An excellent meal. Quite impressed with the unexpected standard to the food and service here. The presentation is good but the service and the inclinations to cuisine and flavours to the food are superb. Had a 3 course meal. All excellent. I had the Angus burger and requested some bbq sauce. Kitchen made it was superlative with an Asian tinge, freshly cut chilli and a soy base, I was absolutely blown away. A simple condiment - but exquisite. The desert was similarly well done. These elements along with our server, Jonathan’s, friendly, professional and polished attitude and care, meant for an excellent meal and evening.

Food was great, staff were really friendly, place was well maintained and organized. Balcony area is a charm.

Had delicious 3 course meal, beautifully presented, along with fab cocktails (alcohol and alcohol-free) on Saturday night before Our Planet in 3 Arena. Great service despite busyness and lovely staff. No pressure to move on (we were 30 minutes early for our table). Will be back again

I've eaten here several times before shows in the 3. The food is always delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and professional. I think a lot of people are disappointed the place doesn't look like it does on First Dates but that shouldn't take from your evening.

Visited Coda on Saturday night and the restaurant was about 80% capacity but despite this, service was very quick, we were greeted and seated by Adam and served menus and drink orders were taken without delay. Food was excellent and the service was spot on, was hard to fault to be honest, will definitely be back again, many thanks

The Perfect Place To Eat Before A Concert! We’d a great evening before Lewis Capaldi. Gorgeous dinner and cocktails! Lovely staff, extremely accommodating to our request despite being busy (Thanks Frederico!) Will definitely be back! Great buzz without it feeling packed. So enjoyable! Obviously make a reservation!

Relativ teuer (expensiv) aber gute Küche mit sättigenden Portionen und freundliche Bedienung, Ambiente eher nur lala

Nice value Asian style food. Can get cinema deal on nights where nothing on in 3 arena ONLY. Nice views, good value and big screen for matches if you just want a drink. Only do brunch one day of weekend which is a pity

Service was excellent, plenty of waiting staff and very efficient. The food was good although portion size of the tortellloni disappointing.

We stayed in the hotel and while waiting to check in I tried the angus burger here and was pleasantly surprised. I’m a bit of a burger snob, so I was taken aback that It ended up being one of the more flavourful burgers I’ve ever had. We even ordered again later in our trip for room service. The beef patty may very well be frozen, but it’s properly seasoned and has a nice beef flavour throughout. Whatever cheese they put on it went incredibly well with it, too. We hadn’t tried anything else on the menu, but I’m still thinking about the burger, so give it a shot.

This could have very easily been a 5 ⭐️ review. Served by Hugh, and he was exceptional, the food was very good, location great, and nice atmosphere. Just one of the team members we found incredibly arrogant which is just not acceptable.

Food wasn't great, I'd say below standard. Table beside us also complained re portion sizes. No starter appealed to either of us. So we passed on this. Add chicken wings lads 😀 Mains we went with burgers. 5/10 and chips had an awful after taste. Porn star has no presecco on side and Heineken was an inch from top, perhaps spillage. On a positive all staff so friendly and polite. The location is also excellent if at The Point.

I had some delicious food but as I exited the bathroom, I was accosted by a man dressed in a bear costume. It wasn't Halloween and I don't think he was a real bear either, as he could use his thumbs quite well. The service was poor because a bathroom attendant watched the bear/man splash water in my face repeatedly. When I returned to my table, the atmosphere was frosty and I felt uncomfortable as the bear/man was staring at me from across the room. His piercing stare spoiled my banana split, and I began shivering uncontrollably due to the soaking I suffered. Will return when bears are in hibernation, or not at all.

We booked the restaurant not only because of handiness staying in the Gibson but also having seen the TV programme First Dates. But yet it bears little resemblance to the show. Food was grand and hot, perhaps delivered a bit too quickly giving the impression that we were to be moved along quickly. Given that you are adjacent to a big event venue, it seems that the turn around of customers is key, which is understandable, but the restaurant was not even half full and a little more time between courses would have been better. Staff very friendly and attentive, but I'd say they are fed up being asked by everyone about the First Dates restaurant, or where it was?! I think you are missing a marketing trick here, perhaps there is a restriction from the TV production company, but I guess a lot of people turn up expecting the experience, the staff and even to have a drink at the non-existent cocktail bar. That said we had a good night.

My girlfriend is a fan of the first dates show so we decided to come for the experience. Sadly it didn't live up to the expectations. Food was ok but nothing special, while we were waiting for desert they took whatever water and wine we had left wich we found quite odd. It's a good place but probably we were expecting a bit more

Freezing cold Baltic restaurant. The manager was wearing shirt and woollen polo neck jumper and jacket. It was so cold we could not stay any longer so no dessert or coffee. A real disappointment 😱😱

Lots of interesting stuff on menu, but not very well done, food uninteresting, mediocre taste, especially for the prices.

Grossly overpriced, food is disappointingly bland. Staff are very friendly.

Lovely hotel, we’ve stayed a few times and eaten in the restaurant before with no issues. Six of us dined on Saturday night but to be honest it had faults this time round. No sides arrived with our meal and actually wasn’t sure we were meant to get any until I rechecked the concert menu once back home. Sweet roast potatoes weren’t there. Coffees ordered a few times and some never arrived so we gave up. Staying in hotel before Cher in November but shall eat somewhere else beforehand. Pity

Its not so much that the food is bad, as it is overly expensive. 2 courses was €30, and for that, I'd expect better. I got a burger and chips; the chips were under cooked, the burger was ok, but nowhere near worth the price. The dessert (a chocolate mousse) was very nice. Service was ok as well, though we relied on the manageress' to do the jobs of the wait staff, who tended to be a bit disinterested, leaving their bosses to pick up the slack. Ok, but for the price, I expect a lot more.

I've been a customer of the Gibson for over 4 years now and the current level of service deterioration and degradation at the Coda Eatery bar is alarming: waiters always new that never get to know the business; waiters that are not looking at the clients to see what they want and therefore need to be called after 20 minutes; waiters that do not know what's in the menu; waiters that don't even ask you what to drink when taking your order; managers that are not spotting these issues because they are recurring. For the record I've been working in this industry for over 13 years.

Had the chicken supreme , could hardly find it on the plate. Potato was lukewarm at best and you d find more meat on a dead hamster. Rip off !

Sorry i didn't read the reviews first, in a nutshell, the food was ok, but the service was absolutley abysmal, could'nt get anyones attention to order desserts and more drinks, there was several staff sitting around talking, one on a phone, all doing their best to avoid service, clearly no manager on, filled in feedback form via e-mail and not even a courtesy response, when first seated the waiter didn't even know what drinks were available at the bar also, too many options around to ever go here again,

Honestly the worst salad I have ever eaten. I could never imagine to have a dry salad. First of all the garlic croutons were forgotten in the kitchen. So I complained and the kitchen added the croutons . Not a big issue. I don’t think the salad has a bad quality but the recipe should be honestly changed, The salad leaves were far too big so first of all I had to cut all the leaves and mixed it up in the hope that it will be less dry. Because they use powder Parmesan it is making the salad unbelievable try. Better would be Parmesan in slices or chips. The next thing is the dressing: They write in the menu “a light dressing”. I mean it is simply pure fat. I guess mayonnaise with some anchovy aroma and as it is not liquid enough it does not cover the salad leaves and this leads again to dryness. So this food was really not my case.

Sandwich with ONE thin slice of beef?? Got stuck eating in this hotel restaurant, really regretted it. Overpriced bad food and poor, inattentive service. Hotel is nice, restaurant is not.

I have never left a bad review before but this was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a very long time. Starter was bland but our main was the real issue as our vegetables were bruised and wilted which was really off putting. Our steak and chicken was bland and not hot. Both our desserts were really unappetising. We ate as much as we could as we were starving but for what we paid we would really expect produce and dishes served up to be at a much higher standard. I would not dine here again.

The servers were rude and didnt speak English well. Never cleaned the table, we had to go and get them. Didn't know anything about their OWN MENUS!!! It's embarrassing. The food was good but thats about how far the good things go.

Poorly prepared steak and hygiene issues. Ordered a medium-rare steak and received it medium-well, clearly overcooked on a dirty grill with burnt residue. Replacement arrived 15 minutes later and was still wrong, medium to medium-well, while the other person's food was getting cold so she had to eat alone. For the price, the quality is not acceptable. You can get better steak elsewhere in town, even for less. Chips were cold, and the vinegar bottle was dirty with a fly inside. Yes, a fly inside. Disgusting. What i received here i can make at home on any frying pan. When we arrived, the tables were messy and we were seated anyway. During our entire stay, staff continued setting up around us, constantly moving tables, chairs, and walking by. For a restaurant at this price level, everything should be ready before guests arrive. The constant movement made the experience uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. I took a few weeks to write this review to make sure I wasn't doing it out of anger, but the food was so disgusting that I can't help but feel that way again.

Had a very disappointing experience here last Friday. Had a reservation at 7.45pm, when we were seated it was never mentioned that the kitchen closed at 8pm. We were also left for 15 minutes without anyone taking our food or drink orders. We finally flagged a member of staff down ourselves, and advised them we were using a voucher. When they validated the voucher they then informed us that the kitchen was closed and we would have to move to the bar area and order off of the bar menu. From this point the service was better, though when we got the bill the voucher had not been applied and we had to share details of the voucher we had saved for it to be added again to our table. We also didn't get our first drinks until 8.30 which was 45 minutes after we arrived. The staff seemed polite and friendly and were doing their best, but all in all it seemed very unorganised and staff not trained to the level they should be. I still can't understand why we were seated at 7.45 and not told the kitchen was about to close and also left without service until the kitchen closed. Cannot see ourselves going back again.

Very poor experience. We were given a voucher as a gift to use at this restaurant. We arrived to the Gibson at 7.45 for our reservation at that time - got seated etc. We got our menus and waited for someone to come back to take our order or even drinks order. We had to get someone’s attention (at this stage it was after 8pm). She came back to us and asked us if we wanted “the good news or the bad news”. She told us the bad news was the kitchen is now closed (??) so we can’t order but she can bring us to the bar and we can use our voucher there. I told her i thought this was absolutely outrageous because someone just sat us down and never told us about having to order before 8, nor did anyone try to get our order in before the deadline, and she said she agreed with me but that she wasn’t the person who greeted us at the start. Food in the bar was fine. We eventually got our first drink at 8.30 - 45 mins after we arrived. When the bill came they knew nothing about our gift voucher which we handed to the initial lady, and they had to go searching around for her and the voucher. We couldn’t help but laugh at how poorly this night had gone. If you’re getting dinner in the area before a concert, would recommend Ruby’s, the Mayson or Cill Airne over this establishment.
