Intelligent Coffee is one of our favorite brands and we have ordered as routine with friends for a while, so we were so excited they opened up their location in NYC. It is located on the 1st floor of The High-line Hotel. The decor indoor is classy & elegant and the patio is cozy, which is great for Instagram photos. They serve pastries from Balthazar, which is also our favorite so it’s definitely a perfect spot for breakfast or afternoon tea.

This spot is a true masterpiece. I’ve had Intelligentsia coffee before in other cities namely Chicago, so I was excited to try their one and only New York location at the High Line Hotel. This location truly delivers on both the coffee and the ambiance. They have two cafes at the hotel technically, one is outside in the double decker bus for quick to go orders and the second is inside the building in the lobby for full barista service. Both options are stunning and give off the same sophisticated vibes as the hotel itself. Intelligentsia coffee is always delicious and this location is no different. The drip coffee was smooth and flavorful. The staff were friendly and moved through the line quickly. Overall very impressed with this location even if it is out of the way on the west side.

What a place. Intelligentsia is now my new favorite cafe. Located inside The Highline Hotel, this cafe knows what it’s doing. Friendly staff like all their reviews seem to have shared. And the coffee?? SO GOOD. Angie, one of the baristas, recommended the Avena Latte for me whose usual is a matcha or vanilla latte always with oat milk. The syrup is made in-house and the cayenne pepper sprinkled on top is perfect. Thank you for the best rec, Angie! 25 years in the business and Intelligentsia continues to devote themselves to thoughtful and tasteful coffee. The customers are diverse and all look happy to be here. Some are alone, some with a friend, and some with children. But all with a confident choice of intelligentsia on this sunny 70 degree Sunday afternoon. And yes, plenty of seating.

This cafe is located inside the Highline Hotel which is a historic landmark as it was previously a seminary from the 1800s. I had a delicious cappuccino and a lovely flakey pastry here. Came here on two separate occasions and each time was great. Sat out back on the patio behind the hotel lobby on a warm day. Friendly barista. . I struck up a conversation with a couple of people visiting NY . The photo is of a plaque on the wall in the hotel lobby. There’s some cool artwork also there by a local artist, Ingo Swann.

Such a cool location for some good quality coffee. Super comfortable and very friendly staff. They had sofa/coffee table area to sit inside or a courtyard yard area but we chose to enjoy the coffee with a walk on the High Line elevated park built on a historic freight rail line. Super cool views.

Great cup of coffee in a beautiful location. We bought coffee and a cappuccino. They were really good. Admittedly, it’s the location that gets your attention. You can sit in the front, inside or in the back courtyard. Usually, the front is full and the inside is too small. The courtyard is the best and it’s very quaint.

It’s a special setting in the High Line Hotel. Come and sit in the lobby-style bar set up. The coffee is good, serving up a 7.8 Cortado. The flavour is good and the bitterness is held just about at bay.

Delicious coffee! nice and strong espresso. The views in the front and back are great. Nice place to sit and chat & maybe do some work. They have pastries they must be good because they sell out :) get em while they’re hot. People that work there have great customer service. Friendly, amiable and polite. Only Complaint is that their bathroom on was pretty gross. it needs better ventilation or matches.

Beautiful location with a small yard outside. On a beautiful day it’s hard to find an empty spot outside. Inside we especially like the old typewriters which you can actually use. The coffee itself is okay but not great. If you visit the High Line a short stop here is highly recommend.

Being served espresso “for here” should never manifest itself in the form of a “to go” water cup. There were dozens of cups to serve an espresso but the workers are lazy and rather not clean another mug. Perhaps they are simply ignorant to the difference in taste a plastic cup yields versus a glazed ceramic mug.

UPDATE 9.11.21: ordered a Cold Brew and told it was Iced Coffee after I paid for it. It’s a mix of hot brew, turned cold + concentrate. The acidity profile of hot brew doesn’t do well for my body - I wish they told me before paying & receiving my drink. Cold Brew is good, not as bitter as I’d prefer. Large size & No straw cups. Vibes are great. Cool “rooftop” bus seats. ~20 tables. Insanely fast WiFi.
