Vezzo is a popular spot for thin-crust pizza, praised for its delicious crust and fresh toppings. The carbonara and vodka sauce pasta are also highly recommended. Some find it a bit pricey, and takeout may not be the best option.

Tip: The plain cheese pizza is a solid choice, especially if you love thin crust. Consider dining in for the best experience, as takeout may not maintain the crust's quality.

Food and service were both impeccable. The pizzas are made to order and the menu has fantastic selections and variety for any palate. Dining room is very close quarters so you're rolling the dice a little if you're expecting an intimate setting, but overall I had a wonderful time and will be going back again.
The best THIN THIN crust pizza and such friendly staff. They let a big group of us take over the back side for hours while people slowly trickled in. The mushroom pizza is insane. The onion sausage was sooo good we got another. Highly recommend for casual vibes and pizza with fresh toppings and less bread.
I don't usually write reviews for pizza but must say that we had a party of 12 and ordered about 7 pies and can't remember names but were all so very delicious. Even the leftovers taken home tasted amazing when reheated ... such a lovely surprise! Can't wait to go back again.. highly recommend!
The staff was friendly and the food was so good. The portion sizes were just right. They forgot about our pizza but we didn't complain. We were stuffed. However, our pizza was ready they just forgot to bring it out to us. They comped the pizza for us. They didn't have to, but they did and we appreciated it. We ate the pizza the next day. We ate it cold since our hotel didn't have a microwave in the room and it was still delicious!
We picked up a pizza and Greek salad to go after a long day on our feet, and it hit the spot. The pizza was super thin crust with really good sauce, and the salad was refreshing with yummy feta. Our order was waiting for us when we arrived, and an employee gave us utensils after we asked. It was a great experience!
Really good authentic NYC Pizza. Went there twice as it was so good!
After a couple rounds at happy hour we got the urge for pizza but thin crust so we turned to trusty google. Its a find a seat and someone will come to you type of place with outside seating. The waiter and servers where very cool and tentative which is always awesome. I ordered two personal pies the meat lovers and the milanesa, my wife "wasnt hungry" lol. That all changed when the food came out. The place was packed but the food came out fairly quickly. Enjoyed every bite. When were back in the city this will definitely be visiting again.
They used to have amazing margarita pizza, the American way (mixed tomato sauce with cheese, thin-ish crust but not so this it becomes crisp). Now it’s a bland tomato sauce with a “fresh” mozzarella.
There are a million places to eat in New York. My family and I were there for a week and we ate at this place twice The service was pleasant. The food was delicious. It is worth a try to put it on your things to do in NYC.
Stopped here for lunch. Ordered the prosciutto mozz. sandwich. So outrageously good. FRESH ingredients in a mouth watering combination. OMG.
The best thin crust I've had in NYC. Cheesy packed slice with the perfect crust. Huge menu and great lunch specials. The homemade lemonade is amazing and YOU control the sweetness! The facility is lovely and warm, the staff nice and attentive. Great for solo dining, dates, family. A joyful lunch.
Great food, efficient friendly service. This is a very busy place with good quality produce but with a fast food ambience. A bit loud with bluesy music. If you go off peak it’s probably more relaxed. We weren’t rushed away but I didn’t feel like staying long. Very small tables for 2. But just about enough space. I would definitely go back for a pit stop. Good lunch time deals.
I crave this place, it's not even like I crave pizza, it's more like I crave one of the O's pizza's. They are really great at giving you what you ordered and for me pizza is all about customizations. I love the El Greco (no feta), the Shroomtown (easy cheese) and the Meatlovers (well done).
Now this is what NYC pizza should be like! I have been to a dozen places in NYC by far this is the best! Awesome, enough said! My goto place! Excellent comfortable feel with I side and outside seating. Small but good beer selection. Didn't try the salad but the pizza is true thin crispy crust. Nice!
I'm a sucker for thin crust pizza and this just might be the thinnest crust I've found. The sauce is good and they use just the right amount so as to keep the crunchiness of the crust. Highly recommend!
Pizza was amazing! Will definitely visit again A bit too loud inside for my liking but overall was a great experience
The shroomtown is good, but I think I would have liked the plain or classica margarita more. The first few bites of each slice was mainly mushrooms and I didn’t get to taste much of the marinara sauce until at the very end of the slice. The salads are really big, the house salad had a lot of olives. The pizza is worth coming back for.
Best Pizza in all NYC! Perfect thin crust, beautiful marinara. I consider myself a pro pizza consumer, and believe me, this is top tier.
I found this place by chance and walked in. Although very busy our amazing host Melanie managed to find me a nice table. I ordered “El Greco” and a cocktail “black manhattan” and I have to say that this was rhetorical best pizza I’ve ever had. Thank you Melanie for being an amazing host.
I really do believe that Vezzo has the best thin crust pizza in NY. (And yes I have tried Roberta's, which is fine but not as good) Servers are polite and hard working & I love the atmosphere. It's just nice enough to give you the feel of a trattoria and casual enough to be a perfect NYC meeting spot.
Unbelievable thin crust pizza. As good as it gets. Haven’t ventured past the plain cheese yet but will probably try some more variety next time. Probably. Also service is pretty inattentive, you have to flag your server down if you’re in a rush. I knew that before coming in and wasn’t put off by it.
The food was overall pretty good here. I highly recommend the Parma pizza that has sauce, cheese, prosciutto, arugula, bacon, balsamic, and green apple. All of the flavors complement each other perfectly especially the green apple which adds a sweet-tangy flavor to it. The mozzarella sticks and arancini were good, but the arancini isn’t worth the relatively pricey cost for only four of them. I’d rather recommend the mozzarella sticks because you get more for a cheaper price.
Vezzo NYC truly delivers a masterclass in thin-crust pizza, standing out as a must-try for any pizza enthusiast in the city's bustling culinary scene. What immediately sets them apart is their legendary crust – it's extraordinarily thin, achieving that perfect, almost cracker-like crispness with every single bite. This isn't a crust that sags under the weight of toppings; it maintains its structural integrity beautifully, offering a satisfying crunch that's incredibly difficult to replicate elsewhere. It's the foundation of a truly perfect pizza experience. The magic continues with the flavors. Each pizza is a testament to balance and the highest quality ingredients. The marinara sauce is consistently vibrant and tangy, providing a fresh counterpoint to the perfectly melted, rich cheese. Toppings, whether you opt for the simple elegance of their Classica Margherita or venture into more adventurous combinations, are always fresh, generous, and bursting with authentic flavor. You can genuinely taste the meticulous attention to detail in every component, ensuring every slice is a burst of deliciousness. Beyond the exquisite taste, Vezzo excels in customer service and efficiency. In a city where time is precious, their commitment to prompt delivery is truly remarkable. Orders consistently arrive on time, if not ahead of schedule, making them an incredibly reliable choice for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or feeding a crowd. The entire experience, from placing your order to savoring the last delicious bite, feels seamless and deeply satisfying. For anyone craving an authentic, perfectly executed thin-crust pizza, Vezzo NYC is not just a recommendation; it's an absolute imperative. It's the kind of place that will quickly become your unwavering go-to for that perfect pizza craving.
Went here while on a school trip with a friend that knew the city well. This was what he thought was the best kept secret in New York pizza. The great New York pizza debate is as old as time. I can’t say I tried them all but trust me I did my darndest to hit as many of the legendary famous pizzerias as humanly possible. Vezzos would be my pick based on everyone I tried. Truly superb incredible fresh ingredients, utterly perfect crust, sauce, and cheese. This is the platonic form of the ultimate pizza in my opinion. There’s probably hundreds of other worthy pizza places I could try and hope to try in New York, but I think I’d be hard pressed to find a pizza as good as this that could only be described as sublime. I’ve tried countless pizza places around the country a couple rating in the top ten in the nation. None have been burned into my memory as the best pizza I’ve ever had quite like Vezzo’s. Truly perfect 10/10 a must try for anyone, and my bench mark I judge every pizza I’ve had since against!
Came here three days in a row. First night: bar for some beers, amazing service, and great appetizers. Second night: pizza to go — the plain cheese pizza was 5 stars. Loved the thin crust. Tonight: back again for beers and appetizers, and the same guys were working — once again, 5 stars. Honestly, if it weren’t for them, I don’t think I would’ve come back so many times. Shoutout to Joshua, Vicente, and Jose — top-tier service. I saw some crazy reviews, but I’m glad I walked in myself. I was here a few months back on a work trip and will definitely be back again.
I have officially found my FAVORITE pizza in NYC! I cannot imagine loving a pizza more than I loved this pizza. So much so that I did get it two nights in a row to make sure that I loved it that much.... And to possible alleviate the fact that I would be missing this pizza every single day until I return to NYC. The crust is perfectly crunchy and every single bite is packed full of flavors. I ... AM....OBSESSED. Their staff is super-friendly and I enjoyed my chats with them while sipping on some of their yummy wine. #nycpizza #pizza #nyc
Anytime I am even remotely close to Manhattan, I make it a point to dine here. So, I detoured from EWR to the Jersey Shore and made a pitstop at Vezzo. This pizza joint never disappoints. Best thin crust anywhere. I tried the quinoa-cauliflower crust, and it was delicious. Couldn't tell the difference (at least on a 'Shroomtown).
The best Italian food we've had in the city. The vodka sauce pasta is second to none. Yep, that's right. The staff was super accommodating and we just walked in, no resy. Chris the manager, and the rest of the team were so warm and went out of their way to get us seated quickly. We're bringing all our friends here and will be regulars, making the trek from SoHo to enjoy amazing food and experience. You should too.
I would give 10 stars if possible! Found the restaurant as it was near our hotel and got reservations within minutes and walked over. We went to the one in Flatirons. Absolutely amazing. I have been to NYC to visit for over 20 years and by far, this was the BEST NY style thin crust pizza I have ever had. Found my new favorite pizza place. Service and ambiance were also top notch! Highly recommend!
Incredible pizza and a warm vibe. As a vegetarian, I always get the Tres Fuegos (no meat, sub jalapeños). The crispy crust, spicy sauce, and manchego cheese create a unique and delicious pizza. A little on the pricey side though.
Vezzo is a gem! The atmosphere is incredibly inviting and truly captures the essence of Italy. The pizza is absolutely delicious, with a perfect crust and mouthwatering toppings. The carbonara is equally impressive, creamy and flavorful with just the right balance of ingredients. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience!
On our New York visit, kids wanted to get thin crust pizza, so I wanted to try this for lunch. We were seated and served drinks, and the waiter gave an overview of the options. The ambiance is very good and they have a nice bar area too. We ordered lemonade and pizza with peppers topping. The service was fast, and the pizza tasted delicious and still remembered the flavor and thin crust was perfect. It's probably one of the best pizzas I had recently . I will try this place again for sure when I visit New york.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Very friendly and quick staff. The pasta carbonara is freshly made and just far out delicious. The pizzas are amazing too. To top it off, they offer some delicious looking (and tasting) desserts for reasonable prices. The restaurant was quite busy with some people waiting in the entrance, but they seem to keep everything under control.
Continuing my search for the best pizza in the city, I decided to try Vezzo after work on my way to a concert. Seeing it has thin crust in the name, I knew I was in for something a little different. And it was a pleasant surprise! I'm not a huge thin crust guy, but the crust on this pie was crispy enough to give it some substance. The ingredients were fresh and made for a good pie. The balance was a little off if I wanna get really picky - meat not spread out enough, too much garnish - but all in all it was a great pizza. If you're looking for something more filling, this isn't the place to go. But it was an excellent thin crust pizza and I'd absolutely go back. Recommended: Salsiccia Dolce. Great happy hour special! Pizza is super thin with a crispy crust and good flavor.
Great thin crust pizza spot. I haven't tried much other than the pizza and their garden salad with a house dressing ,(very fresh and delicious). Pizza is crisp never soggy. Toppings are fresh with good variety. Two large pizzas and a salad is enough to feed three easily. They also have a full bar. There is one step to enter this establishment.
Came here on a Friday night for dinner and it was decently packed. They have a good amount of seating inside although a bit cramped from what I saw. They have the side of the street for outdoor seating which is pretty nice. If it weren't for the humid weather, it would've been a great night to be sitting outside. I have to say their outdoor seating area is one of the better ones I've seen for the city. I have a stronger preference for thin crust than thicker crust pizza so I was excited to try their pizzas here. Everything else seemed pretty reasonably priced too. For food we got the bruschetta, quinoa and avocado salad, and chickpotle pizza (personal size). The bruschetta was alright. Nothing to special but had a decent amount of tomatoes on top. Not too much flavor though. The salad was huge so it was perfect for 2 (perhaps perfect to split for up to a party of 4). There was too much cheese for my liking, but the flavor was good and really enjoyed the huge slices of avocado that were on the perimeter of the plate. The chickpotle pizza was pretty good. I would say it's a bit pricey for a personal pie and it was kinda small as well. Curious to see how big their large size is for double the price. Not pictured here, we also got the lemonade which came unsweetened but they give you a bottle of simple syrup on the side so you can make it to your preferred sweetness. Pretty great since lemonade can sometimes be too sweet or too sour so you can make it how you like. And you can definitely tell it's not store-bought since you end up making it yourself. All in all, it's a pretty decent pizza place and service was really quick. The outdoor seating was really nice. Would definitely come back if I am ever in the area again.
I enjoyed the burrata with bread and basil-sauce a lot. Very delicious burrata cheese. The sauce on the pizza was off, but the basil and mozzarella chunks were solid. They did an amazing job at the actual thin crust: crispy but not burnt and easy to pick up. I just wish they used a different tomato sauce.
Truly wafer thin crust, great choice of toppings. Still great pizza but not my fav anymore bc maybe I hate to say, I'm used to 2 Italian mom and pop places in SF for Sicilian style pizza and central/northern style pizzas bc of their thin and CHEWY crusts that are more juicy slightly soggy. This crust is just a little dry but understandable bc it still holds the toppings very well without becoming soggy. Definitely come here if you are watching your carbs but still want a good pizza! Nice that they have an organic crust option. Good tre colori salad. No gluten free or dairy free cheese. We got the big pineapple adding more pineapple and also the classic adding roasted garlic and roasted peppers. I've had better roasted red peppers that are sweeter and more mushy however at grimaldis and other pizzerias.
Cool spot, super friendly staff, perfect music playing in the background to fit the mood, and tasty food. As NY pizza goes, it's not the best I've ever had, BUT it was super thin, crispy, and the toppings were great. I would definitely go back :-) Must get the tomato and mozzerella salad--holy moley!! So fresh and tasty!
Glad that this place has re-opened post covid. Their thin crust pizza is one of the best in New York city. I know many non pizza lovers also fell in love with their crispy pizzas. Would have given 5 stars if the service wasn't as slow as it was during my visit yesterday and there weren't some minor misses (getting red pepper in place of sub dried tomate as pizza topping) to my customized pizza order
If you are looking for a cozy and quiet dinner and sit inside not the place for you. Very lively atmosphere and diverse crowd. Lots of regulars. The waitstaff had to shout and then they couldn't hear our reply. I ordered a rootbeer never received it. My son ordered main course salad and we were all eating our meals and we had to ask where his food was. However the pizza is the best thin crust I have ever eaten! Very scrumptious! I would return just to get it ... but would opt for take out.
Vezzo has the BEST thin-crust pizza! Easily one of my favorite pizza spots in New York. I’m obsessed with the Shrumtown — they’re generous with the mushrooms and the flavor is perfect every time. Their plain pie is also amazing! My only wish is that they offered some mocktail options, because I’d definitely order one. Overall, great spot and always worth the visit! 🍕
We stop by at Vezzo over the weekend while strolling around Lexington Avenue! We ordered garlic breads, Margertia pizza and a veggie Pizza with extra garlic. Both the pizzas were amazing! Their thin crust was the best I have ever eaten. Loved the ambience and friendly staff! Highly recommend this place.
Super buttery and fluffy garlic bread! I really liked the Big Pineapple pizza. Our group also ordered a meat lover’s and a margherita, but those were a bit dry and the meat lover’s was definitely on the salty side. That being said, the crust was amazing — it was like eating pizza on a chip! Might come back and try some others.
Great thin crust pizza with generous toppings but it is quite small, making a filling meal more pricey. They have a nice wine collection and is an upscale pizza place. They additionally sell pasta, desserts, sandwiches etc. The base despite being thin had a nice chew and was not too crisp. You will need to get at least 50% more slices than you would regularly, making you pay around that much more. Slices are around ($4-$5).
Nice neighbourhood place Wine is expensive ($52 for a house red) Pizzas were ok, not the best but not terrible - the mac and cheese wasn’t good as the sauce had separated
Ok neighborhood pizzeria. Was there for a quick evening meal while in NYC on business. Initial impression was poor. Blase’. The pluses: the personal 9” pizza was delicious! Food came to the table hot. Cons: poor service, maybe a little unfriendly. Long wait. Cost (IMO) was high for the area.
We came from out of town and what a disappointment. The pizza wasnt even enough to feed one child. We visit often and will not patronize again.
If you are a tortoise, this place is for you. We ordered a margherita pizza, which comes with basil and tomatoes, but surprisingly the basil covered all the pizza leaving it completely green, with red spots marked by the little tomato halves on top of the pizza. The cheese was less than a third of what the pizza was. I guess they try to make the pizza as similar to a salad as possible.
Reserved a table in advance and on arrival was seated straight away. Our drinks and food orders were taken quickly and arrived in a reasonable time as well. Unfortunately the personal pizza was smaller than expected and the edges were burnt to a crisp (but perhaps to be expected due to how thin the dough is) but the toppings were delicious. The meatballs were tasty, but there wasn’t much breadcrumb/parmesan topping and no additional cheese was offered. There was far too much spaghetti cramped into a small bowl, which made it a bit tricky to eat.
We were dinning at a diagonally adjacent restaurant, Leonetta. Thought it would be a great opportunity to compare this fare, thin crust pizza, with Rubirosa on Mulberry Street. We got a classica Margherita & a meat lover. The former was made with sliced up cherry tomatoes rather than a well-balanced amount of tomato sauce. Its mozzarella cheese is kind of thick for a thin crust. The proportion is not balanced here, too. Even though this is a take-out, we reheated the slices at home, which didn't give me the crunchy crust we expected. We tried the meat lover. This can be fairly compared to Rubirosa's supreme. The pizza is made with tomato sauce with finely grounded meat laced with some sort of cured sliced meat. The sauce tasted better, but the pizza is not as complex as the Supreme. We don't believe the Margherita should cost over $30. $25 would be already too much
Crazy. A custom large thin crust with 5 toppings (veggies) ended up being almost $60 before tax and tip (just the pizza, no drinks).
Yesterday I came and ordered and service as great food was spectacular. Today I come and this new male employee working at the bar and sits me in the back. Forgets that I’m there so after ten minutes I leave. Felt disrespected. Im going to try to let it go but I had to speak about this.
I was craving a pineapple pizza after seeing so many pizza shops on our walk around NYC. On our last night we had time to see what was nearby and Vezzo came up in a search. I ordered the big pineapple, expecting a big amount yet was very disappointed. The server could see my angst and asked was everything ok. I doubled checked I had the right pizza to which she replied yes and walked off. We live a think crust yet Vezzo took it to a whole new level. It was more like topping on a cracker. Very dark inside, so if you need d glasses due the flashlight on your phone.
First timer at this placeStaff was great. Ordered a chicken ceaser salad to go. Came quick..the problem..the chicken was hard as a rock and couldn't eat. Very disappointing after I was told that it was am excellent choice by the manager $23 First and last time ...
I got the mushroom pizza for takeout and it was not good. The mushrooms were mostly raw and the crust was like cardboard. The only redeeming quality was that the pizza is light, so I didn't regret eating it too much. I really don't recommend takeout at this place. Maybe because the crust is so thin, the pizza just doesn't retain heat for long, and thus, transforms into day-old tasting leftover pizza very quickly. I would've preferred to have eaten one of those microwaved-on-a-crisper-tray red baron pizzas over this pizza.
I ordered one Shroomtwon Pizza and informed them to not add any type of meat, also menu mentioned ingredients had a mushrooms only and then I ask them again when they bring pizza and after that suddenly I found a meat portion (beef) over there. I asked them why it has meat as I ordered only mushroom pizza and even request them earlier as I'm pure vegetarian. They were like we are sorry. And then they all went. They were like we are sorry. And then they all went. A very terrific experience happened to me. Luckily we saw that piece before starting to eat otherwise it really bed stuff for my religion. It never happened to me earlier anywhere and I never ate any kind of meat before. Honestly I feel like this guy is Careless and does not have anything for customer satisfaction. They are not even taking care of us on time. We came from the Midwest and feel like we have never seen this kind of Careless people before. Honestly they ruin my entire vacation of this 4th of July. I know it's very common for United States people when they eat meat regularly. But just assume this from any vegan people's aspect or someone's aspect who never ate any meat in her whole 25 years of entire life. I never recommend any vegan to eat or even drink from this store. Please make it more perfect and give a proper training to your Illiterate staff. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Thin crust pizza that's what i ordered and i received thin crust burned pizza with smell all over it. I called them right away and they offered me refund but I cannot let any food go waste no matter how bad 😔 , hence refused. I usually like their combination of drinks and pizza but after this failure I need to search for others that actually feel proud of making pizza and do it by heart. Tonight I am sleeping with bitter taste in mouth. Thanks to their drinks it made it much bearable. However fact remains : Utter disappointment
