I am visiting from Washington DC for work. We worked all day and I didn't feel like going out so I decided to Door Dash and came upon Raan. I ordered the spring roll, coconut soup (Tom Kha Kai), and Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. That soup is seriously one of the best soups I have every had. I put my main meal in the fridge. Two days later I told my coworker about it and he wanted to go to the restaurant itself. I had fried Thai Dumplings and Coconut Soup (again). Trust me you won't be disappointed. I added side of coconut rice. Worth going to or ordering from whether you are local or visiting
This place was the most delicious and most vegan-friendly Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. Great service, friendly waiters, everything came out super hot and fresh. I highly recommend the curry puffs, they are AMAZING. I wish I lived closer! I would make this my regular Thai spot
Very tasty and fresh! Nice staff! We went here after we discovered our favorite Thai place on Vets Highway closed. This was a very decent next step. The Pad se Ewe was savory , great, and a big portion. The vegetables and rice were good too!
This is my GO-TO Thai restaurant on LI! We love their food, especially their drunken noodles and panang curry. Thai tea is also a must. Service is really great, and we love coming here!
I've been a regular for years and the food never disappoints. The pad woon sen, the prik pao, and the pad thai are all flavorful and the chicken tender. The service is great, everyone is nice and attentive. This is my to go thai restaurant.
This is an amazing place for real, authentic Thai food. The flavors are just divine. I'm a big fan of the noodle dishes. They also can accommodate many food allergies or restrictions. Highly recommend.
The ambience here is amazing and so is the food. If you want spicy or even less spicy food this is definitely the place to come with their varying options of spice level. Their service is very welcoming.
100% authentic, fresh, and delicious, and they'll spice up your order exactly to your taste (three stars worth of heat is as high as I can go 😅) Plenty of choices and the penang curry sauce is so scrumptious you'll want to drink it. Cozy little place, great lunch specials, and generous portions that call for doggie bags. Family-owned and managed, and one of the owners was present the day I was there, always a good sign. They clearly take pride in their cooking here and do a brisk take-out business, too. I'll be back soon 😋
Ordered from them without knowing much. It was the closest Thai place to my house and we are new to the area. It was absolutely delicious. The spicy noodles were AMAZING and my fiancé very much enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. We will definitely be regular customers from now on. Ordered online for delivery and it was easy and delivery was quick!
I no longer live close by, but this was & forever will be my favorite Thai restaurant on Long Island. If I’m in the area, I will often stop by to grab 2 orders of my favorite so that I can eat over the week. The drunken noodles are the best. They actually pay attention to spice levels (I like to “cry” when I eat them LOL). Food is always fresh & waitstaff is friendly & accommodating. Tell me about a place better than this… I’ll wait. :)
Love this place! The chicken lettuce wraps are my favorite, but we often also order the Drunken Noodle and various fried rice. We LOVE the spicy heat. So glad we found you :) Don't sleep on the coconut rice - amazing!
New management has made service more efficient, but the food and atmosphere are just as pleasant as ever. The drunken noodles and the red and green curries are always comforting and delicious, and being able to adjust the spice level is a plus (make it super spicy and try not to cry)! This place is my go-to for rich and flavorful meals.
We went here for the first time tonight. It was one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been in. You can immediately tell the owners take pride and care of their business. The service was exceptional; the woman that helped us was friendly, professional, and attentive even though it was busy. The food was absolutely delicious. Both my husband and I loved our appetizer, main dishes, and dessert! Price wise, I would say the food is a fantastic value. The prices are good and the quality of the food/ingredients is high. There were so many things on their menu that we wanted to try- we will definitely be back! I even grabbed a take-out menu because I know I’m going to want this again soon.
In my humble caucasian opinion, this place has the best Thai food to be had in the immediate 60 mile radius. Drunken noodles with pork, #4 spicy are my "go-to", but I've had everything on the menu at this point. I drive past other Thai restaurants in the area to go here.
Soo yummy & the servers are so sweet. I’m vegan and gluten free and they’re very accommodating. Love the clear noodle soup and sautéed ginger. Been here a few times and their food is so good that I always forget to take a picture.
Had brought a friend here to try for the first time. Great food and great service. Both the sliced grilled pork over fried rice and chicken pad Thai were flavorful and had nice presentation. Very respectful staff. Will be back in the future to try more dishes!
Raan Thai packs a punch! The restaurant features creative, tasty, and bright meals. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere low-key. I recommend calling ahead of time to check for seat availability because this place is 🔥🔥
By far the best Thai food on Long Island. The sweet and sour chicken, Tom yum soup, and Thai won ton soup is heavenly and always so good every time we’ve ordered it. My husband and I have ordered here/ dined in many times and the food is always on point and consistently very good!
Great food. Very simple dining area.
Raan is my number one place to get Thai food in Suffolk county. Not only is the food always delicious, the proportions are big and you can customize your level of spice preference. On top of that, service is always excellent. Although they are not halal there is a variety of vegetarian and shrimp options.
Delicious food, as I got the Pad See Ew and the curry puffs. Would definitely recommend for good Thai food. Went on a Friday, and there was a wait but worth it!
A hidden gem best describes Raan Thai. Well balanced menu to suit all preferences. More than enough dishes to choose from but not enough to be overwhelming. Appetizers and main course were delicious. I wanted to try dessert but had no room left as the portions were large. Service was quick and friendly. Very basic atmosphere, but it adds to the charm giving it a local 'joint' feel. By far, some of the best Thai food I've had in a long time. They seem to do a lot of takeout as well as sit down. It's a small restaurant so I would recommend making reservations. I highly recommend Raan Thai.
I’m no expert on Thai cuisine, but I’ve been to enough of them , and Raan Thai is the best. Every dish is flavorful and always comes out hot. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I recommend making a reservation as there are only six tables
Have been here a few times, and the staff is always welcoming. Spice level is adjustable and pretty accurate to the scale. We always get the Pad See Ew or Pad Kee Mao. Look forward to trying more dishes. They even have a lunch special!
RAAN Thai is absolutely delicious!! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and pad see ew and they were immaculate and it was steaming hot and fresh and just super delicious. The atmosphere was really nice and I enjoyed eating there and the workers were super nice and helpful especially at the front desk they were super nice!!! I highly recommend going to this place to eat some authentic Thai food because that is what this place is it is AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD!!!!! Highly highly recommended everything was amazing to the workers and food
Great Thai food! We order takeout from here 3 times a month. It never disappoints. The staff is always friendly. Picking up is much cheaper than using a delivery service. Luckily I pass it on the way home from work. The Pad Se Ew is our favorite, and you can select the level of spice.
Spicy wonton soup excellent, curry puffs are good, garlic beef with veges, the best, server was prompt and friendly,,,,excellent all around. Lots of great vegetarian options.
A wonderful place for authentic Thai food. We come to this place every other week and always enjoy the food, fast service. The pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles are our favorite!
My bf and I order in from here frequently. I always get the pad Thai with tofu which is always a generous portion. My bf gets mixed vegetables with chicken and shrimp which is also a very generous portion. The spring rolls are tasty but better with the duck sauce. Everything is always hot and tasty..def a 5 star review!
Our party of 8 had a 7:30pm reservation - we arrived promptly and were quite surprised to see the place was busy - we got seated around 7:47pm - the wait just amped-up our appetite and we were NOT disappointed - The food was packed with flavor! We ordered dishes to share - Family LOVES soup - got 2 Large Tom Yum's, which we all polished off in no time. Next was the Chicken Pad Thai, which my Boyz simply can't resist! Our Thai Cuisine Experience is usually incomplete without our family favorite - Panang Curry, shrimp / chicken - these had just the right amount of KICK. We also tried their Peanut Curry - which was on the sweeter side and I did not mind that at all !! The service was pretty quick - and the servers were very polite and helpful - even the Vegetarians' in our group thoroughly enjoyed their Tofu Fried Rice. Overall, it was a fun evening with Family - created lots of memories along with simply delicious food! Thank you Lord!!!, we will definitely visit soon...
Best thai place I've had on LI. The food is great, the staff is friendly and helpful with explaining dishes, and the prices/portion sizes are great value! We love the Drunken Noodles and the tom yum soup! My girlfriend who grew up eating thai food in malaysia and thailand says it's the most authentic place she's tried in the US.
BEST Thai I have found on Long Island. I go here 1-2 times a week now. I try something new every time, and my mind is blown every time. Top favorites right now are the yellow curry: oh my gawd, it’s to die for. The perfect amount of spice and so much flavor. If you haven’t tried the gold bags, do it! Those little golden bags are filled with magic, and the sauce that comes with it is incredible. The staff is so kind every time! The prices are great also! 10 outta 10 every time.
I have been visiting this restaurant since its inception. I believe it has changed hands 3 times. I was just made aware when picking up my pad thai that they have changed hands again and of course my concern was for the quality of the food. Well no need to have concern...may I dare say that this is the best Pad Thai I've ever had here. Good and flavorable. So happy when I looked at the reviews to see that the food is still awesome. I can't wait to visit for a nice sit down dinner and to check out their currys. 🙂
I ordered food for delivery and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I had vegetarian drunken noodles with imitation duck. First let me say that I'm not a fan of drunken noodles but this dish made me a believer. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! I LOVE Thai food and not having a decent Thai place in Long Island for a while made me miss it. But this place was great and I would love to try their meat dishes. I also bought their tofu green curry which was amazing. I love Thai spice and it was just right! I'm hoping to visit in person soon and try more HOPEFULLY DELICIOUS options on their menu! Thanks guys and I wish you great success!
My daughter and I went here last night for her college graduation dinner, and it was delicious. We loved their chicken dumplings, shrimp in a blanket and coconut chicken soup! And the main entree - sauté seafood with vegetables - was out of this world delicious! It included tilapia lightly breaded, big juicy shrimps and clams in a light garlic sauce. The server was very attentive and helpful. The whole vibe was so relaxing and comforting. A real treat and we highly recommend it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely hidden gem! Great food, great service and a cozy family style atmosphere, please support businesses like this; everything I had was a 10/10 (curry puffs, mango sticky rice, curry masammam, fried rice with pork, coconut rice, coconut bread pudding, etc)
My wife and I came here today after her graduation ceremony and we had a wonderful time. I made a reservation online, and I received a friendly courtesy call to make me aware of the time the kitchen closes. They were able to accommodate our party of 5 for an earlier time. Upon arrival, we were greeted positively by the friendly staff. Everyone had a smile on their face while serving us. They waited patiently as we decided what to order. We ordered Curry Puffs, Basil Fried Rice, Thai Fried Rice, Pad Ki Mao, and Pad See Ew. We also received salad and egg rolls with each of our entrees. All the food arrived quickly and tasted both fresh and delicious! We were also pleasantly surprised because the manager gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate my wife’s graduation. We picked the Mango Sticky Rice, which was also amazing. The overall atmosphere was great also. We truly enjoyed our experience here and would be glad to return if we’re in the area. Highly recommend!
If you’re a fan of authentic Thai food, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit! I cannot rave enough about the curry. it was simply outstanding! The flavors were perfectly balanced, rich, and creamy with just the right amount of heat (as long aa you ask for low spicy). Each bite was a burst of freshness and spice, leaving me craving more. I also tried the Pad Thai, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the combination of tangy, sweet, and savory flavors was spot on. Don’t ask for level 5 spicy. You’re not ready.
While the ambience is mediocre, the service and food is spectacular. There is a very nice variety of food and you can order the spice to Your liking but beware level five is beyond hot! My family personally enjoys the pad se uh duck!! The duck is absolutely fantastic whether you have it in noodles or by itself. Also, when in season the mango dessert is fantastic. I have also had the curry chicken, which has such a wonderful flavor and worth a try. I highly recommend this spot.
Good Thai food. The Curry Puffs and Lettuce Wrap were both excellent! I had the Panang Curry with Chicken and liked it. I decided to go with a spice level of 2 out of 5, and thought it was the right amount of spice. The restaurant has a lot of seating and service was good
Raan Thai offers exceptional customer service and serves some of the most delicious, flavorful Thai dishes I’ve ever had. Every bite is bursting with authentic taste, making it a standout experience for Thai cuisine lovers. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy incredible food paired with top-notch hospitality.
I have gone to this place atleast 10 times. This is the best Thai restaurant on the island. I always get the beef drunken noodles and chicken panang curry. I have gotten food here dine in and takeout and the quality is the same regardless. I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants and I would definitely say this is one that I want to go to time and time again. Service is fantastic. Ambiance is great. Definitely a small restaurant but has cozy vibes. Would recommend this spot to anyone.
I decided to try something new today and the chicken mango curry did not disappoint. Each bite was packed with amazing flavor and the right amount of spice I needed. The only downside was that there was not enough rice. The price of the portion that was given seemed reasonable. I would definitely check out this place if you are in the area.
What a great find. The dishes here are so delicious and better than the Thai place we usually go to. We ordered spring rolls and the fried dry pork for appetizer. The pork was extremely delicious. And got the green curry fried rice w imitation duck, which has such a deep roasted flavor, so unique. Our server was friendly. Would definitely go here again
Update: Service was on time and food was as delicious as the first time. Yunaa was incredibly nice and was able to make my experience at Raan Thai better the second time around. Food was delicious, my coworkers and I enjoyed everything. We ordered lunch specials and it was all really tasty.
AMAZING food and fast, friendly service. We ordered the vegetable soup, steamed dumplings, chicken mangang curry, coconut rice, pad see ew with duck- which were all delicious! 10/10 will be back.
Food is amazing. A little on the pricier side for take out, but probably the best Thai I've ever had. I wish they gave more rice with the curries.
Raan thai serves up some real delicious Thai food. We went on a weekday night and fortunate to get a table as soon as we went. Seats filled up fast. The steamed dumplings and egg rolls were good starters. I got the Raantgai noodle. Loved the flat rice noodle and the duck was so soft. Loved every bite. My colleagues said their food tasted good too. Their black sticky rice with coconut pie slice was unique too. Cheers to the smiling staff and the quick service.
I thought the regular pork was great, but the grilled pork is amazing! I'm in love with the pad see ew, which is the proper mahogany color. I've only had delivery so can't speak to the dine-in experience, but the noodles are amazing so drop whatever else you might consider for dinner and order these!
I have been here several times, and it never disappoints. The staff is really nice and very friendly. They have a lunch menu and a full menu. I recommend the lunch menu if it is lunchtime as it comes with one spring roll and a salad, which you can replace with a soup. As appetizers, I recommend the Thai fried chicken dumplings and chicken curry puffs. Additionally, I highly recommend the Thai milk iced tea. I tried the Thai milk coffee too, but I prefer the iced tea. For the main dish, I have tried the Thai fried rice (both shrimp and chicken), red curry fried rice, and green curry dish, and they were all very tasty. You can choose any spice level you want. As a side dish, I tried the coconut rice, but I didn't like it. Overall, this place is one of the best I’ve been to, and I 100% recommend it.
A very pleasant experience. A small dine-in Thai restaurant in Nesconset/Smithtown. What makes this place so unique is their attention to “spice level”. We have been ordering take out from here for years, and this was our first time eating there. Enjoying the food straight from the kitchen definitely elevated our favorites! If you enjoy duck, this is a must try! Our second favorite was the fried vegetable dumplings. They were crispy triangles that reminded me of crispy rice! The desserts were a special treat that you can’t get anywhere else. Staff was super helpful and it has a real local vibe. Seems like most there were regulars. Don’t be discouraged by the small dining area. The food is the star and best when fresh!
Best Thai restaurant in Suffolk county. You will easily drive by the restaurant as it's a hole in the wall tucked in a small strip of stores with a small sign in the front. The dining space is small but cozy. The bathroom is very clean. The staff is very nice and the service is very quick when the restaurant is not busy at peak hours. They are also freaking with a high volume of to-go orders! But the food is to die for. Incredible selection of food and wonderful appetizers. The wonton soup, drunken noodle and curry selections are truly very savory and tasty. You will not be disappointed here! I have been coming here for over a decade and no other South Asian restaurant compares.
First time eating here. So here is my honest review. The restaurant is clean and staff is friendly and professional. I ordered the sweet sausage fried rice and my GF ordered Thai Mango curry chicken. Please see before and after pictures. I even liked the menu printout and presentation. Lastly, they did not pass on the credit card charges to their customers which I find unethical! Way to go Raan Thai!!!
OMGOODNESS the Red Curry with shrimp and the chicken Basil Pad Kaprow were sooooooo delicious. The chicken was so flavorful! The coconut rice -sweet yumminess, went well with the curry. The spice level of 3 was perfection! Good lord, thank you for good food. So thankful someone overheard me asking for a Thai restaurant recommendation and sent me here. We’ll come back every time we’re in town! Great service & prices to boot!!! Next time I have to save room for dessert! 1 last thing I witnessed another restaurant goer cleaning his bowl clean with his finger, I mean the flavors are so tasty, that might be me another time. Lol
A fantastic place for Thai food! It's rare to find good Thai food on Long Island, and this place certainly serves some great dishes. They are also very serious about the spice levels! The Pad Thai was rich and flavorful. There was a great chew to the noodles and the spicy level was perfect. The appetizer sampler was also a great start to the meal. Chicken wings were tasty and juicy. Thai dumplings and rice balls were also great. The Thai Iced tea was delicious and refreshing, especially after a few bites of the spicy noodles! The service was great. The young woman who served us was very helpful and friendly. I've been to this place several times and they seem to be very consistent on serving great food and a good experience. Would definitely recommend!
Had such a great experience eating lunch here. The food was delicious and great portions. The staff was so friendly. I noticed a lot of regulars there and the staff was talking to them and laughing and smiling. Such a great atmosphere. My favorites that I got from here is the garlic prawn, crispy roti, Thai ice tea, and mango stick rice.
I went to this restaurant today for the first time, with some friends we were greeting at the entrance, with a warm welcome. Therefore the lady bring the menu and serve us water and she give us plenty time to make our minds and choose whatever please us at the menu. We order our food and we been amazingly surprise we receive and Authentic 5 stars quality Thai Food, with an natural aroma and well presented as well. When I taste the food I feel the same experience when I am eating at restaurant in Bangkok City. It is a very nice place with precious piece of arts in the décor all over the walls. The space it is small may of a capacity of 20 to 25 people can dine in at the same time not much. I believe if you plan to go there on holyday's, of on weekend it's may be wise to call for a reservation. This a 5 stars service, a five stars quality and taste in term of original Thai Cuisine. I you are living in long Island around of Suffolk County. Please take a tour at the beautiful Smith Town to Visit Raan Thai Restaurant to find Authentic Asian % stars Cuisine to experience heaven on heart. As a local guide and a specialist in Asian Middle East and Mediterranean Cuisine. I highly recommend...
Great Thai food and friendly staff! Best Tom Yum in the area. The spring rolls were light and full of veggies that were beautifully seasoned. Duck was crispy on the outside and tender inside; served over a pineapple curry with lots of veggies that were lightly cooked and remained full of crunch and taste! Spice was just enough to complement the sweetness from a pineapple and coconut rice! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Our server lady was great. She made sure all our food requests were fulfilled! Oh, and portions are generous! What could be better:) Raan Thai - new favorite place!
Updated 7/17/2020 Really good food and friendly staff. I’ve been here several times and the food is flavorful and always consistent. I don’t live close enough for delivery so I’ve only picked up and dined in. I went recently and they have indoor seating available again and a large tented outdoor area for guests to enjoy. Due to covid they have limited indoor seating, very spaced apart which I appreciated. We opted to eat inside because it was too hot outside and I’m very impressed with their cleanliness. I usually order several appetizers and share entrees with my girlfriend. They have a special where you can order an assortment of 3 apps, all of which are house made, and you can tell. I usually opt for the crispy rice balls, curry puffs and spring rolls. For entrees I highly recommend the grilled sliced pork and drunken noodles. I asked the owner if I could try the sliced pork with noodles instead of rice and they happily created me an off menu item(photo below). It is the sliced pork with vermicelli noodles and veggies. Really tasty! They also have good desserts and beer/wine selection. The staff has been really attentive and friendly every time I go, and the owner is usually there too. He remembers us now always says hello and makes sure we are taken care of. Overall between the food and service, Raan Thai has become one of my go to restaurants. I’m glad they stayed open during the pandemic, they are one of the good ones. They get 5 stars from me!
This seemingly small place in a plaza will pass you by quick if you are not looking. But make no mistake , stop here , try the food it is a hidden gem. A casual atmosphere with a reasonably priced menu. Service was great , dishes came out fast and the taste is excellent. We ordered red curry chicken, pad Thai and papaya salad all three dishes were excellent. I must say this is the best Thai food I've had in Long island. I will definitely pay this place a visit next time I'm in town.
I have ordered twice from here now and ive had problems with both. The first order i had ordered chicken puff with no chicken in it. The second time is just a few minutes ago, and got a drunken with shrimp and chicken. What i got was noodles with just shrimp and no chicken. Please pay attention to the details of the order when you make food. Edit: (I stand corrected) When I ordered through the pickup platform i thought that i could check off 2 meat options at the same time, but when i rechecked you can only do 1 at a time. And for the chicken puffs, I vividly remember carting out the chicken curry puff but the receipt says regular curry puff so i stand to be corrected on that one too. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Nonetheless, the food tasted good.
We came here for a casual dinner and ordered the triangle chives cake, curry puffs, drunken noodles w/ tofu and drunken noodles w/ chicken. The service was great. The apps were pretty good, will get those again. The drunken noodles had a bit too much salt or msg. It was a bit too flavorful but not in the right way. Also the option of 1 spice level for drunken noodles was disappointing. I wouldn't order drunken noodles again.
Ordered Grubhub from this restaurant- and would order again when looking for delivery service Thai food. Their chicken satay was delicious, their beef satay was okay. Their Pad Thai shrimp was okay- I feel like there could've been more flavor, and especially more shrimp. Their beef basil rice was tasty. Quick, tasty Thai food. Recommend. $80 on grub hub with tip.
Wow! This is a hidden gem 💎 on Terry Road servicing Smithtown and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Just a simple store front with a nice staff a great food. Many Asian people patronize this place. The Pad Sew, Curry Puffs, and Spring Rolls are recommended. The Massaman Curry 🍛 was great along with the Coconut 🥥 Rice 🍚. The Beef Satay was either steamed or pan cooked and I prefer it to be grilled. Reasonably priced. Credit cards are accepted. We will definitely be going back. Thank you to the owner for responding. We’re looking forward to patronizing your establishment again soon. ESJ
Food looks delicious. Complimentary salad and spring roll (1 each person) for lunch special. Our waitress messed up our friend's order, even tho, all of us could answer it correctly at the same time. Mine tasted slightly burnt and I asked mine to be very spicy, they forgot to put spice on... Overall experience was decent
Food decent and overpriced—service: HORRIBLE. Need more training cause they messed my order up three different ways. Gave a good tip and the weird one with the really fake smile made a face
It was my 1st order this place, I made an online order and pickup by myself. When I opened the container at home, I'm so disappointed all the food did not look so delicious. First of all, the Cury puff looks so uncooked, so i put this to airfry to cook more. And it was so good. Next, when I tasted the tomyum soup, taste was not bad, but there are very few things in the soup, even the main menu, also mostly vegetables. It had very few chicken in it. Most of all, it wasn't that bad, but I was disappointed because the cooking condition and amount of ingredients.
I love the Thai Food here but my review is based on the amount of food received for pickup. I picked up dinner which included 2 orders of curry. The two containers were mostly full of curry sauce only - about 3/4 of it and about 1/4 of the jar contained the veggie and about 8 slivers of thin chopped meat. Dinner prices are almost $20 and to receive a jar full of curry sauce is disappointing. This happened last time which is why I haven’t ordered pickup in awhile. You receive more veggie/meat when you dine in, even the lunch special is better than the dinner takeout. Please don’t do this to your valuable customers because you will lose them. Now I have to find another place for Thai food or if I order from here ever again, I’ll have to tell the person on the phone about this review.
My beef curry had four pieces stuck together- so the middle pieces and pieces that were stuck to the middle were uncooked. The beef also tasted old. The fried vegetable dumplings were full of oil- my wife tried to squeeze out the oil- to no avail. Never again-what a terrible meal
Of late, their quality of food has gone down very badly! A recent taste of Tom Yum soup (its a signature soup of Thailand) has really made me vomit - its so dilute with no taste at all, over-cooked shrimp felt like rubber! May be they changed the chef? If so, its a very bad choice! Well, they wouldn't care about the quality, wouldn't they, for there is hardly a competition for them nearby, and their customer-base is very substantial... Paid $90+ for the order, yet feel cheated and sad :(
The service was fine and the Thai iced tea was good — though I can’t imagine a place messing that up. The papaya salad was overly salty/sweet. The spring rolls were a good size (and not oily) but I found them a bit bland. We shared a pad Thai and although I asked for the shrimp extra well-done, they were just cooked. I was surprised that they didn’t put lime wedges on the plate, as it’s such a unique and signature flavor in Thai and the citrus balances out the sweetness of the sauce. The strangest thing was how thin the noodles were. Although they were the right texture, the shape was almost like angel hair. Way too thin as pad Thai noodles are normally flat and thicker.
Terrible food, overpriced, interior of this restaurant looks like the old shack. Would not recommend it.
It took me while to post a review. I recently experienced a bad behavior from the staff of this restaurant. I went to dinner, I didn’t like the food, I have been here lot of time but that day the food not up to it. I ended up not paying the tip, right away the person threw my card on the bench and complained to another lady. Once we are leaving she stopped and demanded for tip, she said it’s American culture to tip, I was never forced by anyone not being demanded for tip in the past from any American restaurants. We left the remaining food and left, while leave the lady who demanded for food, shouting “next time do a take don’t come here “. This is atrocious behavior, I have been in this country for more than 10 yrs never faced this rude behavior that too for tip. Is tipping an American culture?. I’m never visiting this place.
Food is good but serving people are too rude. If you want great service avoid this place.
Unfortunately, they have horrible customer service. They nickel and dime you for every little thing including if you ask for powdered pepper flakes on the side. Their prices are unrealistic and high already. In addition, their curry is way too salty. And does not taste authentic. Lastly, there is no meat or minimal meat.In addition to the fact that I paid for beef
