10/10 would eat here again! We eat here often and love it. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the ambiance it top notch. I love this place. I eat their sushi and have never had any stomach upset from it. I recommend anyone in the area give it a try.
Great value and variety. Consistently good food with easy parking and tables always available.
Very nice inside. Love the chandelier and koi pond. Super nice touches. Nice staff and their clearing service of each plate is amazing. I never even had to ask, great customer service. I gave the food a 4 and not 5 just because the salmon, prawns, noodles and stuffed mushrooms were just over cooked or not cooked enough. Otherwise everything else was amazing! The sushi quality too, for all u can eat 16.99$ what a deal!! Will be coming back. Highly recommend the mango jello wow ❤️
The Food was AMAZING and, the receptionist was nice I love the atmosphere and, the koi. I love the Veriety of foods ranging from Chinese to Japanese to Italian and American. Make sure to try the coconut shrimp.
The Grand Buffet in Redding is an excellent dining experience. The restaurant is very clean and well-kept, which makes the whole atmosphere welcoming. The servers were attentive, friendly, and made sure plates were cleared quickly and drinks stayed full. While it doesn’t have extras like a live koi pond, the focus is clearly on great service and a wide variety of fresh, tasty food. Overall, it’s a great spot for a satisfying meal in Redding.
This buffet is family friendly, welcoming and he selection of Asian foods is MASSIVE! They DO emphasize for you to not WASTE good, just take what you'll eat, take small amounts of foods you're not sure of and you can always go back for more, but the food is delicious, the staff was friendly and they were unbothered by our very excited and rambunctious little girls during lunch service. Oh and the sushi bar was really impressive for an all you can eat place. I came in with very basic expectations but was VERY pleasantly surprised! We'll definitely be back and recommend Grand Buffet to our friends!
Seems like every town on the US has a Chinese buffet, and Redding is no exception. This buffet offers all the usual food options including some American foods as well. The food will be fresh if you get here wisely near to opening, like 11:30 or before. I did and the food was all fresh and hot and the service was fine. Prices are up like everything these days.
Pretty damn good Chinese buffet. Definitely need to up the quality of the desserts but otherwise a solid buffet experience. Friendly and helpful staff is a warm welcome compared to a lot of other restaurants in town.
Grand Buffet turned out to be a pretty good spot overall. I spent about $20 on dinner and definitely got my money's worth in food. The variety was solid, and most of the dishes were really enjoyable. The only things I didn't care for were the crab sushi and the stuffed clamshell mix-they tasted a little off, like they had been sitting out too long. Everything else, though, was surprisingly good for the price. What really stood out to me was the staff. The workers inside were so sweet, and my waitress was honestly one of the best I've ever had. She made the whole dining experience much better, and I left with a really positive impression of the service. The downside was the outside environment. There were a few tents and homeless people gathered near the curb, which made the area feel a bit sketchy. I had to park on the other side of the store just to feel safer. Even though the place advertises 24-hour surveillance, a lot of the cameras looked damaged, and there was graffiti on the walls outside. That said, once I was inside, it was a completely different experience-clean, welcoming, and friendly. Because of the outside, I'd give it four stars instead of five. Still, the food, price, and service make it worth coming back.
Great spot for good Chinese buffet food! The quality really shouldn't disappointment. It's pretty great! Lots of variety and comfortable eating space. Service is quick and friendly. All kinds of food from sushi, Chinese to a little Italian (which might just be pizza) and they do a good job of all. I really appreciate the ribs. Senior discounts offered here! Deals for kids too.
Food wasn't as good as I kinda expected. Especially since it was over $50 for two people simply cause it was a Sunday. Employees were friendly enough and service was good but Food could of been better considering price. It was also kinda limited in options. Maybe we just picked a bad day to try.
⚠️ WARNING EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK ⚠️ When it's good it's really good but, when it's bad it's really bad. There's been times I've felt fine, my kids are fine, my husband's fine. Other times we're headed for the bathroom before we've gotten through to a second plate or have even left the place. I'd always wondered why but, brushed it off to maybe we're just processing our meals from earlier in the day. Not after tonight. Instantly my daughter and I didn't feel well after our first plate. We both went to the restroom and were in there awhile. She left eventually but, I still felt sick. Like I was going to throw up and pass out. While getting slowly dripped on from a leak in the roof above me. I finally got the strength to get up and go back to our table. It just got worse from there. We left and drove home in a hurry. My husband's stomach started to turn. Mine was still upset. Lucky for our kids they're still with strong young tummies. So it wasn't so bad for them. We got home. Hubs and I straight to the bathrooms. Not good for me, second round. Thought it was over and went to lay down. Bad idea, back up and back to the bathroom. Now I've gone from it coming out the back end to the front end. For my 3rd trip to the bathroom in a span of a hour. I used to like this place but it's too hit or miss. And after tonight, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. I'm wondering if it's soap in the food, spoiled food, or something. But somethings not right. And needs to be looked into with the health department. I don't recommend it here to eat til they fix the issue.
I filled the plates with a little of everything. The food was not good. The sushi looked good but I'm not a sushi person. My grandson said the fries were weird and wouldn't eat them. The baked salmon was in water and had no flavor. He said the jello was good. He's 13.
We went here because it seemed like a good place to bring children that want different things to eat. They were satisfied and enjoyed the buffet. They had a lot of seafood and the other folks there seemed to be eating a lot of it. We didn't have any ourselves. I thought the food was fair at best. What they lack in quality they make up for with variety. I would say this a good place to bring people that just need to be fed, especially kids that cannot agree on what they want to eat.
This Buffet has held lots of good childhood memories. I went yesterday with my father and very quickly realized that someone had passed away in the Buffet. They sat us regardless and had the body covered with a tablecloth. There is a level of disrespect for one's passing that goes into doing something like that, I was shocked and disturbed that they kept the Reastaurant open and allowed 2 birthday parties to continue in another seating area. I can't imagine how much closing down 3 hours early would cost them in revenue but it is something that should have been done without a second thought regardless of cost. I will not be going back.
The food is shit. If you’re not eating something extremely greasy then you’re eating something that no matter how much you chew it never seems to stop. Most of their garbage food is rubbery or barely edible and you should expect either food poisoning or an upset stomach after. And don’t get me started on the prices for that garbage it’s over $50 for two people around dinner time. Do NOT eat here.
Came in 40 minutes to closing and all the food was cold. Paid $45.02 just for me and my partner to eat a few cream cheese puffs because everything we normally have anywhere else was either cold, stale or rubbery. Asked for our check to be split into different tabs and when the check came it was charged together. Saw a employee putting wood boards with nails that act as spikes in front of the doors as there was still customers with young children right there, definitely a safety concern. Will not be coming back.
Horrible experience crawfish were brown on inside and not hot. All of their food was lukewarm. I complained and the lady said next time I should tell them while getting food really rudely. I told her that is not my job she said it was. I’m sorry but if you work a buffet it is your responsibility to make sure you are checking the food and replenishing it. Especially if it’s a buffet where food can breed bacteria if left out too long. Highly do not recommend food was disgusting. Will never go again!
