My favorite place to eat! My kids and grandkids took me out for lunch June 10 2023 for my birthday. Was a very pleasant visit. Made my whole day better.
I love their chicken dishes here. Got a delicious Patron Margarita. You just can't go wrong. The service was perfect as always.
Really enjoy the bar atmosphere, try their stuff fried avocado with frosty tall mug modelo 2 👍. Service at the bar by the bartender was superb 👌.
Great location and great service. the fire alarm went off while we were finishing eating and it was rather annoying because nothing was being done to turn it off, or figure out if the whole restaurant needed to be evacuated.
Excellent... don't come here if like cheap quality Mexican food... this place has top quality ingredients in everything I have eaten there... and honestly the prices are not bad at all... Great atmosphere particularly during the weekend
Always seems to be Above my expectations. The waitresses always there to keep your drink full and to see how pleased you are with your food and service. The Manager gets around the restaurants as well. Great Job to all of the staff.
We finished work for the day, tired and hungry. Swung by The Plaza on our way to the hotel and were escorted straight to our table. Waitress took our drink orders. Drinks showed at our table quickly and our meal orders were taken. I had the shrimp enchilada plate topped with red sauce with beans and rice. It was hot, delicious, and hit the spot. Thumbs up to the Plaza staff.
I love the fresh salsa with large tomato chunks. Food is great and plentiful. Haven't had a bad thing yet. Family-friendly place to eat. Perfect and accommodating for large groups and parties. Clean restrooms.
My personal all time favorite restaurant! I have eaten at every location. I have never been let down eating anything on the menu at any location. Great customer service! Great business, ran by a great family! I know them personally
I has the taco salad. Being on restricted carbs I ordered without the shell. The salad was cheaper than a fast food salad and was a large serving. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. They did send out cheese sauce in a taco shell 😂. Salsa was very good as well and, yes, I ate it with a spoon - no chips.
We order our food the seating hostess was very curtious to a table of 15 and almost acted intimidated my dad told her just breath and act like it's Ur family. That helped alto she got most of our food to us in 20 minutes the rest sooner .she did awesome. For 15 people she did extraordinary.
Always great food and service!!!!! I can tell you that every time I have been there the service, staff and food have been outstanding.
Great food, nice atmosphere, good prices. Good for groups. Plan ahead for groups if you don't want a wait. It is a busy, popular place! Pleasant atmosphere and decor. Can be noisy at times. Friendly, fast service. Plenty of parking.
Always a wonderful meal! We enjoyed the Queso Dip and Fajita Nachos as an appetizer. Highly recommend both. If you like veggies the Tex Mex is a good one. I enjoy the fajita chimichanga but like to get the diced potatoes instead of rice so I can dip in the queso that comes on the plate.
This is a jewel of a restaurant. I have eaten in many Mexican restaurants but this one is the best. Today I enjoyed the chicken fajita pita. It comes with a bowel of chicken tortilla soup which has a very rich broth and plenty of shredded chicken. The chicken fajita pita was very scrumptious with a generous portion of chicken and wonderfully grilled onions and peppers. I had to eat half of the contents of the pita before I could begin to close it. The wait staff was very attentive and enhanced the experience for my wife and I.
We stopped here on our way through town, and I am so glad we did! The restaurant was very busy, but they got us seated right away. Service was great and the food was tasty!
Consistently delicious! Fajitas and tortilla soup are our new favorites and of course the chips and salsa are always fresh and perfect! And the staff is friendly and professional. It is our go to spot in Pampa. Thanks!!
Good food. Good service. I always go for the build you own enchiladas. You have to get a side of jalapeno cream sauce for pretty much any dish you order, it's not hot, and its totally worth it.
All around a great place to dine! The wait staff are very friendly and accommodative, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is lively and energetic. 10/10
We had a couples wedding shower and we had the food catered from the Plaza in Pampa. It was amazing. Sonia came and set it up and helped our guests and kept everything going. After eating they boxed up the leftovers and loaded up and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests raved about the food. We were happy for all the help. Very stress free. Thanks so much for all of your help. Highly recommended.
We had curbside pickup around 6 tonight. The food was superb!!! Outstanding. The order was correct and the meal was hot when my husband got it home. The only person who gets 1 Star is my husband for not leaving a tip to the person who delivered it to the car. Please forgive us. Out first time as senior citizens to order curbside . We will make it up next time. Just express our thanks.
First time ever dinning at this restaurant. Since moving to Texas, I have been seeking a new "favorite place" for Mexican food. I think I have found it so far! The food was really good, the staff was friendly. Over all 10/10!!!! You wont be disappointed
Stacked ground beef enchiladas is my favorite!
Food was great and customer service was even better. I work in the oilfield and have been to a lot of restaraunts for my only day off for the week. If you like your waitress begging for tips and drinking and eating while serving you, don't come here. If you like dirty floors and tables, don't come here. This place is like a normal restaraunt where customer service and great food come first. I definitely will get my one good meal a week on my day off here.
Nancy was the BEST waitress. Very attentive and personable. I had the stuffed sopapilla and the stuffed avocado. Was a little disappointed in the avocado as it was filled with fajita meat instead of ground beef. The sopapilla was good as was my husband's meat enchiladas but the crowning glory, besides the waitress, was the Tres Leches desert cake. It was superb and will be ordering it again. Thank you for the good meal.
Plaza has lowered the bar. This used to be such a good place to eat. Today, our fajitas were so bland. Zero spice, zero taste. Not even the huge pile of onions had much flavor. Very disappointed in our lunch
I've visited the Plaza Restaurant in Amarillo and was not overly impressed. Not the greatest Tex-Mex, so I've not returned. However, upon visiting family in Pampa, we visited the Plaza for dinner, and wow! I had the Mexican Pollo, which was very flavorful and prepped to perfection! The portions were hearty and dishes reasonably priced. The service was good, and this was an overall pleasant visit. When we return, we'll definitely dine here again!
We had the best waitress, Violet. She was kind, attentive, and really took care of us. I had the best tacos there they had caribino in the name I believe.
Great place to eat a nice Texas-Mexican meal. It has both dine in and take out. There are many things to choose off of the menu and there are several different options for kids too!!! It can take a while for the food to get made and come out so be prepared to be here a while. Dessert and alcohol are also available and the staff are really kind and understanding. Love it here and I recommend it, would definitely come again!
Server was amazing.. Very attentive and prompt. Food was delicious. Asked if we could take our leftover chips and salsa home with us and water have us a fresh bag of chips and a new container full of yummy salsa!
The Plaza is always a great place to eat with family and friends. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is always top of the line. They also have good mixed drinks. Cold brew as well if that's what suits you. I eat here every time I visit
Great food, and want to give a shout out to our waiter Axle!!! He was on point, keeping our salsa and water filled without asking. Glass never got less than half empty (BTW one of my biggest pet peeves as I drink a lot when eating) Thanks for the great service young man!!
Our waitor was extremely attentive and on top of anything we needed. He was polite even though we (accidentally) came in just a half an hour before closing. The drinks were awesome, and the food was delicious. My husband and I each had a pepino loco, amazing drink btw, and we ordered nachos, the spicy checken, and the shrimp enchiladas- all super tasty and delicious (cream sauce on the shrimp enchiladas was wonderful). A little pricey for a Mexican restaurant, but still very much worth the experience. Would definitely go again, and would absolutely recommend.
The food is wonderful but the Margaritas are outstanding
One of my regular go to places. If you like spicy, get the spicy green salsa, but you better like spicy. The regular salsa is wonderful as well. My wife likes the queso. I could eat Mexican food regularly but my wife needs less spice and they do that well also.
We always enjoy eating here! Great food. My favorite is the shredded beef burritos!
This is a great place to eat! It is a big roomy restaurant with a fountain in the middle!! The service is great and you get your food fairly quick!! It was a little pricey for a lunch at 20.00, but there was alot of food.
Love the gluten free menu. Enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
It's always a good experience when we go there, the waitress we had tonight was amazing. She handled all of us, plus another big table. Amazing. ❤️
We have always loved the Plaza and they have always made us Guacamole with NO ONIONS since the plac opened up because we have allergies to Onions. Well we placed an order tonight and they said they are not making Guacamole with no onions or any kind of special for people anymore. I don't understand how they can do this with so many people who have Allergies to certain kinds of foods. I really hope they will reconsider this because it's not fair to people with Food allergies.
Really enjoyed our visit. Service was fast and friendly and the food was great. The stacked enchiladas with red sauce was the best I've had in quite a while.
This is my go-to spot every time I’m in this otherwise unappealing town. The “Mar y Tierra” fajitas are absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The customer service is consistently excellent, which makes the experience even better. I’ll definitely keep coming back.
Haven't been to eat here in years until the other day and its still a really great place to go the food is good and the service is outstanding!!
Super yummy. The rolled chicken taquitos and stuffed avocado are definitely worth a try and the cucumber margarita was so good I had to order another.
Been here twice and both times it was amazing. The environment was great, exceptional service. Had the same waitress both times and she acted the same both times, very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this place to your friends and family. I travel for work alot and found the plaza in pampa texas.
everything was great, the food was good, better than we remembered, Edith was our server a couple days before Halloween and she had such cute makeup! She made sure to ask how many enchiladas for my husbands meal, checked on us after we had our food and asked if we need any refills on chips & drinks. Definitely will be back!
Good place. Clean place. Nice staff. Awesome waitress. Good food. Fast services. They sale beer
I was visiting my brother that lives in Pampa, a friend of his suggested the Plaza as a good place to get burgers. I was surprised that a Mexican restaurant was the best place to get a burger. Our burgers were excellent, cooked to perfection, quality ground beef, bread was delicious, overall, I really enjoyed the food and if I come back, the Plaza is on my list, price was reasonable.
I absolutely loved the stuffed chili rellano with the cheese sauce and I normally hate cheese sauce! My daughter wasn't to big of a ran of the kids nachos but the pizza my son smashed!! Good place, everything was cleaned, and the waitress was fast at her job serving a party of like 12 and her other tables!!
Found this place on Google Maps and decided to try it because of the good reviews. It was excellent! The food was so good. Very nice atmosphere. We were just driving through town but I would eat here regularly if I was closer. The fried mushrooms were also good. Our server was very nice and did a great job.
It's definitely an upgrade compared to some fastfood fries and a burger but I would not eat here a lot probably once a month or only for special events due to the massive price to have only eat with a small group, but I'll also say the waiters are fun sometimes and the service is fast some days but can be slow if its really busy but other than that it's a good sit down restaurant or for takeout.
I ordered a full order of chicken nachos to go ... The cashier/ hostess was wonderful....(attentive , friendly and efficient). The nachos had all of the ingredients I expected to find, although I've never seen shredded chicken and cheese on aluminum foil in a box, lettuce, sour cream, and maybe another ingredient in another smaller styrofoam container, then a bag of chips . I don't know if they were hot or not as I ate them at home in Quail. Did I mention the hostess was knockdown gorgeous?
We were there at 4:30, there was one waitress and several other people doing something, but not helping the waitress. The rug at the entrance tripped the waitress twice, and once she almost fell head first. She had 5 tables to serve, but seemed overwhelmed with them My salad came just 2 minutes before my meal. The salmon was the only part of my meal that was seasoned. I would not order it again, and am not sure I will visit there again.
We came on Mother's Day and they were handing out roses to the moms -so sweet! Tasty food as usual! Pretty good sized restaurant so great for large groups especially although it can definitely get loud!
Food was better than average. We went basic with the three taco plate and nachos. The salsa is very mild. The Charo beans are very tasty. Service was excellent.
Food is good and servers are nice and attentive. The problem I have is the fact that it's not real clean. At this particular restaurant, they have carpet throughout with lots and lots of stains. They have fake flowers all over that are really nasty and should be thrown out. They really don't go with the rest of the decor anyway. None of this affects the food served here though. It's just that the decor throughout the restaurant needs to be updated and something chosen that's more suitable than the fake flowers with dust-bunnies all over them. I think it would make a huge difference by just removing the fake flowers altogether. The restrooms could use a really good scrubbing and either updated or configured differently. Again, the things I have listed have no effect on the food or the service we get here. We eat here quite a bit as a matter of fact. Love their food! 👍🏻👍🏻
We have never been here before and we were welcomed as soon as we walked in. We were then seated immediately. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. Shortly after that our order was taken and food came out in a timely manner and just as we had ordered. Another waitress was stocking some things and our son was singing the ABC's and she joined in. We will be back.
This restaurant is consistently good. I have eaten here for almost a decade and they constantly strive to do better. The staff is great and when there are issues they try to make it right. Inflation these days have caused the prices to go up but it's still reasonable compared to other restaurants. Edit: I still enjoy Plaza but prices are still going up and the menu choices are getting shorter.
I’m from Las Cruces and I know good Tex Mex and this place has really good food. The jalapeno cream sauce is excellent. The only problem I had is they up charge for every single thing. My wife’s enchiladas were a little dry and she asked for some extra enchilada sauce and they up charged us over 2.00 for the sauce. I asked for a few extra tomatoes on my salad and they up charged us ove 2.00 for that and then of course up charged for a side sour cream to go with my chicken. Lord forbid I would have needed some extra ranch with my salad! Good place with good food but they’re gonna getcha where they can get getcha on any additional condiments or sides.
Good tacos and rice. I liked the steak tacos although i dont remember what they were called they were cooked nicely and tasted good. If i had any complaint it would be that some pieces seemed to be harder to chew and were not enjoyable. The rice was cooked nice and had good seasoning. I would reccomend this place for a out of town trip.
I wish they could get the sewer smell fixed. Once you get used to it. It goes away, but that needs to be addressed. Drinks are always good, and my go-to plate is good. One other wish would be to make very hot salsa and it be a little more consistent.
We eat at the plaza in Borger Tx all the time. Never had one problem. However, we ate at the one in Pampa today (12/19/2023). It was around 2, and they weren’t super busy. Our waitress was great, the food, eehhhhhhh. My husband’s food was hot, mine was not. I ordered the chicken tacos with black beans and rice. My beans were hot but my tacos felt like they had been sitting a while. No I did not complain. I’m really wary of sending food back. I’m sure some can relate. Any way, Borger plaza is great. Pampa🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Ate what we use to eat for years. But now its not on the menu so we ask about it and waiter said yes you can order it, so we told her what it was. She ask do you want the tamale, we said no. So we got the same plate cut way back minus the tamale, the ticket was 20.00 + used to be around 14.00 with it all. Bottom line high price lower quality food and less than before. What? New managers? Baybe. Last time for me.
I enjoyed it. My Mexican husband not so much, and they didn’t even know what Agua Frescas were. I ordered the Mexican chicken meal and it wasn’t dry which I was worried about. I enjoyed. For a small town it was a good stop in my opinion.
The plaza has been my favorite play to eat for years. The food was still good, however the service was not. At all. And the music was so loud on the patio that you couldn't have a conversation without yelling over the music. Vey disappointed.
Food was great, but might want to update the price on the menu online! I ordered something that I believed was almost 14.00 and ended up paying almost 17. For it! And my boyfriend's meal was the same way! So please update the pictures of the menus online for future guest and myself!
Everything was good server was excellent we order beer draft from the bar it took them 45 minutes. We got our food we finished eating & finally got our drink from the bar.. not a good experience at all I know the restaurant was busy but 45 mns for a draft beer not kool
We go to the Plaza almost every weekend. Today we ordered the combo fajitas. When brought to the table the fajitas weren’t even sizzling like they normaly are. Meat wouldn’t even melt my cheese. The rice and beans were cold. We told the manager and they did offer to redo but we’re not a fan of sending our food back to the kitchen. They gave us the employee discount. Should’ve been comped. For what employees make they don’t get enough off their meals. Our waitress was super nice and apologetic. Not her fault she didn’t cook it!! Will be quite awhile before we visit again. 😢😢
everyone in my party raved about their food. Unfortunately my taco salad was probably the worse taco salad I have ever eaten, both in flavor and content. The shell was the best item of the salad...it definitely had some flavor and appeal. Our waiter was delightful. His service was outstanding and conversation enlighting. Drinks were ok, dinner for 4 a bit pricy but what isnt now days.
Can’t go wrong if you want Tex-Mex. I went for a drink with friends and they would not accept her passport as a form of identification to have a drink. Her ID was recently expired so she only had a valid passport. The waitress was nice it was the manager that made the call.
went for a family get together they put us at the first long table, it was freezing, couldn't enjoy the meal. Ate with a coat on and a sweatshirt over my upper body. Been home a hour and hands still frozen. Told server, couldn't do anything about it. It was such I will never go again. Couldn't taste my meal so cold.
Let me start off by saying the bartenders and waiter were phenomenal. I came here to enjoy time with my nieces and nephews and relive my youth of coming to the plaza after having a soccer game (alumni game AND being in remission for cancer).I am now 32 and enjoying a drink in the bar and eating tacos. Family has come and gone within my visit here to eat and catch up with no problems. Then when my other family show up the manager (who I have been told is Sonia) comes over to try kicking us out of the bar because “minors aren’t allowed in the bar and we can’t give them drinks” and because “it’s busy and she didn’t have enough staff to keep eyes on us”. *side note: nobody was given any alcohol except those of age, I know better*. This has NEVER happened to me at the plaza in Lubbock or any other time I have come here to the Pampa location to enjoy time with family. I am genuinely upset at this being that I know the family at the table beside me (who also has a minor present) and she did not approach them. Pampa is a small town but going forward I will gladly take my celebrations to Vallarta or Fire Creek.
After all these years eating there, still can't find anything that tastes better than the hotsauce. No flavor
Horrible. I've tried the place 4 times and have had horrible service every time. Wait staff act as if you're bothering them. The gal that sat us was the only nice one in the place. Manager was more worried about hitting on one of his waitresses than he was about anything else. Food was over cooked and dried out. Waitress forgot to bring out salad and fixings for my potato. All around very disappointing. That's the last time I will ever take my family there.
Went out to eat with my Mom and my Aunt. Way too much salt on rice and refried beans. This is coming from someone who loves salt even though I should be sticking to a low sodium diet. The taco meat had way too much comino. My Mom even got a sopapilla to have some sweet and even she said it had salt. We were too polite or figured why even try anything else salty to send back. We paid and left. I came home and took a nap just so I wouldn’t puke. Love the company of my Mom and Aunt. Next time we will definitely go somewhere else where it is worth money spent. Didn’t even want to give one star but it won’t let you post.
I was here 11/23/19 while visiting with family. I had 2 shredded beef enchiladas with green sauce, rice and beans. The green sauce, rice and beans were good, but the shredded beef had absolutely no flavor at all. Didn't even taste like seasoning was added while cooking. The service was good though and the server very polite. I don't live in this area, but would not return again if I did come bac.
I ordered thru Amerabites. So when I received my order I was missing a few things. So I call Amerabites but I also called the The Plaza to see about the guacamole I received. After talking with a manager at The Plaza she said they would have my missing items waiting on Amerabites to come pick up. Needless to say for two scoops of guacamole I paid 11.99. I not be ordering or eating here again. My bill just to add was 103.00.
My family and I have come here regularly for years and have always enjoyed the food and friendly staff…. Until tonight…. We didn't get all of our food we ordered, but that wasn’t my issue. People make mistakes. Not only was our waitress flat out rude, while we were eating and she asked if we needed anything else, my husband told her we were fine and she literally rolled her eyes at him! As we were finishing up, I noticed there were two other staff members standing near our table literally staring at our teen kids, whispering and glaring at them. We went to eat tonight with all four of our kids to have some family time. Our children aren’t bad kids. They’re respectful. There was no reason for the way the staff acted tonight.
We went there for lunch on Dec 2, but very busy. Was seated at a table. 2 waitresses saw us sitting there. Sat there at least 5 minutes and was never spoken to or had a waitress stop by. Mind you they were very far from being full up and not even a hello we will be with yo in a minute. Very poor service. And I love your food. Will go back.
