Has that real authentic mexican food that is hard to find in the city. Its not some $15 for 2 tiny taco kind of place. Got the queso birria tacos and it was pretty amazing. Definitely cheesy and a bit greasy but the birria dip was awesome. Next time ill probably get a burrito but worth trying the birria Atmosphere is good i like having the grill right in front, but definitely not upscale or anything. I like holes in the wall places
Love, Love Pancho's. Zero pretentiousness, friendly staff. The star of the show is the food. Every dish is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that burst with flavor in every bite. I particularly love the overstuffed tacos, which are filled with generously portioned meats that are perfectly seasoned. And if you're in the mood for something a little more substantial, the entrees are just as delicious. And the prices are more than fair for the quality of the food you're getting, especially when compared to some of the overpriced chains in the area.
The chicken taco was so good that I came back the next day and had an al pastor and chicken taco. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, fantastic food. If I get the joy of staying in this area again, I'll be back 😊
Excellent food and great service

Top notch mexican breakfast. Highly recommend it. Vegetarian burrito and chorizo and Oaxaca cheese omelette were excellent. Omelet comes with a ration of potatoes and two slices of bread. Perfect to get some energy before exploring Harlem.
These are the BEST tacos in uptown IMO. I'm so glad I found this place! The hot sauce is amazing, and every taco is fantastic.
Authentic and delicious! Hailing from the Great State of Texas, we were concerned food here would not live up to expectations... we were happily proven wrong! The tacos al pastor were fresh, flavorful, and hearty. Cups of horchata were on point. The service was friendly and food arrived piping hot. Will definitely drop in again before leaving the city!
My lunch go-to place. Call ahead to have your order ready. The burritos are big and worth the $11. Trust me. You’ll get full and not finish it.
Best tortas I’ve ever had! Great service.. love this place!
Everything I've ever eaten from here tastes amazing and you can tell it was made with love, the customer service here is 2nd to none, so happy to have this restaurant in my neighborhood, we need more like it.
Pancho's is good. Their tortas are good, their burritos are good, their nachos are capital-G-Good, and Pancho himself is a charismatic prince of a man who deserves your taco dollars. Thank you, Pancho's.
The burritos were amazing and everyone was friendly. We had a really good time.
Great food for reasonable price. They have the best and the cheapest guacamole in the area! Friendly service
Delicious burritos. Columbia kids stop wasting your money at Chipotle and try something better while supporting a neighborhood spot.

Very good food for the price you pay. Get the tortillas with whatever you decide to order as they’re very good.

Got some breakfast here, very lively and cheap spot. Good food :)
Priced way less than Fonda Mexicana, 2 doors down, and the food quality is better IMHO. THE best tortas (Mexican sandwiches) of anywhere else in the city. My go-to Mexican fast food place.

For vibes and atmosphere and the energy and warm smile of the man behind the counter, it’s 5 stars. But the food — at least the night I went — was, quite simply, boring, bland, and basking in mediocrity. Every dish we ordered was clearly missing a healthy dosing of salt. The green hot sauce is tasty and definitely helped, but it lacks any real depth of flavor and is so thin & watery that it was easy to forget it was even there. The tortilla chips were delicious and hand-fried to order (these were unsalted, I prefer either orientation). But the rest of the meal tasted like nothing that I couldn’t make at home. At least I would remember to season my meal. I can’t speak to the authenticity of the food because I don’t know all the intricacies and intimacies of different styles of Mexican cooking and cuisine. But for my palette and for my money, I would much rather go somewhere — anywhere — else.
Think NYC diner with Mexican food options: American breakfast, burgers, salads, sandwiches pizza, gyro, Mexican omelets, tacos, burritos, torta, coffee, etc. My lengua torta ($11) was average in size and taste; meat was very tender. Dining partner’s taco was fresh tasting but not cheap at $4.50 for chicken. The 2 eggs with toast was over priced at $8.50 (should have been like $4-5). Due to hi cost/avg value, I doubt I would return with so many options in the neighborhood. Feb 2024

The Mexican food we got from here was subpar. The burrito was also tiny for $11? Rice and beans mediocre.. anyway, disagree with some other reviews. Perhaps tacos and burgers are there thing? Won’t be going back.
