Everything there is delicious. The soup, the seafood, the meat. We don't get to eat there often so we order different things.

Good find of a terrific local Chinese restaurant. Lack of up to date ambiance is balanced off by good and tasty dishes at a reasonable price. The sizes off the family style servings are more than ample, and we've been pleased with the freshness of the food. The many dishes on the menu to choose from are supplemented by items posted on Chinese on the walls so you know that native speakers can order authentic food. We usually ask for the special menu which offers three items for one price of around $20 that includes soup too. Although your bill will come with fortune cookies, a typical dessert of daily sweet hot soup is available at no extra charge, but you need to ask for it. Ly Luck is our go to restaurant for Chinese food.

Big portions. Reasonable prices. Good, authentic Cantonese food. The printed menu is not the complete menu! Be sure to look at special items on the wall of the restaurant and on the whiteboard. The food was so tasty. I’m so happy that they have indoor seating. The new owners are very happy to serve us. Please give this place a try.

Good food at a remarkably low price. Mostly Asian clientele, but also Western-palate-friendly. Dishes don't come from the kitchen quickly, so for take-out call 20-30 minutes in advance.

The food was great! Nice size portions enough for you to take home. Friendly service and a very clean dining area. I highly recommend the salt and pepper Cod!

LyLuck is now under new ownership. Dine in is available again and they are open 7 days a week now. The food still tastes great like before. There has been a change of menu items, so check the menu carefully. I have provided the new menu in my photos. My takeout order today was my usual order in the past which is still on their new menu. Fave dishes: rock cod w/crab meat sauce (white) and salt and pepper spareribs! Really, everything was delicious. Tonight we also got pan fried noodles, honey walnut prawns, chow fun, spinach and garlic, and won ton soup. EVERYTHING was delicious.

Had a family banquet in their side room after their recent change of ownership. The food all came out fresh and delicious…eggplant was really good, as was whole steamed fish and longevity noodles. Service was quick and good. We had the whole room to ourselves which was easy with kids. Speaking of kids, their fish tank is in the back on the way to the bathroom. #iykyk

I enjoy this restaurant. They are usually busy so make a decision then order. Their food is wonderful. I enjoy beef stew noodle soup/war wonton, and occasionally the garlic crab.

Try the Pan Fried Tomato Beef chow mein. This place is NOT fancy but It's the best in town at a great price. Large portions and enough to fill your hungry appetite! Don't expect a spotless restaurant but you can tell by the amount of customers, this place IS a winner.

We have been coming to Ly-Luck for many years. Food is always fresh and delicious. Staff are friendly and expedient. Convenient location and it is not difficult to find parking. Reasonably priced and good portions. It is a neighborhood no-frill restaurant. Once we even saw the Oakland Mayor and her family dining here.

GREAT VALUE! This place blows Chinatown restaurants away; big portions + tasty + fair pricing = Great Value. This has been our family favorite for years. Like most Asians, we're critical about our food. Ambiance is low on our scale. Service just needs to be adequate. But food portion sizes and quality ALWAYS have to hit high marks. You know how truckers know about a good place to eat? They seek out the restaurants with the most Asian customers. Ly Luck rocks!

Amazingly, the food remains the same. The flavor is consistent, price affordable, and quantity substantial. Although the looks outside and inside remain quite dated, the food is good. Don't expect high-end service and ambiance.

Don't expect high-end service and ambiance.

Honestly, nothing special. I need to try the seafood dishes. I just had boring fried rice and Kung pao chicken. The spring rolls were good and the noodles in the chicken chow mein were good. But we sat in the back in the corner near the kitchen where got dingy and grimy feeling. The place had a vibe of neglect. I would come here again but sit somewhere else and order the seafood.

It's a generic Chinese restaurant. Generic ambiance. Generic menu. Average food. Vegetarians have a few options. I got the veg chow mein. It was oily as expected and quite bland. Nothing to write home about except the prices.

wow just wow so sad my family and I have been coming here for years, since the first owner Nancy. Food was always amazingly delicious. I got a big surprise when I went for my usual Thursday night dinner and found out they changed ownership 🥹 I was hungry so I decided to try them out because hey ya never know it could still be just as good right 🤷‍♀️ nope I was wrong. Its mediocre chinese food and thats all ill say...

The food was good as usual but the service left a huge question mark. Originally we were going to dine in but I wasn't feeling well so we ordered to go. From then after we weren't offered and didn't get eating utensils, napkins, or sauces.

But then again. You be your own judge. I'd like to go back to try the crab . The location has scares street parking . Although there is a lot across the street for all the shops I think. The interior is a wee bit outdated. We weren't permitted access to restrooms . Just greeted at the tables which barricaded the dining space.

Food is great . Oysters and lobster are perfect . Every time I eat here I tend to spend 100$-150$ on food and recently I went there to eat with my mother and I payed and the waitress asked me if I left a tip I replied yes I always do . She then looks at the table to see how much I left then shakes her head and clicks her tongue and yes it was a decent tip for the service.

Darn it! This used to be my favorite Chinese food place. Not anymore! New ownership and the food is now soooo bland. Not happy 😱 Now we need to search for another Chinese restaurant. Oh well- sigh.

It is so sad I have been eating here 30 yrs. Now snd never had any problems with the good. I order the pork chops with ginger over rice. I took it home and notice the chops were not cooked all the way . They were still pink inside and had a bad tangy taste! I immediately call them back the young man at front counter said he had ti check with the book ti see what to do since I had took the item home. The young man said the book advised me to bring the food back . I had only bitten off a piece of chop. I was upset that that the small statue. Petite women that sits next to the kitchen began fussing in her language then in English said she no want food! I yelled back which I should have done and told her I have been coming here with my family for 20 yrs. And never received bad food before. Please Becareful going here check your food and I guess it is different owner now. The elderly nice waitress Corina is no longer there. It has been a changing of the guard.

The most horrible Chinese food I've ever tasted in my entire life. What I was most disgusted by, were the dried fried ribs, and honestly I think they might have been little cat arms and legs; because the style and texture was none like i've ever eaten before, all of my years of eating Chinese food. I will never ever eat there again in my life, if it is the last Chinese food place on earth. I'm surprised we didnt get food poisoning.

The worst service ever!! The waitress brought wrong food and we requested the one we ordered. She never said sorry, yet got upset and didn't serve us. Never going back to Ly Luck.
