Great atmosphere and a staff that truly cares about your experience. Rob, the bar manager, goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is safe and having a great time. I couldn’t speak more highly of this place. It’s perfect for events and large groups. Good people, great staff, and an experience you won’t regret.
I went here in 1991. I loved it. moved from Manhattan in 1992. had many great times here.
I use to go to the original Bleecker Bar and it closed a few years ago. I was disappointed because it was a great place. The new Bleecker Bar is right across the street from my barber (NOHO Hair Salon). Hair cut and a Guinness. The bartenders and staff are awesome.
Adam, Ben, Ski, Christian... probably the best bartenders in NY. I've spent hours there... in conversation with these guys, getting served by them, discussing music and toilet habits. They are terrific. And there's a nice selection of tap beers. It's a big space, but on Friday and Saturday nights you'll have to wait in line. (I go on Sundays and Tuesdays) Tacos are nice. And the wings are good, though the food is nothing special... but the ambience is special. I found the bouncers to be friendly, helpful, and nice and jokey. There's pool and darts in the back. Sometimes it gets a little jock-ish, but it is a sports bar, so waddaya expect? Usually the customers are as friendly as the bartenders. It's a great place to hang out.
We loved it! My dad who came in to visit felt it was a great place to wind down after walking around all morning. Plus, the waitresses were very friendly!
Only positive things to say about Bleecker Street Bar. Great open space to go with friends or meet people, but the staff might be the most notable part. Rob might be one of the kindest managers I have ever met, going out of his way to make sure patrons are safe, happy, and taken care of. Another shoutout to Sal, a bouncer who will look after the safety of the others with no hesitation. Bartenders are attentive and overall vibe is great. Might have found a new favorite NYC bar!
Just a great bar all around great for every scenario. Will say you need to figure out what time works best for you. After 8 pm (I find) the bar does get packed with young adults so seats are hard to find. In the afternoon, there is usually plenty of seats at the bar.
We had a company happy hour from 4-7 pm on a Wednesday and the team was so helpful, attentive and friendly. Everyone had a blast and the space couldn't have been more perfect for our group of 100+. Highly recommend for a small/midsize company party on a weekday.
I had great experience visiting this bar. Great location ,amazing staff, especially bouncers at the front, they were very polite. Definitely recommend this place and will come back.
Dexter was the absolute best security ever. I think he saved my life. He made my experience at Bleecker the best night ever. I thoroughly enjoyed the Knicks versus Pacers game just because of him. He was so kind and all of the bartenders made such great drinks. Highly recommend coming here again!!!
I had one of the best experiences at Bleecker Street Bar last weekend. I went for the Duke/Houston final four game and from the very beginning, the staff were so kind and fun. Everyone that I interacted with, from the bouncers and bartenders to the bathroom attendant, were some of the loveliest people I have ever interacted with in the city. I have lived in NYC for almost 3 years and have never experienced this consistent level of service from every single employee of an establishment. I recognized how rare this was and told one of the bartenders as I was buying another drink, and he gave me and my two friends free shots of our choice, just for telling him what a great experience I was having. 10/10 would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun night out!!
I had an amazing experience last Friday, thanks to Roxy! She took great care of me and my friends while we were watching the game. The drinks were also excellent. I'll definitely be back!
I am ashamed to admit it, but the only reason I visited this establishment is because I was on a quest to find a restroom….and Bleecker Street Bar had a sign that said restrooms were available…but to customers only. So in order to acquire what I most desperately needed, a restroom, I decided to assert myself as a customer. Solid food.
Large beers at a very convenient price for the happy hour. The place was crowded and very loud, good service and a nice experience overall.
I didn't try the food so I can't rate it. This is a huge bar. It has several pool tables and dart boards. The decor is interesting. It has what looks like the entrance to a train station. The happy hour is very good. My only complaint is that if you pay cash, they don't want to give you a receipt. I don't know when establishments will realize that receipts have to be given, by law. This is a good bar for groups but it's also good for solo guests. I might go back to try the food and play some pool. By the way their Noho Margarita is excellent and they have Southern Tier Pumpkin.
Bleecker street bar is a Classic sports bar plus billiards and good bar food burgers and tacos . Perfect location great happy hours ideal for sports games and soccer . Near NYU and soho . Very affordable casual atmosphere good service open lunch and diner highly recommended by PascalPicks ***
My big homie was in town the Saturday night before St Paddys day and ordered us to meet him at Bleecker Street Bar. I'd never been and really didn't want to go out, but when the big homie is in town, you gotta dig deep. My fellow lil bro and I arrived and much to our chagrin, we were met with a pretty long line. After waiting in the cold for a few minutes, big homie comes out from the inside and daps the bouncer up and gives us a confused look while waving us in. That's why he the big homie! Big homie got me a negroni, and to be honest, it wasn't great...they were kinda light on the gin & campari... It came with one of those tiny little straws too... every time a drink comes with a straw all I can think about is Crazy Stupid Love when Ryan Gosling's character tells Steve Carrells "Rob, it’s like you’re sucking on a tiny shvantz" ahahahhaa. That scene single handedly stopped me drinking from straws. Well I am drinking this iced coffee from a straw rn, but that's neither here nor there. I realize this is more of a beer oriented establishment as it's more of a sports bar vibe, so that's lowkey on me. Big homie got one of the draft beers here and loved it. I shoulda just got a beer, but it just fills me up so quick, Idk. Prob shoulda just went tequila soda. Anyways, the crowd in here was great and it's a big open space, which is hard to come by in NYC. The big homie was moving in here like a prime Kevin Samuels, crazy to watch. I don't condone that behavior though, I got a girl! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews
They first asked for an ID, so I showed my national ID. Then, despite having allowed people before me—who were also non-citizens—to enter with just their IDs, they insisted that I also show a photo of my passport. I complied, but after that they said they needed to take a photo of my ID as well. When I asked why, they became extremely rude. The whole interaction felt like racial profiling, and they made the process unnecessarily difficult even though I had already shown both my ID and a picture of my passport.
Chose to leave based upon the bouncers at the door at 3pm on a Sat. No line at all, they are watching videos on the phones, yet bark when we walked straight towards the door instead of walking down the block a bit to follow their magic queue ropes. No thank you. I understand crowd control, but with no one there?
Tried to rescue a friend who was not safe-- was yelled at, removed from the line, and told "You will never get into this bar" for even approaching her. My friend was left alone, I left crying. I hope you feel good about ruining at least two people's nights. Update from an hour later: friend has been texting about how she is scared. Random people on the street came up to me and told me I did not deserve to be treated how I was and that the bar wasn't worth it. As a NYC local, I usually recommend this bar to others. Removed from my list and will never recommend again.
