Great place to go with friends. The only problem I had was it was karaoke night and the lady on stage singing was horrible. I couldn't even enjoy my drink or hear my friends talking to me. We were yelling at eachother across the table. Never go on karaoke night.
Good ambiance at night, they have music and okay food. The staff is not very friendly and this is not a family friendly atmosphere in my opinion. The drinks are also good and they have a lot of options.
Live music looks after 8pm , the fish fillet with the broccoli dish was very good. The fried tilapia was very small on mine had very little meat and fries tasted like fried everything they fried all day with..but ok
The food was good and they staff was friendly. They have agua frescas of several things. It was good experience for my first time there.
Loved the food! I had a bit of a wait because it was Mother's Day and they were SLAMMED! They managed to work fast. I appreciate their commitment to service
Dont remember what was the plate i ordered when i went w my wife to eat but ut tasted soo good! Plus waitress was soo on top of us if we needed anything else. Excellent service of her. Would be coming back soon! Safe place to come with the family.
TV's were too loud that it made some people jump during commercials. Other than that, this is the first restaurant whose shrimp cocktail I really liked. Staff being fast and friendly was a plus.
My girl and I had a great time coming here. The drinks are very good and always cold. They had a show and we had a good time. Staff are always busy making sure guests are comfortable and happy.
The first time at this location, the seafood is delicious. I recommend the parrillada for two people. We got the shrimp and beef. It comes with beans, guacamole, and tortillas of your choice. The kids' plate of fish and fried shrimp rice very good and good portion. Affordable prices, I will come back.
The food was delicious, and place ambiance put us all in a better mood. Lots of old norteno music...
I always enjoy the whole mood of this cool place just off Wayside Dr. and 45 North feeder. They have a great ceviche that's a perfect dish to share that's my favorite there! Good micheladas, I also have had the tortas, oysters, shrimp ala diabla, snapper and they are all great. Music is always going, karaoke too, and I really dig how mariachi groups will gather there on busy nights between gigs. The place is always jumping and fun.
The food here is delicious!!
Great atmosphere and I loved the food and service. Maybe 20 tables were full but food was very quick. Hadn’t had fried fish for a while so got catfish filets. Two big fried filets with salad, papas fritas, garlic bread and a generous helping of a fried rice with small shrimp in it. Every thing was good but I really loved that fried rice. Maybe tomorrow I can get some to take back to Austin. If you like a good Mexican atmosphere with great ethnic music you can couple that with good food. I didn’t have room to finish my meal and every other plate I saw being served looked to be generous as well. I’ll be back next time I’m in this part of Texas.
This is a great place to eat out at, loved my plate fish and shrimp, everything was delicious
I hardly go here but every time I go. I love the atmosphere. I love how the waitresses give you the food as fast as they can. I usually get the shrimp Alfredo but this time my mom and I got mixed grill that came along with some delicious rice and pico de gallo. I really really recommend this place specially on weekends
Food and ambient is Great just make sure to check your tab before paying because they do tend to add in extra drinks that 1 actually didn't drink. As if 1 is not keeping count. Has happened twice to us.
We had the ceviche and I must say it was pretty bland, also had vuelve a la vida soup which was pretty good. The grilled oysters we had for the first time and they were awesome I will definitely re-order. Customer service cannot complaint.
Good music and and average food. Had to order a combination of sauce and protein to get an real meal. My small (ordered a large) civiche was not worth the price point. I enjoyed my drink just wish all the drinks they served were on a different menu for drinks. My parmesan grilled oysters were not cheesy enough, but the meaty oysters made up for that. Wanted my waitress to tell me more about the drinks there too. She couldn't help me due to a language barrier. Not her fault. I blame myself for that one. I enjoyed myself very much and plan to go back.
It's ok 👌. I like the cocktail of seafood. Only think is they charge you gratitude on the check even is just 2 people. I didn't like that. I like to Tip my way and depending of the waitress service. In this case she took quite some time to bring me my food, drinks, etc.
Was there for a late 2:00 lunch so service was fast. Fried breaded calamari & shrimp was excellent. Lemon/lime wedges have to be requested when ordering. Very attentive staff. Will definitely return
The seafood was on point! Fresh and filling. Just wish we hadn't gone on a Karaoke night... too loud to enjoy company and service although busy, was seemingly inconsistent. BUT, I would definitely go back
This restaurant is busy with mariachi live music a bar if you love alcohol plenty large screen TV and the waitresses are ready to make room for handicap equipment and to serve you. Food I expected to be better than what it actually was still edible.plenty of room to park.
During lunchtime, no wait. Plenty of seating: booths & tables; customer's choice. Although busy, waitress was attentive. Plenty of food choices on the menu. The shrimp had a flavorful seasoning. We had shrimp quesadillas & shrimp brochette. Fried rice came with a spicy sauce on the side that gave it a Thai style to it. Was good with and without the sauce. I really enjoyed the frozen Margarita drinks with Tajin on the rim! Yumm!! I will return to try out other items on the menu.
The food was delicious and the service was pretty good. The drinks left much to be desired. At our table, we had two premium margaritas at over $20 each. Each of the two tasted totally different but neither was good. One was very sweet and the other tasted carbonated. We asked for Don Julio to be used but when we mentioned the issue to the waitress, she said that they had Patron. Hmm. Anyway, we kept one and sent one back. Other than the drinks, the food and service were great.
Love the food and flavor in everything I have tried. I am not big on seafood but I love and trust every thing is properly cooked. Service is pretty good though last our food seemed to take quite a bit long to get to us. This location has karaoke and atmosphere is like a party at night. All the friends I have brought with me there enjoy it.
It’s giving nightclub, not restaurant 😅 The food was alright, but the music was SO loud I felt like I was at a concert I didn’t buy tickets for. I couldn’t hear the person I came with, had to scream my order at the waiter like I was on stage, and left wondering if I’d need a hearing aid or just a moment of silence to recover. Great vibe if you’re here to party… not so great if you actually want to talk or chew in peace.
The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because service was okay, but honestly here is how it went south: Our waiter was rude, he just showed up and basically forgot his manners. Second, we were getting charged for something that isn't normally extra, and not even a little, it was a solid amount of money. Not even a manager came to assist with the issue. So, whatever. After two years of loyalty, I don't think I should continue offering my business.
I give 3 stars because the music was extremely loud and there was so many people bundled together I could not get out of my chair without bumping in to a person sitting behind me. My anxiety was through the roof. I do have to say the food was very good I enjoyed my plate of fried shrimp and fish, my wife said the shrimp cocktail was amazing. I would order here again but to go only. Not family friendly, kids meal variety is not very large.
Food was alright, but the price is a ripoff for the amount. Two sodas were $11, and about 5 to 6 strips of meat on the plate, what the hell is that? Same sodas you get off the store for $1.80 cost $5.50 each with no refills! That’s almost half the cost of the meal! I’d rather go to a taco truck next time. Food tends to taste a lot better and cheaper.
Very good oysters raw and the oysters cooked and seasoned was good and the prices not to bad actually. The steak and bacon wrapped fajitas was ok but the bacon was super burned and dry but everything Else tasted pretty good. And the manager did take off the fajitas plate so i cant complain there. So my opinion is it was worth the trip and worth a try for anyone that wants to go. Not somewhere i would go regularly but i will try them again.
Well we ventured out tonight and I have to say we were not impressed. The server was friendly but very slow and not at all proactive. We had to ask for every refill. We waited forever for the check and never found the waiter. We ordered fried calamari and it was so dry and rubbery we couldn’t eat it. Don’t waste your money.
Mixed experience here today. I've been here before and food has been pretty good. Today we ordered a whole grilled fish and some fried oysters. The fish was very tasty, but the oysters were not only way too battered, but chewy as well.
I called three times and hung up on twice. Ordered Yucatán plate, oyster rockerfeller, & horchata (added on at restaurant) for pick up. Due to band being on site it was a bit loud bug unfortunately even if I wanted to order online the oysters aren’t on the online menu. Received the food and it was hot and appeared to be cooked fresh however I could smell the spinach on the oysters so knew instantly it wasn’t cooked down. The Yucatán plate did not have rice included which is listed as a side so I was given fish with sauce and a salad of some sort with no rice. The bread was also stale. The horchata was probably my favorite part of the meal. As for ambience being that I was picking up my order it was nice that pick up was near the door because the band was loud (I think this is more so due to the enclosed space) however this didn’t bother me and the patron were enjoying it. I’ll be back for my random horchata cravings and maybe even try a different oyster but based on my experience here it was not anything to brag about at all. Deducted stars from service due to them hanging up on me and overcharging me Also shout out to Milton for being patient and actually taking my order over the phone.
First time at this restaurant, nice place, good ambiance (a little bit loud in my opinion). lots of options to choose from the menu, but very challenging to read with the dimmed light at my table. Ordered the shrimp and fish soup, but it had a strong taste of tomato paste (even though, the other fresh ingredients the canned tomato flavor was noticeable) the soup came with a side of special rice which was very good. Also, tried the parrillada Beef and shrimp. It came with two sides, guacamole (good) and the charros beans which had the same processed tomato flavor as the soup. Service was average
The best thing we’re the drinks. the amount of food was sub par I ordered a half beef nachos and I can count on two hands how many chip I received (10) I had to borrow chips from the free salsa and chips they give you. Then I ordered a beef Quesadilla, the smallest I had ever seen they use one small tortilla and fold it In half. The shrimp Alfredo was dry and unseasoned. The kids cheeseburgers were big but dry as well.
Food was okay, service was good, but let me tell you if you’re trying to go eat and share with the family don’t go here, they play the music super loud, we asked the dj to lower it down and she just said ok but never lowered it, music was so loud the baby started crying and we had to leave.
To start off the place is a bit dirty, there was trash on the floor and tables looked as of they hadn't been wiped down in a good while. However me and my parents were hungry so we decided to give it a chance. My mom ordered two tostada's de ceviche, she wasn't impressed. They lacked a lot of flavor and the fish tasted a bit old. Her iced tea also tasted like it had been brewded a week before. My father hard the dozen of fresh shrimp. Right off the bat you could tell that the shrimp was frozen and had been ran under hot water. By the time it got to the table the shrimp was luke warm. My father was not pleased at all. I myself ordered the stuffed shrimp. It was good but the breading was a bit thick and the filling seemed like it was just mashed together instead of mixed like a medley. Over all I would give the food 3 stars but counting everything else it bring it down to a 2. The service was slow even though the restaurant was empty.
Ok so no picture that day, I was actually trying to not pass out because their ac was off. I asked a couple of workers and they all told me everything was fine, ummmm no it's not. I can't even remember what I ate but the food was hot which was great but I was hot too lol!! All the babies in there were hot, my waitress got lost in the sauce because I saw her twice maybe. It was just a hot mess!! I love this place but yall need a back up when the ac is out and to our waitress, I hope you find your way back.
This is my second time coming here. The first time was 3 months ago, food was good so was the service. This time the food was flavorless, first I thought it was only my taste buds so I asked my wife and friends how was their food and they also agreed on the food. The hospitality is good no complaints but I won't be returning. Im guessing it's not the same chef.
Food is amazing…but I mainly order pick up…because music is way to loud… you can’t enjoy meal with family because you can’t even hear each other…or the waiters when trying to order because it so loud…the most horrible times are when they karaoke half of the people can’t sing …then it being so loud it kills your ears…
Great food and drinks ,but good lord it's beyond loud. Like Insanely loud for zero reason if they it down by Like 10db ..It would make it alot better. I couldn't talk to people sitting next to me. Let alone the waitress
The food wasn't worth the price. It was bland I had a chicken and beef quesadilla and my wife or the chicken in the green salsa salsa verde wasn't spicy taste completely different even the quesadilla wasn't what it could be I could have made one better at home 2 cheap items two drinks the chips and queso end up spending 40 bucks
I ordered the shrimp and tilapia Veracruz style and it was tomatoes from a can on top of seafood. Seriously disgusting, it is a mockery for Veracruz with this…. Even the salsa (the one they put for the chips) was good…. Will not recommend this place and I will not come back unless I really see something better. It is loud, get ready. Disappointed because I thought this would be my place to come with the whole family.
Bad customer service. They charge gratuity after 1 person according to our bad waitress RAQUEL RUBIO.... It was only 3 of us and she took forever to bring our food, never checked on us, we asked for salsa, she didnt even care to bring something simple as salsa. We asked why was she giving bad customer service and she said because she had another table to take care of.... If she cant handle 2 tables than she should quit
We were told by management that the food we ordered which was the fish and shrimp with fries is normally cooked like we received it and that it was suppose to be dry and hard looking. If this is the case then we must have come on a day when the cook that prepared everyone else’s food that posted pictures that looked way better than our food must have gotten fired already for doing a good job because our food looked over cooked, hard, old, dry, and not meant for human consumption. And the virgin strawberry daiquiri tasted like water and when I asked if they could make it taste more strawberry-ish they had the nerve to tell me that I needed to pay an extra $1 or maybe $2 on top of the $8.95 I WAS ALREADY PAYING for what was suppose to already be tasting like a strawberry daiquiri in the first place!!!!
First of all let me say this place is super convenient to where we live at. So we decided to go. But after 15 minutes of waiting for a waitress to attend to me and my boyfriend. We will never recommend this place, the service is horrible and our bill alone on drinks came out to $120 for 6 Margaritas that didnt even come out tasting the same way (or the same color) and 2 Fireball shots which the waitress did not even get right she replaced them for Vegas bombs and she refused to take it back and she stood and waited there till we gave her a credit card.
They add their own tip on your check without asking, they can't say we were a big group all we were was 4 people. The food didn't have flavor at all none of our food did. Won't be going back to this location again
Bad management, the menu says one price, the waitresses says is the old price, Kareoke supposed starts at 9:00pm, didn't started till 9:45pm, the fish was salty, no taste, not coming back for sure.
The manager here was very rude when I visited. I personally will not return because of her.
Came here one Thursday ordered seafood soup well the crab came with a grey long hair on it. The manager said it was from the rue which I wish that was the case. Also it’s nice to hear karaoke but it’s so loud you can’t your server or any one during your time there.
Food was not great, service was terrible, music was WAY too loud. I absolutely love music but It was difficult for me to even place my order to the server and even talking to someone right next to me was impossible. I had like 4 different servers and still none of them ever gave me a refill on my water. I got oysters (which were okay...), I shared a Cajun boiled shrimp with my man which was WAY too salty, and he got a fried rice plate that was bland and dry. Overall, way too pricey and Not a great place for food or service. Drinks are ok.
Food was okay, very expensive for just a party of 4. They always include the tip in the bill which is very rude. Tip is optional the restaurant should pay their employees better wages instead of making the customer pay for their salary. Do not recommend.
Had got some oysters that tasted terrible and in the menu supposedly it came with shrimp but turns out not anymore nd they charged 2 dollars a damn shrimp the size of a quarter never again
Here we are having a good time, ordering food and drinks and then all of a sudden they close in the midst of this despiste the 2am hours shown on Google. Entirely disrespectful the way we were kicked out. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
18 percent tip for a party of 4 it’s crazy 2 adults 2 kids for 26 minutes seams excessive to me that was 22 dollars not even better restaurants like Olive Garden or saltgrass to this. Very soon they will be out of service.
Horrible service , from the seating to the waitress, we had to wave down the manager to help us with a drink that we had already ordered 8 mins ago, our first waitress never came back to wait on us , she literally forgot about us … never again will we return
They will add a tip without you knowing and the manager was very dismissive about it. She said that my bank added the tip lol. Mind you, this was a to-go/pick up order. Can't wait til yall are out of business!!!!
