OMFG!!! What a meal I had here. I went with my mother while we were in New York. I’m not gonna lie when we first got there I thought it was closed, because the from the outside it looked deserted. However we went through the doors and we saw how packed it was but also how amazing this meal was going to be. Immediately the nice receptionist took me and my mother’s coats and we sat down at our table. The service was absolutely flawless. They guided us to order almost a perfect dinner. When I wanted to get a glass of wine, they were so good at guiding me to what I should get (sadly forgot the wine that I got but it was great). We ordered the artichoke soup, the pan seared cauliflower, the beef wontons, and the gnocchi for our appetizers. (My favourite was the soup some of the best soup I have ever had but it was all fantastic) then the main event arrived we ordered a fillet mignon it came with au poivre sauce, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach and it was probably the most tender, juicy, perfectly medium rare, and most flavourful steak I ever had with my life. This dessert that we had was unbelievable. I’m personally not a sweet guy but this was not to sweet and had so much good rich delicious flavour (also the parve ice cream was amazing didn’t taste parve at all). All kosher steakhouses should be looking at this place and aspire to be just a fraction of how good this place is. From the food, service and atmosphere it’s truely one of a kind and I don’t know how kosher restaurants can get better then this

What an experience! Came here for a work dinner, the food was amazing. I had the lamb riblets, among other things. The service was great and the manager was friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Inventive and flavorful cocktails, perfectly cooked steak - delicious, duck risotto was outstanding , desserts very special, ravioli also excellent! Very unique and inventive place, decor and ambience were appreciated as well. Lots more appetizers not pictured but these were our favorites.

The Barnea Bistro delivers exactly what its reputation suggests. The whole experience felt seamless. Workers make the atmosphere truly inviting. These meals showcase flawless preparation. I feel fortunate this restaurant is nearby.

Solid spot, one of the top kosher steakhouses in Manhattan. We paid about $160 a person for tons of apps, some drinks and a bunch of steaks. Love the smokey old fashioned. Wish the fried chicken appetizer was still on the menu! The lamb riblets and Rissoto were my favorite.

From start to finish they are amazing! Service was something like we never experienced before. Our table was designated and waiting for us even though we arrived late. The staff is cheerful and helpful and were all well prepared/professional throughout. Food was delicious and flavorful and meat was cooked to perfection, cocktails were amazing too! Their desserts are all made from scratch and u can tell by how good they taste. Huge difference.. Seating wasnt clustered like the rest of nyc restaurants, and it wasnt dark to the point where u cant see your food like many restaurants. 5 stars!!!

We had a wonderful meal !!! So delicious with nice and unique flavor profiles and portion sizes were generous. Chris our server was very knowledgeable and didn't lead us astray, each choice was exquisite in its own right. Highly recommend the duck breast and the ravioli special, i hope it becomes a regular menu item.

I came to the restaurant on a business trip. I was alone so I sat in the bar at a beautiful table and my first thought would be that my service would not be good but the service was outstanding. I ordered the fish of the day which was red snapper. It came hot and just with the right amounts of spices to make it delicious. It also came with beets on a whipped potato. And with some very delicious brussel sprouts. It was a lively crowd and if you're in New York and want to have a great time I would come here. I would definitely give it five plus Stars

So many items were incredible: Short Rib Gnocchi, Artichokes, 16oz steak, butcher surprise, chicken, tuna tartar with caviar, pea soup, smokey drink, mezcal drink, champagne drink, carrot cake. Was all so good. Yes, it's pricey but it's top class dining in Midtown NYC and unparalleled.

This restaurant serves up some of the best kosher food I've ever tasted, and I'm still dreaming about the incredible flavors. One standout dish is the lamb riblets - the meat is so tender and flavorful that it practically melts in your mouth. The gnocchi and papatas are also incredibly delicious and perfectly cooked. Each bite is like a party in your mouth! Don’t even get me started with the vegetables—they make vegetables addicting, and their meats are UNREAL! I have to admit, I wish they had the pavlova from Bonito, but I’d crush that Carrot Cake any day (guys it’s the best IMO). And speaking of amazing drinks, the shooting star is a must-try - it's absolutely delicious! Overall, Barnea Bistro is an absolute gem. The food is top-notch, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is upscale and inviting. It’s probably the best designed Kosher restaurant. I can't recommend this place enough - if you're a foodie or just looking for an incredible meal, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Definitely worth the 90$ or whatever it was. The dessert courss blew us all away.. we came 2 nights in a row, the second night just for the dessert 😆 highly recommend their 'la noissete' from the dessert menu.. on a final note, very pretty restaurant but dont go expecting to find something cheap on the menu. Would definitely go again without hesitation.

Went with my husband to Barnea Bistro in NYC tonight. All I can say is OH EM GEE. It was SO SO good! The Brussel sprouts and eggplant were both beyond. Cooked to perfection and the flavors were insane. Crispy dumplings were great, and the sweet potato gnocchi were legit pillows. Oh and don’t even get me started with the desserts. Probably the best we’ve gotten in a while. I got the salted caramel mousse and my husband got the key lime pie, and we both said probably top 3 ever. Still thinking about that salted caramel mousse 🧐. Also, the service was so incredibly fast. The staff were all so kind and patient. Overall a lovely and delicious experience. Wow, what a wonderful experience, we booked for 8:45, and when we arrived in Manhattan, we got there an hour early. we decided to try our luck, and they had us seated within 2 minutes. The atmosphere was amazing and delicious food with outstanding drinks. Fantastic food and service!! We were there with kids celebrating our son's birthday. Even before we arrived service was impeccable. When we got a call to confirm our reservation the hostess asked for details on allergies (I mentioned it on the online reservation form). When we arrived a bit early we were seated right away. Our waiter already knew about the allergies and was super helpful as we asked a million questions about every dish on the menu. Our orders came out super fast and every dish we ordered was delicious. I was able to snap a few pictures of the first few dishes that came out but we were so excited about the food that we totally forgot to take pictures. Oh and the drinks were delicious as well! This is one of the very few kosher establishments where service is on such level. We really enjoyed this experience and look forward to returning many times!

Good food Simple but elegant interieur The onion soup is very simple and tasty, not too salty as it can easily be the case. The fish was a halibut, perfectly fresh and cooked to perfection, retaining its moisture. The service is unintrusive and pleasant. A good place for a quieter and distinguished lunch.

Barnea is a high class dining experience where the food quality and service is of the highest caliber. With that said, while some dishes were truly delightful others didn't stand out from the competition to be truly exceptional. We started off with the polenta fries (which my wife really liked and said she never had anything like it), patatas bravas, Brussel sprouts and the crispy artichoke and charred hearts of palm. Of those four dishes, the last two were truly amazing with the Brussel Sprout dish mesmerizing our senses. The cocktails were delicious - which we had with our three mains which included: the Chateau Steak - a lean cut which looked like a filet mignon; the Black Truffle Ravioli - which had real truffle shavings on top of the ravioli and the sauce; and the Duck Confit Rissoto which my favorite dish by far. For desert, we tried the fruit tarrine and cannolies - both delicious. All in all a great experience will probably head back sometime in the future.

Service was exceptional, food not so much. Salad was over-dressed, duck was over-salted, but the attentiveness and professionalism of Sergio and his team saved the day.

Very good food and interesting tastes, ceviche wasn’t great, carpaccio was delish! Can’t go wrong with any of the steaks. Also seared ducks were amazing

Beautiful restaurant and attentive staff. For the appetizer we split the King Salmon Crudo and Fish Tacos which were both delicious. The cocktails all seemed a bit sweet for our taste so the bartender made us a perfect margarita. The mains were underwhelming the chicken was good but the Glazed Beef Short Ribs, though cooked nicely seemed to be reheated and the glaze was very salty. The dessert was top notch, we had the Summer Strawberry Tart which surprisingly had a lot of strawberries 😀. One note it’s pretty loud and seating is pretty cramped.

The ingredients and dishes were good, although they did not particularly stand out to me. I felt that the prices were somewhat high in relation to the flavors and overall experience. The service was acceptable. It is a restaurant that primarily caters to the Jewish community, and seating is organized accordingly. This is not a negative point, just something worth noting for future visitors.

The food is very good, but the overall experience was mixed. The restaurant is loud, tables are extremely close together, and service was quite slow. While they were clearly very busy, it felt understaffed for a place with such a polished, upscale presentation. Portions were small for the price, so the value didn’t quite match expectations. As one of the only kosher fine-dining restaurants in the area, I hope they continue to refine the experience. They may be best fitted for private events or group dining. I would not recommend going here for a date.

Food was generally decent. One server was polite. The other was rude and pushy, trying to get us to order more. He seemed like a busser not a server, as he was not the one who served us. So not sure why he was all up in our faces about our apparent lack of splurge. Will not return.

I was so looking forward to this meal. I had a great meal in February and wanted to share the experience with my spouse. The February meal was calm, flavorful and for lack of a better word, adult. This meal was loud (large groups, lots of happy birthday songs, pulsing music), not feeling serene or adult. The main course was far too salty.
