Being away from your own home is never much fun, but the bartender Lisa made the environment feel like home. Not only was the food fantastic, but the conversation was exceptional. Lisa made it feel like I was eating at a local home restaurant and she has known me for years. I am here for 5 days for work and I cannot wait to have dinner there again tomorrow. Being a Sunday it was quiet and she made me feel like I was at a family dinner. Five plus stars for the food and the companionship.

My first time here. Made a reservation as the downtown was having a 4th celebration. However it wasn’t really needed. Not sure where the poor reviews are coming from. Lisa was a great server, she was fun and helped with minor dietary requests. The rum punch was fun. I had the steak and veggies. Steak was cooked to order and veggies were crisp and cooked to perfection. Started with the spinach salad which was a perfect summer salad with blueberries, strawberries and goat cheese. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The hotel this place is situated in is also nicely decorated. Overall a good restaurant and reasonably priced.

We had an amazing birthday dinner for our daughter here. Our server Darcey was GREAT! Five star service - she took great care of us, gave excellent recommendations for dinner entrees and even sang Happy Birthday to our daughter with us (all while she was the only server for the entire restaurant AND the only bartender)! Will definitely be back again - especially to have the short rib entree - so delicious!

Tavern is open 7 days a week. Opens in am for breakfast, then opens at 4 30 for dinner. Dinning room is closed Sunday and Monday. Check web site for details. We eat in the tavern room, sitting at the bar. The bartender, Lisa is great. She keeps the party going. She does a great job servicing customers in her area.

We never had been to the Tavern but I knew my fiancé wanted to give it a try…..I made a reservation for two to celebrate his birthday… upon arriving we went into the restaurant which was very warm and comfortable but we stood there for way too long before someone greeted us. Finally a very friendly and upbeat server did acknowledge us and seated us in the bar area in a booth… again I’ll say I MADE A RESERVATION FOR THE TWO OF US.. not really in a bar setting. The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about…and truly the service also was less than mediocre BUT the waitress (server) was over the top!! She was very friendly and accommodating, almost as if we knew her forever!!!! She made our night! Thanks Lisa!!!! ♥️

Do not eat or drink here – the place is mostly awkwardly deserted. The few folks staying at the hotel wisely stuck to salads for food. Our 2nd round of tap beer was out. At a cost of $45 for 2 basic beers and a glass of wine which tasted like swill with no ambiance and a bartender who kept disappearing with less than 5 customers! We doubt that a Kitchen Nightmares and Bar Rescue re-do could help them –ultimately, maybe it wouldn’t matter due to the neighborhood. We only made the mistake of spending 1 night here and avoided this place like the plague for the rest of our stay.
