Super place! We stopped by late one night, and it was almost closing time. We ordered to go but the staff appeared ready to leave and gave that "hurry up and order already!" Vibe. Otherwise, it was great.

Very good food. Salads are fresh and huge. Sandwiches are delicious. The NB location appears to be understaffed for lunch, but who isn't. We placed an online order, and the food was ready when we got there. They did leave out one lemon blueberry cookie, a shame because they are melt in your mouth good. I'll be back for my cookie Mc. ( :))

This place is great. My order inadvertently was messed up....but the way the employee John helped resolved it was above and beyond. He was polite, professional and very friendly. Because of his great service and the friendly team members there I will be a loyal guest. The food is fabulous, the restaurant is clean....but most of all the service is amazing.

This place is amazing. First of all the employees are super nice. The food is delicious and filling. The half spud is actually a full sized potato that is loaded. The kids menu is the best priced food we have seen in many years. We will be back, maybe tonight.

EASILY the cleanest, nicest and all around best McAllister's I've been to! The staff is VERY friendly, the food is so good it makes you want to come for every meal of your day AND the MANAGER, Zach, came out PERSONALLY to introduce himself and make sure the food was of the highest quality. It's such a pleasure coming to this restaurant every time I'm in town! Highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed.

First time in years been to McAlister's and really enjoyed. Ordered online for pick up. Greater quickly, got my order and everything was correct. The salad was fabulous. Now a days you usually get a lot of lettuce and little else. The salad was loaded!!!!

This place was awesome! I ordered a salad and it tasted great and looked great, and it was way bigger then I thought. Not to mention the people were very nice and the manager came to check on us. We also got our food pretty fast.

This place is amazing. Good prices for healthy options. I have 4 children. 2 of them are vegetarians and the other two eat very little vegetables and love meat. My fiance loves meat and rarely eats salads. Since we got engaged he has went on a diet and the only place he actually buys a salad is McAlister's. He loves them because they are loaded with flavor and plenty of meat options. All in all a great place for my family as we have 6 different opinions as too what is good and everyone finds something they like here.

I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and overall experience here. McAllisters is relatively new in New Braunfels, and so I had never cared to go and give it a try until a friend chose it as our meeting place. I have always been a schlotzkys snob, but I think I might have found their best competitor. The food was marvelous, and the small things were appreciated (paper menus, pictures on the kids menus, etc.) I was satisfied :)

Stopped by while on a business trip, absolutely loved it!!! The employees were very attentive and the manager Adrianna was awesome!!! She was extremely enthusiastic and gave the best service ever!! I have been to quite a few McAlisters and this one definitely ranks as one of the best.

The Front Staff especially Barbie super nice! Super helpful! I first went through drive thru but as FYI the drive thru only for pick up. I am from out of town so wasn't aware. So if you do use this location. Have to go in and order your to go. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on croissant and for my side I ordered Broccoli soup for an additional $3.69 I believe. Well WORTH IT! I should have just broke down and ordered Large. So good. It was great! Barbie was very helpful in helping me navigate the menu. My husband loved his sandwich as well. I drove 40 minutes home and both sandwiches and soups still in tact and soup was still hot! To go bag was spacious! Place looked very clean. Now parking slightly to be desired but I'm young enough to still walk up from the parking and up the curb.

This was our first time here, and we didn't know what to order. When asked if we needed help, AJ (the general manager) helped us to navigate the menu as we were searching for the healthier options. He was very patient and kind when helping us with the menu, and seemed genuinely grateful for the opportunity to make our first experience here a good one. Finally we placed our order, I got the Kings Club with broccoli, and my wife got the McAllister Club with potatoe salad. My sandwich was huge! I asked if they had directions on how to eat it, and AJ laughed politely. The food was absolutley delicious. We both saved half our sandwich for later in the day. The steamed broccoli was already seasoned, and I found it to be much better than most places I get steamed broccoli from. It was quiet in the restaurant, and the food came quickly. 10/10 would come back, as I love that this is more of a guilt-free delicious option as compared to most other fast food services. The staff is working on becoming amazing. The managers are new and still learning📚, from my understanding, and are doing a great job💆. The atmosphere is quiet between lunch and dinner rush so this is a good time to go. The food🍴 is delicious, however, pricey🤑. There specialty is Texas tea 🥃 and it is always fresh and delicious😋. I like the 🍑 peach tea the best. There is NO drive thru. You can call in orders and go online or go in and sit down😁. You are not just a number to them, they will announce your name😍.

Well, I have officially moved back to Texas and it is onward toward finding new wonderful restaurants to review! This is exciting for me to explore the many places that didn’t exist when I first lived here. Today, we will be looking at McCallister’s Deli in New Braunfels, TX. As it is my usual approach, I always start with the “As Delivered” photos. The first photo presents how the food arrived, and on the next four I took a photo of each of the items, which will include the Kid’s Ham and Cheese Grilled Cheese, The French Dip, Kids Broccoli Cheddar (also has Chicken in it), Steamed Broccoli, and Mac n’ Cheese. Following these photos, you will find three of the Kid’s Ham Grilled Cheese plated and the French Dip plated as well. No onto the review! I will first start with the Kid’s Grilled Cheese. This thing was great and yes, I took a bite as who can resist a grilled cheese! I always order for my Dog as he is my “kid” so he found no offense at me taking a bite of his sandwich. I used some of the sides that I ordered in plating it and decided to go with the Steamed Broccoli and Mac n’ Cheese. I will cover the sides independently a bit further down. The bottom line with this sandwich is that I found it to be very tasty with the ham complimenting their cheese selection beautifully. It passed the “melting test” as I like to call it and I may consider ordering a couple of these for myself! Now for the pièce de résistance…the iconic French Dip. As most of us know, it is either right or it is wrong. No in between in my mind where this is concerned as I’ve been eating them since I was five and in preschool. Hands down I will safely say this is in the top three that I have ever had! The reason I say this is the way it was done as I have never had one presented to me with such a unique taste. Picture this, smoked and charred thinly slice Roast beef. By itself the taste was just amazing with that slight char on the meat and the smoke flavor. I could eat it without the Au Jus if I wanted to, but where is the fun in that? The Au Jus was what I was hoping for and that was great! We all know that sometimes you get some Au Jus that simply seems like it came from a watered down can or something. This was an excellent dip and most importantly, it was an outstanding compliment to the smoky flavor of the sandwich itself! Well worth a try if you are a fan of French Dips like I am. I enjoyed all the sides, but the one that really shined the most was the Kid’s Broccoli Cheddar! I was happy to see that it had Chicken it and that the chicken was good quality Chicken as that is one of my big things with Chicken pieces. The taste was simply pleasurable, and I found myself wanting a lot more of it, so like the Grilled Cheese I may consider ordering more of this the next time. It almost kind of makes me think a bit about King Ranch Chicken Casserole for some reason and that is a good thing. The Mac n’ Cheese was homemade and I found it to be pretty good. I’m not a Mac n’ Cheese fan but the dog is so he got the larger portion of it. The steamed Broccoli had a very light seasoning and I found it to be just right for something that a child could eat. All the sides were good, but as I mentioned above that Kid’s Broccoli Cheddar is the clear winner! Final Thoughts: This place is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a wide variety of items to choose from that have quality ingredients! I even spoke to the store and their customer service is excellent. Stop by this place if you are from out of town. You won’t regret it. Plus, you can get some grocery shopping done in the same plaza!

Was good enough, may have been there on a bad day. One person running the whole front. Soda refills were behind the counter and had to wait for that one person to refill drinks.... food was good for 20 dollars but for near 40 dollars for three of us to eat I expected more.

The typical McAlliser food was delicious. Lack of staff was evident in the service. I felt sorry for the guys hustling like crazy to to the best they could. I'd go back!

Food is always great! Staffing has been an issue recently. But looks like there is a new crew getting trained. This is my go to place.

This was my first visit to a McAlister's Deli and I would definitely return again. I really liked the Chili Chicken Totilla soup. The loaded baked potato named Spud Max was good. Next time I think I will try one of the sandwiches and update my rating if applicable. I wish they would expand their stores to Kentucky.

I went to McaAlisters deli because i wanted a good sandwich. I got the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad. The Italian sandwich was not as good as I remembered. It was kind of just dumped on the roll, and it was just too clumped up. I really miss the Mufaletta they used to offer.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is super healthy and the atmosphere is super clean and welcoming. I was a bit surprised it wasn’t more crowded. The salads are huge enough to share, so it’s a great place to go with a group. I highly recommend it!

First time here. I like the atmosphere. Very clean. Ordered at the counter. Super nice young man took my order. I ordered a Reuben sandwich, one of my favorites. As you can see from the picture, the meat was abundant. Lots of it. It was delicious. I really enjoyed this sandwich. I definitely will be back again. Highly recommend.

Slowest service ever. It took me almost 20 minutes to get a club sandwich. You would think if I'm paying $11 for just a sandwich that it would be loaded, but unfortunately this sandwich fell short. There was very little meat, razor thin cheese, and probably 4 small leaves of lettuce. I left hungry and disappointed.

Good food but very unorganized and slow service. I have been to this location 3 times and each time my order took over 30 minutes. This time I only ordered potatoe salad and cookies.

It was okay. I've eaten at a lot of McAlister's deli's, and I almost always get the same thing. A BLT+Avocado. They always pile the bacon on it, you gets lots of bacon, a lots of sliced avocado. Not at this location. At this location, you get a few slices of bacon, and a few pieces of chopped up, not sliced, avocado. So, it's okay, but definitely not my favorite location.

Food and service was good but the floors in the entire restaurant were very dirty and sticky. They had not been cleaned in a while.

Recently made my first trip. I will give it another try, but the lettuce was kinda slimy and my soup was not hot. There were only 4 other tables occupied so tough to say what the issue was. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and sorted everything out. I am hopeful...

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have gluten free bread, although it is not on the menu. The sandwich was very good but the cucumber and tomato salad was awful. There was no vinegar in the salad marinade and they didn't peal the cucumber, which is not appetizing.

Party of 3 adults and 2 children. I ordered coffee to drink. They made a fresh pot, and it was drip coffee (good) but coffee quality wasn't great, and I was never offered a refill, even though there were few other diners at the off-peak time we were there and they had just made a fresh pot. Kids' menu seemed to be bit light on protein, but to end on a happy note, the French Dip sandwich was excellent. I will try peak hours sometime to see if service is better then, but unless they change the kids' menu or the composition of the meals, I will probably have the same impression on that point.

I ordered a roast beef and cheddar sandwich and a cup of chili from the choose 2 menu. Both were very good. The manager helped us use our $5.00 off $15.00 coupon which enabled the two of us to eat for under $20.00.

Delivery driver. Order was ready for 20+ minutes, as I had another order to wait for at another restaurant before arriving at McAllisters Deli. What could have been a very simple handoff turned into a lengthy wait of 8 minutes at the restaurant for an order already ready, around the pick-up wall. In her defense, the girl at front was very overwhelmed as there was a line. On another subject, it is always hot in restaurant and smells like a wet dog. The food looks great. However, the delivery business is just as important as people waiting to place orders. There are many other places for people to order from online. Keep all of the customers by providing a good flow of both incoming and pick-up orders.

Mid afternoon and hardly anyone there. 3 business men having a meeting in the quiet corner, a man with his service dog and maybe 3 other people. Disappointed in the food, not that interesting. The roast beef with horseradish, had little to no horseradish on it. Modern take on a real deli, won't go again.

Decent place, pretty run of the mill typical mainstream restaurant. Not a bad sandwich and the broccoli cheddar soup is good. However, the tables are gummy feeling and the music choice in the lobby is awful both times i’ve been here. Please just turn it turn and pick something less obnoxious. I don’t even know what it is but it’s annoying.

I came in at 5:30 and it took 17 minutes for my food to get to me. When it did get to me it was cold. It appears they have four people working and there may be a cook back there, but I couldn’t tell because I couldn’t see anybody. It really has no excuse for giving any customer cold food.

Quality control at night needs works. I ordered a stud and when I opened the box it has no cheese.... just veggies on a potato. I called and they told me to bring it back and they would put cheese on it. Why can't you just make another correct one? Also the avocado was very brown on my sandwich. Also, if you get a soup, it will be the very bottom of whatever is left and might not be a full cup. Would not suggest going to night.

Make certain to order your food beforehand. The service was exceptionally slow. My friend and I waited 25 minutes for a "to go" order consisting of 2 cups of soup and two unsweetened iced teas.

I had never been to this location before but my coworkers have always told me it was great, and it is close and I wanted soup so I tried it. My husband and I both got a pick two which is a half a sandwich and a half a soup. Now he ended up upgrading his soup to make it from a cup to a bowl, He also added a few things to his sandwich so all the extra cost ended up being five to seven dollars, which would have been fine. When I arrived to pick it up there wasn't many people waiting it wasn't that busy and it's only took 10 minutes of waiting there (the email said my order would be done a lot sooner but I didn't mind.) Now when I did finally get the food it was almost like it was thrown into the bags these soups were upside down The sandwich containers were opened and it just looked very very messy. But I did see we have two soups & 2 sandwiches so I just went home. When I got home, my husband realized he didn't even have the correct sandwich none of the extras got out on and his soup was too small. So the extra $6 was for nothing. I will say that the chedder and broccoli and potato soups are amazing just wish they got the sandwiches correct.

Floor was sticky, and looked like it hadn't been swept in a while, several "unclean" tables. The girl who took our order had to be told, at least twice that we wanted the tuna salad rather than the sandwich. And my salad arrived WITHOUT the primary ingredient!

We dined at this location on May 21, 2019. Our server was awesome! Polite, knowledgeable on products and patient with us as we ordered. He brought us our food promptly. However, the manager on duty, not sure if it was the store manager or a shift manager was screaming at the kitchen to hurry up, 10 seconds, get a move on. The entire dining room could hear her unprofessional manner of managing people. I wrote to the McAlister's website, and I guess it was her who answered me. It was written as if a 2nd grader wrote it...no punctuation, no capitalization and words misspelled. She basically blew me off and told me it was a contest for the employees. And that her screaming helped them win. What she really meant to say is your opinion doesn't matter and that I now have my name next to a crew who won a contest. Diners don't care about a contest. This isn't a diner in New Jersey where orders are shouted through the kitchen window. The quite atmosphere people go there to enjoy was shattered by her screeching. I will never go back again. it was the most unprofessional behavior I've seen and the answer was unsatisfactory..no remorse. I gave it two stars for our server. She deserves no stars.

I am used to McAlister's being awesome with superb fresh foods, but this location has disappointed. Ordered nachos and got a to-go plate FILLED with chips and a tiny cup of chili, and a tiny cup of shredded cheese. I wasn't happy about having to make my own food, but was completely unprepared for toppings that wouldn't even cover a quarter of the meal. Did give them a 2nd try, but meals just seem to be overpriced for what you receive. I will continue to visit stores out of town instead.

The French dip sandwich was great. But the overall ambiance was bad. The place smelled dirty. The restroom was non functional and the floors were sticky. The menu was very confusing, there are sides and premium sides so If you order a premium side you are charged extra.

This location on 46 near HEB has been severely understaffed since 2020. The wait times are extremely long sometimes taking 45 mins or longer. The owner of this location is failing the staff by not having more people available to work. This use to be my number one spot but now I have to go with Chick-fil-A as the wait time is a faction of the time. Issues are fixable with the right leadership.

They need more employees to better serve their customers. I know this is a problem especially after covid. Took fourth minutes to get our food. Floors have always been sticky here. Food was not as good as it has been in the past.

Amazing food when they can get the order correct. Haven’t been here in a few years because of it. Thought we’d give them another chance, all new people same problem. If you modify what you’re ordering expect them to get it wrong. It’s very disappointing because the food really is good.

Needs a deep cleaning. The dining room floor is sticky. The restroom floor is even more sticky. The tables are somewhat sticky. I didn't see staff clean anything or bus a table in the more than half hour that I was there. I made the mistake of picking up a laminated kids menu, and it stuck to my hand. Another guest walking by apologized to me for the noise her shoes were making, as she was sticking to the floor. Food was good, but maybe questionable due to the unclean conditions.

My wife and I had a bad experience at this particular McAlister's. We ate here about two weeks ago and was not impressed. Before we entered there was a sign on the door saying "there may be longer wait times due to understaffing." Okay. Understandable. However when we walked in first thing we noticed was a mostly empty restaurant but with dirty dishes at nearly every table. 2 employees behind the cash register area and two in the back area, I assume cooking or preparing food. I understand they could've just had a rush but there were maybe only 2 other customers in the store at the time and so I didn't understand why the two employees were behind the register joking and laughing. They also continued to do so for another 3 or 4 minutes after we ordered our food. I personally was embarrassed for them because there's no way I'd have been comfortable allowing customers to see the mess left at every table the way it was. I understand they're understaffed but if you have time to talk and joke behind the register, you have time to bust tables. Also the salads my wife and I did receive we're not good. I got grilled chicken salad, my wife got the southwestern salad with avocado. The lettuce or greens they used in my salad had a "dirt" like taste to it. My wife didn't enjoy her salad either as the greens didn't taste fresh. The only thing we did enjoy was the chili we both got. McAlister's has the best chili in our opinion. We both love McAlister's deli but this location let us down that day.

I ordered a Southwest Salad today and paid $2.49 to add bacon. When I looked at the salad, the bacon was maybe the size of a quarter! I told the lady that I added bacon, and that there was livery little on there. I showed her and she stated that was the proportioned amount she was supposed to put on there. I came in there today and ordered a salad at 12:42pm. It wasn't until 1:05pm that I received my salad. When I received my salad there was no dressing, no plastic ware, no crackers and my dessert was also not in the bag. I was told that the reason I did not get my food was because someone sat it over in the drive thru area. When I addresses this with the manager she said "you ordered it during the rush." There were people who had ordered their food after me and sat down and got theot food before me. The manager then asked "so do you want your money back?" I wanted to eat my salad so of course I did not opt for getting my money back. I feel like it is a training issue and this should not have taken almost 30 minutes for me to receive my lunch order when I get 1 hour for a lunch break. Do better. Well, I thought I'd give it another try, because I do enjoy their salads, but it should not take them 25 minutes to prepare a salad. Even their general manager wasn't helping to make the food for other patrons. There was also a gentleman in there who could not wait any longer and had to ask for his money back because he had to go back to work. There was another gentleman in the restaurant who was waiting for a piece of cake. One piece of cake and it took him longer, to get his piece of cake, then it did me to get my salad. Do better hire more people if you don't have anybody to come work for you. The customers should not have to be the ones that are suffering because there is a lack of staff.

I've tried McAllister's 3 times now. The first time was amazing!! Second time(yesterday) got my order wrong, ordered the veggie spud, got the spud max. Very upsetting since I don't eat pork had to take it back and go without lunch. Today I decided to give it another shot. Ordered the Veggie spud, and it came with some weird wanna be cheese on top. Think maybe the cheese is bad. Discolored and smells. Another 10 hr day without lunch. I won't be going back. Very disappointed.

We have lived in New Braunfels for close to a year now, and everytime we go into this McAlisters, it is always dirty. This last time, floors were so dirty that our shoes stuck to them and would squeak when we walked. There are never a lot of people dinning in, but it's hard to find a clean table (table top AND chairs). I do not recomend going here.

Very few staff, the girl behind the counter was more concerned about sorting the silverware the getting our order, the floors looked like they hadn't been swept in a week (filthy and sticky), half the tables had dirty dishes form previous dinners, our food was cold (a Ruben, a spud, and a side of mac & chesse). This was on a Sunday evening around 5:30pm with only 5 or so other dinners. If they keep this up they won't be in business long. Get it together folks.

Second time trying this place and disappointed again. Obviously under staffed which is to be expected right now, but totally missing my online order and having me wait 20 minutes longer than the pick up time and didn’t check into it until I interrupted them making other orders that came after me. If there is not enough people to keep the place opened, close it down or at least the online order option so people’s expectation is fair. Wasting time and money is going to lose customers and reputation.

Waiting almost 30 minutes for an order. Clearly they forgot about me because a staff member came up to ask my name and then miraculously my food was ready the next second. Asked how long they've been sitting over there and was told it had just gotten finished. Open the box, felt the food it was clearly cold. I'll be contacting someone higher up in the company to give a chance to make this right. That's no reason a grown adult shoukd panic about making a mistake and lie to a customer.

I have given this location many, many chances. I kept going back hoping they would improve. This place has good food but the staff and organization is horrible. They never get my order right. The food always comes out with something missing or something it shouldn't have. I ask for no cheese-it comes out with cheese. I ask for avocado, it comes out with no avocado (even though they charged me). I order online and type NO CHEESE in all caps and when I get my food and it has cheese. The manager states "sorry we don't get the notes when the order comes through". What? Why even have the option then? I try to order on the app and the app gives me an error. I try to order online and it states "We can't complete your order at this time". So I finally resorted to calling them to order. I went to pick up an order yesterday and they didn't have the order! Not very apologetic either-they simply state "yes, we have issues with our call in orders. We can put the order in now". I say no. ONE HOUR LATER they call my cell phone and tell me my order was ready! I can't believe the incompetence of this location. I will never be back-it's just too frustrating to deal with them. The salad i ordered was the worse ever. The vegetables used were old and spoiled to the point they were brown plus the vegetables were warm and not cold. Common sense tells me the person that prepared that salad does not take pride in preparation of the salad. The silverware also had harden food stuck to it which tells me they do not take pride in putting out clean sanitized silverware which can be a liability to your restaurant restaurant. Even the corn in salad looked brown which tells me its been left out in the open air. Who ever the manager is on duty needs to be taken on to the office by the District or Regional Manager or Owner and place that individual on notice. If i get sick tonight i will be reporting your store to the City Health Inspector to Shut your restaurant down. There is no excuse for putting out a BAD PRODUCT especially if its warm and the vegetables are not looking fresh but brown and spoiled... next time i will demand that whoever prepared my salad that they eat it... i should be given a gift card for at the least two fresh salads... even the mushrooms looked old just like the rest of the salad once i went to stirring the salad around

I love this place (business), but today. The customer services and attitude of employee is very poor. Waited at the driver thru window for about 15 minutes, seeing the employee on the phone. Called location to see if they were open, and employee mentioned the time and then mention the time they closed. That's where i made the judgment to leave this location and think about not ever coming back to this place of pure customer service.

It was joke, i ordered food online and shortly after recieved an email saying that they had confirmed my order and that it would be ready in approximately 25 minutes. Nothing out of the ordinary, so i get there roughly 10 minutes after the time they had told me. Only to find that not only was it not ready but they hadnt even started making it yet. So I sat down and patiently waited for my food, and as time wore on and i still hadnt recieved my food i started to become a little frustrated. One of the employees said they would go check on it for me, and came back promtly saying it would be out shortly. But as you can imagine it didnt. Instead customers who had arrived there after me, recieved their food before me. (All i ordered was 2 sandwhiches) After sitting there for 40 minutes they finally brought out my food and to my disappointment all of it was cold, even though they were supposed to be hot subs. What a phenomenal first experience at another mediocre deli.

My husband ordered two meals and both were missing integral items. The French Dip sandwich was missing the dipping sauce. His grilled chicken salad did not have dressing and his fruit cup side was missing. The total was $30 for a dry sandwich and a salad with no dressing. He called and they ask him to come back and have his receipt "investigated." He returned the following day and no offer or suggestions to correct the situation were made. He filled out a survey requesting a call back. That was two weeks ago. So very disappointing. I guess it's back to Jason's Deli.

I ordered online at 5:15PM Friday. I was charged $26.11 for the order. When I got to the restaurant to pick up the order there was a paper sign on the window that said they closed at 5:00 PM due to staffing shortages. I finally got to talk to the manager who said he did not have the items to make my order. He said he would refund. Three days later and still no refund.

We stopped in for a family lunch, the woman taking our order was extremely sick, sneezing an coughing in our faces an just proceeding to giggle an say sorry, we then got our food which was beyond bad, my 5 year old left hungry as they only put literally FOUR bites worth of Mac an cheese in her order. Was just a gross a disrespectful experience. If you’re sick like that, don’t come to work

I love McAlister’s and I frequent at this location but I waited 44 min for my sandwiches and there was a whole line of online orders. The atmosphere was SUPER tense as everyone was waiting and frustrated with the young kids working the front. This location has gone downhill.

I Paid $43.00 on food and I got nothing... But B.S. NOW THEY DON'T HAVE BREAD BOWLS FOR YOUR SOUPS THEY DIDN'T HAVE NO POTATOES WHICH I SPENT $13 ON A POTATO AND I GOT NOTHING OUT OF IT RIDICULOUS SERVICE RIDICULOUS MANAGEMENT LAUGHING AND PATHETIC STOCK OF NEW BRAUNFELS... I WILL CALL CORPORATE OFFICE.... $43.00 FOR NOTHING.. A WASTE OF TIME AND A WASTE OF MY MONEY

I really do hate coming to this location but this is the only McAlisters in New Braunfels. I’m surprised this location has the rating that it does. It’s really a hit or miss. The quality of the food and service is dependent on the attitudes of its employees. I’ve waited 10 minutes at the window before an employee noticed me. Sometimes I’ve waited 20 minutes for an something I’ve ordered online. So I purposely come 5-10 min late. But either way I still have to wait 10 more minutes because of something? My last trip there I ordered a spud max to go. When I got home, I opened it and the potato was burned, black on the outside and brown mush on the inside. Sadly this is not my first time getting a potato like this.

New Braunfels location: Severs blamed long wait time on a new cook being in the kitchen so food took 40-45 minutes to get out. Server should have mention that we were going to wait that long. Tables were 70% dirty. Male server was standing around doing nothing. Could tell he didn't want to be there. Then he asked another server what to do and then walked to the restroom and stayed there for about 30 minutes. Tables still dirty so other female servers started to clean the tables and do their other duties. Finally the male server comes out from the restroom and just stands in front of the register holding a to go bag still doing nothing. Service station needed ice and tea and when one of the female servers ask him to fill and make tea. He claims he doesn't know how to do that. People asking for refunds and they can't do that. Where is the manger of this facility. Horrible for business.

Over 50 minute wait for a salad, two soups, and a sandwich is unacceptable for a pay-at-the-counter dining establishment. They refused to refund at the 25 minute wait mark. I understand about it being difficult to hire as of writing this review, but I won’t be back unless I have an afternoon to kill. If you see multiple un-bussed tables when you arrive, turn around and leave if you have somewhere to be.

Please hire a new manager asap. The place was absolutely filthy from the bathroom to the entry door windows, to the spoons, to booth seating. Also, my husband accidentally ate paper they left on the cheese slices they put in his sandwich 😂

This is the worst establishment west of the Mississippi. I showed up to an understaffed unhygienic location and simply requested two baked potatoes expecting them to be cooked within a reasonable time. I was wrong. I patiently sat for 1 hour and 30 minutes, for POTATOES. Once I finally got my meal I found it to be cold and flavorless. If the McAllisters deli in New Braunfels is an example of the rest of the chain then it deserves to be shut down. There sweet tea is pretty decent.

Our order was wrong for take home. Onions and blue cheese all over the salad and asked for none due to allergies. Salad was only half full in the container. Kids meal was just microwaved heated. Not worth the $50 we spent in there. Not to mention As we sat in the lobby food and black mold/dirt all over the floor near corners of booths which was gross. Will not be back at all.

Don’t order through McAlister’s online. I went through McAlister’s website and ordered delivery. They automatically contract the delivery out to Uber. Our order was delivered with an item missing. Called the store and they won’t offer a refund of missing item because “they don’t deliver” (except they do, it’s an option on McAlister’s website. They choose to contract through Uber). There is no option to contact Uber about the missing items because I placed the order through McAlister’s online, not through Uber.

Tiny portions, not even 1/3 of the potato salad was filled up (see photo). Asked one of the workers nicely to correct and they wouldn't, said that they've been 'cracking down' on portions. Save your money and go somewhere that cares about your patronage, not just the margin off your meal. Asked for refund and they did give that back.
