The bartender was super nice! Cocktails were delicious and beautifully crafted! Anyone looking to have a manhattan in manhattan this is the place, just don't go too late because it does get busy.

Small! But not an issue. Great personal atmosphere with good cocktails and simple but nice decor. Good spot for deep conversation and whiskey.

Ah what a lovely bar with fairly good amount of draft beer choices. It really felt like bar in your neighborhood where you hang out with all your friends and know the owner well. Not sth you can find very often in NYC now.

Perfect spot if you are looking to book a private event or just come hangout with some friends. They also offer whisky which helps on the cold winter nights.

Great spot. Very intimate atmosphere. The only bar I have ever been to with a very clean bathroom. The bartender is also super friendly! Would recommend if you are going out for a date or catching up with friends like I was!

Honest and compassionate service!!!! They truly care about your patronage. One of the only bars that is worth going back to time and time time again. When your there, you feel like your home. I have drank in the best bars on NYC, but this the one spot that i will reccomend to my boss, my best friend, my family and everyone in between.

A lovely upgrade to the previous bar. Craft beers and cocktails served to perfection. Also a nice varied whiskey collection. They also have a whiskey club if you're looking to try some rarer gems. Good professional vibe in the bar. Will come back soon!

I don't really write reviews, but really felt the need to write this one. This bar is a within arms length of the hospital, which is one of the reasons my colleagues and I come here after work. In the last year or so, the hunterian has become a pretty hostile environment for a lot of the hospital staff. I don't know his name, but one of the bartenders (short light red hair..Irish accent) has literally been bullying 2 male coworker friends of mine. From what I've heard from other regulars, he has been slowly trying to kick people out of there by creating false accusations to mask his discrimination. He seems to have an obvious problem with eastern European, Asians, and others. I have witnessed this on 2 or 3 occasions. After the other day, I felt the need to come on here and say something. I popped in a couple of days ago, and it's not what it used to be. We usually go here for trivia and karaoke, but this one employee has managed to turn off an entire institution of regular customers in such a short period of time. Murphys is right next door, and they offer food, a good a selection of alcohol, and loyal service. Not to mention the fact that they take care of health care employees. It's too bad because the hunterian used to be a nice gathering spot for after work.
