Very good coffee and baked goods. Service was very friendly!
LOVE their gluten-free treats & I have never had a bad cup of coffee. Ahhh...
Like so many places in Morro Bay, this place is pretty chill. Nice people working here. Good coffee and food.
This coffee shop has great service, great coffee, and good breakfast options. Menu includes breakfast burritos, baked goods, egg sandwiches and bagels
Always great, cozy experience. Don't skip their day-old baked goods on a shelf by the entrance!
Good coffee and friendly staff. The snacks were good too.
Good ambience, friendly staff, best coffee I've had in Morro Bay so far.
The coffee here was amazing and rich and the service was fast and friendly.
Great coffee, awesome place to relax and enjoy a pastry with you cups of coffee.
Amazingly 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 good coffee and pastries!!!!! Breve and hazelnut latte, so good, so good!!!!! Pistachio muffin and banana bread 🍞 divine!!!!!
I have never had a bad cup of coffee here and the desserts are to die for. Thanks R&A Clapp
So delicious! Extremely kind guy working and yummy food and coffee :)
Coffee is great and make sure you check out the pastry case!!!
The Coffee Company is our second home when we are in Morro Bay. I can't say enough good things about MBCC!
My daughter and I love stopping by on the way to the boardwalk for some shopping
My daughter said it was the best hot cocoa she ever had. I tried it, and agreed
Fast, friendly service, even when it's busy! Oh, and the coffee isn't bad either. 😀
Nice people and good coffee. Loved the atmosphere.
I love love love love this place, especially their apple turnovers. Everyone that works here is nice
Great place 4 coffee! and other tasty goodies!
Love this place. Locally owned and operated. Always so friendly and the coffee is great. I always get my morning wakeup here when in Morro Bay. Highly recommend this place. 👍👍👍
It’s become a favorite when visiting Morro Bay. Everything is fabulous and it’s all baked in house with love. Super Yummy!
Stopped by here in two different visits to Morro Bay and was not disappointed. The coffee was smooth, not at all bitter, my only regret was that I didn't order a larger cup.
Great little find on our way from santa Maria towards Big Sur. Young man behind the counter was polite and helpful . The "regulars" friendly and happy to share info about our drive up the coast 😁😁
Been going to this coffee joint for years. Love the staff, food and new look. Everyone should frequent this spot.
Good coffee and nice atmosphere, but the strawberry rhubarb jam that is made by sam’s jams and sold there is off the hook delicious, so buy some jars so he continues to make it. 🙏👍
Best coffee in MB
Good selection and prices. Young lady that help us was friendly and had a nice smile. We will definitely come back!!
Nice uptown coffee shop - been comming here for years while in Morro Bay visiting my mother - great early morning spot for me - several great coffees and home fresh baked pasteries -
Vanilla Latte was delicious. Breakfast burrito was good as was the bagel. Nice guy working the counter
Always so friendly! They do get pretty slammed at times, but their hardworking staff pulls through it and always delivers the best coffee and food!
Great coffee place. They have a variety of food and awesome smoothies! Stop by if you haven't been here.
Best coffee and baked goods in Morro Bay.
The coffee was so good we had to go back in and try another flavor really really a cute place and great pastries
I like turnovers and green tea here. Both of which I find ecquisite. Place looks simple. However, you will find attention to your asks and high quality tasty products that would likely cost more elsewhere.
Best Coffee shop in Morro Bay! Family owned and operated, wholesome food, steaming coffee, and good vibes ☮️ Morro Bay Coffee CO’s is operated with the upmost love and care; that attention to detail is bestowed to every component of the shop ☕️❤️
Great Coffee, friendly service, wide variety of breakfast items including eggs cooked to order!! The cinnamon rolls are great. I will be returning soon.
A lovely coffee place with tasty coffee and delicious pastries. The garden is a wonderful place to sit. My favorite experience was walking here in the morning - so peaceful!
Some places do many things just OK or poorly. This place does a few things GREAT. The baked goods are very good. The coffee is good too. I notice menu items for baked goods sell out fast. That says something about a bakery. Go early to get what you want.
Very quaint and amazing goodies and coffee
Sweet little spot. Great coffee! All of the milk alternatives:) great fresh baked pastries. Easy on/off hwy access.
My wife and I stopped by the Morro Bay Coffee company for a quick breakfast and a coffee. We were greeted by the owner, a clear disciple of the coffee bean and fellow seeker of perfection. The coffee was perfect, the chai delicious and the pasties and sandwich a perfect compliment for the flora and fauna that surrounded the comfortable and spacious seating. Well worth the time and the money.
Really great coffee! They are right off the round about by the freeway entrance, so they are very convenient to get to. My Dads Memorial plaque is right across the street in the center divider, so say hello to Albert you go by 👋🏽 He loved Morro Bay and loved his coffee, so cheers him when you get yours! This is my favorite coffee stop in MB ☕️
I support independent coffee shops. That said, this one is great. Casual, with very personal service. The staff will bend over backward to make each customer happy and feel at home. Try the lemon bars. I specialize in eating lemon bars, and theirs are GREAT!
Quiet, chill coffee shop, good place to work, tasty sandwiches
Nice little coffee shop. Always prefer to support local instead of Big Green. Oatmeal cookies were best I've had from any coffee spot. Prices were also great considering quality of the products.
Anytime we are in town this is a must stop breakfast place for us. They have great coffee, delicious breakfast sandwiches and the baked goods are fresh as can be. I highly recommend.
My first time in and I'm on the ketogenic diet and the women behind the counter was awesome! She gave me a great choice in the coffee and had heavy whipping cream! She was right best coffee ever!!! I will be back.
This is a great local spot. Unpretentious and great coffee, with a surprisingly broad selection of baked goods and breakfast items. A good amount of seating, and a small outdoor area for those lovely Morro Bay mornings.
Best coffee in town, I believe! After years of trial and error we discovered MBCC. Organic, flavorful coffee choices and never once disappointed. Convenient location right next to the Hwy 1.
Simply one of the best espresso cafe latte coffees I had in the USA. I noted also that the coffee was not so ridiculously hot, as it is often being served in most other places. Service was friendly even though I arrived fairly late in the day
Many drink choices for non-coffee people, but robust, rich coffee, a variety of teas, bakery treats and hand-held breakfast/brunch items. Many drink choices for non-coffee people and alternatives to dairy milk. Parking lot is peppered with coffee witicisms to make you smile. Inside, too. Easy to social distance.
Super chill laid back coffee shop. Organic coffee! The best gluten free bagel breakfast sandwich and is definitely homemade and doesn’t skimp!
Greatest Coffee on the intersection circle entering Morro Bay. Easy parking, comfortable garden chairs outside, inside enough bar chairs, great snacks and a morning California atmosphere 🇺🇸💪. The nice gentleman behind the counter has patience with our kids long term choosing their stuff... He offers home made marmalade and honey and donates to local community to support struggling people... Great place to be out of the crowd and working WiFi😄
My grandma has lived in Morro Bay my whole life and we both LOVE Morro Bay Coffee Company! The coffee is wonderful and my grandma absolutely loves the Chai latte. The variety of baked goods is also excellent and we love love love the egg salad sandwiches. Stop by on your way in or out of town, it's so worth it!!
Love supporting small businesses and this spot does it right. The coffee is really good and the food is also very delicious and made with care
Came for one cappuccino, and ended up having two. Best I've had in the week that I was in California!

This is my dream Café! The food taste great, the prices are better than anyone in town, the place is quiet and quaint, easy parking, this is my new spot. I got a breakfast burrito with sausage and a mixed berry scone. Both excellent.
My husband and I had the opportunity to check this little spot out on Our way out of town. We absolutely loved it. The vibe of the place was beautiful, there are so many options available. The person who served Us even gave Our little dog a treat and sent us out the door with extra goodies! We ordered a couple of smoothies and a spinach, tomatoe and cheese croissant, it was so delicious, we wish we got two. Thank You for the great service and delicious snacks. We will be making this a regular stop on Our way in and out of town from now on!
If you want to support a small business with delicious food and coffee and a hardworking owner, Morro Bay Coffee Co. is the place for you. The owner, Aja, is awesome and has made some great changes to the menu. The place is very clean and inviting and the food is excellent and fairly priced. The grilled bagel breakfast sandwiches are delicious and cooked fresh- no microwaved eggs here! The pastries are also delicious. My absolute favorite is their berry scone. I can’t wait to see all the continued changes and improvements to this place. Stop in, you won’t be sorry!
Have been meaning to stop for years. Finally did yesterday, and now I have a new go-to coffee shop that has good quality lattes and baked goods while also having top notch customer service. All at reasonable prices.
Asia makes the best coffee/tea and homemade baked goods!
Love this place. Great coffee and food .
Lovely owner, low prices compared to many other shops, good coffee and delicious baked goods. We were just traveling through Morro Bay and were very surprised how good the shop is. 10/10 would recommend.
Great customer service and full spread of pastries and cookies on display, heated on request. Entering the parking area requires going around the traffic circle to insure you approach it correctly the first time, but it is well worth the effort. Inside you will find a nicely furnished interior with counter seating as well as open air tables to wile away the morning hours with a warm cup of custom-brewed coffee out back.
Without a doubt, this is the best place in town to make a pitstop for coffee/breakfast/wifi lounge. Being a resident here in Morro Bay for 33 years, I am very familiar with all the competition this coffee shop faces and it doesn't take much time or thought to put this place on the top of the list when it comes to deciding where to stop before work.
Stop here every time I'm in town and am never disappointed. Aja, the owner, is great! Coffee is always amazing. Sandwiches/burritos always hit the spot. Pastries, that are baked daily, always satisfy the sweet tooth. 10/10 recommend!
very good coffee, great service. real quality beans ☕️☕️☕️
My son & I were visiting the area & stopped in on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago. I’ve also visited this place on other occasions with my wife as we live about an hour or so south of here. My son & I ordered 2 vanilla iced lattes & a breakfast burrito. Having grown up on breakfast burritos I will say that it was surprisingly tasty as I was expecting it to be just ok. Not because of anything outwardly wrong with the place or any past experiences, just I wasn’t expecting it to be so tasty is all. In other words I’m coming back again for another breakfast burrito soon. And yes the drinks were amazing as well. Also the owner was by herself helping everyone who came in the best she could as I believe her son was out of town. I work for a small mom & pop shop so hats off to you the owner for hustling trying to help everyone by yourself on a Saturday morning. I know it’s not easy. We will be back soon!!!!

I like this place but nothing really stands out here to me, just another regular old coffee shop...
Good coffee but I found a hair in my breakfast sandwich.
We go here once in a while if we are up early and need a cup of coffee on our way somewere. Teas are good.
Decent coffee and prices. Parking is good, but getting in and out can be difficult during high traffic times.
Feng shut at front door is super awkward for covid 19, but I love their lattes, dog treats and farmers market cameos
Good breakfast sandwiches made to order. Have not yet had the coffee.
Breakfast croissant was good but they forgot my avocado. Coffee is good.
Great selection of loose leaf teas, coffee and food with good service.
The coffee and scones are good. Not a big breakfast menu to choose from. They do have some outside seating that si nice.
Nice local vibe. My blended drink had good strong coffee in it, though I tend to like them a little sweeter.
Love this place! Especially the Joebella Organic Coffee. They had Pumpkin Spice Joebella that I had never had before. I had a small spinach salad and a peanut butter cookie ( a little sugar dominate) as well while I waited for my car repair to be done at a nearby shop. My only wish is that they offered Stevia as a sugar subsitute and that they offered organic food and pastry options. I would make it my regular stop if they did. Great atmosphere, nice people. Love the art too. Oh and Clean bathrooms , which is very important to me.
+ Great breakfast bagel sandwiches that are made fresh — no rubbery eggs and the very dank. My favorite is the Everything Bagel breakfast sandwich that comes with bacon. + wonderful baked goods selection and fairly priced. They even have a “one day old” selection for $1! And they are always good. I love their lemon bar! + Convenient location near the freeway and gas station. Not the most pleasant area, but it easy to get to when going in and out of town. + Great offering of coffee and tea selection. I also find their lemonades really good when you’re looking for something refreshing. I’ve tried their Chai latte a couple times now and it’s not their best. It tastes more like a horchata and is too milky (not enough of a chai kick). + Friendly and fast service — doesn’t get better than that when you need a cup of joe quickly. + lots of patio seating! Since the pandemic they have expanded it more so that it’s easier for their guest to social distance + interior is cozy and quaint. Lots of local art for purchase on the walls.
The pastries are amazing! The coffee not so much! But I would go back to buy up all the fresh pastries! 😁 Great location! On and off the highway. Easy access!
Very charming atmosphere with classic home made fresh blueberry muffins ( no sugar or icing on top) lattes were excellent (one was too strong until I realized the milk just needed to be stirred to evenly distribute the milk). Extremely friendly service with soothing music. Great spot for strong coffee. Everything is expensive these days so I understand why the muffins had so few blueberries, they were still really delicious. I really appreciated how nice the atmosphere felt inside. You should definitely give this location at least one visit when you are in the area.

Could use a little improvement. Needs better air circulation and more menu items. More places to sit outdoors would be great too.
It's a pretty good spot. Good coffee, good WiFi, and the baked goods are awesome.
Guy behind the counter was nice however my americano (which I find to be pretty hard to f up) tasted like water but my husband’s white mocha was nice.
The baked goods were good. Coffee was nice. Server—could have shared a smile!
Customer service isn't the defining feature here. I've worked all manner of customer service, food service, front desk etc etc where it's your duty to be on at all times. I know how thankless the public can be to these workers so i always make sure to greet, thank and tip . All but 1 of the workers has been flat out unpleasant. There is a young man who works there, he looks to be about 19 to 21 years old he is always friendly. However the two older gentlemen, who I assume are the owners barely give a sideways glance when I greet them or visit them a good day as I leave. There is a one who is on the shorter pumper side and while she does make a mean BLT, she has got to be one of the most unpleasant person I've encountered in the public service industry in a long time. no matter how many times I go in there , am friendly thank her and put bills in the tip jar, right in front of her, she continues to be sour . I try to keep in mind that we don't know what other people are going through and maybe she is having a personal crisis or is going through some struggles but damn! it just really stands out to me that maybe one employee had the normal level of people skills you'd expect in a coffee shop. Lastly, I've been ordering the same thing twice a week for two or three months and literally every time I order it, they make it differently!! It's never the same way twice. They Just slap it together how they see fit or how they feel like doing it that day. It makes it so it's always a surprise, will it be slathered with a gallon of Mayo? Will it be toasted? Will it have two pounds of bacon? Will it have spinach instead of romaine? Will it have any produce at all?
This is a quaint little self-serve coffe joint nested in Morro Bay. It's very small, but still good. I tried one of their specialty roasts today and I have to say it was just okay. I was expecting a little more boldness in flavor but it came off pretty mild. I stopped here to visit a friend who lives nearby and would again if visiting again. Just don't expect in your face type of flavor. Think Starbucks Pike Place and you've got an idea.
Literally right off the traffic circle on Morro Bay Blvd. just after Hwy 1 exit. Friendly with nice looking patio. Americano was okay but weak and lacking a good deep flavor. Baked goods reasonably priced but stale.
It could have just been a bad day, but I was a little disappointed in the service. The food was good, and the coffee was great. The shop has a nice ambiance, and a place you could sit down with your laptop and really get something done. It is a great place to journal, work, or just drink coffee and chat with a friend.
Cold aloof attitude from counter person. -"This is what we have, take it or leave it" attitude. Overpriced below average quality muffins. How do they stay in business?
Very disappointed, ordered 2 veggie and egg sandwiches on a croissant - said to come with egg, onion, tomato, and avocado with option of bagel or croissant. Well for $9.50 per sandwich I got a stale, greasy, burnt croissant with the smallest amount of avocado. Not worth $19, there isn’t even a quarter of avocado between both sandwiches. Eggs had no seasoning but were made fresh, only reason why I am leaving 2 stars instead of 1 star.

Stopped here because of the reviews. What a disappointment! Unfriendly service, disgusting bathroom, burnt oat milk. Next stop - Human Bean!!
Went in for a smoothie for my wife who is sick. She took one drink and said it made her feel MORE nauseous. I took a sip, and immediately realized the juice had turned. Apparently they don’t sell enough smoothies to keep their stock turned over, and don’t practice stock-rotation regularly. This makes me question the whole establishment’s sanitation and food-handling safety in general. In a part of town where coffee shops are abundant, I will not return. *When I returned the smoothie, the gentleman who made it offered me another one. I declined for the above reason.
Offensive exacerbating sign in parking lot should be removed but I see your evil so you probably wont
Ordered and iced caramel latte....did not taste like coffee...just syrup. Very poor quality. Banana nut bread was dry & bland. Do not reccomend...will not be coming back.
