TK Cafe

This is one of those unexpected little places that you will pass by if you blink. Well, we were looking for food a little different from our usual places and found the TK Cafe to be a nice place for a bite to eat. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. If you enjoy great fries then you have found the right place. Seriously, you will adore theirs! The prices are great and the owners and staff are friendly and always smiling and kind. Check them out. They have become one of our new go-to places for take out. Enjoy!

I love the food here! People are friendly and very covid safe. It's takeout only currently, call your order in and pick up. Good selection of food and dim sum choices. They have daily specials as well look out for those. I had their spam musubi special on Wednesdays. Can't wait to go again.

This place is really great. The portion sizes are very good and the food is delicious. The service was amazing and the restaurant was super clean. Would highly recommend this place.

Family meal for the win! Lemme say before I ordered the pakalolo in my system was strong, so I went hard. Katsu chicken - amazing. Kilua pork - you gotta order when going Hawaiian if you eat pork, shredded so good, seasoned excellent, added with the sauces they provide and home run! Real family level volume, real family level pricing. We’ll be back!

The food is always good and fresh to order. The portions are bigger than ono and taste better. My lunch usually feeds me for two days. The service is nice and fast with a great price.

Just ate here for the first time as we were in town. Host was super friendly and nice. We ordered loads of food; Hawaiian BBq chicken, pork shumai dumplings, chicken pot stickers, spring rolls and steamed veg. All were steaming hot, fresh and amazing. My favorite was the Hawaiian chicken, juicy and tender, absolutely delicious. Maybe exterior could be better, almost didn't go inside but so so glad I did! I have 3 boxes of food left for dinner!

Good food and portion size at a good price. Take out order was prepared quickly. Some might not like that it is takeout only and you cannot go into the restaurant.

So delicious, and enough for both of us to take home for dinner. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are very generous, and most of all, delicious!

An Asian family owned Hawaiian BBQ Cafe. I have been here a couple of times during the past year. It is truly a great cafe, the foods taste great, large portion for the price. They even have some dim sum on the menu and some boba drinks selection too. Today, I ordered the Mahi & BBQ chicken combo for 7.99, spam musubi 2pcs for 3.58 & sausage musubi 2pcs for 3.58. They are so good that even my 2 year old son loves the Mahi Mahi. So happy that I find this small cozy Cafe. It is located at the Monrovia plaza where Vons market is. I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

It’s a small family-run counter serve operation with great Hawaiian inspired plate lunch comfort food, especially for meat lovers. The place is tucked in a corner of the Vons mall at the southwest corner of Myrtle and Foothill, so plenty of free parking. The chef and manager Ken took my order and was very friendly and helpful to recommend certain specialties on their menu. I ordered the Chicken Combo (BBQ Chicken and the crispy Katsu Chicken) and the Hawaiian BBQ Mix (BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and substituted Teriyaki Chicken in place of Kalbi Beef). Both plates come with two scoops of white rice and a scoop of Mac Salad. See images. Their BBQ Chicken is definitely a specialty, flavorful, and both combos I received were a generous serving of the moist and flavorful chicken. I would go back the next time I’m in the mood for Hawaiian plate lunch and would recommend 5 stars compared to other local counter serves in Monrovia.

Food is the best thing I've had in Monrovia in years. They were so nice as well. I forgot the sauce for my food and they walked to my car to hand it to me. Best customer service ever. Genuinely a hidden gem. Can't wait to try the fried rice next

The food is very tasty. They have Hawaiian BBQ and Chinese dim sum. I have never tried the dim sum but the BBQ chicken was tasty and not dry. They have specials everyday. Today was spam musubi. The Moco loco was very savory.

Great price for decent food. They give you good portion for the price . They also sell boba ! That's interesting . Their katsu sauce is a bit spicy for me and a bit too watery .

Because a lady who was working here and the kitchen gentleman were having an argument, and it lasted for about 8 minutes. I was inside waiting for my food during the whole time! They acted I was nonexistent and the volume kept on getting louder and reached unbearable levels. This was very unprofessional and should be avoided in the future. I hope they see this and realize what they did was improper!

Excellent portion control, maybe lousy portion control. It was HUGE. Wife had a chicken bowl while I had the bbq mix, neither of us could finish the portions were so big. Lots of meat, rice and vegetables. I even liked the macaroni. If We ever come to City of Hope again, we may need to come here again as well.

I love this place for hawaiian bbq. like with everything post-covid the prices have defin gone up, but it's still worth it bc of the taste and portion size. I can't get enough of their katsu, teriyaki sauce, and their winter melon milk smoothie. I love the daily specials menu. I love supporting this small business. I also love that they let me phone in my order so it's ready for pick up when I arrive. there is a parking lot so I don't have to worry about where I'm going to park my car. I love this place even their macaroni salad has enough mayo to be legit.

Great food and awesome service. I always get one of their lunch combo plate and everything on them are great. My only gripe is that my lunch starts at 11 a.m., which is when they open. I often miss half of my lunch time waiting but I guess we can't always be lucky. However, the food is great and the prices are fair.

TK Cafe & Hawaiian BBQ is a family owned business located at a large plaza in Monrovia. It is small cafe and has hawaiian vibe interior decor. Currently they offer delivery and take out only due to COVID. You need to call first to order because that will expedite the process. Service was fast. Staff was nice and competent. They followed the health protocol. They have an extensive food menu and drinks. I ordered their hawaiian chicken bbq (with rice, macaroni and cabbage) and mango slush boba. BBQ Chicken was soft, tasty and warm. Slush was refreshing. Prices were fair. Plenty of parking spot. Overall, I had a good food and takeout experience.

Boba tea was delicious. I ordered the ribs. Rice & macaroni very good but the ribs were very gristley , chewy & hardly any meat. We chewed & chewed but it was like rubber. Will not order ribs again. Cut very thin & more fat than anything.

Ordered delivery of the mahi-mahi with rice … and Mac n cheese???? Horrible meal - cold as ice and FRIED! I don’t eat fried food but nothing I’m the menu indicated it was a fried dish. And cold… never order from here again. $20 on a dish I can’t and won’t eat. Junk food.
