Really good time at Fonda La Catrina. It was pretty busy but we got seated immediately and our drink and food orders were taking right away. The food was so so good and also the chips and salsa were perfect. Definitely give this place a try.
Amazing spot for quick lunch with clients and I would recommend getting there around 11:30a.m. to get a table since smaller eating area and does get packed since food is amazing. I love the three enchiladas with red sauce it is a smaller portion, but 100% does fill you up.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle!! Everything I've had here has been outstanding. The restaurant is small but has a good size bar and grest atmosphere. In warmer months, the outside patio is really nice too.
Great little place. Went as a group of 7 adults... i would suggest 6 or less... it was tight. Parking in the back lot. I could see the lot filling up fast when busy. You do need to walk around the building to get to the front - no shortcuts from the parking lot. Staff was nice, food was lovely. Give it a try for a late lunch :)
This place was great! The food was fresh, flavorful, and wasn’t your run of the mill Mexican spot. Great place for a casual date or a dinner with friends. Extra points to the bartender that gave us a complementary beer. Pretty sure he accidentally poured it for another table that didn’t want it, but it was very generous nonetheless.
Went here for the first time today for lunch and loved the food! Very flavorful, authentic-overall delicious! I got the enchiladas verde (w/chicken) and my friend ordered the sopes, and we had chips w/guac and salsa alwell. We both very much enjoyed our meal and would come back again! :)
We had three dishes, all delicious. I had the rajas con papas and would recommend trying that vegetarian dish first. Our other two were off the breakfast menu: a tortilla and mole dish and a scrambled egg and avocado sandwich. Both were great. I’m not always a fan of mole, but this was not overly sweet, which made it work. Our waiter was helpful, especially when we were torn between choices, and told us about the sauces and what she liked about each. Everything was fresh and the service quick on a Sunday lunchtime. Well-priced considering the quality is everything you’d expect in a high end hipster joint, which this place is not. Very casual vibe, with enough conversation to make it a bit loud, but not impossible to hear across the table. We will be back to this place for sure.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Georgetown! Delicious margarita. I like the spicy one, but their house is great too. The comalito is my go too with steak, chorizo, melted cheese and cactus. And of course their famous homemade corn tortillas. But don’t order it to go, not the same. Their pozole and menudo are great too! Chile verde with pork is scrumptious.
Fantastic brunch experience! Authentic, house made tortillas, and salsas, it is clear they value good, real food with fresh ingredients. I can usually tell when something comes from a jar, can, or bag, not the case here. I will be back when I'm in town, thanks to the Fonda crew! I only wish I could have enjoyed a cocktail (had to work this afternoon).
Met a couple friends for dinner at Fonda La Catrina and really enjoyed it. Got seated right away and had the chips and salsa while waiting for our friends. We shared the sopes with chorizo as well as the cochinito pibil tacos, which were really flavorful and filling. Service was great and though it’s a good dining area, it gets a bit loud and could have been a bit warmer.

Great food and service, fresh corn tortillas. Big dining area. Great food delicious. Great prices too.
My favorite spot to get shrimp tacos, shrimp is big and cooked perfectly. Ceviche is very refreshing.

Love the vibes, don't love the happy hour margaritas. If I wanted a lemon lime soda, I would have ordered a Sprite! Seriously, its still $8 for the happy hour price, you can still afford to put some tequila into the drink! I promise you wont lose money if you did add the 1.5 oz of your base tequila! You will lose money if people stop showing up because the value isn't there...
Chilaquiles Rojo - it was very tasty. It needed a bit of spice though so I asked for some Tapatío, otherwise I would've given it 5 stars. I'd definitely have the dish again. Very cool atmosphere, great service, and lots of options at the bar. I had a shot of Ocho Plata with my meal and it was perfect. I also really loved the artwork they had on the walls. It was beautiful. I have added Fonda la Catrina to my list of favorites ❤️ I'll be back soon 😊
On our way back visiting Crystal Mt., found this place on Google with good/high ratings. Place was busy for a Wed evening which was a good sign. Interestingly, there was another Mexican restaurant next door which was empty! Easy paid parking next door. We were seated right away and the server came over, took our orders and promptly had our drinks and appetizers out. Had a great time as the ambiance was pretty cool, fast service and good food. All of the food we ordered were very good, piping hot and flavored. The only one not good was the Chilli Relleno, which felt stale and tasted weird, which to their credit they took off the tab as we couldn't enjoy it. Very satisfied and happy, would recommend this place. Lots of vegetarian options too.
It's been a while since I came to lunch with my husband around 1:30 pm. The restaurant was full of customers, so I decided to sit on the patio. Patio was warm with a heater on the ceiling and a nice sitting area. There were people celebrating their children with their families, and it was nice. We were unsure what to order but decided to share Camalito with the two of us. It was eaten by wrapping meat or cheese in homemade tortillas. The meat was a little hard, but it didn't taste bad. Our server was nice and pleasant.
I liked it, the flavor was nice. I got the Chile rellano, I'm used to getting 2 for that price but it wasn't necessary. My friend had the shrimp tacos she liked it with the sauce. I would have liked a few more options on the menu and the tables were pretty small with our margarita flight 😂 spent $100 for the 2 of us

Really a good street tacos and their drinks are fairly reasonable. I attended the company outing here and our food was delicious.

It has a fun atmosphere, with a good menu of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options (it probably does dinner, but I wasn't paying attention). We enjoyed the enchiladas and chile relleno. Good service.

The atmosphere is fun, light-hearted, festive. It's one of the reasons we come back every couple years. The food can be hit and miss - we love the chips and salsa, and the carne asada and chorizo tacos/enchiladas have good flavor. But the chicken version is plain, the rojo sauce simple. The last time we went my chorizo enchiladas in verde sauce arrived as chicken in red sauce. Still good, just not as hoped. Maybe we'll check out the mole next time. We have no problem going back - we try something different every time. But we rate it a 3.5-star not because its "not our thing" but rather its average food that we enjoy occasionally.
Been there four or five times food is always good kind of pricey it's pretty busy most of the time especially in the summer

Extremely expensive, the portions are small for the price. I asked for no onions, the entire thing is smothered in onions. 20$ for one burrito is insane
Sat at the bar before our flight to Denver and greeted by the fruit flies. This was our first time there and had no clue on what to order from the menu. The bartender didn’t say ANYTHING to us like at all. Even tho he heard us trying to figure it out the menu and looking around at other tables. The vibe wasn’t welcoming and the bar swarming with little flies. We only ordered drinks and left.
Man, I don't understand the reviews on this place. First time writing a negative review. Chilaquiles were soggy when they should still retain some crunch. Salsa roja flavor is fine. $6 dollar upcharge for 2 eggs is wild. $4 upcharge for chicken. First Mexican restaurant I've been to that's charged for chips (they were good chips though) and salsa. Staff was not exactly rude but not exactly welcoming either. Friend ordered $15 lengua tacos (qty 3) that looked more like a snack than an entree. 22% automatic gratuity for larger parties. Overall, the food and value at this place is pretty atrocious. The only redeeming quality at this place is the ambiance, outside patio was decent.
