We had a really good experience here. The food was great, the service was very good and it had a nice atmosphere. We sat at the bar and the server was quick and had good suggestions. We went during happy hour.
Food: Was Great yummy a must try! Service: Was Excellent, she was nice and fast! Thank you Atmosphere: Was okay for a Sushi bar. Food was excellent once again 😋🤤😋🤤
Tried the Green Peas Sushi and Pumpkin Sushi. Pumpkin sushi was really good. Would never feel guilty after eating Sushi. Definitely recommended ✅ Updated on 11.11.2025 Added new photos after having tried the Mango Sushi, and Cucumber Avocado Sushi. It was really good. Staff was kind and helpful.
Best sushi place so far! Everything was fresh and delicious!
I wanted some sushi after a late night of working. This place was open until midnight, so I decided to give it a shot. I was politely greeted when I entered and the service was exceptional. I ordered the sashimi deluxe and the fish quality and portions exceeded my expectations. This will be my go-to for late night sushi in the future.
V Sushi has been a great addition to my lunch rotation. It's hard to find good fresh sushi and the plates and rolls are awesome. The staff is super friendly.
I literally have no idea why folks are complaining about this place. Maybe they're bots? I came to Milpitas on business travel and found this place by accident. I had a great experience! Large serving of a tasty salmon teriyaki plate, hot soup, and cold sapporo beer.
Great veggie options. Great service. Must try: Jalapeno Bomb (appetizer) and Mango Secret Roll
Exceptional customer service. The food was amazing! Would definitely return. The owner was friendly. The sushi was very fresh and the rice was perfect.

Food was really good and not expensive at all. Had edamame, miso soup, sushi all for less than $20. Very full and very happy. Glad Google recommended this restaurant.
I ordered sushi to go. After I ordered I checked the reviews and became concerned. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the sushi, it's comparable to other more highly rated places I've eaten at.
Mango roll and the sweet potato rolls are perfect for vegetarians. Ask for sweet sauce on the side when ordering the mango roll, it takes away from the sushi flavor.
Ordered warriors roll for to go. Sushi is fresh and I love the fried garlic and onion on the side. Will come back again.
1st time to try Sushi there. I’ll be back many more times. Thanks
From the immediate, friendly, consistent service, the cleanliness of the place and the fantastic quality of the food, definitely one of the best sushi experiences I've had.
Amílcar is so friendly. Service was quick and the food was delicious and well served. I recommend the Ninja roll thin sliced.
Soo yummy! My food came fast and the sushi was delicious! And i had a sweet plum wine here ! Definitely coming back
Excellent sushi and sashimi, along with an excellent price! Food was fresh. Wait staff was attentive.
A bit dubious about the name but very happy with the product... Roles are well made and fresh, place was clean even right after lunch rush, tempura was crisp and hot, we will be back...
The food is good and it is rather cheap compared to a lot of other places and the people are super nice. It's a really cute place and I would come again
Charlie is literally the best! He was so helpful and gave amazing service. I would come back 100% just because of how great the service was. Food was just as good!
Nice little sushi place with quick service. I'm very thankful they are open between 2pm and 5pm - most sushi and noodle places are closed between lunch and dinner, but here I can finally get my fix! Sushi tastes good, and I would say it is reasonably priced. Other places might have better sushi, but if you need a quick fix at a reasonable price (especially from 2pm-5pm), this is the place to be!
Disclaimer: I'm not a Sushi expert and we generally get the vegetarian / imitation crab Sushi. No frills restaurant with an acceptable ambiance, quick service, and good value for money. We've come here a few times and have found everything pretty good. The 5 stars are not necessarily for the food, but rather because I found this provides excellent value for money.
Affordable no frills Japanese resto. Loved the lunch bento deal, well presented with ample servings. Flavors were great, natural umami (I didn't detect MSG, in my opinion). Saba shioyaki was the best I've had so far; teriyaki and tempura were delicious. I'll update the review once we get to try the sushi next time.
This place is the best Sushi place ever. Grace is super friendly and sweet. I’ve gone to a lot of places but nothing compares to Sushi King in Milpitas. They are cheaper then the others and also tastes way better. I love Sushi King. Wish there were more locations.
Interestingly enough, V Sushi was one of the best sushi experiences i have ever had. The chef’s experience had various tastes and textures which I didn’t expect – I was actually surprised almost with the grilled eel and uni. The service provision was great, and the spacing was cozy but not overcrowded. I was so pleased with the fact that there was a surprise in food every other time, and seasonal variations were used to great effect. It was quite expensive, but I can say that it was worth the amount spent!
I ordered the dynamite roll from V Sushi through Uber Eats and wow, absolutely phenomenal! Even delivered, it was still crispy and full of flavor. It’s a deep-fried roll done right hot, crunchy, and super satisfying. Definitely one of the better sushi delivery experiences I’ve had. Can’t wait to order again!
V Sushi's sushi amazes. Each fish sliced, tasted, really felt fresh that one could believe how they use high-quality products. We ordered the spicy tuna roll that I and my partner shared and it was just spicy enough that you could still appreciate the taste of the tuna. Black cod was another stunner – great taste and cooked nicely. The only complaint I have is the time it took between my arrival and the time I was actually seated; it was as if they didn’t care about reservations. But thankfully, even though we had to wait, once we were seated, the food and service more than made up for it.
The atmosphere at V Sushi is optimal for a celebratory event or a romantic evening out. The lighting in the space is optimally set up to bring a warm yet elegant feel to the space. Our waitress offered us all her attention and possessed extensive knowledge of the menu, helping us and selecting the appetizers that would go best with the sake. The sushi was also very well made and appetizing to the eye, particularly the spicy tuna and dragon rolls. It was an enjoyable experience!
Food was delicious I got shrimp tempura curry ,ebi, salmon belly Nigri,i got their new margarita shots service was great and polite.ambiance was wonderful they really step since last I came in here well definitely come back
chicken Karage is so good I like this spot Food is good The staffs are so nice and care on what you need. We dined in table for 3 ppl. We celebrated my friend birthday. The staff bring on a complimentary and even turn on happy birthday song for us. So cute. We went here quite often and received best services always.
Ordered take out online. Got a few rolls, miso soup and an appetizer. Everything was good. Provided soy, chopsticks, napkins. Staff was friendly. Tight parking lot at the In N Out next door can cause chaos if their drivethru line gets long. Friendly staff. Clean. Happy with everything. Will be back.
Amazing food! very kind service, checking up on us and our needs. I will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area with my wife again. I love the fish tank at the bar seating area. Brings a great vibe and is beautiful to look at all the different sizes and colors of fish(especially the little babies)while dining and talking. Wish I could have fit another roll haha.

We went here for an early dinner and ordered a lot of stuff. I started with the Asahi beer and ordered Garlic Edamame, Chicken Karaage. Chicken Karaage was better than what we've had anywhere else. We then ordered V Sushi Roll, Mango Secret, Sweet Potato Roll and the Avocado Cucumber Roll. All the rolls were good and filling. Will definitely come back for the next time.
Was driving around the area after running errands in Milpitas, and I'm glad this restaurant popped up in my radar. The sushi bar is larger than you expected; they have an oval yellow bar where the positioning does make the sushi chefs the focal point for the customers' attention. The decor is cute with oriental sauce containers and mini plates. They have hand sanitizers scattered through the bar, so that was a relief to see. Our waitress was attentive, quick, and efficient with our orders. What we ordered: -Agedashi Tofu: good portion of tofu with bonito flakes sprinkled atop; the flavor warmed us up, especially on a cold day. --Chicken Karaage: must order!! The chicken was crunchy, seasoned to perfection, and packed with flavor. The condiment sauce was great to pair it with. -Angry Dragon Roll: great amount of spice content and the sauces were drizzled all over the plate aesthetically. -Lion King Roll: a very saucy roll that was delicious and flavorful. The salmon was juicy and had a nice amount of fatty texture. Would certainly come again if I was in the area!
Small place and seating might be tricky for groups. There seems to be bmore bar space than regular seating so wanted to try something different and asked for recommendations for good vegetarian Sushi and we took home sweet potato roll which was good and Mango secret and this had a mango with chilli sauce on top and it was very good. Green peace Roll was also good. I cannot say they are amazing but are very good. Worth a try for sure. Will come back for more

Honestly, don't let these bad reviews suede you from coming here. It's not that bad. Maybe not the world's best shushi but it isn't bad. 7/10.
Good food. Good prices. And they have sushi boats, so if you are looking to try a few things, a good place to go.
Good sushi. But should be more upfront about what's allowed on lunch menu. 3 roll special is only for some rolls.
Not bad I am a vegetarian and I found that they have a few items that have no meat like the Cucumber Sushi or the avocado sushi also the vegetable tempura I think they had a few more items but it's not bad I had no problem with customer service the lady was very nice I will go again
The sushi is cheap. Tastes good and service is pretty fast. Didn’t like the tempura. Waitress seemed pushy.
Very good quick , fresh sushi. My only concern is the smell. Something is not so pleasant. However didn’t stop us enjoy a great meal
Polite staff with available seating even at lunch time. Process seemed appropriate. The sushi Bar is available and features the typical boats going on circles. They seem to understand that not trough must be clean. There are about 8 tables you can sit at and benefit from menu and waitress (I'm not being chauvinistic, many trips and I've always only seen the same nice lady). If the place isn't busy and you choose the bar, don't complain about the service. They of course don't commit to floating a lot of boats, so it helps to just tell the guy you're interested in salmon, Rolls or whatever. So far, I'll keep going there
Nice environment but I showed up for dinner and the boats weren't active. I came in 5 min after a guy who had a preorder and he was still waiting, though im not sure of the details. Service was speedy and quality, decent in taste and appearance.
V Sushi was walking distance from the hotel and did not disappoint. Friendly service and quality food. Miso soup, a couple rolls, and a large Sapporo was a perfect dinner for this east coast traveler on the west coast.
Great sushi spot, menu is a quite limited (in my opinion when compared to other sushi places) so that's a turn down. Service was quick and friendly. In short definitely a spot worth checking out if you ever find yourself in the area.
Sushi was very good and quiet atmosphere. What i didnt like is that the waitress took the man's order who was also Asian but took mine second. I came in before him and she passed my table only to help him first. That was rude....no hi or I'll be with you in a moment. Also....sushi maker made food with no gloves so def had to pray over my food but otherwise gd. If you're not picky like me and like your food as is then cool...i needed modifications because the descriptions didnt explain everything. All that aside, was gd food and drinks. Plum wine was delicious!
Most of the time the food is consistent and great. But sometimes the portion is way off. I wish the restaurant would call the customer for solutions instead of sending out lower quality standards. Saba (L) portion doesn't match the price. Quality had gone down over the years.
Cute little sushi spot. Food is good, service is fast and friendly. I ordered two to go plates. The chicken katsu and the bento box with teriyaki chicken. Liked everything but they forgot my California rolls. What a bummer!

Their Sushi rolls are Good (Especially the Spider Roll) but, the overall atmosphere wasn't as inviting
Not very expensive. Sushi rolls are aaaiiight. Not the best food. And I think one of my rolls had sweet baby rays bbq sauce on it. Eh I'd probably eat there again.
I've given this place a shot several times and every time I find the food mediocre at best. I'm going to skip next time. I think people agree becsuse this place was pretty empty during rush hour lunchtime. The food is poor and expensive but the service is ok.
Sushi is fresh and tastey, cooked salmon is stinky and teriyaki steak was tough and missing that great char grill taste I usually get at Japanese restaurants, good service, I asked for a bento box and got salmon by mistake, the nice waitress fixed the problem.
Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Got $17 sushi platter. Tuna had no flavor and little color. Salmon was a lil tough. I was hoping it would be better than it was.
1. No sservice 2. I dont think they know how to make sushi 3. Yes, the price is low, but for that quality, i think its expensive
Sushi King was good, but lately their presentation and taste has not been the greatest. Mostly not a lot if patrons there and the floating bar doesn't work which is kind of a turn off. Overall, the price is decent and if you haven't had sushi or your don't have a fancy tasting buds it should be good.
Meh food, but you got to love the small area. You see it for what it is. I had visited the restaurant two times. The first time our meals took awhile, but the food was good. The second time I came around a busy day during lunch hours and ordered a Salmon Sashimi. The salmon was still a bit icy and it was flavorless. Added to injury the cost was close to $30. Definitely not worth it.
The service was ok, but food was pretty bad. Bf got a teriyaki salmon bento box and I got the Sushi King roll. Both bland, fried shrimp was cold and the salmon in the bento box was really bad. Definitely won't be returning.
Friendly staff and nice place. Most of the food is okay. I just dont recommend the fried calamari its not like the picture. It came out looking like fish sticks and tasted like cuttlefish??
I recommend you order sushi, not the dish that I ordered (shrimp tempura with deep fried vegetables). I can never find a good Japanese restaurant in the south bay that knows how to use the right flour to cook shrimp tempura. I have to go to the City, SF, that is. Don't order any tempura. The couple next to me order sushi, and the dish looks very tantalizingly delicious. The place is small so sit at the yellow sushi bar. I rate it 3☆ (for the restaurant) to be nice but my dish is 2☆.
Service is good, food is decent, but sashimi is terrible. Do NOT order sashimi here. It is cut horribly and fish was served frozen. The chef obviously doesn't have proper training or a proper knife, even. Our rolls were pretty good, but lacking in quality seen in other sushi restaurants. Emphasis is definitely on quantity. It was ok, overall, but I would not come back because of the dissmal shashimi experience.
It’s okay for the price I guess but doesn’t exceed my expectations for sushi. May be try something else next time to make sure if I actually ordered wrong stuff at the first place.
Tonight my wife & I went out for our weekly Sushi dinner but we made a mistake by coming here. I felt they had a small variety of rolls along with large prices. For sure we will cross this restaurant off the list. The name is the most misleading part to start with nothing here fits a KING!!!!!
Sen Dai is sooo much better! I bought a caterpillar roll. It was sweet and contained fake crab. It was not of good quality. I have had sushi all over the world. I can't figure out why all the good reviews.
Service was non-existent. I didn't bother to give the waitress a tip. Sushi was 5/10 in flavor, presentation, and selection. If you just want quick, okay sushi then come here. If you want to have a nice experience with good sushi then choose else where.
0 stars. Been here many times everything is good . Ordered chichen karrage miso soup fry oysters anduku and through doordash on Tuesday . In the late night i felt sick and got vomiting … please maintain the same consistency in the food
The sushi rolls are cut so big you have to take bites of it. They stuff so much crab mix it's almost overwhelming. I know you would think more is better, but sometimes it's just not. The ice tea tastes like dirty towel water. The women serving was very sweet, but the food was just not pleasant at all.

ALERT ! Scombroid Fish Poison. Very bad experience my wife and I came here to discover a new place, Angry Dragon Roll , Jalapeño Bombs and Dynamite Roll if you look the presentation seems good but all is fried and you cannot notice fish, shrimps and everything they used was contaminated and not in good conditions. We went to urgency care 30 min after eating here, very bad experience
Came here for a quick bite before shopping at Walmart. It was a little busy. We were a party of 3, me, my boyfriend and our daughter. We stood at the door for a while before anyone acknowledged us. They made a jester for us to sit at the only open table. The table had 2 plates with chopsticks. No one came by with another set or asked if we wanted a fork for our daughter. We had to call the server over a couple times before getting anyone's attention. We had to ask for a menu. We got a California roll for our daughter, 49er roll, baked scallop roll for us. We also got the hamachi appetizer. Unfortunately nothing was good. The hamachi appetizer was big pieces of fish with toppings. The imitation crab tasted old so the rolls were not good. Even the cucumber was old and dry. That was why the middle was cut out. I was hopeful that the sauce in the baked scallop roll would make it taste better but it did not. The white sauce was fishy and sour. Very disappointed as we spent over $80. You would think if service wasn't good maybe the food would be. Neither were good. I'm surprised this place was busy. We definitely won't be back.
I was buying to-go order. The waitress kept licking her finger to open plastic bags when she packed orders. Why could not use a wet towel? Seriously??? Her hands were supposed to be clean!

Went there with a friend of my last night. We ordered some rolls and sashimi. Both of us got diarrhea after 1 hour. The fish is not fresh. Won’t be back again.
The spicy salmon roll tasted nothing like salmon and it was horrible but the service was good, while your eating your food they would watch you the whole time, and they made my uncle’s food so hot that when he tried to pick up the sushi roll it fell apart so he couldn’t even eat his food.
Sushi was just ok service..what service? I ordered salmon teriyaki but I was given chicken teriyaki. Went with my daughter and friend, all three of us had upset stomachs after eating here. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Very rude service!!! I went in late for dinner. I was browsing through the menu trying to decide what to eat. The impatient old lady there insisted that I make the order immediately as they were closing! I should not have gone there if I had known I would be treated like this! You should give this place a miss!!! Their food wasn’t great either.
I really do like thus place but just recently they dded charge of $2.54 for what they call service charge. No one was able to tell me what the charge is for. I'll have find another Sushi place.
At my first visit was good, went back after a month and this time they served us FROZEN tuna. Asked the waitress and she said fresh from the freezer... NOT going back for sure!!!
I ordered on ubereats and asked for special instructions without any avacado because i dont like avacados and they added avacados
Open until 12??? Try 11:30, all employees there and door unlocked, open sign on, and no service at 11:40. BS. Was excited to try, now never return.
Bland and squished salmon, too much rice, and over-mayonnaised crabmeat on the 49er roll. Not much interesting to say about the gyoza. Sake was undrinkably awful. Even the tea was watery with weird off notes.
The food was delicious but their tipping system is awful — an 18% large party tip was automatically added (for a party of 2 adults & 2 kids) and then at paying I was shown another screen for tip where I wrongly assumed that if I click 25% that would overwrite the 18% already added. Instead, it added the 25% on top of the 18% (in other words, unwittingly I ended up tipping them 47.5%)!!!
I wish I can rate 0 stars for this place. Ordered the California roll for take away. After about an hour eating the food, I got strong bellyache. Vomiting a several times. I also found some fish scales when I eating the food. The food is absolutely not fresh. Won't come to this place anymore.
The food wasn’t really all that great. The server, a young guy dripped water all over our plate and didn’t even apologize for it and instead laughed it off. But bottom line the was not good at all. Miso soup was served almost cold. Very Luke warm at best.
The sushi here is not very well done very cheaply made and taste horrible wouldn’t eat here again. The calamari was chewy and dry not at all what I expected and the shrimp sushi tasted horrible it had some fish on top and still had the fish bone on it. I swallowed it was gross.
I didn't expect much, but was still disappointed. I got the sushi take-out box D. The ngiri was tasteless, and the spicy tuna roll was not what I expected; more like "fish mush" than spicy tuna. Came with a tiny amount of soy sauce. I was starving when I ordered. I ate as much as I could stand, then gave up. I've never had sushi so disappointing, and I eat sushi in Utah.
Lacking Hospitality. I felt very unwelcomed as we walked in. It was like they where mad. We went there because and it was very convienent when shopping we tried it 2 other times. Another time i took my nephew but, the food still wasnt that good and still felt very unwelcomed. HOW CAN u enjoy a meal with you feel like your bothering them. Also, The food was not that good its not worth it.
I was eating in the store, and I ordered a salmon roll. There was a spit in my sushi roll. I asked the manager to take it off my bill, but he kicked me out. Bad store. Do not recommend coming.
My parents were discriminated today when they ate there l. The 2 waiters that took the orders were rude and they discriminated my parents for being Mexican and the chef took my parents orders because the waiters didn’t do their job. And my little sister was raising her hand to get the waiters attention and they never went towards my parents table.
V Sushi's $19 lunch special with three rolls of choice; I went with salmon, tuna, and unagi. Picked out a hair from the top of my takeout tray, then bit into a triangular fish bone in my second piece of sushi. Way too much eel sauce on the unagi roll. I couldn't finish my meal...
Everything was of low quality unfortunately. The rice is cheap and overcooked, ordered teriyaki chicken and beef, the portion of the takeout box was mostly salad and the chicken tasted more like turkey. The beef was of very low quality, tough, and fatty. The interior of the sushi was relatively nice but since they used bad rice and seaweed it was ruined. Gyoza filling was pretty nice, but when I tried one from a different box it tasted like dishwater on the outside. Probably old oil. Ended up having to throw away the majority of our food.
Food was actually not bad. I enjoyed there fried California roll and the chicken teriyaki plate. The problem is the wait staff acts like they don't wanna be there. Both times I went this young man with the worst customer service helped us. Acted like we were inconveniencing him (we were the only ones there). Someone like that completely kills it for me. The second time I came in I even brought company, but service was so bad my guest even noticed the shortness and rude attitude. As embarrassing it is bringing someone to a restaurant and getting bad service, it's more embarrassing that this young man has such a terrible attitude. Once I got in the car we were all in agreement that we'll never be back. Better sushi place just down the street. Because of this, I would avoid. The food is okay, but just that. I really wanted to like this place, but the uncomfortable feeling you get from the wait staff is not worth it.
We ordered take out and immediately smelled something foul from the bag. We opened each container and the Bake Scallop Roll was sour, spoiled, and slimey. Never returning.
I ordered the ninja roll on Uber eats (on Sunday night) and it was the worst sushi I've ever eaten, I don't know why it tasted so bad, I had to throw it in the trash, maybe the fish was in bad condition along with the seaweed but the worst thing is that I paid a lot for everything. The staff must make sure that their food is well preserved. Bad experience
I am disappointed. What happened to this restaurant? I ordered sushi from here three times previously. Each time the quality was consistent. Today my husband ordered through a third-party food delivery application, and the seafood on the sushi was rotten. Salt was abundant on it to cover up the foul smell and taste. We will never order from here again. From now on, Sen Dai will continue to get our business.
