My first choice of Chinese style bbq skewers! Taste excellent!

Very good! I was missing Woodhouse BBQ in Union City and found this to be very close! But, no BBQ pork intestine on a stick? Even though we didn’t find that, everything else was excellent. We especially come to here for the BBQ skewers. I was introduced to them by my partner, who is of Chinese descent, and am hooked. I have had, and recommend, the Lamb, Beef tendon, Chicken gizzard, Octopus, Chicken hearts, coriander rolls, and thin Tofu wraps, though the rest are also great! Highly recommended and thanks to the staff we got more good ideas!

My friend recomended this place to me since it has hours from dinner till almost midnight. The BBQ is good and I like the spcy vagetable soup (malatang). I have ordered to go for more than 5 times and one dinner I took my son to dine in. Pretty cool and always popular during weekend.

Our place to go for Chinese style BBQ. Their lamb chop Is my favorite. The newly remodeled tables and chairs are much better than before. Usually getting busy during weekend. Opens lately at night is a plus.

Update 2025: I finally had time to eat here again. it has definitely changed! It's now bigger and more "bar/bbq" themed than a cafe. Food was again excellent! Staff members - these guys were super cool. Cooked food was delivered by the lady that cooked it. They also brought a small spin wheel to win free food. I got 2 chicken skin skewers! Definitely one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in this area. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I love this place and there used to be a couple of guys who worked there that I've been cool with. But when they are not there, it seems like I get somewhat of a "I'm not important" service. Not all the time, but sometimes. But I do love their tofu skewers and they are super cheap!!! The spices are done right. The other foods I had were also good. Can be busy!!!!

Very nice chinese bbq restaurant with reasonable price at East Bay. The restaurant has been around for a while. We arrived and got seated right away. You order using QR code. There are plenty of bbq items to choose from. Our order was ready quickly. It has meat and veggies. I love all the meats and veggies which we ordered. You can keep ordering. The spicy chicken feet are yummy. The meats are tender. The 🍆 also yummy. We went home full and satisfied.

Placing order online was easy and adding on made it simple with ease. We didn't get much but it was my first time at a place like this and I loved it. Ahhhh!!! 🫣

The meats were so tender and packed with flavor. The atmosphere was great and filled with vibrant decor and neon lighting, which really added to the experience.

Food is great and authentic! They're finally opened for dine in. There's not a lot of seating either so it's better to arrive within the first 2 hours of opening since they filled up fast! Each skewer was made fresh and handed to us right when they were done! The chef kept kept bringing skewers out to every table so we got a chance to see what the other skewers looked like. -1 star for the service though. the waiter was on his airpods and didn't serve us water or anything to drink. We saw that none of the tables had water and had boba only. The women from the boba place ended up taking our order and we ended up ordering drinks from the boba place instead.

Great food, love the lamb skewers. The cold noodle dish was wonderful as well. My wife especially likes the man tao n the radish fried rice.

The taste is pretty decent here and the meat pieces are BIG. They share a wall and opening to the Ume next door and if you order from Ume the server will bring your tea to your table. Definitely cheaper than other BBQ locations. Our server who wore glasses handed us napkins without us having to ask MULTIPLE times while we were busy digging in with our fingers. THANK YOU. However, other servers all looked like they had an attitude. The restaurant decor and furniture looked really cheap and unprofessional. Will still return for the competitive price and value.

Came with a group of 10 for a late night dinner, a bit of a squeeze but not uncomfortable. The BBQ was pretty good, I liked the sweet rolls and cucumber with tofu strips dish a lot too. Cucumber was OK. Beijing yogurt was OK. Service was OK, they kept the drinks and food flowing. 4/5.

Came with a group of 10 for a late night dinner, a bit of a squeeze but not uncomfortable. The BBQ was pretty good, I liked the sweet rolls and cucumber with tofu strips dish a lot too. Cucumber was OK. Beijing yogurt was OK. Service was OK, they kept the drinks and food flowing. 4/5.

Chicken gizzards, oysters, and pig feet is ok. Not spicy!!! The other things is so-so. However, not authentic. I think I probably won’t come back.

We only had two people and didn’t order much and it took more than 1.5hours for all the dishes to be served. The last one was bbq beef and that alone took us more than 20min to wait. Be careful if you want to dine in before 9pm, you may need to waste a lot of time on sitting there and waiting.

The place has a decent skewer, I would recommend trying this place if you like authentic Chinese skewer. The UMExAK milk tea however is a rip off. It is way too expensive for what they offer, if you order online before they let you choose large cup for extra dollar but that option is gone and for 5 filler, you get such a little drink. Would not come back here untill the price is reasonable.

The menu has a lot of options. The skewers and clams and the service were pretty good, so I wish I could recommend. However, the restroom was really dirty. There was no soap and there was a big dirty mop bucket right next to the toilet and the sink. The owners don't seem to care about sanitation, which is a shame.

We ordered a take out and said “no spicy” because we have kids. Then, we got it home and saw everything is spicy. I have no idea why they do that and not understanding a simple order. I will not come again.

I ordered takeout but saw something unknown in the meat skewers, which affected my dining experience very much. Moreover, when I was almost finished, I hope the store can carefully check the food.

The foods are over seasoned. The corn was totally raw when we ate it(very hard to chew on). Other foods come in very small portion as well. Would not consider a second visit.

arrive at 8:00 pm, said 6 table ahead 20 minutes wait. Stand outside for 30 minutes. Asked again, say 4 table more and they refuse to give me estimation time. So I left. Ate a lot of air, they are tasty

It made me wanted to puke my guts out! Found this in my rice noodle. Don’t go there unless you want to find steel like this in you plate.

Had one time before and it was good. Came back in ‘24 but got a different experience. Waited for 1+hrs and was told our table been taken by some no-shows. Give us a table in the kitchen. Extremely rule, not coming back again.
