leads into the sewer. I've never gone into this place and not had it smell awful. Just not a great atmosphere.
Chicken overdone and dry, chili dog tasted off like cleaner or something. Place is dirty and most importantly the staff was rude! Idk why but very rude and standoffish every single interaction. I tried to be extra polite to change the tone but didn't help. Bathrooms in the gas station are really terrible, could hardly stand to be in there because of the smell. They have septic or sewage problems or something.
Waited for over 20 minutes in the drive-thru. I would have left but I had hope they would move on quicker. They didn’t! Please hire more workers or train workers to be more proficient. Ice cream cone was good, but over $3.50 for a small dipped cone? Wow!
The person at the drive through is very nice, but her English is terrible. Blizzards melted fast too, like the ice cream was off.
The lady that was working the window on 1/23/25 was not professional at all. Some how when she was giving the receipt and card back to us it slipped out and fell into our car. When telling her we didn't have our card she said I gave it to you and walked off. We searched and still did not see the card so we waited to ask again. She seemed annoyed that we were concerned that we did have our card nor did she even say let me look to see if it is still on the counter. She saw us still sitting there and would not return to the window. We pulled ahead to get out and look for the card. We found the card but the way she handled the situation was like get out of my line I told you I gave you your card so go. No compassion or concern. Teach your employees how to properly hand the customers their cards. Nobody can afford to loose cards right now. Because however she thought she handed our card back failed and no cards should ever just slip out and fall in one's car.
They did not include everything in my order. When our dasher asked if there was a drink, they said no, but we did order a drink. They also left out our dipping sauce.
Filthiest restaurant I've ever been in. Took my granddaughter. We went to the bathroom to wash our hands. Disgusting! I took her out! Noticed as we left that nothing had been cleaned for a very long time.
Have tried to go to this location several times this past year. Because it is closest to our home, we tried again this evening. At 7:40PM this evening we tried only to be told the kitchen is closed. At other times, this location is lights out or no one answering the intercom sometimes hours before their posted closing time. It’s infuriating!
If I could I would give this place 0 stars because I’m 5 months pregnant and I had been craving Dairy Queen all day today and this was the closest one I ordered a dirt pie blizzard which was already halfway melted when they handed it to me it was 95% vanilla and little to no chocolate but I still ate it and gave them I chance I finished it and I went to go eat my fries and I was two fries in and I found a black hair in my fries keep in mind my hair is blonde and short but this was almost shoulder/mid back length so I went back through the line only to be greeted by the rudest woman I had ever met in my life she was an Indian woman with long black hair I told her I found a hair in my fries and she didn’t even take them out of the bag at all before saying “there’s no hair in these” I said yea there is and she just kept going back and forth with me about it when I said just take them out of the bag and you will see a very visible hair on these fries and she just looked at me with the dirties look and she says I can get you some fresh fries like no why would I want fresh fries when there was litterally hair in my other fries you ruined my appetite and I said can I just get a refund please and she just looks me at me and goes “fine” and basically threw my change at me and closed the window and just stared at me until I left like Dairy Queen you need better employees and not ones that treat their customers like absolute trash keep in mind this wasn’t just a worker this was a damn manager like seriously come on
Just went to get a Frosted Sugar Cookie Blizzard. I get home and take a bite of my blizzard and they made it with ice cream cone pieces instead of the cookies. They should have told me they were out of the cookie pieces instead of just putting something random in my blizzards. Not happy at all.
Said dining room was closed. So my family and I had to sit in our car to eat as we watched several couples walk in and be seated while they ate. Will never get my business ever again!!
This place is terrible. The manager was on facetime on her phone while my burger sat under the heat lamp. When I finally got my food, the tomatoes were just a few tomato chunks, not slices. Lettuce was the same way. Plus, it was cold. Lazy employees and gross food. Will never be back to that dairy queen location!
I usually love Dairy Queen but this location is not good. I have tried to go through the drive thru twice now only to be ignored. I am not sure why they can't seem to work a drive through window but if they are not going to use it then they need to put a sign on the microphone saying it's out of order. Obviously this place has bad management.
OK so I go there to get a cone. Ice creams to soft for a cone has to be a cup....no issue just make it a strawberry milkshake. Then I ask for the 2 for 5 prentzles and queso and the burger no pickles. They ask me if I want to make that a meal it's cheaper....ok sure. Get to the window they made the burger a meal didn't give me the prentzles and game me a small shake. When I try to correct them I obviously just ruined her day cause the girl there couldn't have cared less. Then snaps at me about how they don't have butter for their prentzles....ok that's fine I paid for them I'd still like them. Tell me pull up and after 5 mins basically throws them in my car, mind you I was literally the only car there....so no it wasn't busy. I pull over cause I know this is gonna be fun burger had pickles, prentzles were ice cold. I said screw it and drove on. My shake was ok will I got about half way and got a nice brown chunk of God only knows what! Needless to say I won't be back!
Food was gross. Guy at the counter messed my order up 3x. Kid working the drive through was literally smoking weed inside the restaurant while i was waiting for my order.
My wife and I recently had a terrible experience at this Dairy Queen. We ordered a peanut buster parfait to go. As we started walking out to the car, we noticed the ice cream was completely melted - almost like a plastic dish full of milk. My wife went back inside and asked the manager if we could have a replacement with non-melted ice cream (a reasonable request, I'd assume?). The manager was incredibly rude to my wife. She suggested to my wife that "the reason the ice cream is melted is because of the hot fudge - ice cream melts when you put hot fudge on it." My wife pointed out that the ice cream was melted as soon as we received it. She continued to argue with us, asking "where's the rest of it?". Implication: We were trying to scam them out of a free parfait. My wife pointed out that the ice cream did not go beyond the top of the container when we got it. After finding out who made the parfait, the manager took the defective parfait and flung it angrily into the trash. The employee then embarassingly made us a new one. Our replacement parfait was fine. We received no apology or explanation for the incident. If anyone from this DQ franchise (the Madison store, adjacent to the Texaco station on Highway 72) is reading this review: Don't patronize your customers. Most people know ice cream will melt when it gets warm, and may even melt faster when it comes in contact with hot fudge. Our problem was that, had we simply ordered a dish of plain vanilla ice cream, it would have been melted when we received it, presumably due to an equipment issue. To the manager specifically: We understand you might have been having a bad day, or bad week, or bad year, but there's absolutely no reason to treat your customers (and your employees) like garbage. I'd encourage potential patrons to skip this store and go to the DQ on University Drive in Huntsville instead. You'll find that store much friendlier and cleaner.
This visit was a disaster. I am cutting back on carbs, fried foods, etc but a friend recommended the new rotisserie chicken bites as a healthier option while out and about. I went to DQ drive-thru, the sign showed the bites on a new marketing photo but no price. I ordered (clearly) 2 of the 6 piece chicken bites and just one bottle of water as both boxes of chicken were for me. I was told to pull around for my total. I pulled to the window and was told "that'll be $19.xx, almost $20!) I immediately thought I'd screwed up by not knowing the price first but if it was on me for not asking then I felt I should just pay it, which I did. When I was handed my TWO BAGS however, and I felt how heavy they were I knew it was at least a lot of chicken. This is where it gets good. I pulled over in the lot to open the first box, it was 6 huge fried chicken TENDERS with fries and toast. The second bag/box, the same! I parked, walked in, waited forever as there was no line but the young lady just went about her way and said I'll be with you in a minute. OK........I'm patient. Usually 🙄. She finally came over, I explained the mishap and she's just like "yeah, so what you don't want this?" I said no I ordered the rotisserie bites alone with one water, no combo. She immediately said "WELL the bites cost more than the strips" (implying I should just take the "cheaper" food rather than getting it replaced and me paying the difference to upgrade (remember it was already almost $20 😳). I said look I'm not eating carbs or fried foods so I just want the rotisserie chicken I ordered. She said "you don't want fries?", to which I said no ma'am. She takes my HEAVY $20 sacks of food, tosses it, and as she's in the back I look up to see that the price of the chicken is on the menu that's inside....guess what? The rotisserie chicken bites was CHEAPER than the strips, especially after you remove the combo. She comes back with a tiny little brown sack that I opened and it had 2 little cups with 6 little chicken bites each (about the size of chic fil a nuggets) remember, I've spent $20 at this point...she says have a great day. I said ma'am these are actually quite a bit cheaper according to your sign. She grunted, walked to the register, punched in some misc info and handed me approx $4.50 which left me spending about $15 for 12 "bites" and a water. I walked away, it wasn't worth the time or effort beyond this.
This is the worst Dairy Queen that I have ever been to. I have lived in this area for 8 years now and the service has never improved. The ice cream is good but workers never seem friendly and take forever even when you are the only car in the drive thru. Would not recommend.
It is trash. I ordered a burger without extras, but my burger was covered in every extra and condiment on this planet. It took me longer to order than to eat. My blizzard tasted nothing like Reese’s and it was as hard as a rock. Did not have marshmallows for s’mores blizzards. Thanks a lot DQ!
This place has the worst customer service in the whole entire world. I ordered a cake 2wks before but wasn't made till the minute when i came to pick it up and it looked nothing like what i ordered. Then the mananger who was actually making that last-minute cake cane out, she started yelling at me and calling me a liar for asking for what i actually ordered. I will never ever ever go back to this place and i advise everyone to avoid it especially when it comes to ordering cakes from them. Actually this places smells so bad and the floors smell funky.
Normally everything I order is good but tonight I tried the honey bbq chicken strips and they were awful. They taste bad and smell bad and not to mention they were too spicy my mouth is still on fire. I ordered a 6pc and could only stomach 1pc it was that bad and had to just throw the rest away. Won't do that again.
My fav DQ meal: Honey BBQ Chicken. Crispy chicken strips drenched in their honey bbq sauce, french fries (got the onion rings instead, Heavenly!) and buttered toast. This location? Every time I have gone thru the drive-thru (C-19 time) the speaker person gets the order correct. I drive to the window to pay/pick up? The orders? Fails. I get plain chicken. The toast NEVER is buttered (I have ordered this same meal at DQ's in 6 other locations & other states...thanks, Athens' DQ). So...I have to wait while my order is repaired. Three times in a row. Why does the person taking the order, who also takes my $ and gives me my order not CHECK IT BEFORE HANDING IT TO ME? Simple enough.
Pulled up to the window 45 minutes before closing. It was a bad start because the speaker was not working. When I pulled to the window I saw employers cleaning the machines and they didn’t even bother to come to the window to ask how what I needed. This location should be closed and condemned!!!
This place has terrible customer service. Waited in the drive thru over 10 mins and no one waited on me. Pulled around to the window a boy was sitting there on his phone. Asked for the manager or team lead and he said they didn’t have one. Then a older woman came around the corner and he told her what I said, she proceeded to deny it being possible that I was there that long. DO NOT GO HERE, THERE ARE BETTER PLACES YOU CAN PURCHASE ICE CREAM. GO TO HANDELS OR CULVERS. BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY!!! Edited to add to the owner who replied. No, I will not be back. I would rather give my business to anyone else that shows more pride in their work and actually WANTS business. You can’t make money if you don’t have satisfied customers. As can be seen multiple times in reviews, this is not the first time this has happened. Reviews apparently are not enough to make customer service better.
Store closes at 10 PM. Went by at 730 PM on a Sunday only to find that they were not allowing anyone inside the store, and we had to use the drive through. When we went to the drive through, we were told that the grill was shut down, and the ice cream machine was "broken". We were basically refused service 2 and a half hours before closing.
This Dairy Queen is subpar. I like a blizzard from time to time and the service is always extremely slow. They are constantly out of one thing or another. If you go inside to order, be prepared to see the lack of cleanliness exhibited within this DQ. Additionally, the hours are not followed so do not plan to go to this DQ anytime close to closing.
Rudest place I've ever been, they slammed the windows in my face and got rude because THEY handed me my order wrong. Would never return and will discourage everyone to avoid.
Third time here in a row I have had to leave without my blizzard. First time they weren't making blizzards because it was too close to closing (35min before closing time). Second and third time waited 10 min I the drive through, then tried to go inside only to find it blocked off with 3 employees just milling around behind the corner. Going to Brewster down the street from now on.
Store needs upgrades and cleaned. Attached to a nasty gas station and the bathrooms were horrible with 2 nasty ans didn’t looks like they been cleaned in a long time with unknown object on floor could be po. Say the least did not use plus one was out of order. Went to wash hands and one sink had a cockroach in it alive. Very disgusting. I would stay away from this location.
Terrible everything. Their chocolate machine was down, so limited selection. Ok, that happens, even though you'd think an ice cream place would have this fixed quickly or a backup. Ordered a blizzard instead. After 10 minute wait for the car in front of me, who only ordered one blizzard, we received our order. It was 95% plain vanilla ice cream. Just enough ingredients on the top to make you think you actually got what you ordered. Oh and no napkins. They took the money, gave us the ice cream and closed the doors quickly, with no thank you or customer service skills exhibited.
Worst dairy queen ever. We came on April 26 at 9:35 PM and had to pull up to the window because no one would respond on the speaker. The teenage girl at the window was groaning and annoyed when she had to make our blizzards. Then we tipped her $25 because we figured she was having a bad night. We went back through a second time even after the bad experience because we wanted a brownie sundae and they refused to come to the window. We eventually pulled in the front after 5 minutes or so and saw the two drive thru workers crouched down and hiding near the tables!!! This is not the first bad experience I’ve had at this dairy queen either. Need some workers that will actually do their jobs.
I told myself I shouldn't even order food here. Horrible service. When discussing my order I told them whay I wanted i ordered the large rotisserie chicken bite basket. They handed me a bag with like 9 bite in it no fries said I didn't order the basket well in fact that's the only way to order it didn't offer to fix it anything. Besides the fact half the menu they don't offer anymore. I said so I paid for whay exactly they decided to read my order back I stopped them said I know what I ordered that wasn't for you to answer me just guve me my food so I ice cream so I can leave. Anywhere you go theses days there is a lack of customer service and care about people's food. I hate trying to go out to eat anywhere.
The 4 young adults, or maybe I should say older teens, took forever. They we rude and unattentive. The car in front of us took 15 minutes to get their food. When we pulled up our two blizzards we're half melted. When she did the "flip" unfrozen ice cream dripped our and I said it was half melted, she didn't care. My wife was in the vehicle behind me and hers was melted too. That entire night staff should be retrained or fired. The only reason I stayed was because we promised our kids DQ. It wasn't till after that encounter that we found out there is another DW not that far away. Oh, and the dinning room was closed and hour and a half before the posted closing time. Horrible experience.
I've never seen a staff who didn't care about anything so much ever. They were rude, inattentive. The food was horribly made. My friends chili cheesedog was garbage. The hot dog was over cooked and the chili was cold. The fries were cold. We didn't dare mention it to the staff because they clearly couldn't care less. There was a staff members child hollering and running around the dining room. And we weren't given a receipt to do the survey, with good reason apparently. Will NEVER return.
Ordered 3 combos and my burgers were not even warm lukewarm fries. I called them and they said they would warm up the food in the microwave. DON'T EVER ORDER OR EAT AT THIS DAIRY QUEEN! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! THE CHEESE WASN'T EVEN MELTED.
I went today for 2 blizzards. They weren’t the right size and one was the wrong flavor. Completely watery. Basically just flavored milk. I tried calling the store for a refund and they refuse to pick up the phone. They don’t have a voicmail set up.
Took my kids to get some ice cream and it took a bit of time through the drive through. No worries. Look in the window and the lady is putting the whip cream on top of one of our ice creams, cool. SHE WIPES HER NOSE AND THEN PUTS THE LID ON. Ok surely to goodness that’s not what I seen. Oh no, get home and there is snot on the lid. No no no.
I normally like Dairy Queen, but this was my first visit to this particular location. Not pleased. - I bought a hamburger and was charged for a cheeseburger. - The ketchup bottles aren't filled. The one at my table was empty, and the one I took from another table was almost empty. Some table didn't even have a ketchup bottle. - The water button on the drink machine is broken, but the employee insists that it isn't broken, you just have to hold it in place while you press down (hint: that means it's broken). - Any other place where I used a coupon for my meal and then, after eating, came back up to the counter with a coupon for dessert did not have a problem with it. But, to this location, one coupon per visit means I have to "come back another day" to use my other coupon. Wow... ...And these coupons were specifically for this location. Not pleased at all.
We ordered two chicken strip baskets and they forgot the gravy and toast. Went back up there and it too then 5 minutes and they only gave us gravy. While waiting, there were multiple people angry that they've been waiting 20 minutes for one meal. It was hot as balls inside the building. 0/10.
The car in front of us had to wait forever to get order placed..They pulled off after a long wait..My husband was calling inside to see if anybody would answer the phone, but when the car pulled off he hung up..we then proceeded to place our order. I wanted a banana split with one ball of ice cream instead of three..WOW!!!That became a big deal and the girl at window said it came in one size and I had to get the three balls of ice cream ..we said no ..alll we want is one ball instead of three and we actually had to go back and forth with her and her very bad attitude..So she makes the banana split the way we said..or so we thought ..get all the way home and I’m eating through the ice cream and whip cream and other stuff ..Guess what..NO Bananas!!!!..SHE DIDNT PUT ANY BANANAS on my BANANA SPLIT..REALLY???I called back to let them know about it and the manager blamed the owner saying that he gets frustrated/mad when they alter things….I had a whole medical reason for altering MY food that I paid for..I’m in disbelief!!!!3/13/2022
Someone from the health department needs to seriously sneak up this place. First off, I seen a teenager scratch his head, hard I may add, then turn around and make an ice cream cone for a customer in drive thru. No gloves, no paper wrap on the cone, no washing of his hands. Nothing but that same bare hand that scratched his scalp. Ewww. Then I seen a teenage girl scrolling on her phone, then she picked up the same customer’s food. Again no gloves, no hand washing. And the sad thing about all of this, is the owner, some Indian dude, was standing right there. He walked passed both of them, even when the girl was on her phone while handling drive thru. Just nasty!!! I left and never returned. Anyone who values their health should stay far away!!! Not worth it!!!!
After waiting in line for 15 minutes in the drive through I finally got to the speaker, the lady said can you please hold. We waited for another 10 minutes at the speaker and I finally said “hello” to make sure she didn’t forget about me. I’ve worked in fast food before and I know sometimes that can happen. She told me “I’m very sorry ma’am but our ice cream machine is broken so we aren’t taking any orders.” She didn’t ask if that’s what I was ordering or if she could get me something else. It’s ridiculous to have customers wait for 30 minutes because of having your ice cream machine broken, and to not inform your customers that it is broken when they pull up to the speaker. I don’t want to be a Karen and I understand that I chose to wait that long but I just think they need to have customer’s time in consideration.
My shoes sticking to the floor should have warned me this place is not clean. I never should have risked the soft serve ice cream machine. If you want to spend 2 days in the bathroom, go ahead and eat here.
My wife and I went here today after working all day. She ordered a chicken sandwich, and I ordered a flame thrower burger. The lady who took our order said it would take a few minutes, because the chicken had to cook for 6 minutes. But they would bring it out to us when it was ready. We said that was fine, we got our drinks and sat down. We ordered at 4:49 pm. At 5:24 I went back up and asked about our order. They had no clue, and had to go back through their orders to find ours. I heard her tell the people in the back they need to get this done. I wasn't looking for a discount or anything. But she literally brought it up, dropped it on the counter, and never once said sorry, have a great day, nothing! Needless to say, I will not be a patron here again!
They didn’t let me order food because they closed in 10 minutes and then my ice cream was runny. There was a guy behind the counter who was very rude and I seen them pack food and give it out in front of me.
Rude and the man at the window did not even try to understand what I was asking for. He instead told me what I should do next time upon handing me my ice cream. Asking for half the nuts on the top and half the nuts at the bottom of a sundae does not equate to double nuts. Please train your employees on basic customer service.
Terrible attitude during service. Only allowed ketchup no other condiments with fries. Yelled at the other worker and another language the whole time I stood, they are waiting. Not spoke, but was yelling at this man.
Didnt even eat here. Took my son inside the bathroom to wash his hands so we could eat. The bathroom was disgusting. There was piss all over the walls. Mold under the sink. There wasn't any soap to wash your hands, and everything else was generally filthy. If this is where employees are expected to wash their hands then the food is not safe to eat. The restaurant itself was pretty dirt as well. The floors were filthy, and there were napkins and trash everywhere.
I placed an order for my usual store on the app. Because I was in Madison, it redirected to this location. So I drove back to this place, and they never received my order even though the app showed they did. After showing them the order and all the employees standing around doing nothing for 20 minutes, one guy called someone and snapped a photo of my order, less than 5 minutes later they canceled it right in front of me. Didn't ask me any questions or anything, just canceled my order. My overall impression was that the staff are lazy and either don't know how to treat customers well or don't care about treating customers after they are responsible for some kind of mistake.
Service was horrible. There were 2 high school age girls at the cash register, initially they didn't even acknowledge my daughter and I standing in front of them because they were talking. Then one asked what we wanted "what is your order", I told her I was still deciding, literally 7 secs later she ask me again "are you ready what is your order". I looked at her in disbelief and looked back at the menu. The way she asked the way she looked... it was ALL RUDE! Will never go to this location again!
Food was average…. Service was horrible! No one spoke English fluently enough to be able to place your order. They got the order wrong then wanted us to pay more to fix it. Very rude at this place. Drive the extra few miles down the road to the DQ on County Line Rd. The difference of how these 2 locations is shocking! Really bad atmosphere at this location. The county Line Location is much more pleasant.
If I could give 0 stars here I would- ordered a 10inch cake 3 days in advance for a birthday- they didn’t have it when I arrived to pickup. Drove out of the way to this location because they’re one of the only DQ’s in the area that would make cakes in advance. Was lied to/ assured “oh no we have it” while they stood in the back texting wasting time because they in fact did not have a 10inch Reese’s cake in store- let alone decorated as I had ordered.
Waited 10 min for someone to appear on the intercom. Then after ordering, they tell me they ran out of the size cup I ordered. I tell them I don’t mind, just put the size in a larger cup, I’m not paying for a larger size. THEN he tells me he is out of chocolate for a dipped cone. Like you didn’t realize this when I was ordering?? The manager is running a completely unprofessional business. Lastly, the guy making the blizzards and cones did not put on gloves, not once. In fact, no one was wearing gloves and they were making cones. I will never go there again.
So I was really hungry and just wanted to get the kids some chicken and french fries while I stopped for gas. Clearly, their hours say closes 10pm. Well at 9:15 pm the whole place is closed and dark. So had to go with McDonalds because they don't like Sonic. Correct your time and staff appropriately. Night number 2, it's 8:09pm and your place is completely dark. Care to explain? .
