I love going to small town cafes and being called "sweetheart" by the ladies working there! The food was great too!

We had a great visit to the Douglass Corner Cafe. There were 4 of us, and had plenty of room for us to sit comfortably and visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our order, and delivery to our table was quick. The food was happy home cooked style, and hit the spot. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop in for a bite.

A simple, but very tasty BLT, and fries to go with it. So good that I had a 2nd one🤪.

Great food, I tried the little buffet. Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fried squash, green beans and cornbread. Even came with desert. My company had the small chick fried steak. They said it was delicious and a huge serving for "the small". The service made me feel like I was back home with my grandma making sure I ate it all and didn't get extra "yes ma'am" all the way loved it.

Love seeing all these small-town folks enjoying food after Sunday church at several church gathering places around Nac county.

I enjoyed my fried chicken salad. The chicken was really good. Just wish it had some romaine instead of all iceberg. But good portion of chicken. The chicken fried steak was a bit tough. The onion rings very good. Gravy good. Service was great. Everyone very nice.

I love this place, or used too. Due to travel and work my wife and I have not been in to eat in a few months so we decided to swing by around 1130. There were 3 tables occupied, one was almost finished. Things have certainly changed.Our usual attentive friendly server was not there, instead a young soft spoken woman was. We went to our table, which had been somewhat wiped off, (no big deal maybe a busy breakfast run) we were handed a piece of paper as the menu, and asked what we wanted to drink. A water and a cup of coffee. We asked about breakfast and was told they "don't do that right now." She scurried off to get our drinks. She brought them to us and left...no utensils,no offer of creamer, no coffee spoon. Once she saw I added sugar she came back to ask if I wanted creamer, I then asked for a spoon. We ordered 2 chicken strips baskets large, which is what we normally eat there since it is has always been awesome. My wife asked to substitute the fries for a side salad as too much fried food make her ill. She brought out the salad and then our meal. Then the silverware. By now my coffee was almost gone and my wife's water was as half full. The "strips" were more like balls or medallions heavily salted and breaded then fried until the crust was like a kelar jacket. My wife looked around to get the servers attention but was unable to. We finished what we could of our meal, neither of us able to finish the strips. Not at any time was we checked on nor had our drinks refilled or even offered. We really like this place. The cook who came out explained nothing had changed and that they don't serve breakfast after 11... The young lady needs more actual training, learn to speak up, and be more attentive to her customers. Even offer a thank you and have a good day to them when they leave. I hate to see this place in this shape. Usually when we go by it is very busy, but lately it has not been. I am sure things will change, only hope for the best. The total was 24.88. I did not leave a tip, as my wife had to go ask for a to go box, we never received a bill, and the young woman ,( I still don't know her name. she never offered it), just stood there at the register like she was on guard. Never asked about the meal, just really poorly trained. This isn't her fault, she probably didn't know any better.

Had to take my food home to microwave it. My omelet was warm at most....the rest of my plate was cold. NOT what I paid for at all!!!! If I wanted a cold breakfast I would have had a salad!!!!
