My friends and I had a great experience here. The service was really good, friendly and attentive. I love the Balearic sunset cocktail and the food was amazing, I highly recommend the eggplant, one of the best things I tried this year so far. Also, the ambient is really nice, with live music on the background but not too loud, so you can still enjoy the conversation with your friends. Will be back for sure.

It was magnificente. We showed up with a reservation and they offered to sit outside which we had no problem with. That lasted less then a minute when they gave us a great corner table. Where we all sat comfortably and shared all our plates. They have a great wine selection. A place to not think twice in going.

My seven year old daughter and I had dinner here after we saw a show on Broadway. The staff is amazing from the moment we walked in the door. They made a special kid friendly mocktail for Sophia and she was thrilled with it. The croquets were perfectly crunchy and delicious. The empanadas were amazing and seasoned with a melody of flavor. The star of our dining experience was the sea bass. My daughter is a big fan of salmon but she now has a new favorite fish. Sophia ate three-quarters of the bass. Highly recommend a regular date night or dad and daughter night.

Amazing food! The dinner was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! We had few appetizers and main courses and they did not miss! My favorite was the salmon with baked potatoes and beef skewers. The desserts were also 10/10! For the drinks we ordered their signature ones and the mixologist did a great job, I loved the drinks so much! Nothing to say not perfect. All experience was. Catalina was very on the point, very good server, short conversation but cool suggestion. Anel as well, came in the right time to check the table situation and was never too much. Working in the business I really see the details as the most important thing and the food was absolutely great, really Spanish, very good sangria. I don't even talk about the extra chocolate flan make all unique. And the place... wow. the main room has a sky view and as first week of September the weather is perfect.

As first experience, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating even I was running late to the reservation. Food was wonderful, very fresh and delicious. I love the soup that they had for the day, perfect for a summer in NYC for sure. I love the arugula salad, it was crunchy and tasty, the bruschetta was very fresh as well you can taste all the flavors and see how thoughtful they have been crafting their drinks and dishes. I love the fact that staff even stayed a bit later for us, I don't recommend doing this but it meant the world to me that they did not rush us out. I love the zetas, and the cauliflower, I tried 3 cocktails and they were all phenomenal. I am from the industry and seeing this quality of products makes me really happy to choose this path. Thanks again for taking home for a few hours. I look forward to trying more dishes next time and cocktails too.

We walked up to some unsuspecting store front but after being walked down a long hallway We got sat outside in a beautiful open roof room. Got the brave potatoes with lumpfish caviar. Was outstanding. Got the octopus, was amazing as well. The Iberian ham was eh kind of tasteless but the quality was up there I think I might just not care for Iberian ham. The cocktails were excellent. Got the seafood rice which was on point. The service was very good as well the back waiter was on the ball and my captain was very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu items. The cheese cake was delicious and warm. The only negative things I could mention was some of the plating was a little lazy, sauce on the rims water spots on the plates that type of thing hardly worth mentioning. But my table was wobbly which was really annoying. However, I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant!

Good choice for tapas in Chelsea. A very intimate ambience, great for date nights. The food was interesting, tasted good but a little too much olive oil in every dish. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but it definitely stood out for me. The place is a little on the expensive side. The service was friendly and warm.

For a friend's birthday, Salinas was chosen as our tapas spot in NYC from several options I'd gathered. My first frustration began with their reservation system for parties of five or more. It's annoying to fill out a PDF with credit card info, billing details, and signatures, when a standard reservation platform with a linked credit card would be so much simpler. Moreover, they don't allow outside birthday cakes due to health concerns, which is common. However, they offered a $60 chocolate cake from their kitchen but wouldn't provide a lettering service nor extend our 1.5-hour time limit even if we ordered it. It almost felt like they actively discouraged ordering a cake. The email exchanges leading up to our visit also had a noticeable attitude, which left a bad taste from the get-go. Upon arrival, the host informed us that all party members had to be present before we could be seated. I still don't fully understand this policy, especially since we were ready to order immediately, but I acknowledge it's common in many NYC restaurants. Despite this policy, the host herself was friendly and great. Once everyone arrived, we were promptly led to our tables. The hallway leading to our area was dim and narrow, seeming ideal for dates. We were led to a backyard seating area, and entering it was a completely different experience. Teal velvet furniture juxtaposed against deep-colored walls with plant patterns, alongside lighter wood, abundant plants, and a windowed ceiling that brought in plenty of sun, created a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The cleverly placed mirrors on the walls made the environment feel much larger than its actual size. We ordered many dishes. The Berenjena was deliciously nutty, the Croquetas were buttery and crispy, and the Rossejat Rápida was interestingly good and earthy. The Arroz Vasco and Bravas Marinas were definitely our favorites. On the other hand, the Crudo was a bit too tart for my liking (though many in my group enjoyed it), the Morcilla de la Huerta was just 'meh,' and the Pan Tumaca was not good at all; the bottom of the bread was burnt, leaving only a bitter aftertaste. We also never received the Pulpo we ordered, which was a letdown, though we were quite full by that point. The servers were all nice and kind, which was a pleasant surprise given the prior email interactions. Because of the host and the servers, I’m adding a star on the service section. The bathroom was clean, and I appreciated its dim lighting, as it meant you didn't see unnecessary details. While the food was okay and the atmosphere was great, I will probably not return. There are likely other tapas restaurants that would have more accommodating policies, smoother reservation systems, and employees that don’t give attitude on emails.

Went for an anniversary dinner. Arrived 1 min late due to subway delays and they gave away our table. Wouldn’t have been so frustrating until they were so disrespectful and even told us to refer to their “rest policy”. Bad customer service and poor management. We then left to a brilliant Italian restaurant called Pastai. Go there instead

We had a 7pm reservation tonight to celebrate a special milestone and called at 7:05 to let the restaurant know we were running 10 minutes late, and they acknowledged it and said okay. We arrived at 7:11pm (only one minute past that window) and were told our reserved garden room table had already been given away because the computer released it. This was extremely upsetting, especially since we called ahead to ask them to hold the table and there was no one waiting when we walked in. We ended up leaving upset and scrambling to find another place last minute, which really put a damper on our celebration. We won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant, and I truly hope the owners/management take note and ask their hostess to prioritize customer care instead of relying so strictly on a computer system.

This was actually the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had. I don’t know how it’s possible they have 4.7 stars. I’m utterly confused. We got 4 tapas to share and the portions were SO teensy tiny, you wouldn’t even be able to feed a rat with those portions. One of the tapas was literally two tiny pieces of anchovies laid on a giant plate (photographed below). And that was like $20????? Again, I’m flabbergasted. The taste was not even good, I know anchovies are salty but the rest of the dish (whatever little of it there was) did NOTHING to balance out the saltiness of the anchovy. I guess they expect us to feel full from the thought of food. Because the food was no where to be found. One other dish we had was literally cubed potato fries topped with a huge pile of spicy mayo (literally it was just spicy mayo) and a dollop of caviar. Needless to say, the taste was extremely disappointing and forgettable. The smoked salmon dish had way too much extra added oil. The croquettes were the best out of these dishes but again, it was very plain and still just disappointing. Service was acceptable, they refilled our waters which were often empty because of how overly salty everything was. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. It’s a dimly lit and small cozy restaurant. It does feel a lot more like a hidden speakeasy than a restaurant. So disappointing. We were considering a main after our tapas but honestly decided to just call it a day.
