Asian Bowl is a vegetarian restaurant known for its unique Asian fusion dishes and friendly service. The Manchurian Sizzler and Roti Canai are highly recommended. Some found the portions small or some dishes oily, but overall, customers enjoy the flavorful food.

I went to Asian Bowl in Milpitas and wow, I’m still thinking about that meal which was entirely vegetarian and vegan!! Got the Thai Sizzler and Khou Sway and both were really excellent! The Thai Sizzler came out on this sizzling hot plate, you could smell the aroma Thai basil from across the table. The thai curry side had this perfect balance of sweet and spicy that I couldn’t get enough of. The crispy cauliflower was tender and crunchy on the outside. I’m a fan of their cooking methods, because this was really fresh and tasty! The Tofu Khou Suey was something I’d never tried before - it’s a Burmese coconut curry noodle soup. The lemongrass flavour hit me at every bite! Creamy but not too heavy, with this nice tangy kick. They topped it with fried onions and fresh herbs, plus a lime wedge that really brightened everything up. It was one of those dishes that’s both comforting and exciting at the same time. Service was solid and the place has a nice, relaxed vibe. The food definitely stands out from your typical Asian restaurant, especially for vegetarian and more healthy options. I’m already planning to go back and try some other dishes on their menu.
Edit : Ordered Togo from this place and I have upgraded the rating from 4 to 5 star. We order Gobi Manchurian and Farmers noodles . Both were excellent. 5/5 for taste. Was super happy to know about an Asian Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant nearby. Ordered Crispy Rolls/Spring Rolls and Pad Thai with tofu. I was told that Pad Thai has sprouts peanuts and veggies but did not find the veggies added , not sure if the order was heard incorrectly . Anyways both tasted good , there was no WoW factor. Slightly expensive /On par for the Ambience , taste etc compared to similar places. Definitely worth a try , will try again. Hopefully they give me a chance to upgrade the rating to 5* by improving upon taste
Very unique taste, great ambiance and quick service. Lots of options to choose from and dishes are not too expensive compared to some other restaurants in the area. Must try: Kimchi fried rice, Farmers noodles, Purple ocean fried rice, Mango boba tea
We are eating the 2nd time here and the food tasted even better than last time. We ordered Roti Canai, Malaysian noodle soup and Kimchi fried rice. Everything was tasty. More over the service is really great. The Asian guy at the reception is very courteous and helpful. Will definitely visit again.
The term "American-Indo-Asian" can describe the menu here. We had Mao Baos and Manchurian Sizzler, and loved both. That Mumbai Sandwich style chutney ir -kled vegetables hits a perfect taste s00dles as whitely coming back to have some more Manchurian Sizzler had both rice and noodles as well as fried and veggies. All tasted great! Service was quick and friendly. We were here for weekday lunch it wasn't crowded. Nice simple ambiance. Menu is really good with variety of options available. Must try place for vegetarians and vegans in the bay area.
We visited this place last Friday. We ordered Manchurian Sizzler, Malaysian Roti Prata,Passion Fruit Lemonade and Hazelnut Bliss. This place has good ambience and was not too crowded. The Malaysian Roti Prata was fresh, flaky and sauce was flavourful. Passion Fruit Lemonade was very refreshing and had real passion fruit pulp in it. The Hazelnut Bliss(Vietnamese Coffee) had a nice taste and we loved the flavor of the coffee. The Manchurian sizzler plate had Spring Rolls instead of fries(because they were out of fries). The spring rolls were crispy and tasty. The Veg Manchurian balls were crispy and had good taste. Fried rice and Noodles were a little bland but when combined with the sauce given both tasted very delicious. Everything was very tasty overall. But I think for 18$ the quantity was a little less(probably because of inflation, can't blame them). The fact that this place is fully vegetarian and all the dishes we ordered were flavourful, would make us go back to this place again to try out some more dishes. Best Indo Chinese food in Bay area.

Loved the 3 sizzlers we tried - Manchurian, tofu and Thai. Did really like the brownie as well. Please staff. Will be back again soon.
If you are looking for vegetarian Asian food, then this is the place for you. Gobhi Manchurian was crispy with right amount of spice and sweet mixed Chili garlic noodles was pretty good. Ocean fried rice was a bit on the bland side. If you order a spicy food to with it like Gobhi Manchurian then you will enjoy better
Great Sizzlers. We ordered the Thai Sizzler, Manchurian Sizzler and Brownie Sizzler. All of them were delicious, flavourful and the experience was fun. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend for a nice indo-chinese food experience.

A unique concept that brings together a variety of mainly Southeast Asian dishes in a vegetarian fusion style. While sizzlers are probably the USP of this place, the menu offers many other exciting options as well. It's a must-try for vegetarians and vegans, and they even offer Jain-friendly choices. The management and staff are warm, welcoming, and polite. They were kind enough to accommodate us for dine-in just before closing time. The ambience is cozy, pleasant, and well maintained. The pricing is reasonable, and the portions are good. Highly recommend this place for sizzlers, Asian, and Indo-Chinese cuisine--especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. The Khow Suey was awesome.

What a great vegan/vegetarian find! The Asian flavors were so great and all of the food tasted so good! The spice level was so perfect and the food was not greasy at all. We couldn’t believe this place has been there for almost 2 years. Owner was super friendly and really cares about making sure her customers enjoy the food. We’ll be back!
If you're craving flavorful Asian vegan cuisine, look no further! Ordered bunch of different dishes to try. Vegan Pho had noodles swimming in a rich, aromatic broth, infused with fragrant herbs and spices! Absolutely loved the Prata and curry combo. Manchurian sizzler is mix of bit of everything if that’s what looking for. Must try restaurant!!!
I stumbled upon this restaurant with my family accidentally. We decided to try it out and we really liked the food! It was so unique and good. I got the green noodles and paneer sizzler and it tasted really good. The only thing is the portions are a little small for a whole family but if it’s 2 people it will be really filling!

Visited My Asian Bowl for Dinner Yesterday with my parents and partner. We ordered 1) Thai Sizzler - 3.5/5 2) Hakka Noodles - 3.5/ 5 3) Basil Pad Thai - 4/5 4) panang Thai curry - 3/5 Firstly we were very happy to go to a full vegetarian Asian restaurant. The food tasted good. The only complaints is that the quantity is really less for the money we pay. The plates they serve us to eat the food is really small. The menu describes the dish in a certain way but do not have some ingredients. For eg: Pad thai did not have the bean sprouts, the thai sizzler mentioned pineapple rice but we got a plain basil rice or something of that sort. The person who waited our table was really sweet but a bit forgetful. He brought out the wrong dish to the wrong table. He took forever to get the food for some customers. But I could clearly see he was trying really hard. So hopefully the service gets better :) PS: A special mention to the people who own and work there at the restaurant. My mom and I were a bit scared when we saw a homeless as we exited the restaurant. We went back into the restaurant and the manager and people working there immediately came out, asked if he tried to harm us or if we have to call the police, made sure we got into our car safe. Thank you guys :) Looking forward to visiting th restaurant again :)

Located in the midst of Cisco buildings, this place is built to be an elegant place for having a quick and healthy lunch. The menu is an eclectic selection of popular food staples across Southeast Asia and India. The taste was quite good! I tried the shake tofu, which was nice, tender and flavorful. The chili garlic noddles was nice and generous. The place might be good for lunch, but not quite built for dinner. The interior deco was well put together but one would get the feel it’s been run down since. A chair was actually broken, for example. Random equipment in the bathroom. The service staff is trying to be nice, but you could tell they’d rather be doing something else. I’d definitely go there again, but for lunch quick in and out. May be order in from here. But not visit for dinner.
Asian Bowl offers a delightful array of vegan and vegetarian Asian cuisine. We savored the Crispy Cauliflower and Malaysian Prata, where the former, reminiscent of McDonald's nuggets, was passable, while the latter, accompanied by a luscious Malaysian gravy, stole the spotlight with its crisp yet fluffy texture—a definite must-try. For the mains, the Manchurian Sizzler, boasting a plethora of flavors and textures, proved to be a generous portion perfect for sharing. Meanwhile, the Vegan Pho delighted with its flavorful broth, offering a satisfying dining experience overall. Throughout, the service was commendable, but diners should exercise caution with the spicy chili paste/oil to avoid overwhelming the delicate flavors. Ratings: Crispy Cauliflower: 2.5/5 Malaysian Prata: 4.5/5 Manchurian Sizzler: 3/5 Vegan Pho: 3.5/5
Went here for dinner on a Friday. Tried their Bao, Manchurian Sizzler & lemonade. Bao - Yum! The flavours were spot on, the bao bun itself could be a little better but I would definitely go back for the Bao! Manchurian Sizzler - Mix of rice, noodles, curly fries, veggies and Manchurian balls. It was flavourful and their chili oil added the oomph I needed! Lemonade was tooooo sour. Service was extremely poor! It was slow, we never got any menus or water, they kept forgetting our orders, and it was just difficult to get a hold of them. Overall, I would only go back for the food.

Really had a lot of expectations from this place being a vegetarian. The rice paper rolls lacked basic flavor and the peanut dip was very different from how it should be. The Thai sizzler was another let down with huge uncooked doughy pieces of cauliflower. The noodle and rice were also over cooked with unbearable amount of celery in it.
Went in to eat here at Asian bowl and ordered the Thai sizzler, noodles, and bao buns. I’m giving two stars mainly because the bao buns were decent. Unfortunately, the Thai sizzler was disappointing. it wasn’t sizzling at all. It felt like regular noodles, rice, and vegetables placed on lukewarm cabbage. The taste was well below average. The menu mentioned pineapple rice, but there was no pineapple in the rice; it seemed more like basil rice or something else entirely. We’ve ordered from DoorDash before and the food was good, but the dine-in experience was very different. It felt like the staff had little interest in taking our order or serving the food. Based on this experience, I probably won’t be returning.
Very disappointing experience. I ordered the Manchurian sizzler, but it was not properly cooked — the Manchurian were uncooked from inside, and the overall taste was off. On top of that, there was a long delay in receiving the food, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The customer service was also poor — the staff seemed uninterested. Definitely not worth the money or the wait. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
