Vivo at Universal CityWalk is absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting perfect for a relaxing break from a busy day at the parks. The food was incredible. We tried the linguine with clams, spaghetti Bolognese, Caesar salad, and calamari, and every single dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For an extra special experience, you absolutely must ask for Jay. He’s phenomenal and will make your dinner even more delightful with his attentive, friendly service. If you’re visiting Universal and need a great break from the crowds, Vivo is the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy amazing Italian food, and recharge before heading back into the fun. Highly recommend!

We had dinner at Vivo Italian Kitchen while at City Walk and had a great experience! It was busy but not overly crowded. Our server was friendly and helpful with the menu. The service was great, and our entrees were brought to us in a timely manner. I ordered the linguine and clams pasta. It was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Vivo Italian Kitchen, and I look forward to dining here again soon!

A wonderful experience at CityWalk, our first time visiting. Plenty of dining options there, most had lines so we opted for VIVO, we were quoted a 20 minute wait but were seated in 5. Had been seated at the bar while waiting and didn’t even get to order a drink. Food was excellent and not as outrageous pricing as Disney restaurants. Pricey for sure, but not exorbitant especially when considering the quality. All the pasta is fresh made durum semolina, you can taste the difference. Partner got seafood with squid ink pasta, her favorite and a rare find. Minestrone had mushrooms and pesto which was a unique twist on a classic. Trottole with broccoli rabe and sausage was delicious, another hard to find pasta shape. Alcohol was pricey relative to the meals, so consider that when visiting. Big shout out to the staff though, particularly Giovanna and Brayde, wonderful people, made the night. Will be back again as there are numerous dishes worth trying on the menu.

This place deserves a Michelin star. One of the best restaurants I've ever visited in the USA. I highly recommend visiting this place, even if you have to change your travel plans to do so. Note: make a reservation in advance, as getting a table can be difficult. But it's totally worth it!

I went here for my birthday while on vacation. I stupidly did not realize how popular this place would be and did not make a reservation but being solo lucked out on being able to find a spot at the bar. If you’re going I’d certainly make a reservation!!! Halle was my server / bartender and props to her because not only was she beyond kind, and made my birthday dinner super nice, but she definitely handled some characters super well! Any Italian place that serves you oil with Bread knows what’s up, so that was a great start. I ended up getting the fettuccine Alfredo, which you’d think would be a super basic dish, but they make the pasta scratch and you can definitely tell it’s fresh!! The blueberry cheesecake was small but decent. Overall, probably one of my fav places in City Walk and I hope to go back someday and try a few more dishes! Thanks again Halle!

Excellent! We tried a secret Passholder menu item, the casio e Pepe. This needs to be on the full time. Our server was wonderful, very attentive and nice. Portions are quite large, so go hungry. And resist the temptation to fill up on the bread! VIVO is one Italian restaurant in Orlando that’s getting it right . We will be back!

Was recently in Orlando with family. Been meaning to try the food at Vivo for the longest time and finally got the chance. Wow! 10/10. The food and drinks were delicious (I got the bucatini with meatballs)The service was excellent and I loved the decor and atmosphere. For four of us, it was about $350ish, which included appetizers, multiple drinks and desserts...desserts...so good. A definite recommend.

I booked a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was perfect! Our waitress Christine was such a delight and made the night so memorable for us. She was so sweet and made sure to bring out a desert for us. The host that brought us to our table shared many sweet comments to us and was such a help in making the night amazing. The food was great, very flavorful and the ambiance was very comfortable. If you get the chance, ask for Christine!

This is an authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Universal Orlando City Walk. The food was delicious, our server (Char) was fantastic, and the atmosphere was pleasant for being right outside a theme park. The food portions are great! We had reservations and they took us a few minutes early.

I write a number of reviews and can usually find good words. This was the first place we eat at when we arrived at Universal, flight was not the greatest and we didn’t get to our room until 8:30pm and it was after 9 when walk up VIVO was seated right away and from there everything was so excellent our waitress was so friendly and nice everything was so superb and this was at closing after they had what I am sure a long day due to the last day of there Halloween festival and everything was on point. And the price was right in line with any other restaurant. And when our waitress found out that this was our very first time to Universal she went the extra step with our desert

A Taste of Italy—Truly Exceptional Wow—what an amazing restaurant! I visited for a client reception, and it’s easily one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had outside of Italy. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by at least a dozen staff members. While that level of hospitality might be expected in a theme park setting, it still made us feel genuinely special. Appetizers were already on the table, and they were outstanding—especially the cheese, prosciutto, and calabrese. The caprese salad was so fresh and flavorful, I could’ve made a meal of it alone. For mains, we had the Squid Ink Seafood pasta and the Piccata. The Piccata was perfectly prepared, while the seafood dish could’ve used a bit more squid to balance the flavors. Sadly, we didn’t have room to fully enjoy the dessert platter, but the tiramisu we shared was moist, rich, and absolutely perfect. Service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive. Plates disappeared and drinks appeared almost magically, allowing us to focus on our conversations without interruption. Overall: I would absolutely recommend this place and look forward to returning. My Rating: '4 Stars' = Very Good, '5 Stars' = Way Above Expectations

If you’re hungry and you’re visiting City Walk in Orlando, FL do yourself a favor and come eat here. The food was delicious but more importantly the service was top-notch. We had the pleasure of having Christine as our server and let’s just say, she was beyond amazing. 🤩 David the manager was also very nice and stopped by to check on us and to ensure we were enjoying our visit. I should be coming back to Orlando to visit the parks soon in April and I will definitely be coming back here to eat and I will be asking for Christine! 😁 it’s hard to find great customer service nowadays, so when I come across it, I will make sure to always leave a review. Keep up the good work Christine!

While visiting UO this week we decided to try VIVO for the first time. The quality of food was phenomenal! We ordered the meatball as an appetizer and then the squid ink pasta & chicken ravioli as entrees. Beyond the food & ambience we had the utmost pleasure of dining with Christine as our server. She went above & beyond to make our time there enjoyable and then took extra time to connect with us personally. We left that evening with not only a wonderful meal & experience, but a new friend! We can’t wait to return and bring our loved ones with us!

The best food I've had in City Walk. Steak was phenomenal, cooked to perfection with lovely potatoes and a fresh arugula salad. Server was happy to change pasta to spaghetti for the meatballs rather than the menu option. Pasta fresh made.

Celebrated our 31st with dinner here. Christine was an amazing server. From her recommendations, to her absolutely effervescent personality, she was the icing on a delicious and extremely satisfying meal. Planning to return tomorrow to try something else on the menu, as tonight's meal was amazing.

$95 = 2 people order an App, entree and dessert . The service was phenomenal from the second we checked in at the host stand . We walked in ,no reservation at 4:00pm on a Saturday . We chose to sit at the bar and lucky for us we had the best experience thanks to Germany . He was very friendly , approachable , knowledgeable ,attentive and very professional . The ambiance felt high end with reasonable pricing . The decor and music all came together nicely ,it made us forget we were at an amusement park . Not only was Germany very kind but also the other staff members seemed organized and happy to be there . I definitely recommend to anyone whether you visited the parks or just live near the area . Food : my boyfriend got the squid ink pasta it was good , spicy and traditional flavor . Interesting to look at ! The minestrone soup SO GOOD . Cooked perfect great thickness , every veggie comes together to contribute to the flavor . Chicken Alfredo was delicious and safe option for picky eaters or kids

Top notch dining experience! The food was prepared to perfection and I actually watched the chefs prepare my meal...excellent. The staff were very professional and attentive...and very friendly. The atmosphere made the experience even move enjoyable...everthing during this visit was just right...thank you! Highly recommend you give them a try when visiting Universal City Walk and parks!

Daniel was an amazing bartender and waiter. We sat at the bar and he gave us recommendations on food and drinks. 10/10 recommend the chicken picatta, and squid ink seafood. If you like bourbon and take it neat, the Barrel Aged Old Fashion is money. Sarah, was also working the bar and I would like to thank her for going out of her way to ask around and get an answer that I asked. Great food, great atmosphere! We look forward to coming back!

The best meal we've had on our Universal Studios vacation yet! The bread and pasta are made fresh everyday and you can taste it. My 15 yo said the 4 cheese pizza was the best she'd ever had. The Sausage Ragu was amazing! I've never tasted such tender and delicious penne as this. The portions we're not too big and not too small. And the desserts were a perfect end to the meal. Our server was excellent... He knew when to help and when to let us enjoy our food without interruption. We will return for sure!!

My favorite restaurant at Universal so far! We had a cozy round table with a booth, complimentary bread, timely, and friendly service. The chicken ravioli and gnocchi were wonderful and I look forward to going back. Save room for dessert!! The only downfall was right behind us was a high top table for two. It was empty for most of our dining experience, but once a couple was sat there, they were basically talking right into my ears and could hear their conversation clearly.

We recently visited Vivo Italian Kitchen at CityWalk Universal Studios and had a great experience overall! We booked our reservation online, but when we arrived, we had to “check in” and wait for our table, which seemed a bit odd. It felt like having a reservation should mean the table is ready, but the wait wasn’t too long. We were seated at the chef’s table, which wasn’t something we selected or expected. While it worked well for our small group (2 adults and a child), I could see it being less ideal for larger groups as it’s belly-up style seating that makes group interaction a bit tricky. That said, we really enjoyed watching the food being prepped and trying to guess the dishes as they came out—it added a fun element to our meal. The restaurant itself was beautiful and smelled amazing! It is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and service made it worth it. Our waiter was fantastic—super attentive and helpful with recommendations. My son loved his wood-fired pepperoni pizza, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. I ordered a chocolate martini, and it was made to perfection! I’d recommend saving it for after dinner, though, as it felt more like a dessert drink. For appetizers, we had the calamari and classic Caprese—both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you’d hope for. My partner ordered the Alfredo with shrimp, which was rich, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying. Our waiter mentioned they’d recently changed the recipe to include more cheese, and it definitely delivered! I tried the Cappelletti, which wasn’t my favorite—it had a strong garlic aftertaste that didn’t work for me, but our waiter had given me a heads-up about that dish beforehand. Overall, we had a really good experience. The ambiance, service, and most of the dishes we tried were excellent. I’d definitely recommend Vivo Italian Kitchen, especially if you’re looking for a nice sit-down meal at CityWalk. Just keep the chef’s table in mind when booking if you’re with a larger group.

We dined here and had exceptional customer service experience. Our waitress, Emry, was consistently attentive to us through our meal, and she also offered great wine recommendations. We ordered the meatballs, ricotta, chicken parm and chicken ricotta- everything was amazing with fair and reasonable prices. Can't wait to come back and try some more wine!

We wanted to try some in the City Walk area that seemed unique and I must say that VIVO was truly amazing! The food was excellent. We split the Beef Carpaccio, which went perfect with the super thick cut bread you get as a starter. My wife had the Squid Ink Seafood pasta, and I had the Salmon dinner and I added shrimp to it. The service was also phenomenal. We had jokes, talked about our home towns, and just really really enjoyed ourselves. I can't recommend this place enough!!!

This restaurant was incredible. Food and atmosphere are awesome. But what made our visit stellar was Christine, our server. She was knowledgeable, patient, efficient, warm, and professional. Everything she recommended was perfect: appetite, main course, desert and wine. Perfectly perfect. She was stellar. We look forward to coming back.

This was our first time to eat at Vivo in Orlando. We had the Fried Ricotta and the Sausage Ragu. Both excellent. They bring you a loaf of bread with oil for a starter. We really like the flavor of the sauce. My husband is Italian, and if he likes it, it must be pretty good! We will go back again!

Wonderful! I was ready for a change from hamburgers and hotdogs. Vivo did not disappoint. The smell of garlic in the air was intoxicating. Matthew was a fantastic server. His recommendations were spot on. The fried ricotta was so decadent! The truffle, mushroom pizza was fantastic. Squid ink pasta was overly abundant on fresh tasting seafood. I was so pleased for such a wonderful sit down after 16,000 steps, lol. See you again next year!.

VIVO – While there is a lot of fast food options at City Walk at Universal City in Los Angeles, we opted for a sit down location. Vivo stood out and I’m glad it did. I wouldn’t expect such great food at a place like this but boy was I wrong. The food was excellent. I don’t usually order past but I had a craving and this was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The ambiance is casual but the food was top notch. Even the gluten free pasta was excellent. The service from Karen was also outstanding. I would definitely go back.

I brought a party of 34 people to the restaurant with 3 hrs. notice and they had our tables ready and waiting even though we were a few minutes late. The servers Heather & Gio gave us great service and split the checks between 10 families even though we sat separately from our kids. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I have been here a few times before and it has never disappointed. We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation due to traffic getting into the Universal parking garage. We arrived at the restaurant and the host and hostess were very friendly and understanding and seated us within a few minutes. Our waitress, Christine, was great! Her wine recommendation was great. Vivo is one of the best in the whole UO Resort!

L

Spectacular place! I was hesitant at first about going here because there was only a 4.2. I'm not sure if they ate at the same restaurant. Everything was spot on and I am picky when it comes to good Italian food. They welcome each table with warm, delicious bread and a nice wine menu. We started with some crispy, yet perfectly cooked calamari. It's difficult to nail down how to make calamari this perfect. I had the chicken ravioli with a pine nut, sundried tomato, and pesto sauce. It was really good, I liked the combination of flavors in the sauce. My son got the ravioli, and he cleaned his plate. Our friend had the pizza and said it was some of the best he's had. My hubby got the best dish of the night--the seafood and squid ink pasta I wasn't sure if the dish would be too "fishy" for me and it was absolutely delicious! I definitely had plate envy for sure. Sorry I didn't get enough pictures because the food suddenly disappeared from everyone's plates before I could snap one. Yeah it's that good. Don't listen to the bad reviews; try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

Came here for my friend's birthday dinner. Booked a reservation a week prior. Had to wait for parking to be free at 6 for City Walk. I had to call universal dining reservations to get a 6:15 and luckily we made it by 6:20. We sat at a nice table and the server was able to hold our cake for us in a cooler while we ate dinner. I had steak, mashed potatoes and gluten free pasta. My friend had Veal and pasta. The service was great. They even had gluten free bread. I loved being able to see the kitchen. The restrooms were nice and clean also. It wasn't super busy for a Friday but still busy enough. We only waited maybe an extra 10 minutes upon arrival. I loved they had gluten free options for me. I had my steak rare and it was amazing. I sang a quick happy birthday to my friend since they didn't do a song at the restaurant itself.

My family had an incredible dining experience at VIVO Italian Kitchen, and we're thrilled to share our review. We were fortunate to receive exceptional service from Christine S., which made our visit truly memorable. As residents of the Emerald Coast of Florida, we're accustomed to the finest seafood, so it was a pleasant surprise to discover a restaurant on Universal Studios property offering large portions, fresh made-to-order food, and the freshest seafood right on City Walk. During our vacation with my family, I felt compelled to write this review to spread the good news. Our little boy dreams of moving to Italy, so you can imagine his delight when he had the opportunity to converse with Christine in Italian! Every dish we ordered was expertly prepared, and we were promptly seated with a lovely window view. Despite our tight schedule for Halloween Horror Nights, Christine went the extra mile to ensure we left on time. The scratch-made sauces and the personal treatment we received truly made us feel like part of the VIVO family, not just tourists. We can't wait to return!

Our server, Daniel, was so attentive and accommodating! I'm not a fan of onions (it's a texture thing, not an allergy) and he made sure that the dish (gnocchi) I was interested in could omit them! He was super informed about the menu and the chefs were also accommodating! Overall our experience was fantastic.

Great experience. Lots of food served. Alfredo is tasty and amazing. Margherita Pizza and Chicken Ravioli was also great. Additionally, the Eggplant Alla Norma was bountiful. As for desserts, The Blueberry Cheesecake is a tube like cream cheese with blueberry compote with a side of circle cracker design.

Christine, our server & David, the manager - Thank you!! 🤍 We were leaving a Hard Rock Live show and none of the City Walk restaurants were taking walk ins, but David was willing to squeeze our party of 2 in at the last second. Thanks to his accommodation & Christine’s excellent attention, our dinner was wonderful. Per Christine’s recommendation, we had the antipasto (charcuterie board), trottole, and squid ink pasta - everything was absolutely delicious! Portions were good, food was warm when it arrived, leftovers will be excellent lunches tomorrow lol. We had a great time laughing and chatting with Christine, will definitely be coming back!

Fast service. Amazing food, best truffle pizza we've ever had. Best calamari we've ever had. Chicken Marsala was the best we've ever had and the seafood dish was also amazing. Oh and the bread is fantastic! Went to hard rock tonight and wished we had gone to Vivo again.

We came in last night for dinner and had Giovanna as our waitress. She was amazing, she gave us great service and recommended an amazing white wine for my husband. The food was fantastic, and I overestimated my ability to consume it all. We had the truffle burrata salad, mushroom and truffle pizza, and chicken Alfredo. Pictures for reference, dug in before remembering to snap pics lol. It was all so incredible. Thank you Giovanna for your amazing service:)

Had a dinner for two and our server (Tommy) was absolutely astonishing with service. I’ve never had a server actually talk with us and break down what everything is in such easy to understand detail. Not only that he knows everything about the wine and alcohol on the menu and that’s not even talking about his knowledge on how everything is created. Basically in short he deserves a raise and he also needs to be a drink creative or something. The atmosphere was amazing too not just the service. Not too expensive and it feels like a really high end restaurant for the price. The sausage ragu is a must try and if you get Tommy as your server have him explain everything about this dish since it’s his favorite. TLDR Go here for an amazing experience and specifically ask for Tommy to be your server. Make sure to tip him well:)

When we first entered the restaurant the hostes told us that we were in for a treat and he was not wrong. The restaurant and beautifully decorated and the staff is above and beyond friendly. Christine was our server and she was AMAZING!!! Her stellar service created a wonderful experience for me and my family. The food was exquisite. We will definitely be back to Universal just to visit this restaurant again. The restaurant is in the boardwalk and parking is free after 6pm, so you can come and enjoy the restaurant. Enjoy!

Hannah was our server, she was awesome! She had great recommendations, she was fast & on top of everything! Everyone we encountered were great & seemed happy to be there, which was refreshing. I admired the kitchen and being able to see these awesome dishes being made. We came in on a busy night, family of 5 (including a toddler & 7 year old) & were not disappointed at all. Definitely recommend & will be returning in the future!

We enjoyed the food and service at Vivo. This is located in CityWalk. The food came out really fast which we appreciated. Menu is reasonably priced especially being located at Universal CityWalk. We all ordered pasta dishes and like the homemade pasta. They came out hot and were offered shaved Parmesan cheese. Out of the four, the sausage ragu and Linguine and Clams were my favorites. They have a decent cocktail menu as well. Highly recommend making reservations here.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! Our waiter, Alex S., was incredible—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He took the time to walk us through the menu, offered wine samples to help us find the perfect match, and made thoughtful recommendations to ensure we got the best experience. His honesty and expertise truly stood out, and he made our meal even more enjoyable with his warm personality and great sense of humor. I even made sure to let the supervisor know how amazing he was! Oh, and the food? Incredible! The chicken alfredo pasta was fresh and creamy, the meatball was packed with flavor, the chicken parm had the perfect smoky crispiness, and the fried ricotta was light and absolutely delicious. I’m already looking forward to coming back—and telling all my friends about it!

Highly recommend the panna cotta for dessert

Vivo is an absolute gem for anyone who loves great Italian food. Every dish we tried was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavor. One of the highlights of the experience is being able to actually see the chefs preparing your meal. Watching them work so seamlessly together, completely in sync, adds an extra level of appreciation for the care and skill that goes into every plate. The cocktails were equally impressive—creative, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the meal. What truly sets Vivo apart, though, is the outstanding customer service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. It was especially refreshing to see the manager actively involved on the floor, checking in with guests and supporting the team. That hands-on approach really shows and speaks volumes about the care and pride behind the restaurant. Overall, Vivo delivers on every level: food, drinks, and service. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to return.

Posting review late, we visited here on September 19, 2023 Highly recommend this place, especially if you love Italian food! Great atmosphere, the restaurant is laid out very well and the decor is amazing! I love the open style kitchens where you can actually see the chefs cooking! The service was good too! Definitely recommend making reservations though, this place gets very busy very quickly! Everything was reasonably priced and the food was amazing! Proper portion sizes too so you don't feel overwhelmed. Restrooms were very clean and organized (if that's something you pay attention to). The menu has a lot to offer which is great if you have picky eaters in your group. Overall, very satisfied with this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back!

This place seems to be highly coveted. Thankfully, we made a reservation days in advance. The atmosphere was pretty laid back no dress shirt or jacket required. (Usually food at this price point does). Our waiter was very attentive and offered some great selections. We ended up having the fried calamari, short ribs with risotto, lasagna and NY strip steak. Our food took a little bit long to receive but thankfully we weren't in a rush. I would recommend this place just make sure to call ahead. It seems like you'd really take a risk if you want to spontaneously show up and hope to be seated.👍🏼

I decided to re write my review. I am a local and annual pass holder. I’ve been to every restaurant at City Walk. After revisiting this place I have to say this is probably my favorite place at city walk. The food is always good and they offer decent portions. Our server Germany was amazing as well. I think this will be my go to place especially if I am in the mood for Italian when I am at City Walk.

Food is always good! Fried Risotto, Lasagna, Spaghetti, and Picata are all fantastic! Every time we’ve been here; our servers have been fantastic. Ermy was a step above as well! Also made my sister’s and my bro-in-law’s birthday special!

Their gnocchi was genuinely the best I've ever had, it doesn't stick to the roof of your mouth, the sauce is perfect, the portion size is wonderful and doesn't leave you wanting. The fried ricotta was refreshing and held us over (genuinely I'd say I feel my boyfriend and I left stuffed just by sharing the fried ricotta and a pasta dish each). My boyfriend loved the chicken alfredo, too. Their cocktails were very refreshing, I had the Fragola Fresca and my boyfriend had the R&R which is apparently only here for veterans' month. Its a little on the pricier side but actually worth it in my opinion, which is not something I'd say about most restaurants in these tourist spots. Plenty of vegetarian options, too.

If you’re looking for a beat dinner spot to try a decent Italian food at the city walk. This is definitely must try. Food is on the costlier side but has the quality and service attached. Need a pre booking, if not 60min wait at peak time. Services are awesome addressing allergy concerns. Breads are fresh made. All in all, great place to try once.

Yummy food. They waiter Sheree was soo nice. The service was quick and they bread was so good, so good that we took some of it home for later. I definitely will come back when in town.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of celebrating Father’s Day at Vivo Italian Kitchen in Universal Orlando’s CityWalk. From the moment we were seated (only about 5 min wait with a reservation), the atmosphere was warm, the staff was inviting, and the decor did not disappoint. All of these factors set the tone for a great dinner. Our server, Maribelis, welcomed us with sour bread paired with balsamic vinaigrette. This was actually one of the softest breads that I've tasted. I have to provide fair warning that this bread is dangerously delicious. It's the kind of bread that you can eat non-stop and not have one thought about your caloric intake...dangerously delicious!!! For appetizers, we chose the Fried Ricotta and Meatballs. Both dishes were really good and beautifully presented. For the main entree, we had the Lasagna and the Margherita Pizza. A special shoutout to Sophia, who graciously offered to sprinkle Parmesan cheese over our dishes. Who would have known that a little extra Parmesan cheese would add to the flavors the way it did?!?! Throughout our dinner, Maribelis consistently checked in with us to make sure we were ok, the food tasted good, and if we needed anything. Vivo Italian Kitchen exceeded our expectations not just with the food but with the thoughtfulness of the staff and the relaxing ambiance. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you love Italian food. In conclusion, I can't say enough about how helpful Maribelis was throughout our meal. Even though she was working double duty at the bar, Maribelis made us feel right at home.

My husband and I went here for dinner last weekend while visiting universal. We had a fantastic meal and the service was even better. Our waitress Christine was amazing, she was fast, friendly and had great conversations with us about Orlando. We would go there again in a heartbeat. The prices were reasonable and the food was amazing. Definitely a great restaurant for a date night. With the way Christine treated us, you would have thought we had known her for years and not just met her, she provided a very welcoming atmosphere

We had dinner at VIVO Italian Kitchen located at Universal Studios Citywalk. They started off by bringing freshly baked bread. The food was delicious. We had the squid ink pasta, chicken Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs and the kid pepperoni wood fired pizza. It had a very nice atmosphere for a great meal.

The food here was amazing but the service was the star of the show. Our waiter was friendly, bubbly and super interactive. He was awesome, made us feel like family and really made our time special! I cannot recommend this place enough, we had such a spectacular time!

Have dined at CityWalk several times but this was my first time at Vivo, and I’m a fan. From the moment we arrived for our reservation the staff was wonderful. Our server was Christine and she made me feel like a VIP. Forget all your fatigue of the parks. She made sure our fresh bread was straight out of the oven and it kept coming. She was quick to answer questions about dishes and guided us towards items we wanted (traveling with picky eaters). Food was hot and delicious. Pasta made in house and was abundant—we all took half our meals home. I enjoyed a pasta dish with sausage, a friend had the lasagna, one of the girls had a pizza which looked amazing, and the other girls had pasta Alfredo, one with chicken, one without. This did not feel like theme park dining but more high end, though the prices were reasonable and the food portions generous. I look forward to dining there again, and will definitely ask for Christine.

One of the nicest restaurants at the City Walk. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a clean and open feel. Service is friendly and prompt. Easy to talk with just moderate noise. Comfortable and casual but with up scale dining choices and prices. The bread is served warm and it's delightful. The linguini pasta and Chicken Parm were both cooked well. The seafood dish with black pasta was a little rubbery and chewy. Full bar and decent wine list. They are able to accommodate parties of all sizes. Didn't see many children in this restaurant. Definitely recommend reservations, but they are able to be made the same day in most instances.

If you like Italian food near Universal Parks this is a good place to, food is well seasoned, presentation is ok nothing fancy. Prices are reasonable better than others out there. You are served a baked in house bread to begin, real good if you are into carbs. lol. Service is good , friendly faces and attention is mid. All in all, not terrible ,food is passable after a long day at the parks. FYI, pasta is also freshly made. Make reservations!!

We have visited Vivos a handful of times and always enjoy our meals here. The staff are always very nice and the restaurant is relaxing and cozy. We usually stick to the same foods every time, but have tried several things in the menu. After a day at the parks it’s one of my favorite sit down meals. That being said I gave 4 stars only because it’s not completely authentic, but it’s close enough and taste good.

We were expecting more, the reviews really sung high praises. However this still felt like a conveyer belt restaurant sadly. The server was very polite and professional. The venue was ok, the chairs weren't comfortable and weirdly high for the tables. The food was ok. The starters were better than the mains. The pizza's were a bit doughy for me, with a strong tomato base sauce, it dominated the cheese taste too much for what we like. And they were too sloppy for us. Was a bit pricey for the meal. I wouldn't eat here again sadly.

Had dinner there last week, and had a pretty good dinning experience. We sat at the bar, and both bartenders were really cool with great service. The food was really good, and we'll priced.

Yummy food depending on what you order in a pleasant atmosphere along the citywalk. I was craving pasta so made a reservation here. I didn’t take many photos unfortunately but here’s some notes. Service: I wasn’t super impressed based on what other reviews shared but it wasn’t bad. I thought it was average to good. Bread: was warm which was nice but not flavorful Pasta e fagioli: flavorful but extremely thick. Thicker than any consistency I’ve had for this type of soup. It was like the beans were blended or overcooked to make more of a sauce than soup. I wouldn’t order this again. Chicken piccata: this was very yummy and the chicken was cooked great! Flavorful breading and sauce. I would order this again but sub angel hair for the linguini. Cappelletti: my husband ordered this and liked the warm spice level. The sauce however was meh - didn’t taste different than what you would get jarred from a grocery store. He said he would order something else if he were to come back. Cocktails: I had The Local cocktail and thought it was good (I like sweet cocktails). The strawberry jam didn’t come through much but the lime did and I liked it. My husband ordered the Barrel Aged which came with an orange peel studded with clove. It did not come with a Luxardo-related cherry. We both liked our cocktails.

Here Christmas Day and we had a wonderful experience. LOVED the bread and Caprese salad together. Loved it as the cheese was great quality and flavors were on point! Kids pizza was amazing and I will get pizza next time. The mushrooms were very flavorful Chicken parm was just okay for me. My husband did love it though …I had a dry cutlet and it just wasn’t as flavorful as everything else we had. He got the piccata and it was really good. So flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly.. the right amount of capers which is awesome as a lot of other places overpower with them… very good dish.. I doubt you could go wrong here… service was great and with a soda and a glass of wine our bill was just under 100$. A very nice way to celebrate the day!

One of the best spots in Universal to get good food and great service. We came down for the weekend to go to the Orlando Informer Event so we made reservations for the other nights. We actually got in from our flight a bit earlier than expected so we came by earlier than our reservations to see if we could eat earlier. I saw a long line and thought we'd absolutely still have to wait but to my surprise they checked us in and we walked maybe 20 feet away before we got a text stating our table was ready. We probably didn't have to wait as long because we said we'd be fine with an indoor high top area where I think a lot of people don't want because it's not as comfortable. We waited a bit for our waiter Kyle to come up and take our order. He was very personable, outgoing, and very good at giving food and drink suggestions. He made our experience here from 3 stars to 4 stars! The food was decent and my drink was very good. My salmon was a bit over cooked but of course the pasta in both of our dishes were cooked perfectly. The pana cotta was amazing! The only truly negative thing I'd really say was I think this place is a bit over priced for the quality of the food. Although this is Universal and that's the case for every restaurant here.

I really enjoyed dinner here. When you go inside the restaurant you wouldn’t know you’re at Universal Orlando Resort. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations for my wife and I. Our food came out pretty quickly. Everything looked good and tasted great! Portions were large enough to have leftovers. This was a great experience!

So there are many things about this restaurant that make it good, but also keep it from 5 stars. Let me start with this, the food is good. There is a full bar so the alcohol is good too. Though it maybe I little pricey (like everything else at Universal {still cheaper than Disney}), the short rib is really good. Everything came out excellent but late. Our food took 43min to get to us. Our waitress is stretched thin. Too many customers and not enough waiters. She came very few times to our table. The Google menu also needs updating. The meals here are around $20 - $25, but can also surpass $30. Not bad but not great either. After that however, I will say come here for Italian food fix. The atmosphere and decor is very nice, though the set up and design of the restaurant is similar to others at universal. Proportion sides are decent too. Not very large but not even close to being small either. I will recommend this if you want Italian.

Loved our waiter, Matthew, he was fantastic. Also loved the ambiance. I removed a star because the Bolognese was just a meat sauce that reminded me of Preggo- not a lot of flavor. The fresh bread was fantastic and my friend loved her chicken Alfredo.

Quick seating to table service. This location offers fresh bread service and its served hot! You'll need to ask for butter, if not it's the table Olive oil for your bread dip. We ordered the Gnocchi and the Grilled Chicken Parmesan. While the sauces are pre made, the food is made to order and served hot.. The quality of food preparation is appreciated. Its fresh parmesan cheese, grated at your table. The food was delectable and you won't be disappointed. .

The food here was delicious. I ordered the trottole and my partner ordered the gnocchi. The sauce of the gnocchi was unbelievable! The trottole was delicious but way too spicy for my liking. The bread served at the beginning was also phenomenal. To top it off, our waitress was so nice! Amazing service. I recommend this restaurant if you’re planning a Universal trip!

After coming here a few months ago and having an amazing experience, we were excited to return to Vivo on our recent trip to Florida. The first time, the food was hot, flavorful, and everything was perfect. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. We were given a small piece of room-temperature bread with nothing to dip it in, while other tables received better service. Our server was very inattentive, and we waited over 30 minutes for food that arrived only warm. The Caesar salad was overpriced and bland. The chicken ravioli was just okay not well seasoned and barely warm. The other pasta was very bland. The restaurant is beautiful inside, but the drop in food quality and service made this visit feel like a waste of money and left me questioning whether I’d return again.

It was a nice late-night visit to CityWalk after a day at Universal Studios. We ordered the meatballs, caprese, and a seafood pasta. The complimentary bread was soft but cold, and it didn’t pair very well with the olive oil. The meatballs were a bit dry, though they were clearly freshly cooked and served. You can’t really go wrong with the caprese, but I did wish there was a bit more balsamic glaze to balance the arugula. The seafood pasta was generously loaded with seafood; however, the noodles seemed overcooked and broke apart easily when lifted. Aside from those points, the atmosphere was enjoyable and the server was very nice, which made the overall experience pleasant

C

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the food was disappointing. I initially ordered the squid ink seafood pasta and had to send it back because it lacked flavor - the seafood itself was the best part, but the dish overall was very bland. I then ordered the chicken alfredo, which was better than the first dish but still pretty mid. I found myself having to add salt to almost every bite to get any real flavor. Honestly, the most enjoyable part of the meal was the salad. Between the bland food and the atmosphere, this wasn't what I expected. I don't think I'd return, especially given the price point and expectations for Italian food.

We came to celebrate my cousin’s birthday Saturday night. Beautiful restaurant, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, very clean establishments with an open kitchen which I love. Our table was a little bit uncomfortable cause they had put to tables together very uneven. Our waiter Brayde W did awesome thank you for the cake and the writing you did for my cousin we loved the heart! When it came to the drinks and food it was like 50/50 some were great some not so good, the white sangria was delicious, the amalfi coast martini was awful so bitter but if you like limoncello than that would be the drink for you I personally did not liked it, the aperol spritz was very good to very balanced drink. The rombaur Chardonnay was buttery and so delicious, the bollini Pinot Grigio was okay nothing to different. The bread was warm and the oil was outstanding full of flavors. The chicken Alfredo was creamy with a garlic taste a super rich sauce very flavorful the chicken was juicy and very tasty, the cappelletti was awful bland no taste at all the sauce was watery just no flavor at all, the gnocchi were warm very tasty with a creamy pesto sauce so rich in flavor so tasty I wanted more, the ossobuco the meat was tender fell out of the bone and seasoned to perfection, but the polenta was dried , the vegetables were really good I wish they just had a little bit more of the wine glaze, desserts were amazing tiramisu was sweet creamy just mouthwatering delicious, the semi Freddo was good not to sweet very balanced flavors that work perfectly together. Overall it was a good night I think some dishes need some improvement!

My friends, husband and I came here after a day in the park for our birthdays (yes all 3 of us same day lol) and we made a reservation. The host and hostess were very nice, and so was our waiter (Dan or Don I could not read the name tag very well sorry). They accommodated us with a high chair for my friend’s child as well, and allowed them to park the stroller inside because there was room, which was nice. The food really needs work. I’d say for them to charge this much and make it seem like it’s fine dining is unrealistic. I do expect to pay a lot for food in the parks regardless so I wasn’t upset about that. Here’s a list of things we felt about the food: The portions were large The pasta was tasty and the sauce was pretty good. The chicken in the Alfredo was literally so bland they couldn’t eat it. The lasagna was flavorful The meatballs/ ground meat in the lasagna was made well and tasty. The pizza I had was doughy, bland, and dry. I got the truffle and mushroom pizza. The desserts were okay: the flourless chocolate cake was bitter due to the dark chocolate and needed more sweet balance or something. The tiramisu was good, but very mushy and a little bland as well, but the cream filling was good! Overall the service was great and they gave us desserts on the house which we greatly appreciated, but we will not be coming back here because of the lack of flavor in the food.

Just ate here this last week while on vacation. I have been eating here for years would have given it a 5 star rating every time...but this last trip missed the mark on everything. Server was super nice and was trying....but -The app we ordered came out room temp(WAS BREAD) -Ordered 2 pasta dishes which came out pretty dry and also took 50 mins to get.(Meatballs super dry and my lasagna was a bit hard on the outside) -Mocktail my son ordered was undrinkable so they gave us another one(They took it off bill)- - took forever too get any refills on tea or water. Eating a below average meal on vacay stinks...

This has been one of our favorite restaurants at City Walk and Universal. We visited last night and it was a HUGE disappointment. While the calamari was great as usual, the cappelletti (my favorite in the past due to the sauce) was recently changed to a primavera which I didn’t want, so I tried the spaghetti and meatballs. I took a bite of the pasta and it was so mushy like it had been sitting in water all day, and the sauce was not very good. No flavor and way too thick. We sent it back and heard we weren’t the first to do that with that dish during the night, so clearly there is a problem there. And finally, one of the things we always looked forward to at this restaurant was their amazing bread. Well, unfortunately some brilliant general manager decided to do away with the bread and now charge $11 for bread. I’m sorry, but every Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to puts bread on the table. Whoever made this decision needs to be fired immediately. And the manager told us that there were a lot of complaints other than ours about this change. Sadly, places like Disney and Universal have most of their guests be one and done, so they really don’t care when they lower the quality, as most never notice. Again, this used to be one of our favorites, but now we won’t be back. There are TONS of restaurants within 2 miles of City Walk so luckily we have many other options to spend our money for a good meal. Universal needs to stop hiring the bean counters from Disney. Stop trying to Disney our Universal!

No parece hecha a mano.

The wait was 30 minutes, then the waiter took 15 minutes to take the order , then 45 to get food. I would have given this place 2 more stars if the food had been even somewhat good, but it WASN'T! 2 of our 3 dishes were room temperature if not cold, and the shrimp on my Alfredo wasn't done, and the sauce was incredibly bland. Bolognese was the only decent thing. The waiter was nice but absolutely not worth $130 for less than average food.

J
Jaimi Lowe

Oh corporate, you are so misguided. Do you really think trying to go cheap is going to work out for you? We are annual pass holders and Vivo has been our favorite on CityWalk for years. Not anymore! The new ‘streamlined’ menu? A joke. All the good stuff is gone. No more truffle burrata, no more eggplant parm… Once delicious fresh sourdough bread is now Sam’s Club $2 white bread warmed up. I ordered chicken Marsala with broccoli instead of pasta. The runner brings my dish with pasta and I politely tell her I ordered broccoli instead and she walks away. I then tell my server and the broccoli comes 10 minutes later and is not good. This is now just a place where we used to go. Depressing, so many good memories here, ruined by the need to boost the almighty bottom line and cheap out on ingredients and, apparently, service.

This was our third time dining here, and the food has always been excellent, which is why we brought our parents while they were in town. The food itself did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the service did. The restaurant seemed overextended, resulting in long waits to order, no drink refills, and an overwhelmed server, despite her being kind and pleasant. We were also seated directly in line with the front door on a 39 degree night. Each time the door opened, cold air blew over our table. We were dining with our six-month-old baby, and it quickly became uncomfortable. The restaurant was only about 30% full when we arrived around 10 p.m., with many open tables. After asking twice to move tables, a supervisor named Logan told us we could not move because we had already “started our course,” even though we had only received drinks and complimentary bread. The response felt dismissive and unnecessary given the circumstances. At this price point, we did not expect to be cold and uncomfortable when other tables were available. The food remains great, but this experience was disappointing and avoidable.

C
CarDealGuy Jax

The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was good when present but they disappeared for elongated periods of time. Now when you present yourself as a premium dining experience your food should represent it. The meatballs appetizer came out cold. The Ceasar Salad was good but not for the price, The Alfredo with grilled chicken was surprisingly bland, the pizza was solid but once again not worth the price. Other than a relaxing atmosphere a complete disappointment. Food quality and flavor did not warrant the premium price charged.

I’m specifically rating the Blueberry cheesecake. I ordered it to go so I didn’t taste it before I left the restaurant. It was in a roll shape which I didn’t mind but when I got home to eat it and stuck my spoon into it had the texture of ice cream. It quite literally was melting and it wasn’t even hot outside or inside of my car so I knew it wasn’t because of that. Secondly, it doesn’t even TASTE like cheesecake. It tasted like a cheesy vanilla ice cream. Is this how cheesecake is supposed to be because last time I checked it’s supposed to be more cake-like and not ice cream- like so clearly something is wrong. Maybe advertise it as ice cream because that’s basically what it is. Thank you!

Today was my families (3 people) first time ever coming to this establishment, definitely is also our last time. To start off, the initial hostess was rude and ignoring us, we stopped in front of her unsure what to do hoping she'd talk to us and she acted as if we weren't there. Inside the next host who took us to our table was fine, not necessarily polite but got us to our table. We were one of the first tables in the restaurant and it was not busy at all, yet every table around us that came in later than us got their food before us, disappointing. Most importantly the food. One word. UNPALATABLE. One of our dishes was undercooked and the other was overcooked??!?!? Hello!! isn't this supposed to be a nice restaurant???? Food was also disgustingly bland and extremely below my expectations. For a couple hundred dollars you and your group can get, terrible service, even worse food, AND the feeling of somebody gnawing at your stomach!!

The food was good, but the service was extremely disappointing. When I first arrived, I was told there would be a 40-minute wait. I had a reservation, so I left and returned as instructed, only to be told there was still a wait. After sitting for another 30 minutes, I noticed multiple parties being seated who had reservations after mine. When I asked about this, I was told, “It’s Christmas, you just need to wait until I call your name.” I explained that this was unacceptable and that I expected to be seated according to my reservation. When we were finally taken to our table—over an hour after our reservation time—I could clearly see several empty tables, which made the delay even more confusing. Once seated, we waited an additional 30 minutes before our server, Markell, came over to take our drink order. Bread was never brought to the table. I mentioned that we were celebrating my 13-year-old son’s birthday, but this was barely acknowledged. Our entrées sat for an extended period before being delivered. When I asked another staff member if she could remove our finished appetizer plates, she responded without a smile, “No, you’ll have to get your waiter to do that,” and walked away. Markell never refilled our drinks and only returned at the end of the meal to abruptly place two glasses of lemonade on the table before leaving again, without clearing any dishes. He never checked on our food or asked if we needed anything. I had to call him over multiple times for assistance. After waiting over an hour past our reservation just to be seated and then experiencing such inattentive service, this was far from the experience I expected. My son specifically asked to celebrate his birthday at an Italian restaurant, and I was extremely disappointed in how this visit unfolded.

We came in on the evening of the 25th around 9 PM and placed a to-go order while sitting at the bar (party of two). The place wasn’t very busy, yet it took a long time before anyone even acknowledged us. The biggest issue was that our order was incorrect. We ordered a seafood pasta, an Alfredo pasta, mussels, and calamari. The calamari was completely missing, but instead we received bread that we never asked for. We also waited quite a while for the food, which would have been understandable if the quality had been decent — unfortunately, it wasn’t. The food was extremely bad. There were some aggressive, burning spices that made the dishes nearly impossible to eat. Not just “a little spicy,” but overwhelmingly hot for no reason. There was honestly nothing enjoyable about the meal. The Alfredo pasta was especially disappointing — overcooked, stuck together, and just unpleasant overall. This experience was very frustrating, and for the price and expectations, it was a huge letdown. Definitely not coming back.

Last night, while we are on our honeymoon, we tried to have dinner at this restaurant, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, we asked for a table inside, as we did not want to sit outside. Upon entering, we clearly saw several corner tables available, at least three or four, as well as one table located in the middle of other tables. That middle table is the one we were directed to. We politely asked if we could move to one of the corner tables. A staff member, a man wearing glasses who was also working at the reception, responded very rudely. He told us that all the other tables were reserved and that only the table he pointed to was available. This was around 09:00 PM. We then asked if we could wait for another table to become available, but he refused and said that no other table would be offered to us that night. His attitude made it very clear that our presence was not welcome. Because of the extremely poor service and unwelcoming behavior, we decided to leave and did not have dinner there. It is especially disappointing since we are celebrating our honeymoon, and we truly liked the menu. It was exactly what we were looking for that evening. Unfortunately, good food does not make up for bad service. Very disappointing experience.

We placed our order with the waiter at first. He was pleasant and nice at first. We ordered a pizza and the chicken parm to share. After we placed our order, never saw the waiter again to check on us until it was time to pay for the bill. We took one bite of our pizza, it was raw and uncooked. The pasta we ordered was incorrect. My wife told the waiter the pizza was uncooked and he pretended like he didn't hear her. They charged us full price. We have been to Vivo before and it was fine but this was it.
