Was Kunden über Tappo sagen
Tappo is loved for its crispy, thin-crust pizza with fresh ingredients and friendly service. The Parma pizza and salads are highly recommended. Some found the service slow during busy times and some dishes just 'okay'.

The pizza was SO good, the salad was fresh, the pasta and calamari were great too! Don’t forget the cheesecake! The service was friendly, welcoming and we walked right in as we went early but it filled up fast. We watched them accommodate a large group of 14 along with our little group of 2.
Great thin slice pizza. I do like pineapple and they have a great choice for it.
This place has my favorite pizza and the service is always excellent. Salads and apps also great!
Solid and consistently good food, and the staff are beyond kind and very attentive. Lovely for a family birthday! Burrata is some of the nicest I’ve had, and don’t miss the apple & cheddar salad to accompany your pizza! So tasty.
We have been going to Tappo in their old location for a decade. Great thin crust pizza, the salsiccia dolce is a personal favorite. Check out the new spot - same great pizza in a new modern space!
Newly moved from 24th street, this location is more spacious and better. This is our family favorite. Friendly staff. Everything here is simple and good. The pizza, even plain, is excellent, but we get the roasted pepper and caramelized onions or the jalapeno and crumbly sausage. The salads are all good but the cheddar and apple and the kale and manchego need to be tried. The meatballs are nice too. They've got some simple, good, wines and the on-tap IPA is great. Only ding (and this was true at the old location) is that it's a big open space with nothing to block the sound which, depending on the crowd, can get loud. This, along with the other 'O' locations (Gruppo, Spunto, etc) in this downtown restaurant group, is just great food.
One of the best pizzas we have ever had. The gluten free pizza was really great unlike other places where it does not taste good at all.
Brought my niece for pizza. Loved the Marguerite pizza!! You MUST try the bread pudding absolutely delicious!!!!!
Great pizza spot! They have multiple sizes of pizza if you’re alone! They are a good size and it’s a perfect amount. Beer is decently priced, appetizers were a little pricey but they looked really good. Highly suggest if you like thing crust, crunchy dough on your Za.
This was a great spot that was family friendly (has changing table in bathroom, high chairs etc.) while still feeling elevated and adult. I loved the pizza and how crispy it was.
This location is new to our neighborhood. The menu is fantastic for salads with good options for toppers. The salads were delicious with very tasty dressings. Portions are very generous for excellent value. The thin crust mushroom pizza was wonderful. The service was friendly and quick- we ordered to go. I am recommending this place to everyone!
Exceptional thin crust pizza. Truly one of the best I’ve had in my life. You can tell they use real, fresh ingredients and prepare everything with love. The Margherita/Classica pizza was amazing. I think it’s closer to Italian pizza than New York style, so just consider that. The only thing was the Caesar salad was disappointing, but the Arancini was amazing. Just an overall great place for thin crust pizza. Not too expensive either: $25 for a large Margherita and it’s well worth it.
So so so delicious the reviews weren’t kidding when they said it was a thin pizza! Delicious one thing it was missing was ranch - how you gonna have a pizza place with no ranch!
This place is fire! We walked by and saw the place was empty so we decided to give it a chance. Omg! Soooo delicious! We started off with a Cesar salad and some spicy wings. They didn’t have ranch, they had homemade blue cheese and it was actually pretty bomb. Super fresh. I ordered a chipotle chicken pizza and did a large, glad I did because I ate the other half at home lol. Highly recommend coming. The staff is so sweet and attentive. Clean restaurant too.
I used to go to the old Tappo location with friends, family, and coworkers quite often. A change of office scenery has taken us away for a bit, but the new location is much more spacious than the old one, but the food is still just as good. We had take out tonight, but the pizza never disappoints!
Got takeout, gluten free personal pie (plain cheese with regular marinara), was hands down best GF pizza i’ve had ever. I shared the pie with someone who was GF, so i can’t wait to try their regular cheese. Super thin crust, perfect cook, definitely worth the wait!
Absolutely! Here's a glowing review for Tappo NYC Thin Crust Pizza: --- ### A Symphony of Flavor and Hospitality at Tappo NYC Thin Crust Pizza In the heart of Manhattan's vibrant Flatiron District lies a gem that redefines the quintessential New York pizza experience - Tappo. A part of the legendary NYC Thin Crust Pizza family since 2010, it harmoniously marries the traditions of Italian pizza craftsmanship with the bustling energy of New York City. My colleague and I had the pleasure of escaping the city's hustle and bustle for a lunch rendezvous at Tappo, and what unfolded was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped in, we were embraced by the warm and authentic hospitality of the staff, making us feel not just as customers, but as part of a community. The ambience at Tappo is versatile and inviting, effortlessly serving as a charming backdrop for a romantic date night, while also buzzing with the jovial energy suitable for a grand pizza party. Its cozy yet vibrant environment beckoned us to unwind and enjoy each other's company, lending to a lunch hour that felt both relaxed and invigorating. And then came the pièce de résistance – the pizza. A thin crust that holds the promise of New York's pizza heritage, delicately carrying fresh ingredients that burst with flavor in each bite. The flexibility in the menu allowed us to tailor our meal to suit our preferences perfectly, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident from the very first bite. As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but notice the camaraderie and laughter echoing from other tables, further cementing the fact that Tappo is not just a restaurant, but a rendezvous of joy, laughter, and sublime culinary experiences. If you are looking for a haven where great food meets even greater vibes, Tappo NYC Thin Crust Pizza is your go-to destination. Come for the pizza, stay for the memories, and leave with a longing to return. I highly recommend venturing to Tappo for an experience that transcends mere dining. You won't just be enjoying a meal; you'll be partaking in a rich and flavorful tradition that beckons to be revisited, time and time again.
We came here for a late lunch on July 4th. The staff was so friendly! I ordered a personal pizza to share with my sister along with a salad. Everything tasted so good!! I ordered an iced tea, an since it was unsweet tea, he even provided us a jar of simple syrup if we needed it. So nice!
Went with my family about a year ago. Love the pizza and chain. I’ve been to 4 of the 5/6 locations. All great pizza.
I went here with 3 girlfriends and sat inside. Amazing pasta and atmosphere. The service was amazing, the staff was incredibly attentive and generous. The salad that came with the eggplant parm was delicious and the white wine was amazing. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go again. A huge thank you to our waiter who worried about our friend who wasn’t feeling well and was incredibly generous.
Loved my Gluten free pizza. It was DELISH! I also think it's excellent that the ingredients of the GF crust are included on the menu. Given all of the food allergies that people have, it's the best practice! Also had the beet/arugula/goat cheese saled (without the pistachios) and it was SO GOOD!! I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in NYC.
First time here and it was great. Ceasar salad, meatballs and chicken parm. Two glasses of red wine. $84. Good food - service and value.
It was amazing thin pizza was decent but their sandwiches were top notch.. took advantage pf lunch special and was worth it.
Delicious! I loved their cocktails, pizza, and lasagna. I also tried the apple crostini with hot honey and the crispy shrimp. Everything was exquisite. Highly recommended!
Honestly i was not in the mood for pizza in the city. But let me tell you this place hit the spot. The salads were phenomenal. We had the arugula with beets and goat cheese. The meatballs were very good, home made foccia was delicious. Pizzas were all great. We loved all the personal pizzas we had. Highly recommend 👌
Tappo carves out a pretty great niche of thin crispy pies. The Large Parma exceeded my expectations in every way! The apple slices go surprisingly well with the sweet and perfectly cooked bacon, and slice is supported by a great crispy dough and crust that make this a very fun creation. Service was very nice and lots of space.
We tried Tappo NYC Thin Crust at the recommendation of a friend. The pizza had a wonderfully crunchy base, and we loved the half roasted garlic and half Salsiccia Dolce—sweet Italian sausage, caramelized onions, and fresh basil were a perfect combo. The service was quick and friendly, which was great since we were in a rush to catch a show. Highly recommend!
A slice of Italy at this charming restaurant, where the atmosphere is as comforting as the food. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. With prices that won't break the bank, the menu offers in a variety of Italian favorites. The music is thoughtfully chosen to enhance the relaxing environment, making it easy to unwind.
What makes???? What makes NY Pizza so awesome?? It's about NY thin crust. Forget the deep dish Chicago for a while. Indulge in the ingredients. The freshness. The savory meets and fresh mozzarella. Tappo is a well designed place. Art deco style. Service is incredible. This is one of my best recommendations. Yo!
We arrived without a booking and were kindly fitted in to a table near the door even though they were very busy! I had the personal ‘el greco’ pizza which was plenty for me. The sharing pizzas were bigger than any pizzas I’ve ever seen. Lovely thin based pizza, very tasty. Nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely spot for food that isn’t a ridiculous price like a lot of NYC. Families were dining and the children were having fun and happy. Would recommend for a no fuss tasty pizza experience at a reasonable cost.
My friend brought me here as it is his favorite pizza place. We ordered the Classico Margherita & the Giardino. I really like the sauce on the pizza. The pizzas here are truly thin crust(thinner that I thought they would be). Toppings were fresh. We also ordered cocktails which included Margarita & Basil Lemoncello. Both drinks were excellent. I would've preferred more alcohol. Service was excellent. I would only recommend this place for people that truly enjoy thin crust pizza.
Delicious pizza, lovely atmosphere, even though they were busy they were able to find me and my mum a table. The staff were very pleasant, however weren’t super talkative. No small talk which is absolutely fine, but didn’t go above and beyond. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, my only negative is that the personal pizzas are very small especially for the price. Quite expensive for the size! All in all I would highly recommend, and would definitely return in the future.
Very good thin crust pizza, decent prices for the location. The broccoli florets on the pie seemed a little oversized and the crust wasn't the best I've had (a little dry on the outside, not like my favorite coal fired thin crust) but I would come back here.
Went to have a sit down pizza experience. Service took a little longer than expected when the place was near empty. Had to get up and ask staff for something as our server didn’t check in after the food was delivered. With a million and one pizza places in New York, this isn’t one I’d be going back to. Arancini appetizer was delicious and did have a really fun Shirley Temple to drink.
After reading other reviews we chose to stick to pizza - and it did not disappoint! Hot and fresh Super thin and crispy crust Excellent flavor Large pepperoni and mushroom thing crust Calamari Caesar Salad (3) bottled root beer Service was a little slower than expected considering it was not crowded at all
Visited here by chance for weekend lunch while looking for a place nearby. We arrived right after opening, so it wasn’t crowded. The space is large with plenty of seating and has a vintage vibe. We ordered single-size pizzas-the Hawaiian and the mushroom. Both tasted good, but considering the price, I expected them to be a bit bigger; they felt a little small for what you pay(It was total almost $50 included tips for two single pizza). Personally, I thought the Hawaiian pizza was especially delicious and would recommend it from the menu!
Everything I had was really good, I would definitely be back of the garlic bread alone lol. I dined solo, so I feel like the service wasn't "great" as it was during a busy time and my waiter was tending to larger parties, I had to wave him down a couple times to get his attention but he was nice. Also it is LOUD in there my goodness! If you don't mind LOUD crowds and great thin crust pizza, then this is the spot for you!
Excellent location for group of workers to dine in for some pizzas. They have large and personal size pizzas, with lots of different kinds and styles of pizzas. You can also order customized pizzaz. They have lunch menu that Includes sandwich and pasta as well. I got to try the Milanesa and chickpotle. Loved the chicken and pineapple combo in chickpotle. Milanesa was also good, had to get some marinara sauce to get to finish line. I liked that these pizzas had thin crust. The chicken in both pizzas could have been more fresh and seasoned. It was too washed for me. It takes little time for the food to come out, as they make pizzas from scratch. There’s a wonderful smell of baked pizza around and inside the restaurant. They also have a nice big bar here too. I’ll certainly come back to try some of there other items.
I did not enjoy my pizza. The crust was very thin as advertised but it was not airy. It was dense like a tortilla or other type of unleavened bread. My toppings didn't feel integrated either, as they slided right off when I picked up each piece. The service was OK. One of the waiters had a friendly smile and kept my drink topped, although I did have to ask for silverware and waited a long time for my check, and no one asked if I enjoyed the food. Overall, it didn't meet my expectations based on the very positive reviews.
The pizza was thin crust, as promised. But lacked complexity. The mushroom pizza was simple and not particularly flavourful, either. ETA: Lots of places drizzle truffle oil on mushroom pizzas, Parmesan fries etc. Since the style of this pizza is more subtle than intense, I actually found the oil dominates. I should have said that I found the pizza not especially flavourful, but for the note of truffle oil, which may or may not be a true extract of real truffles (I am not an expert on this). I am sure many people enjoy this pizza, Tappo has lots of great reviews. This however, was my impression of the place. What would have improved the pizza in my view by lending its flavour profile more dimension is adding better quality, more flavourful mozzarella and maybe some sharp, hard cheeses, as also some dried savoury herbs.
Overall a passable NY Italian restaurant. We got the Mediterranean salad with chicken, and a thin crust Hawaiian personal pizza. The Hawaiian pizza was decent, but the salad was quite bad - the chicken was dry, and we didn't eat more than a few bites. I might come back for pizza, but am skeptical of everything else on the menu.
Pros: - Pizza was remarkably thin as advertised! - Salad dressing/vinaigrette was outstanding. Cons: - Pizza taste itself was fine but not notable. This stings a bit given the pricing. Could use a bit more flavor. - Marinara sauce was okay. Note: I like tomatoes a lot, and so I will have a bias towards it. Normal amount of tomato on these pizzas.
We tried the salad, ravioli and parmigiana. Tasty food and the service was good. Salad could have been better. The mains were seasoned and cooked well. The ravioli was al-dente and had a generous dollop of marinara. The wait staff was stretched thin as there were only two people managing a huge crowd. It’s quite noisy indoors but we could get seating outdoors as the place was overflowing. Good place to grab Italian.
Maybe I should have just stuck the pizza. Judging by the reviews and all the people at my table who ordered pizza, everyone enjoyed it. I decided to be different and order pasta because the Pappardelle in Carbonara Sauce sounded really good. It was Pappardelle tossed in homemade carbonara sauce made with bacon and pulled chicken white meat, shiitake and portobello mushrooms, white wine and cream. In theory, it sounds good - I love pappardelle and carbonara. Sadly, it did not taste good. The chicken tasted like leftover chicken, and there was no flavor to the dish. I had to keep adding salt and red pepper flakes. At least the pasta was al dente and the garlic bread it was served with was good (albeit a bit oily). The drinks are not any better. The aperol spritz here isn't very good - pretty sure it's just aperol and seltzer, and the wine is pretty terrible. I tried a sip of the pinot noir my friend ordered and we both agreed it tasted like the three buck chuck from Trader Joe's, except it was 4x the price for a glass, and was served in a water cup. It was a pretty disappointing experience in general. Not sure if I’d want to come back to try the pizza.
I ordered the pappardelle al funghi with chicken in carbonara sauce this dish came with a cheese garlic bread as a side. the pappardelle noodles were fresh as were the shiitake mushrooms which tasted well with the bread crumbs. However the chicken and bacon had a rubber consistency to them to to add fuel to the fire there were 2 bones that I found in my chicken. the Alfredo sauce did not taste so fresh as well. there garlic cheese bread was not pleasant the bread tasted stale and the cheese on it tasted as if it were sitting a while. when I went into the restaurant I was the only person waiting for food but I did have a hefty wait Time for food that wasn't made with passion I would avoid eating there pastas. I may come back to taste there thin crust pizza but this dish was not it.
Service was good but the pizza is just not. The crust is light and thin and good but the meat is dry and sour, cheese is almost nonexistent and sauce is bland. I would go here for the fried calamari and Caesar salad only. A $40 pizza that tastes this bad is such a low bar for pizza in the city go anywhere else.
A pizza pie was nearly $35. I almost spit out my coffee when the cashier rung me up. I don’t care how good it is (nothing special) I will never pay that much for a single pie
